Here's Why the Bugatti Chiron Is Worth $3 Million

Feb 27, 2020
This is a Bugatti Chiron and it is currently the fastest production car you can buy; will reach 261 miles per hour; It's also the most powerful production car you can buy

here

; It has an eight-liter four-turbocharged 16-cylinder engine that produces 1,500 horsepower. Plus, it's the most expensive new production car you can buy. The base price of this car is just under 3

million

. Today I will take you to tour it. I borrowed this Shiron from Bugatti, which is practically the only one. T

here

are people crazy enough to let me drive it, but this was organized by Grand Touring Autos here in Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
here s why the bugatti chiron is worth 3 million
Grand Touring Autos is the Bugatti dealer here in Toronto and they also have some other exotic brands, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, etc., and We are opening a new location and Bugatti lent them this car to display at the grand opening, but that's tomorrow, today I drive it and I sincerely hope I don't crash it anyway, let's get to all the important Bugatti stuff, as you probably already know. has a history of manufacturing sports and racing cars dating back more than a century. Volkswagen bought them about 20 years ago and eventually released the Veyron, which was the fastest car in the world at the time, but the original Veyron had only a thousand horsepower and could only do 253 miles per hour at numbers that simply had to be outdone and then there's this: Sharon has 1,500 horsepower which, to be clear, is six 2000 Honda S, the base price is $2.998

million

before options that are surely plentiful and extravagant, the Charon is also the world's fastest production car available right now: it will reach 260 miles per hour, although it is not as fast as the world record edition of the Veyron, which was its predecessor, which could reach almost 270, but no one will reach that speed.

More Interesting Facts About,

here s why the bugatti chiron is worth 3 million...

Of course, but you can do it anyway. Today I'll take you on a tour of Shiron and show you all of its interesting quirks and features, of which there are plenty, and then I'll take it out on the road. and drive it and then I'll give it an excellent rating and for more of my thoughts on the Shiron, click the link below to visit autotrader.com oversteer, where I've compiled a list of the most expensive cars currently on sale . on autotrader now I'm going to start with the grill, which has a very distinctive shape, they call it a horseshoe grill and it has been a characteristic shape on

bugatti

since the beginning of time, my favorite

bugatti

that used it was the eb- 110 that had a totally different front end that didn't really work with the grill and they still added it anyway because bugattis have to have this grill.
here s why the bugatti chiron is worth 3 million
Another thing I like on the front is the LEDs and headlights, their design and appearance. one of them is cool with these four little squares on each side, it has a very nice appearance, these are just the normal operating lights, if you are wondering why the lights are flashing, it is due to the frame rate of the camera, the lights They actually look solid. When you look at them in person, they don't actually blink when you see this car on the street. Now when you turn on the headlights, they come on in the middle of the two exterior lights, the lights come on and they come on in the middle. the two interior running lights, but my favorite are the turn signals that appear as four light strips below the LED running lights, which is a really cool look.
here s why the bugatti chiron is worth 3 million
We're not done with the front end of the Cherone yet, another interesting element with the headlights is welcomed. The lights when you have the key in your pocket and you approach this on your own, the LEDs come on and they don't just come on, they come on in a sort of pattern to welcome you to your Bugatti experience. The welcome lights are also a bit tricky. to see due to the frame rate of the camera, but basically when you approach the car, they first light up one at a time at half brightness from the outside, going towards the grill in the center and then they light up at full brightness maximum going in the opposite direction, which is really cool, also cool with the headlights on the inside of the headlights, you can see there's a little duct there, what does that duct do well?
It cools the brakes, that's right, there's a channel from the headlights to the brakes on this car and it keeps the brakes cool to allow them to provide maximum stopping power. Another cold channel that you'll see on the front of the Chiron is down here on the bumper and you can tell that this channel doesn't really go to anything, it starts at the front and the ends are just inside the arch of the wheel. It turns out that it is functional and is actually designed to send air to a very specific place to minimize turbulence on the side of the car and make it a little more slippery so the car can achieve better results. acceleration and high speeds speaking of brake cooling the front brakes on this car are 16 and a half inches which is huge it's a pretty good wheel size for most cars and on this car it's the brakes so You can see why they would need to be Great, but let's get back on the grid for a minute.
Now I want to talk about the Bugatti emblem, as you can see the Bugatti emblem is front and center of the grill and Bugatti says that this is the only part of the car that they made unnecessarily heavy when it didn't have to be that way because the Bugatti emblem is made of silver, but, of course, it is. That kind of drives home the luxury car point and then we move on to the trunk up front, now there are a couple of interesting things about the trunk lid, starting with the trunk lid itself, take a look at the design of this trunk lid, it looks like the batman logo, it is a very interesting piece when you open it, it is very nice, look now at the top of the trunk lid, you can look, this car has a blue carbon finish and the people at Bugatti told me that it sits in the center at this perfect 45 degree angle and they won't accept anything less.
That's the kind of perfection you demand when you charge three million dollars for a vehicle. Next, we move on to the trunk. Now, opening the trunk is done like many other sports cars. You pull a small latch on the driver's foot that brings it into this position. Then there's a little latch under here. You pull it and it opens upwards, there are a couple of interesting things you'll find once you get in here, the first of which is that there is a large black metal divider in the trunk. I asked the people at Bugatti about that and they told me that the rule is In the North American market, if your trunk has a certain uninterrupted volume, the law requires that you put one of those interior trunk handles inside the trunk, so if Someone gets stuck or locked in the trunk, then they can get out.
Bugatti didn't want to add one of those interior trunk handles just for the North American market, so they added this divider to divide the trunk in half, which decreased the total uninterrupted volume of the trunk enough to be able to avoid this regulation and that's why only the north american shiron models have this divider now a couple of other interesting things you will find in the trunk of this car one is the overall size bugatti says it is sized to hold a carry on bag for a plane obviously the version American with the divider inside is a bit limited in size because the divider divides the trunk in two, but that was the original design specification anyway.
Now you will see another interesting item in the trunk, on the right side of the trunk, there is a small piece of luggage. that's clipped in there alcantara that holds the tire inflator kit, this car obviously doesn't have enough room for a full size spare tire so instead of opening it up you get the tire inflator kit and it's designed to fit perfectly On the side of your trunk you also have a couple of other interesting items inside the trunk, one of which is right above the tire inflator kit. It's a little printed plaque for each shiran and it says bugatti and it says where it's built and it says one of 500 which, by the way. is the production of this vehicle bugatti says that they are only going to build 500 of these for everyone the other interesting label inside the trunk is the one that says warning that the temperature inside the trunk can exceed 122 degrees, which is 50 degrees centigrade just letting you know that if you put something in there it could get hot.
Next we move on to the Charon side, where you can see that the most visually obvious and interesting element is this silver line that runs along the entire side of the Charon. Car they call it bugatti line or c line since it is shaped like a c. Now it is a very beautiful piece but it is also functional. The line separates the rear fender from the rest of the car at the rear, allowing plenty of air to enter. behind to cool the engine, which is obviously important for such a large engine. A couple of interesting things about the Bugatti line, one is that it's this giant piece of intact aluminum that starts down here and ends all the way back. there it is absolutely huge, another interesting element on the side of the car.
You can see that right behind the front window, behind the door, you have the fuel door, you just touch it and it opens and then you can see well, it's actually like this. It's not the fuel door, but that's where you put oil into the engine. The fuel door is on the other side, it's the exact same size and shape and opens exactly the same way, but that one has a picture of a small gas pump on it. In it, unlike the small oil lamp on the other side, then we move to the back of the shiron, there are a couple of interesting elements

worth

mentioning.
I'm going to start with the engine itself, you can see it printed on the engine. It says w16 on one side and 1500 on the other, representative of how much horsepower this car has. You can also see the two Bugatti logos printed there on the engine, which is a cool little touch, but one interesting thing about the engine is that it can. It's not accessible, you can't actually open this to get into the engine, so you can't modify your shiron yourself, which frankly is probably a good thing, that's why the oil cap is there on the side , looking like the fuel cap, so if you want to add oil, you can do it over there;
Otherwise, it is best to leave the engine in the hands of professionals. Another interesting element near the engine. You can see that line going across the center of the engine and down to the end. Well, in the middle, that line actually runs through the entire car, it extends throughout the entire vehicle, including the interior, which I'll show you in just a minute, then there's a couple of other cool features back here and obviously you can see the brake lights on. On the side that's no surprise, but there's also a red light strip that runs all the way down the center of the rear of this car.
The people at Bugatti told me that the designers refer to this as the kiss goodbye, since if you ever try to race a Shiron, this light. I'll kiss you goodbye when you see him walk away. Below you can see another important element

worth

mentioning here and that would be the wing. Now the wing has several different positions that it can be in now. It is in its normal state. position it is in most of the time when driving, providing some downforce. Now the car has several drive modes which I'll get to in a minute that change the position of the wing, for example if you're in drive mode and you're on a race track the wing changes to provide more downforce, better for cornering, if you go into top speed mode, it goes down to make the car slippery and more aerodynamic, and the wing can also become an air brake, so when you brake sharply at high speed, the wing shoots up and basically provides drag to help you slow down, in addition to the normal brakes you already have an interesting quirk that I like about the wing, you will notice that the wing is made of carbon fiber just like the rest of the body of this car but take a look when it's up there is even carbon fiber under the wing now mainly when the car is parked the wing is down so you probably won't see it but bugatti.
I decided to put additional carbon fiber under the carbon fiber in case someone parks it with the wing up to ensure it always looks perfect. The attention to detail is impressive. Also, the brake light is interesting. It has this type of aerodynamics. design on top and they light up when you press the brakes or put on the turn signal and they flash and it has a cool look that is a departure from your typical car, interestingly the third brake light on this car, the middle one is hidden , you would never know it's there but when you apply the brakes you can see it, it's just a little thin strip of brake light right above the Bugatti logo on the back and on the subject of the back of this car, I have to talk the elephant in the room or at least the elephant on everyone's bumpersShiron models sold in the United States.
Bugatti has to install these big black plastic bumpers on the rear to comply with the US federal five mile per hour limit. Bumper Safety Regulation: You won't see this on any other Chiron sold anywhere else in the world, only on US cars and I suspect most US owners will remove these the moment they receive the delivery, of course, another element that we must mention is the sound and So now we will listen to the Shiron. Next, we move inside the owner. You start by opening the surprisingly light door. After all, it is made of carbon fiber.
The first thing you notice is that it is on the floor next to the seat. It's a small keyhole, that's where the speed key goes, if you want to reach the top top speed of the car, you have to put a key in that keyhole to activate the highest speed mode, so where does that key live? Actually, it's right next door. On the keyhole it is marked Shirone and you just take it out and open it like a normal volkswagen or audi folding key, you insert it there and then you go into top speed mode which takes you to 260.
Now interestingly it doesn't you can just put the key in and go to 260, the car also checks the oil cooling, everything to do. Make sure it's ready to go that fast and then you can hit the full 260. If you don't insert the key and enter top speed mode, the highest you can go is 236. Now, beyond the top speed key, you might be wondering exactly what the normal key looks like on the bugatti

chiron

and well, It looks like this, it's just a key, but it's wrapped in leather and it says Bugatti and it's very pretty and it only has lock or unlock buttons.
It's worth noting that this car has a proximity sensor, so you'll never have to take the key out of your pocket, which is good because there's no little loop so you can put this on a keychain. I guess Bugatti feels this doesn't belong in the keys. For smaller vehicles, a cool thing when you get into the car you don't have to take your key out of your pocket, but there's a little key storage area to the right of the steering wheel, put the key in there and that's a place. where you can keep it while driving, of course, when you're ready to get out of the car, you'll want to make sure you get the key out of the key storage area, let someone come and steal your bugatti now if you look over there, next to the eye of the top speed lock, you will also find a few other elements, one of which is the handbrake.
You push or pull it to turn it on or off. It's pretty simple. There are also memory settings for the driver's seat. You can set several different memory locations to fit the position you want most. It's not particularly unusual. Next, move on to the driver's side door panel. It has a particularly cool quirk and that would be the way the window switches and the door locks stick together, it looks cool, you have the window switches on top, you push and pull them, turn them up or down the windows, but underneath you have the lock and unlock button and when you just take them as one piece, it has a very clean and attractive look.
What's interesting are the mirror controls which, frankly, look like normal mirror controls on a normal vehicle. You put. You adjust the left mirror. You put. You adjust the right mirror. You can fold the mirrors and you can turn on the mirror heaters and yes you can fold the mirrors this is what they look like when you fold the mirrors on a bugatti

chiron

and then move further into the interior it's hard not to be really surprised . with just the physical materials here the leather the aluminum the carbon nothing pretends to be anything else it looks like carbon if it looks like aluminum it is everything feels and looks very good and when you touch everything there is a feeling of solidity everything exactly as you would expect from a three car million dollars, but getting back to the quirks, one interesting element is how many storage cubbies there are inside this car: there is a storage cubby in the driver's door panel and a second storage cubby in the driver's door. equal panel on the passenger side two storage compartments on the door panel there is a small storage area in the middle of the center console and then there are two other interesting ones one is the glove box, to open the glove box you press a small button on The glove box opens, the glove box cools in this car, so if you want to take a drink with you and your Sharon, you can keep it cool in the glove box.
Also interesting is that there is a small storage cubby under the center control console with the switches and get this, this car has double pane glass for added quiet, which can sometimes interfere with phone reception, but if you put your phone in that small storage container and you have it connected with bluetooth, the phone will actually use the antenna in the vehicle that is hidden inside the windshield for better reception while driving, thus eliminating the problem you may have with reception and double pane windows. Now this is another element that you may find interesting. When you get into this car, look around and you'll notice there's no touchscreen here, which I imagine would bother a lot of people.
I have paid 3 million for a car and I don't even have a touch screen. Everything has one of those. Well, the theory here is that Bugatti wanted the interior to be timeless. They knew this car would be special in 10 years, 20 years, 50 years, and they also knew that any display they put up today would look outdated and terrible in just a few years. Look at the navigation system from 2005. So they tried to keep the interior relatively clean of things like that that would date the car and make it look old. It's the same story with the speedometer in the middle of the gauge cluster.
It's not an electronic display like it is in many other cars, but rather a traditional analog speedometer that is designed to be timeless and still look good 40 or 50 years from now, when everyone will laugh at today's displays. . Next we move on to the air vents, which are quite interesting on the one hand, they are quite small, although I have noticed that when you turn in the car and turn on the air conditioning, the size of them doesn't really matter, it has a lot of air conditioning in this one. cabin, it's a relatively small interior, the most interesting thing is the way they move, you can move them from side to side quite easily or I can move them up and down using this little dial in the middle which is kind of a unorthodox vent move, but that's how it works on the shiron.
Also worth noting another interesting item that the people at bugatti told me is that this car has the first airbag in the world that fires through the carbon fiber if you have an accident, the passenger side airbag It shoots through the carbon fiber to make sure you don't get hurt. It's the same story with the side impact airbag in the seats, the side airbag fires through the carbon fiber of the seats to protect you in an accident. It's the first airbag to do that. Next we move on to the center control console and specifically the center control console dials, which are among the most interesting I've seen.
This is what I mean, now you can see that these dials are just climate controls, all four have a different function, the top one adjusts where the air comes out, the next one adjusts the fan speed and the amount of error, then below You have the dial that changes. the climate control air temperature, then the last dial turns on the heated seat and if you touch the little silver button under the seat icon it toggles between the driver and passenger heated seat, but there is a hidden trick if you hold pressed that button that switches between the heated seats, look at this now, suddenly each dial is completely different, the top dial now shows how much power you are currently making, the next one shows your current speed, the next one shows the rpm of the engine and the last one shows in which gear.
However, you are moving a dial to change it and it instantly goes back to being a climate control, but after a few seconds it goes back to showing the other elements you were showing and this is the interesting thing: you can choose many different elements. To display on the center dials there is a gauge cluster screen which I'll cover in more detail in a minute, but for now if you go into that screen you can set the dials in the center to display all kinds of items, for example, i cruise screen selected and now they show trip stats like average speed and fuel economy, but if you want to go back just hold that button at the bottom and they'll go back to being climate controls again, then in that same area, another one item interesting in this car is the shift lever that operates in a kind of unusual function right now it's in park if I pull it down that puts it in drive, if I move it to the left that puts it in neutral and if the move shift into neutral and then push it down to put it in reverse, then the gear lever goes back to the middle position, interestingly at any time you can just press the top and you will automatically be in park, two other interesting elements on the lever of changes is that the top button that says press to park, for some reason a lowercase p was chosen for press and a capital p for park, I'm not quite sure why, but it's one of the mysteries of the shiron, the other interesting thing.
As for the shifter, it just falls so perfectly in your hand that it's specifically designed to fit exactly in your hand and that's exactly what it does. Next, we move on to the C-bar or the Bugatti line inside. Now remember that line. On the outside it looked like the sea and I called it the Bugatti line. Well, they have the same thing inside. Remember when I told you that this car has a line that goes all the way down the middle. That is also true. inside and it's this Bugatti line that forms a kind of C on the inside and divides the interior directly in the middle, carrying forward that style cue from the outside.
A couple of interesting things about this little line in the middle is that it even splits the rear window in two, meaning the rear window is divided into two separate parts. You have a left rear window and a right rear window that you won't see on many other cars, but the most interesting thing about this line in the middle is that you can turn it on if you move the light switch on the roof to the correct position. This light can be turned on and you can drive at night with this light illuminating the center of your car.
Bugatti says this light is the longest uninterrupted interior. light conductor in the entire automotive industry and I don't doubt it, more importantly it's just a really cool piece, it brings the exterior styling to the interior, it looks really cool, this is the only car I've seen with anything similar to This is also interesting when it comes to lighting, the light switch itself, it is very beautiful, like everything else in this car. I have never seen a light switch that looked so nice and so unique. It's worth noting that everything in this car can be Individualised, you'll notice for example that the back of the seats says Shiron on them.
They told me you wanted them to say Doug. You could pay for that. No problem. Same story with the passenger and driver side footwell. They also say Shiron sewn into them. once again, you want me to say doug, no problem or whatever you want me to do. I asked them: do you reject something? What if someone wanted something crazy? They said we pretty much do what our customers want, we try to find a way to beam that works and to make our customers happy, a couple of other interesting elements, this is what the sun visor looks like on a bugatti shiro.
Note that there is no mirror on the driver's side, that's because if you drive one of these, you don't need to see a mirror to know you look good, but the passenger side sun visor has a mirror in the visor, so which is a nice and thoughtful touch. Another interesting element when you don't put a touch screen in the center, you don't have a radio. controls there, so you may be wondering how it is possible to turn on the stereo. Go down the center control stack to the bottom right under the shifter and there is a simple on/off button, press it and that turns on the radio, press it. again and that turns off the radio, it's that simple, of course that's not the only way to access the stereo.
There's more to it than that, which I'll get to momentarily first. I want to talk about the steering wheel at the base of On the steering wheel, you see, it says sharon, which is a nice touch and right above it it says lc, which means launch control, you put the launch control, you put your foot on the brake and the car gets ready and then you have about three. seconds to step on the accelerator, release the brake andtake off, launch now an interesting thing about launch control. Bugatti says they refused to approve this, be ready to sell to customers until they could do 200 launches in a day and have the transmission take it and not have any problems with heat or braking or anything else like that .
Our next interesting thing on the steering wheel is the one that says engine, press engine and of course, turn the engine on, press engine again and that spins. With the engine off now, the other really interesting element on the steering wheel is on the left and that would be the dial that switches between modes. What kind of modes does the Bugatti have? The standard automatic mode is used for city driving. to the right and you will see a small highway called highway mode, kind of lower the car a little bit, use that for the highway at the bottom, there is one with a checkered flag which is the driving mode, use that if you are on a race track those are the three main modes that you want to use if you're in this car, then of course there's also the top speed mode that you can access and then on the left there's another mode and it's called lift.
If you want to take this car onto a flatbed or put it on a car transport or something, you might need a little more ground clearance, so you put it in lift mode and then it tells you it's going to lift the engine. . I can see the car being raised a couple of inches to allow it to climb onto a roof rack. The other interesting elements worth mentioning in the vicinity of the steering wheel are the stalks coming out of the steering wheel, on the left, you have the turn signal. which works like a regular old turn signal, no problem except you can see this little on and off thing in the middle, you can move it from on to off, it turns the cruise control on and off, it's not labeled, it's simply a kind of hidden Easter. egg and that's not the best thing about the cruise control that appears at the end of theIn stock, you see a small plus minus button that allows you to change the speed of the cruise control.
If you want to increase or decrease the speed of the cruise control, it's the same story on the stock wiper, it looks like a normal stock wiper and you can change it. two three four which sets the speed of the intermittent wipers, but there is also a little up and down arrow at the end which is the dimmer switch for the gauge cluster, if you want it to be brighter or dimmer just tap those arrows and does what you want. This is especially cool because instead of putting more buttons and dials for these functions in places other than the interior of the Bugatti, they simply saw a place where they could put them and keep them out of the way and keep the interior tidy, it's a really cool idea.
That's a good idea, I mentioned that this car doesn't have a central touchscreen, but it's worth noting that it does have an infotainment screen and that's inside the gauge cluster. There are several different menus to go through, so let's do it now that you control the screen. With buttons on the steering wheel and most menus being fairly typical, this one shows details of the trip, for example, such as top speed and average miles per gallon. Next up is the Bugatti tire pressure monitor, which is of course fancier than the one on a regular car. There is also a stopwatch.
For race track use, this screen also contains a navigation system and stereo controls, as you may expect something you didn't expect. Is this an octane shifting function? This car is only programmed to run at 1500 horsepower on 93 octane fuel, so if it puts a lower octane in you're supposed to go in here and change it, which limits the horsepower to 1100 horsepower to prevent engine damage. And yes, even on a Bugatti Chiron you can set a speed warning that will beep if you exceed a certain speed of your choosing. That's the screen to the right of the speedometer, which is the one you'll primarily use for most of the vehicle's functions, as you can probably see, but there's also a screen to the left of the speedometer that's worth noting because it has some important features which you can see the outside edge shows your rpm as I rev the engine you can see the tachometer goes up.
The inner rim shows your ps which is basically a European equivalent of horsepower, it shows exactly how much horsepower you are using at any given time or you can change that display to show the precise rpm of the engine at any given time down to the single digits , so if you want to know precisely if the engine is spinning at 1246 rpm, I guess you can find out, the other cool thing I like. On the screen on the left, if you open a door, it shows a top-down image of a Bugatti with the door open and that's a pretty interesting image.
It's not just a generic car like most other vehicles, it's undeniably a Shiron. Open the door at night and you can see this car projects Shiron onto the ground below, which is a cool little touch, so that's the Bugatti Chiron. Now for the scary part, I'll hit the road in a car that costs more. than my house and my neighborhood, but first I had to get gas. Yes, I took the Bugatti Chiron to a Petro Canada gas station and filled it up next to a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Dodge Journey. If you've ever wondered what a Bugatti Chiron looks like. when you're just sitting at a gas station, well, here's the next one.
I drove the car and spent about an hour in it, mostly at high speeds. However, I didn't get a chance to film many exterior shots of the car driving, so I'm going to include some shots I took of the car at lower speeds even though they don't really match my driving experience, just so you can see. what does Sharon look like in motion, okay, I'm a little nervous. I wouldn't like to pretend I'm not. Thats the reality. The first impression you get when you're in one of these is that you're like, "Oh my God, I'm in one of these." That's the first thing you say, you look at the steering wheel and you have the Bugatti logo there and you think: what has my life come to?
I'm driving this car. It's almost difficult to sit behind the wheel here and no. Think to yourself that this is something absolutely incredible, think about it. I'm behind a taha. This applies. You know it a hundred times more. So, that's something that can't stop being on your mind unless you're like that. rich that you don't care and even with just a touch of the accelerator you can hear the engine start to do its job and you know there is a lot more there if you want it, that was just a small touch at the base of the accelerator. florida for just a brief second is tremendously incredibly fast absolutely incredibly fast.
I'm going to try it again wow wow yeah I mean the thing is there's some turbo like you go in soft but if you drop the hammer the car knows what you want to do and it absolutely does it and it does it incredibly fast and does it with such force. One thing I find interesting: this car is a little faster than the 918 I also drove, but you can feel it. The 19 felt tremendously stable but this feels more luxurious isn't the right word but it's just not the 918 felt more like a crazy kart and was loud and crazy and you go whatever you want. you could cruise at about 300 miles an hour doing whatever you wanted to do.
It's amazing to me that I can drive it on a nice smooth road and it feels like a car. I really feel like you could take this on a road trip if you want. I have plenty of space here. I mean, I'm six-three. I have at least three inches between, you know, my head and the ceiling. I have space. the foot room, everything and I can put my seat further back and it's a comfortable seat, it's not one of those crazy gt3 sports seats that you want to die in, they might make you forget you're driving a bugatti you might say to yourself , Yeah.
I'm in a car, I'm like traveling but then you press the accelerator and you remember everything sitting at a traffic light, stop sign, it feels, it feels good, you hear the engine, obviously, it's a giant insurance right behind you, but Apart from That's it, it feels like a car, you don't hear much outside noise, the double pane windows take care of all that, so it really ends up being almost a luxury car experience when you're stopped or when you're going in low gear. it's very quick um the shifts are immediate when you're in normal driving mode and you're going at a normal pace um you don't feel them at all uh they are It's a dual clutch and it's obviously very, very smooth and it feels just fantastic.
In fact, it's quite surprising to go full throttle. You're in the territory of losing your driver's license before you know it. It's amazing how fast. this thing is and it does it without drama and that's probably the most incredible thing about it it's absolutely euphoric and of course it goes at 100 building speeds which shouldn't say kilometers 100 kilometers of course it goes that fast that's what it does and The funny thing is that you're not going to reach even close to the car's capabilities. Driving in any kind of regular traffic or normal scenario with grab-and-grip-grip handling, you feel like you could go much faster than this handling. so you push the steering, boy, it just grips like crazy, I mean, it shouldn't be going that fast and there's no body roll and you really feel like you can do almost anything, there's absolutely no sensation anywhere in you. you know, loss of control or something like that in this car, which it's almost hard to imagine something 1500 horsepower when you're driving the hell out of it and you're floating in that thing and you think you're waiting in this thing, it's more like it's very stable, just What you think about, I think when you drive this car, is the engineering, that's what I'm really thinking about, is that they've designed all the fear and everything and they've only left you the good stuff, so that's it. the bugatti chiron even though this car is absolutely amazing, amazing in every way, some car enthusiasts are not entirely positive about it, some people say it's too heavy, there's too much engineering, it's too expensive, there's no There's enough excitement in it, but I think people say that mainly because they know they'll never get the chance to own one, they'll never get the chance to drive one, sit in one and even see it, maybe, but I'll tell you what: I've driven one. and it's amazing, so you can cut it.
That shit right now anyway, now it's time to give it a Doug rating starting with the weekend categories and the design of the Charon is beautiful but there is a lot of controversy about the styling, it fits pretty perfect and gets a 9 out of 10. Acceleration, no argument, easily gets a 10 out of 10. Handling is excellent among the best, but the shiron is a little heavy and the steering is a little light and gets a 9 out of 10. The fun factor is obvious . The course gets a 10 out of 10 and so does the cool and easy 10 out of 10 factor for a total weekend score of 48 out of 50.
That ties the best, meaning the daily score is decisive, so we start with the daily categories and features the sharon is loaded but has few modern high tech equipment partly that is by design but this car has no radar equipment or blind spot monitor it even gets a six out of ten the comfort is impressive, especially considering what it is it gets a 5 out of 10 which is a great score for a car like this the quality is top notch this is one of the nicest interiors I have ever seen but I would really feel the reliability long term and ownership costs, so I can.
I give it more than a seven out of ten: practicality is next and it's surprisingly manageable and usable, but it attracts a lot of attention. The cargo space is ridiculously small and gets a 1 out of 10. Finally, it has value. This will start some arguments. but here's the thing, there is nothing like it, nothing that combines the best performance of a supercar with the best materials and workmanship of luxury cars, there will be depreciation if the Veyron has anything to go by, but if you have the money and you want the best car, this is still three million dollars is an incredible amount of money and it gets a 6 out of 10 for a daily score of 25 out of 50.
Add them up and Doug's score is 73 out of 100, making him in Doug's new scoring champion by far. A simple point about the 918 Spider in the amg station wagon. Here's a comparison with some other modern super cars I've tested and you can see that the Shiron is simply the best, but you better give it the price, but even when you put your foot down. Even when you, oh God, Kim, what are the chances it's not? It doesn't have its radar cut off, that would have been a story.
