Jun 03, 2021
hey guys for this video we are going to remove my clients extensions and reinstall them and this will be the sew in method if you want you can find me on instagram at christy in the cabin here are my clients before and we did a bleach and a tone but i already uploaded that video so here's a little clip if you want to see that part of the service that was my little video that i uploaded to instagram and actually got shared on the blonde solutions page too which i was very excited about with this but I did a whole video on the bleach and tone service part so that's just a short little clip so if you want to see the actual bleach and tone then that was the last video I uploaded before from this one so I don't know if you noticed but it's been about six to eight weeks since my client was last here and that's about our regular service hours that we do, we bleach and tone and extensions every you me and I we have done quite a few videos of your services, i will link them all in the description if you like to see bleach and shades or extensions.

I usually include both services together in one video, but I thought I would. break them up this time so they're different so this is her regular growth that she has and it's probably like maybe an inch and a half or so so we're just going to go over and remove the extensions one thing that I really like What I like about these extensions instead of taping is that, for one thing, it's much less damaging if it's not damaged at all. I feel like when you do tape it's a long time to remove and have to re-attach and all that.

I feel like it's a hassle to do those kinds of

s and my client really likes doing the beaded rose because she feels like it's so much more natural and she feels like it's so much less around her head and she feels like she knows she can get her

hand

s through it. her hair a little easier or she doesn't feel like she has all the material on her scalp so i think that's a benefit of these extensions compared to tapes is that the

removal

process is like it's only a few minutes, so compared to trying to remove some tapes i mean sometimes it can take like an hour then you have to lighten the hair and wash all the dirt and everything out so i feel like this is a huge time saver to be able to do um some

because it's just the hair basically like it's slipping out and honestly I don't do a yarn anymore. takes the guesswork out makes it so much easier for me so that's just my preference so here's her hair we're going to remove the second row and honestly we were thinking we were going to do three rows of hair but she was happy with just the two rows that's why we didn't end up doing the third one and I will also say when we installed these last few extensions that we did I thought we were going to do a third row but she was happy with where she was so I probably wouldn't have dropped them. way below the crown area i probably would have brought them up a bit more if i knew we were only going to do the two of them and here she is after she did her bleach shade and i mean i would cut the ends but sometimes i feel like i don't I want it to sound bad, but when clients have hair that's a bit broken at the ends or someone needs a cut because their hair is a bit thinner and sparse. the ends, I feel like that really benefits when someone gets extensions.

I usually don't like cutting her hair because it dissolves the weight line of her natural hair, so for me personally, yeah, I don't want to hear in the comments like oh she needs a haircut like we do with girls. sniper tips so sometimes but usually we just blend it in so I feel like when someone's line weight is a little bit sparser it helps to blend in with the extensions much more naturally if they're interested in learning in detail and step by step um better than i can show you on youtube i recommend you follow zack musquit he is previously known as platinum perfection on instagram so look him up he also has this monthly subscription called platinum posse , which is where I really learned this specific method of extensions and I highly recommend making them part of your monthly subscription.

I think it's like 11 a month or something. i think she was like 11 or something super short like that she gives you all her tips and tricks as far as extensions color blonde if you are blonde and hairstylist or if you are a hairstylist that w Ants plus education on blondie bleach and tone toning for platinum blondes, regardless of extensions, he does different methods. I highly recommend you join Platinum Posse. Go to his Instagram. You can register there. work on their instagram stories on that private closed account so you can always go back and check them out which is really nice because there are a lot of times like when i was learning this particular method for the first time it was nice that i could get in there and i like double check everything to make sure you were doing everything right and he also does live videos and will also answer if you have any questions you can always ask them where i know most of the time some of those great hair artists on instagram like they ain't there trying to give away none of their secrets none of their formulations you can send them a message asking them questions and they won't get back to you so that's one of the nice things you have with your um monthly subscription that you pay for you can also send you a message.
I have messaged him many times and he always gets back to me so I really appreciate that about him so I highly recommend him if you are interested in learning this type of extensions technique. to his platinum posse page or on instagram it will direct you to that and join and sign up i think he has like a thousand subscribers or um followers there so it's nice to be able to get that kind of one-on-one experience that you feel like you're getting from him, now that we're on the other side, we're going to take a little bit of a section of her hair that's not rolled up and then we're also going to take the half of the section of hair that was rolled through the bead and we're going to blend them together and then insert them through a new account and that's going to create our base we're doing so you can see those little bits of stray hair I'm just taking like half the hair for each section and then blending that into the new section of hair and that replaces the string.
I don't mind the rope application but I felt like I was always doubting myself or questioning how I'm doing this right and I find it easier not having the rope so I'm glad I learned that way but I feel like this it's much faster and eliminates that step of having to try to question yourself like you're nodding. ok i got it right, do i like to loop the right way or whatever? I've seen some videos of other hairdressers that are self taught, um doing their hand

extensions or their sewing method or whatever and some of the services that I see you do when you guys are putting on the hair beads like pulling the bead tight against the scalp and then relax a little bit you don't want to see the scalp pulling when you're doing the counting you want to make sure you're loosening it up a little bit so you know you've got it right up to the scalp but it's not pulling the hair not at all that is what will give you guys like bald spots or what will make your hair pull out.
There have been times when people come in and if this is a service that they have done many times, you can always see it. like a horseshoe a horseshoe horseshoe horse you know what the hell and you talk about how you can always see a horseshoe around his head where the hair is thinning a little bit where the track is because he's pulling so hard he's pulling the hair out like this Make sure that if you're doing this part of the service, anything to do with tightening your scalp, make sure you let the hair down a bit so it doesn't pull too hard and cause any damage. or any thinning in those areas and that's why I don't re Also go into too much detail about this service where I normally stop the color i g or like the bleach or whatever sometimes I tell you exactly how to do things and I feel like you're not in person seeing it or if someone isn't recording it and being able to hold the phone very close so you can see exactly what's going on like I don't know how to describe this to you and how to tell you how to do it is like you have to look and have to be able to see very clearly and I feel like I can't unless I have someone by my side to record this part of the service and tell you exactly how to do it like I'm doing so that's why I feel it's good to go for training in person for this part of the service and that's why I don't really go into too much detail about it because I feel like I can't give you the best education for this service. you probably get and I don't want to tell you the wrong way to do things or not give you the best information or the most accurate information if you can't see it very well from the angle that I can show you so maybe one day if it's something you guys want then maybe I could put on a dummy and try to find out. have someone come and record for me but i would like to find someone to do it so anyways long story short i feel like i'm not able to give you the best knowledge that's why a lot of times when it comes to plot tied by hand or um you know I'm not willing to give you a ton of information or tell you how exactly to wind the hair or how you're supposed to do the threading in this part because like me I don't even know the words to say um unless you he was recording specifically for you while he was doing the service um so and that would have to be on a dummy or something so that's why i'm saying if you go zach in the platinum gang like he really breaks it down and i think he has his wife there to shoot for him so you guys can get the best of you and the best angle and I just don't think I can necessarily give it to him that's why I like it right now usually this part about the service, I usually like not to say anything because I feel like it would be confusing and hard to understand, so yeah, I just wanted to let you know that I feel like you could learn something from someone better than I can tell you, so yeah it's for I'm not giving too much information here because I don't want to be too confusing, now that we're done with our first weft, we're going to glue it together to make sure this knot is secure. and then i cut it and this is the first time i go through and iron the hair as i go.
I feel like it just helps make it look a lot neater. My sections look so much cleaner and I can see exactly which hair. um, it should be exactly where I need it to be and how the hair is blending, so this is a step I would normally wait for. all the way through but i've actually liked doing it this way in the service to make sure i can see that the hair is blending well and then it also comes out a lot better for when i get my next section which i'll be doing well as well one thing i don't like about hand tied extensions is i noticed a lot of people and i'm actually going to discuss this with my client towards the end of the video but i feel like a lot of people, they stay like an inch or two outside the hairline ok so when the hair is down it's like you can still see the natural hair in the front and I see that a lot a lot a lot a lot of hairstylists where everything looks great from the back but then in the front area as you can see you know the hair is a little shorter or a little thinner so I really like the idea of taking some ribbons if your client is okay with that or wants you to and just some tapes appear, s I just maybe like two sections right in the front and I feel like that will fill in that spot where it feels a little thinner or not so full where the extensions are just on the top area and that will help it blend in a little bit better. so sometimes you have to combine two methods as i know ribbons are not my favorite as i like to make ribbons but after doing this i definitely prefer to sew but i feel adding some ribbons might be beneficial just to help blend the hair and making sure it's nice and full around the front of the face also really well and honestly the thing about this guy that I've noticed from a lot of stylists that bothers me is that I feel like because it wraps around the back of the head that sometimes doesn't go far enough in this area yeah so when it falls forward sometimes there's too much natural hair and yeah you don't have that length in the front kind of covering exactly e and yeah, two, so that's why I'm like, uh, you know, yeah, but um so sometimes I say if we want to put a little bit of tape so they appear right in that area, you know, but I mean people are hurt, they're happy they are happy but yeah sometimes i say if you just want i put some things in there i feel like the tape and some damaged my hair a lot more than these yeah probably because you have to get them out a bit morestrong yeah there would be a couple of times a couple of them come out and stuff oh really and that's because i would wash out conditioner from my hair that kind of stuff and these things feel more real ok ok so that was just part of the conversation we had about adding some puts on a little tape and puts on a little bit and she's fine with her extensions so we'll just leave it at that and her ear looks good and I don't notice it on her as much hair but if you feel like you can see a bit in the front where your natural hair falls just take some scissors and try blending the extension ons into your natural hair and it gives them kind of a face frame look and that will help lessen that line if you feel you notice that in your client's hair you really should never be able to look like you know natural hair vs extensions because everything needs to blend together seamlessly and you shouldn't be able to tell the difference so that's one of the reasons why I I like these extensions. they can look like keratin ones especially the ones at the tips of your eyes they can look stringy as they are like the little pieces so and then you tape on you need to make sure you are putting a full amount everywhere to really get a lot of coverage so you don't see the individual strands that's one of the reasons I like to do these because it looks so much more natural you don't see any difference like breakages in the hair where you know you have some set up and it's not like if only you had a nice even track wrapped around so now just create a nice natural look so if you haven't done this part of the extensions part or these types of extensions I recommend you at least give it a try. and seeing how you feel about it the

the

of all that stuff is so much easier I mean I remember when I was doing eye tip extensions that would take hours and hours and hours and then the removal would take hours on top of that so it's much better to have something that is faster it's much cleaner the removal process is much less too so always try new things and see what works best for you it's so nice wow that blood is pretty good, perfectly, yes. that's crazy, do you want something?, I mean, since we did it last time. yeah not really i mean i already have a little ces cupcake here yeah it looks really nice sweet and i don't have to wash it. it's her extensions it all blends together so well you can't see where her hair is and where the extensions are so thank you so much for looking if you sat through this whole thing I appreciate it let me know if you like these videos where we just focus on extensions, thanks so much for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe.
