Jun 03, 2021
In this video, I'll take them with me as I install

extensions

using the

hand

-

tied

invisible bead

method

for the

first

time. Why with ibe is that ibe will not have any tension on the scalp? It does not irritate the scalp and does not bead. be exposed so if one day you want to be able to wear your hair up you can wear it obviously you can also have your hair down but with the application of the ibe

hand

extensions

there should not be any damage or too much tension on your natural hair so before installing the hand

tied

extensions, here is a before of what my hair currently looks like, so my hair right now is about 16-17 inches long.

I have layers all over my hair right now. You can see my hair is curly, I have some texturizing spray on, so that's what creates the illusion that my hair has a little more volume, so my hair is described as medium fine, usually when I don't have hair. curly feels pretty fine and pretty flat, so I'm really excited to add more length and fullness to my hair. I'm really excited about the fact that I can put my hair up in a ponytail like many of you. I know I'm an athlete and I also love being able to have my hair up in a ponytail, plus being able to do high buns and cute hairstyles and still have the extensions hand tight, being undetectable and I also love the fact that my hair Natural should also not be damaged with the way this

method

is done so I am excited to try it, so the price and maintenance of these extensions are different than any other method I have tried for home use. and I personally haven't tried any other type of extensions that have been sewn or taped into my hair, so this is my

first

experience.

I'm very excited about this, so throughout this video I'll explain the pricing. maintenance so next time you see me haley is going to install the hand extensions for me using the ibe method so i will take them with me while we install them and you will see my results afterwards so i just got to the salon and today we are going to install extensions handheld for the first time. I'm going to do a partial sheet and then we're going to do two rows of hand tied extensions. I'm really excited, so here's the finished hair, needless to say.

I'm obsessed, you'll probably hear me keep saying this because I keep looking at it in the mirror and thinking, oh my god, this looks so perfect you can barely see my natural hair with it. uh everything goes together so well, I love the color she did, she did a partial, we went more like a nice beige troll blonde, I didn't want it too cold, but I didn't want it too warm either, I tend to have it. pretty brassy, which a lot of blondes do, but I love the color, especially the color of the extensions, and one of the things I really love about extensions is that the roots, like those in hand tied wefts, just blend in.
hand tied extensions with ibe method first impressions cost upkeep move ups are they worth it
They mix and match. my roots are so perfect, so she did a great job matching colors and picking the color of my rose, but I love being able to flip this up and down. My rows feel a little tender like where it's sewn, I mean, that's how it is. It was expected because

they

are literally sewn into my hair. Now I was also telling him that when I was installing them I was expecting it to feel a lot heavier with the amount of hair I have and to almost feel a lot tighter with the way it's sewn. but honestly I can barely feel them now, I'm starting to feel a little tenderer right around where it's sewn, that's to be expected.
I looked at other reviews from other people who installed them and said

they

would like to come in the next day. Over 40 hours it felt a little more tender than when it was initially set up with the ibe method but it starts to become something you get used to but I really like how it feels now and no. I have headaches right now, so it will be interesting to sleep in these for the first time, but I can't put my hair up in a ponytail. I'll probably do it throughout this video and I'm really excited about it. that I'll wake up with this in my hair and I won't have to like take them in and out, so we'll see how these curls wear out throughout the week, when I need to shower and wash my hair, and what it will be like to style it. hair and its maintenance so I'll keep you posted so stay tuned and I'll get back to you later this week so here's our check in for day three and this is what my hair looks like.
I can't believe it's been three days. since installing them I haven't used any hot tools since Hayley initially styled my hair so again she liked that alternating curl pattern with just the clamp and now we have these tousled texture curls, this has me so excited about everything . I like new hairstyles that I'll be able to explore with this kind of similar body shape and curling my hair, usually around day two and day three is when I start to like my cute hairstyle so I'm really looking forward to it to do it. all the new hairstyles that I will be able to do in the future and as for the tenderness of the rose I am not used to sleeping with a man, it feels a little heavier now I think my hair and my head are adapting to the fact that I'm heavier so I just get up and bother just to get rid of any pain, but other than that I feel pretty good, I haven't put my hair up yet, a ponytail or a bun, but I probably will.
At the end of this week, speaking of the end of this week, I'll talk to you guys and I'll most likely do it when I wash my hair for the first time and I'm going to start with my hair, so I'm going to curl it. My hair on camera for the first time with my hand extensions and I'll give you my final thoughts. That's all until now. I love them, so I'll check them out in a moment. I came back and tonight. I'm going to wash my hair for the first time so we haven't washed it for five days and I'm really happy because I usually get to day three or four when I really need to wash my hair so if anything I can add like a dry shampoo absorb any oil, refresh the hair, prolong the hairstyles I've been doing.
On the fourth day, I put my hair in a ponytail and today I have it in a high bun, so we're ready. to wash my hair, so I'm going to get in the shower now. To wash my hair, it is recommended to wash and shampoo each row at a time, so I'm going to let my hair down. I'm going to divide my hair into sections. so I'm going to shampoo the bottom row first once it's rinsed after shampooing the bottom row then I'm going to

move

on to the top row I'm going to shampoo the top row and then rinse and then I'm going to use conditioner like the mid length one in two ends after getting out of the shower.
I'll be back to do a gentle blow dry so I'm ready and dry for my first styling session to just curl tomorrow, so I'm going to hit the shower and I'll see you guys, so this is what curly hair looks like with a soft blowout. Now the tool I used was a blow dryer brush. This is like a two in one. It's like a hair dryer. a combo round brush that honestly made it so much easier for me to blow up my hair. I thought it would be a lot harder than it was, but I just started with towel dried hair and then did small sections at a time and blew out. uh you'll be blowing your hair out in no time, I'm so happy I can use this with my extensions.
I have been using this for two years before so even without my extensions I love this tool so I attached in the description this video this hair dryer brush. Now my hair naturally has a soft wave and curls, but it has blended quite well even with the extensions with this dryer, but probably if I wear my hair straight it probably will. I really need to straighten out a couple of strands on my face that tend to wave and curl, but other than that it goes together pretty well, my hair looks super long right now, next time you see me it will be the next morning. and I'm curling my hair for the first time so I'll see you guys tomorrow morning so it's already the next day and I'm so excited to personally curl my new hair for the first time.
Actually, we are on the sixth day. Now the fact that I was able to go like five days without washing my hair was amazing and my curls stayed for so long since Haley initially curled them at the salon today, what I'm going to do is I'm going to use a barrel curling iron long. I'm going to show you how I'm curling my hair. This is a bioionic long barrel curling iron. I love it, especially for long hair, so now that I have extensions, I'm very excited. To give this a try and see how fast I can curl my hair with this.
I also have an inch and a quarter. I love it too, so I could mix those two together, but I'm just going to use. This one today, before I start using it, I'm going to add a little more product to help with heat protection and then to help straighten the hair. Once I do that, I'm also going to brush my hair as well. I'm going to divide my hair into sections and work from the nape of my neck up, so let's start curling the hair. Now to conclude this vlog, here are some questions you guys had to ask me on Instagram and how to take care of them. some facts that just stand out about them, so to start, let's talk about pricing.
This was the most important question. Prices can vary when it comes to DIY extensions, especially with the methods you are using again. You have to remember that I did the invisible bead extension method with haley, she is certified in that method, there are tons of different methods and the prices again vary not only depending on the method you use, where you live, the salon you go to and the stylist you're seeing experience, so do your research again. I highly recommend the ibe method so far. I love the ibe method. In fact, I will attach a link to ibe certified stylist locators in the description.
Search these links for stylists certified in this. method, so if you want to consult with them local and ask them questions and see if this is a good option for you, that's something you can do, definitely go and check out the link in the description of this video and Back to the prices , the biggest factor for any truly hand tied extension installation will probably be the

cost

of the hair itself, so hand tied extensions are generally your hand tied extension pencil, whichever method you use, especially the ibe method, they will go through specifics. lines for these hand tied extensions so they know the quality of the hair that they are working with and that they are putting on your head the quality of the hair so that the hair is very high quality so this is real hair you can style it with heat.
The hair was the most expensive investment for me for the hand tied extension. My hand tied hair extension

cost

around 800 to install, but you have to keep in mind that the longer it is, the more it will cost and the more hair. that you add and you have more hair wefts, so more wefts and more length will be a little more expensive. I'm 22 inches, we cut it down to 20. I wanted to have more length to work with instead of going down. the journey of turning 18 and knowing that it's going to be very similar to the length I have for my hair, since it would grow like next year, so I wanted more hair so I could play with work and if I needed it to trim them, I could trim them and having that peace of mind now that when making 22 I needed to do two rows instead of just one because we needed to blend more seamlessly if we just did that length and didn't add more volume to If it wouldn't look as perfect and blended as it does, I'm very happy with the length that I made and the way we trim them and the placement of these extensions, so we are choosing the hair to use and the length.
Those are just conversations you'll have with your stylist at your consultation now, Haley's prices for example, so this is just going to give you an overview of how much they can cost and the investment of how you can look, especially long term for me, uh. I'm even still looking at the price now and considering the quality and experience I've had so far, it's definitely

worth

it, so the price again can vary depending on the desired look and the volume you're getting. with their extensions so that they can range between 900 and 1600 onwards. Your first installation for hand-tight extensions will usually involve installing your extensions.
A personalized color of your extensions, a stylish cut and a care package to take home. Now their styles may not work for that. but that's something that Haley gave me love, she made it for my take home hair care package and she gave me a guide that explains everything from how to care for my hair to considering facts that I want to share with you, but she came in this nice little bag I have two scrunchies, so I've been using them. She also gave me a little clip to part my hair, which has been amazing for the shower.
I've been using scrunchies a lot. um so thank youhaley because it's a lot of hair that I'm not wearing like the same ponytails I used to wear and she also gave me some Kevin Murphy hair oil to take home. I'll probably end up buying this for myself. I have really loved putting this on from the middle of my hair to the ends, it really softens my hair and leaves it feeling so soft, other than that she also gave me a brush that I have been using quite a bit because if you really want to make sure you detangle your extensions Again, it's a lot of hair, so it can get tangled quite easily.
Regular maintenance of your natural hair color will likely cost you extra, so keep that in mind when you're considering making this long-term investment, so with custom color extensions, you never actually colored them, but chose this color based on my preference for what I wanted and then a color that we can maintain all year round, especially when I maintain with partial sheets or foam sheets for installation. the hand tied extensions in each row cost 200 for installation so I have two rows installed in my hair 200 each and then the color added is just an extra cost so the second most asked question is how long can pass between them.
What is the maintenance? It is generally six to ten weeks, depending on your home care and how fast your hair grows. That's where reapplication and moving the rose comes into play to get your hair to start growing. uh your extensions will grow out so you have to go in six to ten weeks to

move

them up she just takes them out and just takes the hair and moves them up the new application is only again 200 per row so again you can vary um and This will be determined at the initial installation and consultation with your stylist.
So how long does hair normally last? For hand-set extensions, your wefts should last between nine and 12 months, especially with proper home care and the use of professional products. I honestly thought it was going to take a lot longer, but it was actually only three to four hours for me to make any real progress and the reinstalls are much faster than the initial install, so another big question is: can you? put your hair up this was the biggest question I had and I'm going to show you what a ponytail looks like oh guys so I'm going to grab my ponytail what I'm going to do is I'm just going to flip my hair and you'll see which you can't even see it so initially the rose felt very tight and it loosened up a bit so I have no problem putting my hair up in a ponytail, I can put it in too.
I also do it in a bun, but this also has a lot of fullness to it. You have to remember that I have two rows of hand tied extensions, but that's with a scrunchie, so I'm really in love with how much fullness and how much length I have.
