GUEST BATHROOM REFRESH | SPRING EDITION

Feb 27, 2020
Hello loves, welcome back to my channel, so today I thought I would show you how I decorated my

bathroom

and got it

spring

ready for my

guest

s, so let's start with the shower curtain, basically what I did was use both. shower curtains that I already had with me, so what you see my husband doing here is he put the shower curtains as high as he could, the white shower curtain rod is a little bit further in towards the actual shower and then the silver one will act as decorative and the other one we put more on the outside so here it's just putting the shower curtain liner on which is an extra long size and I'll link it below for you guys because I had to buy it. from Amazon was not available in stores, so I will use these outdoor curtain panels that I bought online.

I will be using two of them instead of a traditional shower curtain and what I love about these is that they are already available. Pre-treated for high traffic water, so you won't have any problems with any kind of mold or anything, and I also love the fact that they are velcro tabs, so they are super easy to install. My husband took it as I did. I don't know a minute to install them quite quickly, so if you have a double curtain rod, you can use that too, but the point of the overall look achieved is this, so I love that they basically create a larger space by bringing them in. raise the height of the shower curtain to the top as you would in a room with normal curtain panels, so this is a very economical way to create a larger space in your

bathroom

and as you can see here, I'm just showing you the opening of the panels and yeah I really like this look and I'll link to them below if you're interested but they're pretty inexpensive and they come in various colors so I came across this really nice picture frame at HomeGoods and It was marked down to $12 on clearance just because it had a few scratches and was a little beat up but I thought I could definitely make it work and give it a little love and fix it up and it would be perfect for what I was looking for something to do in my bathroom and I didn't have to spending a lot of money, so I thought I'd channel my inner Martha Stewart DIY self and headed to Michaels and picked up some really pretty plant leaves. which are these right here and I got this entire package for just a few dollars of course I used a coupon so it came out to about $4 and I only needed two of the package but I thought I would save the package for a future project.

More Interesting Facts About,

I also bought this warm silver metallic paint from Michaels and again used a coupon so it only cost me a few dollars so I gave each of the leaves about three coats of silver paint and then let it dry anywhere. three to four hours went by about three and a half hours before I decided to frame them, so this is what they look like after they completely finished drawing. I love the little metallic silver shimmer that it has and you can totally do this. Lots of other colors would look super pretty too and gold but since I have silvers and whites in my bathroom that's the look I want but feel free to use whatever color fits your deck or I went into Michael's and picked up this really pretty quilt , has an ivory shine.

I don't know if the camera can capture it very well, but I decided that this is what I was going to use as a background for my leaves and I chose this one. In the scrapbook section at Michaels they have so many colors and textures to choose from, so if you have another style in mind, you can definitely choose a different one. I just thought this would blend in really well, but I would still give it a little bit of texture to make it pop against the white mat and it would also look really pretty once the silver leaves were on.

I'm just using my hot glue gun to put a little bit of glue on the back of the leaves just to class it up. to keep it in place, but once the mat and everything is in its frame, it won't move much, but I just wanted to secure it just on the top, so don't go crazy with the glue gun, it doesn't need much glue. just a little bit to keep them in place so once I get it where I want and I know it looks great I basically tape the whole frame together and the reason I do that is because I can always change the look of this frame in the future and it would be easier than gluing it, so you guys saw this in a post I put on YouTube as a little preview of my bathroom renovation, but I bought them at HomeGoods. and I thought they were as pretty as the Cree and white design.
I thought they would be perfect in my bathroom and I bought the full set so I showed you guys the prices here but they are great. price and excellent value for money. I love this brand, Tahari. I love all of their home products so here I decided to use the white ribbon that the new towels came with and basically upcycle them and I thought these towels would look super cute. a little white ribbon tied around them in a bowl, so it's just another way to display your decorative towels. You don't have to do this at all, it's optional, you can leave them as is and they would look just as pretty too.
I just saw this look. I liked it, so that's basically what I'm doing here. You guys are more than welcome to use another pretty ribbon if you have it or even like a pretty tassel or whatever you have and would like to display on them, so after I struggled with the HomeGoods tag for a while. I rinsed this pretty decorative jar that I bought from home goods and left it very dry and ready. I loved the glass top, it really sold me so I thought it was like the perfect little touch. glam that this bathroom needed, but I just bought these cotton pads from the Dollar Tree and that's what I'm filling this little jar with.
I also picked up these acrylic silk dispensers from home goods. I picked up two of the same ones as them. They were $12.99 each and I plan to use one for hand soap and the other for hand lotion. I really like the acrylic design, it's like a nice, clean, elegant design. I thought it would be great for the bathroom, so I bought this really pretty basket. from home well, I fell in love with the faded gray color. I thought it looked great with all the other pieces I bought from them too and I'm a big fan of displaying my towels especially in the bathroom and laundry room just because I love the look of clean towels so that is basically what I'm doing here, the purpose of this basket is simply to display my large body towels, not only for the terrace but of course so that your

guest

s can use them too.
