GT7 Special Projects | ''Alfa Romeo 8C GTA'' Hardcore What-If? Build
back in the 2000s there was this trend which really got into full swing and has continued until today wherein certain prestige manufacturers would have a really cool sports car or super sports car or even supercar and then they would not quite be happy enough with that and would make some more

hardcore

track fettled version of it ferrari had the scuderia lamborghini had the super legera maserati had the mc stradali and of course porsche technically kind of got ahead of the curve with the gt3 rs and various other models too one of the ones which always bugged me though was

alfa

romeo

because although it is a close cousin of the gran turismo the 8c a stunning car which of course we have in gran turismo never got that treatment even though it has competition in its literal name we never had a more competition-focused version such as a quadrifoglio or a gta or even a stradali that is

what

this

build

is all about behold my answer to the question that

alfa

romeo

never answered the 8c gta now this

build

is a

special

project and for those of you who have been following the channel for years i'm hoping that you'll be excited to see this series back because some of my most fun and most creative ideas as far as tuning at least tend to come from here so the idea is this make a vehicle based on the 8c which can rival stuff like those scuderias and superleggeras and rs's but in the

alfa

romeo

kind of way so the specs are improved the visuals are changed it's more

and it is most definitely quicker around the track as you'll see in a second now i've done multiple versions of this on my quote unquote storefront if you will in the game and i've actually done six different colors there's red white silver yellow green and blue so there's something basically for everyone personally my favorite colors for are probably either red or the pearl white it looks very nice in both of those and in terms of the performance of course i'll show you in just a second

what

we've done underneath as far as the visuals go i'm not going to run through that because obviously there'd be no reason to download my version then but you can kind of see

what

i've done if you want to try and copy it however if you want to get any of those six versions all you need to do is go to my player page within the game and you can download them and as far as i know i believe it downloads all of the visual mods as a style for you i think that's how it works i can't say i've done it with anyone else's style so i can't say for sure so that's it as far as the visuals go you could have of course try and wing it yourself but i would recommend just downloading it it's an easy way of doing it and then as far as the parts let's go over to the tuning shop because i wanted the specs to be improved but not ridiculous it's not a race car at the end of the day but something like a ferrari scooter rear that went over...

500 horsepower the lamborghini guyardo was already over 500 and went even higher etc etc so as far as

what

i've actually fitted i've gone

hardcore

with the brakes with carbon ceramics very appropriate for a supercar allows you to paint the calipers of course as well as far as the racing stuff we've gone for the racing air filter the fully customizable suspension which technically is better than a road car would have of course but i like fitting that because it gives you more control over exactly how you want the car to be i've gone for the clutch and flywheel and the fully customizable racing gearbox or transmission if you prefer as far as the semi-racing stuff i've got the semi-racing silencer and i would actually recommend going for i believe it is the semi-racing one i've got fitted we'll see in just a second for sure because one of them swaps out the exhaust for a kind of ugly twin setup whereas i wanted it to still look like a nice looking quad exhaust but with a bit more power and a bit of a different sound we've got the fully customizable limited slip diff of course as far as club sports stuff i've gone for high lift cams and for this section i've gone for the power restrictor which you don't technically need and the ballast which i would recommend more so if you want to really hone in that weight i am using the ballast so just as a heads up you will need to buy that if you want to make it exactly like mine i did purchase as...

i said both the semi-racing and the sport silencer we'll see in just a second which one it is so you can just skip forward in the video instead of buying both i've got the stage 1 weight reduction only because again i want the car to feel realistic it's no super lightweight car but it is lighter like a superleggera like a scuderia blah blah and as far as the tyres we've just upgraded it slightly from sports hards to sports softs some people might find that one in particular to be maybe a little bit too good for the car but overall it's your choice if you want to make it even more realistic you could maybe leave it on hards i like the soft because it's not too

hardcore

like a race car but it definitely has so much more grip than the hard ones do so that's it as far as the parts go then if we jump back into the home garage menu where you can briefly see a pretty nice look of the car as well as it rotates i'll show you the actual settings now for the settings on this car obviously the sport soft fitted as you can see it sits at 483 horsepower in this tune i think that sounds quite nice quite realistic it's not extreme it's not ridiculous similar kind of level to

what

like a maserati stradali would have and then as far as the suspension we've got 115 mil on the front and the back so it's lowered by i believe about 20 millimeters or so over stock again nothing too crazy anti-roll is on four as you can see i've increased the...
compression on the dampers to 36 with 40 on the expansion then the frequency is increased slightly to 2.3 and 2.5 just a little bit of camber on the front and the rear 0.3 which is fairly minimal but i find that to be just right for this car the tow angle is neutral as far as the diff it's a very subtle change compared to stock 7 on the initial torque 40 for acceleration and then 15 for braking i find that is pretty perfect for how i want the car to feel but of course if you want to make some changes by all means give that a try as far as the gearbox i wanted it to feel more like a slightly closer ratio kind of

hardcore

track day kind of vibe so of course we have the racing transmission fitted the auto setting for top speed is on 350 kilometers an hour which doesn't really mean that much in the game just gives you somewhere to start from and then for the gears as you can see it's a fairly close set of six gears to go with 2.9 1.9 1375 1050 850 700 and then a final drive of 4.2 now i'm not exactly sure

what

the top speed on this is it may be able to do up around 200 miles an hour i'm not sure but i don't really care for this particular

build

that's not really the most important thing it gets through its gears pretty quickly it has that

hardcore

track day vibe and that's more

what

i'm going for so if you want to test it out and tell me down below

what

speed you got out of it i'd actually be pretty interested to hear that as far as the...
ballast we're running 80 kilos which might sound like a bit of overkill you know why drop the weight just to increase it again well the reason why is because simply put you have to do level one first and ironically level one is

what

drops the most weight so i had to add a bit to bring it up to a more realistic amount now for those using pounds obviously you'll have to do the conversion but the reason why i chose 1490 which seems oddly specific is with that 80 kilos of ballast which i've incidentally placed kind of eight percent more toward the front end of the car which is right on the pinnacle of a 49-51 split which is i believe the perfect weight ratio for any car or any sports car at least i know 50 50 is the popular thing but a little bit less weight on the front i think is ideal the reason why i've gone for 1490 though is stock it's 15.85 so it's dropped by a very healthy amount kind of like how the power is increased by a healthy amount but i didn't want it to feel ridiculous you know it's not a gt3 car at the end of the day so i still wanted the weight to be decent like a road car should be but still significantly less so incidentally for those who don't recall

what

the stock numbers are the weight is down from 1585 to 1490 and the power is up from i believe it's 442 horsepower or 445 to 483 so again relatively minimal on paper but that is the kind of difference you'd have probably seen in real life if you compare the specs...
on many super sports cars and their

hardcore

variants those tend to be the kind of differences you'll see the biggest difference is actually the performance points which jumps from i think it's 555 stock to now 630 or just over so quite a lot higher the power restrictor is untouched the ecu is untouched and i've actually got the downforce set as low as it can go of course you could see i fitted that little rear wing i think the rear wing really suits this car as well and the reason for that is simply put again it's not a race car i mostly fitted the wing for the looks and it does happen to give you a little bit of extra downforce which is pretty nice now speaking to the exhaust part which i mentioned i've gone for the sports one so to look back to

what

i said that'll save you even more money because as i said i bought the semi-racing one as well you don't need that just go for the sports one then and then as far as the rest you can see all the parts that were already fitted the cams the weight reduction etc and then we are ready to go now if you've done all of that then the results that you will see will be as follows when we take it out on the track now to give you an idea of

what

kind of a difference this makes over the stock car in practice it's actually a pretty huge difference here into lagos the stock vehicle was eight seconds slower than the pace of this car now obviously just going from sports hard tires to sport softs immediately...
makes a difference but the crucial thing that i wanted with this

build

was i wanted it to much like those real world rivals to be significantly quicker but i also wanted it to retain the playful attitude that the hc has i still wanted it to be a card that you could get the tail out with a car that still looks fantastic and sounds as good as a gran turismo car will and a car that you can break loose and have fun with but also really focus in your skills hone in your throttle and brake control and get a really nice lap out of it and even use it to race with if you want to around that 630 pp level so ultimately i'm super happy with how this turned out i love the handling on it if i don't say so myself and as far as this

build

goes it's a vehicle that we never got in real life and that is the whole point of

special

projects

so i'm very happy with how it turned out if you do decide to give this a try or grab the you know whichever color variation you like from my storefront i hope you have a ton of fun with it and of course i'll see you next time with more

special

projects

i've always already even got a couple of other ones lined up some racing ones some road ones so stick around on the channel for those and until next time i'll see you then but for now as always thanks for watching
