seeds. For best germination, purchase agricultural quality seeds from a farm store. Or you can buy regular cilantro at a general store. Now you have to crush the seeds into two halves by applying a little pressure.

You just need to press the seeds gently with a little weight, which will break a cilantro into two halves. This treatment is used to improve the germination rate. Guys, in case you are growing cilantro in the ground, you should also consider breaking the seeds in half. Be careful when crushing, just cut the seeds in half. Don't make dust. After crushing them, along with the broken seeds there will also be some whole seeds left, which is not a problem. The seeds are ready. Now take a container, which should not be transparent. Fill it with water. Now, on top of the container filled with water, place a mesh basket.

ally. And cilantro was planted in this same basket. I am reusing this basket. Now, in this net basket, sprinkle the broken seeds. Guys, here's a trick: don't sprinkle all the seeds at once, sprinkle in 3 batches with an interval of 5-6 days. This will help you harvest cilantro in batches later. Look, I've saved some seeds for the next two times. Add a little more water to the container, so that the seeds can come into contact with the water.

Don't let the seeds dry out. If you wish, you will not be able to keep the seeds moist by filling with water, so cover the seeds with tissue paper or cotton cloth. Now keep this setup in a bright place. In winter, direct sunlight is fine. But in summer you should protect hydroponically grown cilantro from the scorching sun. In 7-10 days the seeds will begin to germinate. This result is after 12 days of placing the seeds for germination. Guys, I have placed tissue paper over the seeds to keep them moist for longer. When the seeds start to germinate, remove the tissue paper or just leave it there, but rub and tear with your hands so the roots can get into the water.

Guys, here is the update after 25 days of planting seeds. The seeds we planted in the first batch now have real leaves. The seeds we planted in the second and third batch also started to grow. Guys, we will meet again for the first harvest. The cilantro plant begins to give a very good harvest after 40 days. Here is the result after 45 days of sowing. You can see that the plant is growing very well and the roots are also growing very well. Guys, at this point you might have a question in your mind. Yes cilantro grown hydroponically does not need any fertilizer to grow.

Guys, let me tell you that fertilizer is required. For this, you will need any liquid fertilizer or water-soluble solid fertilizer. There are many hydroponic fertilizer options on the market. The link of all those fertilizers I use is in the video description, check them. Here I am using a water-soluble solid fertilizer with an NPK ratio of 30:10:10. Micronutrients have been added to this fertilizer, so I don't need to mix anything else. Guys, change the water every 15 days interval and add 1/4 teaspoon of this fertilizer. And guys, don't keep this fertilizer in the organic or inorganic category. As these are mineral-based fertilizers, they will release only those nutrients that plants use to absorb to grow.

could not grow in water. Firstly, in case the water next to you has high TDS (more than 400). High TDS hinders the germination of coriander seeds and plant growth. Secondly, if your water has a high concentration of salt and belongs to the hard water category. Furthermore, cilantro could not grow in water. If you still want to grow in water, use RO water.
