Galaxy S20 Ultra vs iPhone 11 Pro Max Camera Test Comparison

Feb 23, 2020
What's up guys, all Apple Pro here and today we're doing a

camera

test

with the new Samsung Galaxy S 20 Ultra and my modified iPhone 11 Pro, you'll see that machined square case, don't confuse that with the iPhone 12 Pro. I'm not from the future , but today I just wanted to see the majestic Samsung Galaxy S 20

ultra

and its huge, glorious

camera

dish, it's amazing, I don't care what it looks like, I want it to work and in this video we're going to try out the biggest and best camera sensor on the market right now 108 megapixels. We'll be doing a variety of

test

s, so most of this video will be shot in 4k 60 front and back if I'm filming and anything else I'll mention.

It's in the video and we're going to do our best to stabilize quality zoom in low light. I even want to try 8k, but I'll cut it out. The video won't be 8k, but I will crop some scenes just to show you the increase in quality. I am very very impressed with first impressions, the dynamic range is fantastic, the quality is good and the

ultra

wide angle camera is amazing. I love it, so Samsung did very well with this release. Let's put it to the test with the iPhone 11 Pro Max and yes. the Galaxy S 20 ultra doesn't really compete with the 11 Pro max, it already surpassed it in numbers, let's see if the iPhone can keep up anyway, these are my friends, help me with some of the tests, Phillip, and Start with this beautiful machine, so what I hate about the iPhone software is that I can't switch cameras and keep the same video.

More Interesting Facts About,

You have to cut the video. It is a bit disgusting. The software on Samsung's side is already much better, so here it is. My baby and her look so beautiful on this sunny day. What I love about the

galaxy

s xx ultra is that you get a full screen view. Everything is 0.5 on both. See what crazy view you get. It's like a window. In this world, the iPhone 1 is trimmed. I think Apple can do better here, but visually the

galaxy

looks much better, as always. Samsung looks vibrant and beautiful. The colors are a little more muted on the iPhone, but I'll wait until we get this. on the computer before making a fair judgment on ultra wide let's walk let's see the stabilization now this baby was fixed by the backyard kids Tim I'll leave a link below I just want to say thank you man you've done me great justice she is beautiful now as far as shooting at the same angle they are both pretty close here they look very very good it's a beautiful sunny day so testing stabilization in 4k at 60 and it's on a laptop so It may vary a little compared to holding the phones, but I'm pretty impressed with both.

This is a place where smartphones have become very good in recent years so next let's do some general quality testing done in my hometown and it says they are recording in 4k 60 frames per second so using the standard wide angle lens I would say stabilization is solid on both. I didn't see anything wrong with either one, very smooth. You know, there's really no complaints here, so panning shots, everything checked. In fact, I prefer 4k 16 for most people. I will shoot in 4k 30, but the panoramic shots are much smoother and the quality we get on smartphones today is absolutely stunning, just top notch.

No complaints here. The only difference I can personally see in a very well lit environment is the colors. so the colors will vary, the contrast ratio, just the settings that Samsung or Apple apply to the camera will be different, some people will prefer the Samsung, some people will prefer the iPhone, but both qualities review only the details, especially if You are doing it. some cropping you want to shoot in 4k at minimum and oh boy wait until we get into the case here in just a second but overall it looks fantastic, very detailed, the colors of some objects will contrast a little more on the iPhone, sometimes the green colors can contrast more on the Samsung but it solved it and the stabilization was good so no complaints it's fine and the zoom test so this is where the galaxy s 20 ultra excels with its new space zoom that can zoom up to 100 times with the assistance of digital zoom is it all marketing or is it true so this is a standard view and then it zooms in about 30 times which is still respectable but you can make out the details.
In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that the galaxy s 20 ultra did it. Well, here now we start with the standard point 5, then the standard, then 2 times, 4 times and then we go to 10 times, 30 times and from there a hundred times, look at that, that's pretty impressive. I like being able to do that with the lens, same thing versus 0.5. times and then 1 time 2 times 4 times 10 times 30 times and a hundred times look at the text, the text actually becomes sharper and this is due to machine learning with the camera, it will actually adjust it after taking the photo, something which Apple also does but it is very interesting to know and it was this exact test that really convinced me of the capabilities of the samsung galaxy s 20 altra.
I was always a little skeptical about 8k if you were actually recording it natively, but here it is very clear that the 108 megapixels are real and make a big difference, so 8k 24 frames per second on the galaxy s 20 ultra on the iPhone 4k 60, so I'm going to zoom in a little bit here, this is two times and then we'll jump to four times. times and you can still make out the detail the bricks the clock hands the clock hours the tiles it's still very detailed here if we apply the same zoom on the iPhone just look at how pixelated it gets that's a 10x zoom and it had to be applied digitally afterwards like the iPhone only unless you record three times in 4k 60.
Wow, you can make out so much detail even when zoomed in so close and that makes subsequent editing much easier if in the future you test all your content, it will always be Well. to have higher quality video in the future when storage isn't cheaper, but yeah, I don't want to get ahead of myself here, but 8k, this sold me. I have a television also known as TV. I've never seen any content in a queue, but now I'm excited to play this on that TV, see what it looks like, maybe we'll have it on the iPhone later this year.
I would like to see it. I can only imagine how much storage it's taking up but the quality and detail once you actually get in there is pretty good also the colors on the galaxy s 20 ultra this year are fantastic. I really love what Samsung did with our color profile in the past on older galaxies, it wouldn't look as realistic here, it looks great. great on both, in fact, just when you thought smartphone cameras had reached their peak of quality, Samsung comes along and shows us that you can always improve by increasing those numbers. 108 megapixels, it's crazy, but it makes a difference, an ultra-wide video card, right? true, I must say that I am quite impressed with the Estonian truck and consider using my name, this is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
This is in the ultra wide angle lens so K notices the noise, which the iPhone does a lot of. anti-aliasing I'm sitting here editing and in this darker environment the iPhone looks better, but it's all software. Both struggle with ultra wide angle which hasn't matured enough to look good in low light environments, just a quick test outside. and I want to know so far indoors, it seems like the iPhone did better, in theory the Galaxy S 23, we do better, it has a wider aperture, let's see how it looks and both computers look great. I know below in the description which one you think looks best and switch to the selfie camera, so on the s20 ultra we have a 40 megapixel shooter with a 2.2 aperture on the 11pro max a 12 megapixel shooter with the same aperture and they are pretty close, although the color temperature on the s20 ultra for some reason is very blue washed out and the iPhone applies excessive anti-aliasing to try to correct the noise.
I would say the s20 ultra is the sharpest here. In terms of color, I find the iPhone more accurate and with low light for the rear camera. different lighting stages the s20 ultra uses the 108 megapixel shooter with a 2.2 aperture the iPhone a 12 megapixel it's fun to compare those sizes there is such a big disparity now with a 2.2 aperture the big difference here is the pixel sizes in the galaxy because there are more of them, they are smaller and you get an 8 micrometer long pixel compared to the iPhones at a point for larger pixels, which means the sensor captures more light, although Samsung makes up for it with this thing called pixel bidding, where it combines in 9 pixels into one.
I must say they both look great, there is a difference here in color temperature but as far as detail goes the s20 ultra is picking up more detail in the same environment so as far as low light goes, I have to give it to the s20 ultra. They are just more advanced than Apple and I personally prefer the galaxy s 20 ultra in low light situations, both the selfie and rear camera isn't as big a difference as you might think but the quality is certainly leaning. in favor of the galaxy s 20 ultra, there are guys, a few days of testing with the s 20 ultra versus the iPhone 11 Pro max, let me know your opinion below on which one you would prefer and which one you found better in which scene personally.
I think they're both great, the iPhone 11 pro is the best iPhone camera ever, it'll keep getting better, but the s20 ultra has that edge right now. Thank you so much for watching guys, stay tuned for more s20 videos, peace.
