Galaxy Buds+ Microphone & Sound Quality Comparison!

Feb 27, 2020
Hey guys, I'm a big fan of Samsung's Galaxy Buds. I've been using them since they came out about a year ago, but there were a few things that were limitations with the original Galaxy Buds and the new Galaxy.

buds

plus Samsung has said that they addressed those issues, now we actually did a

comparison

between these two, we covered every little detail in that video, so before you watch this video where we will actually test their claims and put them to the test. Go ahead and wait a second, watch that video. I'll wait for you and then you can come back and we'll continue.

Okay guys, now let's get into it. I want to skip those details and focus on what they really are. fixed and changed and as you guys could see I have the Galaxy Buzz, plus here they have a new case that is shiny and I have a new pair of original Galaxy busts to make sure this test is the fear, the first thing I want to do. The proof is the

sound

quality

, so previously it was pretty good, but not great, and with the new Galaxy Buds, in addition, they now have dual drivers where many other headphones do not and that should improve it now.

More Interesting Facts About,

galaxy buds microphone sound quality comparison...

I'm looking for better

sound

quality

, especially in the treble and also maybe better volume because your Galaxy Buds are a bit quiet, so let's go ahead and try it. Let's start with the original Galaxy Buds. Not bad so far. Good bass is missing in the volume. Sure, and the clarity in the treble as I remember it almost now, the reason why you should sound better and hopefully also be louder is because they have dual drivers instead of one, should give you a very interesting advantage, very interesting, definitely more serious, but that's not what I really wanted.

I didn't want more bass. The bass was really good. I wanted more volume with clear highs. Well, to be honest, they actually sound quite similar, but since the note allows you to do dual audio, I'll send it to both. I'm going to put one in each ear and try to listen that way. Okay, that helped. An interesting little agency made me think that the chip here is better. I guess we'll have to try it now. I definitely can. Note the difference, so the sink here sounds much more like a real subwoofer. If you have a dedicated unit, it sounds boomier, it sounds deeper, richer, even that's a little too heavy.

I think you can lower it in the EQ, while this one sounds louder. a cell phone where you hear something, what does it feel like a bass? Okay, this is getting interesting, so I listened to a few more songs from different genres and looked at the equalizer and noticed something: the original Galaxy headphones have five different equalizer settings. the

galaxy

wearables app and it defaults to dynamic and in my review I mentioned that the default sounded better to me now, the new

galaxy

buds

also add another mode called normal, so there are six presets and the default setting is no longer dynamic, it is configured. to normal and when I compare them at first they sounded pretty similar, there's not a big difference, but when you switch to dynamic mode these things come to life, not only do they get louder but they also definitely sound better and in the EDM song. and then I listened to a hip-hop song, there are noticeable differences when you go back and forth, you can definitely tell, but when I switch to a metal rock song, wow, they sound so much better, you have a good foundation from the bass of that. driver you have much more clarity with the drums, hi-hats, electric guitars and vocals.
I mean, there's a world of difference, especially in Iraqi music, we have all these different sounds and instruments between them, that's if you switch to dynamic mode. and I was wondering why in the world they don't do it by default, why would they add a normal mode and Vadim made a great point, what if they had to do that to increase battery life? That's why it defaults to normal mode, because the battery of these new Galaxy headphones is also about 50% larger inside the bud itself, but its battery life rating is about 85% better and as in normal mode They don't press as much, it's quieter. doesn't sound as good, that's going to make a difference in the life of the pattern, so if you're buying some Galaxy headphones and you also go into your settings, the first thing you do is change it to that dynamic mode, that's when these things start to appear .
Live, okay guys, now it's time to compare the latency. I noticed a little difference when I had them both plugged in, but let's go ahead and I'll put this here. I don't know if you can. to listen, but I'm a switch, you definitely notice a delay if you can hear it and now with the galaxy buds plus it seems a little faster Jess, I didn't notice when I had them both paired. and then I tested both side by side many times and we are seeing a difference of between 100 milliseconds and maybe around 150 milliseconds between using them, so it's not a huge difference, but yes, the latency has improved now if you are listening to music, you're watching? youtube video that doesn't matter because they will wait for the video to sync but if you're in a game you don't have that convenience and it's not like that when you notice the difference now the last complaint most people had.
It was the quality of the

microphone

with the original Galaxy buds where they sounded very bad, like you were underwater. Samsung has tried to fix this by adding another

microphone

to the Galaxy buds plus, so now we have an extra one on the outside and let's put their claims to the test and see how they compare. I'm going to go ahead and match them up. I'll call Vadim and we're actually recording the audio that he receives from his phone during a phone call because that's different than just recording. to a Notes app on your phone this is a microphone quality test during a phone call using the original Galaxy headphones this is a microphone quality test during a phone call using the new Galaxy headphones also you guys go ahead and tell me which one These sounded better.
I doubt the Galaxy earbuds sound better, but how much better does the hum and sound sound? Sampson does a good enough job, of course it won't sound as good as our $500 shotgun mic hooked up to a professional recorder, but I hope it's a nice improvement. Be sure to comment below what my thoughts are overall, especially on the sound quality. Well, at first I was a little disappointed, but when we switched to that dynamic mode, it made a tonal difference, a world of difference, and they definitely sound a lot better. So if you have the original Galaxy Buds and you're not happy with the sound or even maybe just the volume coming out of them, there's a big improvement with the hum and Samsung did a fantastic job of course, the battery life is older.
Also, in that dynamic mode you may not get all of those 11 hours, but the battery is 50% larger, so that will definitely be an improvement and I think that's very important. You say that in two years, when the batteries start, you don't know. That it lasts this long having extra capacity will definitely help. Now there are a few other differences between these two which I cover in my full

comparison

which has all the details listed so be sure to check it out, but overall I would absolutely spend the extra money. on the Galaxy Buds, plus, you know, the MSRP is only 20 bucks more, but on Amazon you can get them for like a hundred bucks right now and we'll have links below, but I would gladly pay the extra $50 to get these new now.
You can't actually buy them refurbished for about 17 which we'll also link below and at that point it's a tougher choice if you're really on a budget these are still a good option but I'd say go for it if you can. look for the extra money, that extra money. I would definitely go for the headphones and also now if you want to see our comparison with the airpods and the earpods Pro, you could do that right there if you want to see more videos. like this, click the subscribe button and enable notifications below, this has been maximum.
