s going on y'all? I just picked up my model 3 from the new hardware 3

upgrade

and am having a problem setting up the autopilot, now you can. Don't do this while

driving

, but even while parked I can't change this to no, so I need my confirmation for my lane changes. I hope that goes away. I've tried resetting the scroll wheels and stuff and it doesn't. I don't know it's a little weird but I think I can look up some of the differences I'm noticing between hardware 2.5 and hardware 3.

The only complaint I've heard from people is that backup camera looks worse omg

the heck. ruined just kidding it's covered in dirt I should have cleaned it up but from this I'm kinda used to this view to be honest it looks the same to me they said the frame rate was bad but I didn't I know if it looks good, I'll clean it up and we'll check it out in a bit. Not park one more time and see if I can turn off my confirmations but as far as spotting the traffic lights and stop signs and stuff it's been really exciting it's working very very well so far it picks up almost all the fire hydrants like a cone approaching the stop sign here you'll see the RTA is sensing the trash can already sensing the stop sign and then these flashing lights take me a second but now it's flashing on the screen but you can see I detected it , yes, it's like blinking on and off.

Another thing I noticed that has improved a lot is that cars in the adjacent lane here in Hardware 2.5 would be detected. I don't know most of the time maybe 70% of the time and they would blink in and out and there would be a lot of cars that would just pass by and never be detected but now with the

it's detecting those cars in the opposite lane I eat perfectly and very smoothly so I haven't heard anyone talk about it I don't know if everyone is like oh no we already knew that but that was a surprise to me I didn't think that would change so I just i'll pull over to the side and put the car parked here real quick and show you if we go into autopilot customization yeah i can't turn them off so that's a little annoying i should have checked with them before i left but i thought That would clear it

up, so we'll see. like i said i tried a scroll wheel reset and that didn't seem to fix anything ok so first experience autopilot on the road so this is all about confirming yeah i have to confirm it's very annoying but it's okay we can do it okay he'll go over whatever's good enough for me.

I'm interested if he'll drift out of the passing lane after we pass this truck, although that's been my number one complaint. I will say that all my settings were still here. My driver profiles are still there, so nothing changed. Before all my previous saves were there, my phone was still connected. I heard some people lost everything, all my browsing, my homework, everything was still there, so I didn't have to deal with anything getting deleted. lane all fixed oh my gosh I'm so excited instantly and it was before that bug was introduced so hardware two point five still has that bug and hardware three doesn't so I'm excited for that update I hope they fix it. although there are a lot of people on 2.5 hardware that have improved autopilot you know they don't have

and be left with that bug and then just to show you one more time confirm lane change out of passing lane I've seen it a few times and in the Thanksgiving update it was Thanksgiving.

I walked out and noticed within minutes that wasn't happening and now it happened so since Thanksgiving it happened twice which is ev it's weirder that it could possibly happen it just never happens and now on this journey I don't know I've been on the highway, say 15 miles or so, I really don't know, I've seen that message like five or six times, you know, whereas in the last three months I've seen it twice, so it was definitely broken. I know there were a lot of arguments, but I think this puts it to rest. The 2.5 hardware will not go unnoticed. lane and hardware 3 that's cool another improvement I'm noticing let's see if we see it with this demi the move feature yeah I feel like move is much more confident and assertive and then we get past the demi and boom moves to back I mean you can even see the wheel you know it's hard to be sure of any of these things because maybe it's like right now the conditions are really nice and the roads are really nice for it to happen but I'm definitely sorry for sure the move feature on new hardware is better though h with 2.5 hardware most of the time it would work great but you would also have a lot of these times where you would do nothing or would like to move but then don't and doing these weird things and I couldn't even tell I was doing it now with this update.

I found that it is so obvious that it is happening and that it is moving backwards. Another thing I don't see at all is ping-pong on the lanes. now to be fair I didn't really realize this before there were a few times it would happen that it would bend or whatever but it wasn't even every time it was definitely not repeatable or reliable it's very rare that my car did it. kind of doing this and i haven't noticed it at all it's still ok so we're coming off the freeway here and we can start to see some of the new visualizations i want to go over here that has the car you have to enable these in the settings at autopilot if you look here for autonomous driving visualizations and you can see The traffic lights right there all three are shown we also have the arrow that's on the ground I mean things are really cool.

I've been looking at these types of love, so the car runs over the arrow and the arrow is still there. so the car remembers Tesla remembers this arrow is here and keeps the graphic there even though cars get in its way and I've noticed sometimes it sees stop signs like before. I like the stop sign on to the right there will be a car in my way so I can't see the stop sign but it's on the screen and now you can see this is green I think we can oh yeah let's zoom in here , so yeah this is green and those two are red so it shows another all green and that change was pretty instantaneous.

I was more looking at the screen, but I saw on the screen that it changed, there's the other arrow and then I looked up and saw that it was actually green. ahead of me so it's actually helping me steer at least while I'm looking at the screen you can see there for a second yeah it's getting the arrows on the other side pointing the other way that's really nice and I see those green lights there oh and he sees yellow very cool wow that's cool so he seems to be seeing those things quickly and he sees all these here is oh he's trying to wow ok so try to decide to show them like cones or at least I know sticks Bullards I think some people call them I don't even know what to call them but if we come back here look at that you can see he's still looking at the ones behind us this is our car here and those they still show up there and I don't know if that's in memory. or you still see those with the side camera which is the side repeater pointing back in that direction but very very cool ok I just hooked it up to the supercharger and now you can see everything is available again so I guess i had to do some driving i had no messages no indication it had come back or it was calibrating or whatever was happening it just worked that way ok so i wasn't expecting this but i see the visualizations of the cars around me are so much better now before I'll tell you what I'm seeing.

I'm not saying hardware 2.5 never did any of this. I'm saying the hardware 3 is doing a lot better so you can see. I mean look he sees this car here and there. to my left that car is way back let me pull over i mean you can't even see the second car my car is seeing back there and it's tracking way back and Hardware 2.5 would do that sometimes but I'm not reliably where they would stay constantly there you can see jacent lane speed in action here it's tracking everyone to my left so I don't go too fast and I even see I passed a car that was on the shoulder here it popped up on the screen and I stayed there when i passed now i've seen in harvard 2.5 where a car was stopped it will kind of flash on the screen for maybe a second but most of the time it won't show it all this time it tracked it when the car hit it it happened so it was here and it tracked it all the way as I passed it and was really blown away if I hope I can find another example to record it but again I want to say you can see you can only v See this guy directly behind me and this guy right here he's the second car and the car sometimes sees another car behind that one so looking further down some of the side streets you can see up here that there are two stop signs, one on each side and even from back here the car detected both, it's really impressive that you've been seeing them. you already know that for a minute and it's great because you know you don't see stop signs on both sides very often so the car is obviously using the cameras to see well there are stop signs here it's not default to map data and Wow look at that it's even picking up this third stop sign there as w We get closer yeah it's going in and out intermittently not sure what to think about it so on this road hopefully we'll see some cars coming in the opposite direction and you can see on the screen where they are getting cones from the reflective barriers. and there it picks up that car from a pretty good distance and it drives past me I've been noticing lately in Hardware 2.5 that it wasn't actually lifting you know this oncoming traffic look there it is again very well I would pick them up last second or sometimes , they would blink or sometimes you would ignore them completely now you are seeing the cars very well, very accurately and very smooth. similar to Hardware 2.5 it's the car behind you, at least for me, it never detects that well and my camera is very clean.

I cleaned it before this follow up. I see the other cross. I clear my camera before this one behind us flashes and disappears behind me and I almost feel like it's so far away I almost feel like it's detecting the car behind the truck but yeah that hasn't changed it was the same as hardware 2.5 to me even the dirt road stop sign is there he's trying to make a line that's so funny yeah no line here no line for you keep moving who i wonder see those things here we go to look at no its not interesting and then of course we have the infamous trash cans the trash can tracking works pretty well the only thing I find that sometimes goes wrong is it counts as mailboxes being trash cans , yeah it's doing it from left to right on this path and you know no big deal not sure why they even included that it looks so random you know in the things like they could have included this pass with the billboard beware, but they don't have that, but they have trash cans and i feel like it's you i can see he's just picking them up all over the place where i feel like it's almost oh that's a deer we have to slow down for that i feel like it's almost like a weird kind of flex, they're like look what we can do, are you okay, okay, oh, that sucks?

That's one of the bad parts about living here, there's deer fucking everywhere, but oh yeah, there's another trash can in the cones, so anyway, that's hardware three.
