FULL MATCH | Chelsea 7-1 Aston Villa | OTD Premier League ReplayMar 29, 2022
nicholas anelka the center forward today not a goal in 10 but he loves it when he's the main man that's when he scores his goals today he's back i wouldn't bet against him getting one and we're off terry and alex passing each other and they'll be the center half combination for most, if not all, of the remainder of this season. nine defenders out once this season you might remember um ball forward to andelco gets cut by collins that's deco on the edge of the box milner helping out and there warning makes you think ben when you were talking about the central defensive association it's not so long ago At one time we had a lot of central defenders, you know, five or six and people were talking about everyone being able to play.
Now we're looking at ok, possibly the basic bones if that's one way of looking at things as a little misunderstanding. standing between pedicek and alex from uh there's a video he can shake hands but he doesn't need little mistakes like that a bit of pressure especially with
villabeing a fixture lost masters at
villapark earlier in the season both targets since the corners and both corners of the goals from that side as well as from petra here's Ashley Young in the mix and that's easy for Check Guru didn't even jump and that was much easier to handle with Joe Colt.
See him back in the lineup. What a beautiful Deco idea. It almost worked. Maluda was the man who almost made that pass. Today is a big game for Joe Cole. Ben, you know he's back in the lineup. off because nicholas and elk were having a chance but joe has been quoted as saying he needs a series of games and he is certainly running out of time here at stamford bridge i hope he has a good one today as uh john odie mckill plays a bad pass he opens wide and gets away with it because Ashley Young couldn't control it, but it absolutely has come to something that we're almost a bit surprised to see Joe Cole in the starting lineup, nothing to do with his abilities, but because he doesn't I have especially liked him showing up lately well a lot of fans I'm sure you'll share my sentiments hoping Joe has a game series and produces something in the wonderful way we know he's capable of between now and the final. of the season there are a lot of england wannabes on this pitch they just have great english flavor there a lot of people on the fringes of the squad taking down and young and milner will almost certainly go there stephen warnock is another it could be you have been a new left back this season anyway fit in well those new signings kept a lot of clean sheets this season despite trading most of his
fullback that's a lovely touch on the side anelka maluda at half first save of the game to brad fri edel first shot for nicodelka yes very good what you said before about nicolas you know how to play as the main focal point of attack wonderful pass from deco there is a lot of skill beforehand and nicholas and elka getting the first shot on goal is always good for a striker you know to get a shot on goal early in the Burnley game was his last goal.
He hasn't played center forward since, although he has to be prepared, so he wants to get back involved. He scored home and away against Villa. last season to milner pounding form and now the first wall as of now left of those idiot town fans don't let it go they've brought in a fair contingent estimator supporters to our left are relatively vocal as you tend to find most the away fans these days must be the atmospheric ones to our left and we have another pressure in the corner he says he is happy under it and managed evan ac milan here comes the corner and again it is easy for control and martin o' neill carl a, the opposite of lottie today won't be too thrilled with the quality of those two callers given how good villa is from set play this is bad away from collins what shape is Foreign now paolo pereira the right back and joe cole deco in front of him pereira doing run two and that's where the ball goes herrera only had deco and lampard to choose from in the area then echo playing center forward is not exactly e didier drogba's height in the middle to a dunk is no it certainly isn't but uh you have to put bodies in the box and you know you don't necessarily have to be a great center forward to score a
chelseaheader shoot many reasons to expect entertainment kerry mentioned the
fullfour that boxing date crazy
matchhere three reds cards and eight goals
chelseablate has been entertaining here four and a half goals per game on average for the last ten most of them for the home side this is ferreira Now a moose is in the middle.
Ferreira has won a corner instead of t. I'll do it well. Deco has played two wonderful passes. earning a corner so let's hope it's a sign of things to come certainly from deco touch lets him down with another couple of assists and a portsmouth goal for pulling a joke midway through of the week of course all eyes on the major
leagueben this game villa chelsea turned two weeks its a dress rehearsal for the fa cup semi final -finally i tried to share but instead its a corner its in fact a first try for two weeks a bit strange there's also tottenham versus portsmouth today which will be the other one this time it's collins and he got the touch he was past carew and past the far post collins of course he scored one of Those two goals from the callers in the reverse game this season yes and I'm sure Carlo Ancelotti and his team will be fully aware of their threat from set pieces Colin's being picked up by Alex and Uh in the former Chelsea corner in the other end was uh backwards so obviously the two managers have looked at the two players that are potential threats and decided that possibly the best two headers from each side would be to mark each other, not h oh disrespect to john terry, carew and co. that's right, terry and dunn are quite a physical couple too, isn't it true that richard dunn got the other one in that game? actually it was a central half of two with headed goals for familiar on the day didier dope to score chelsea it's a weird mistake by horrible brad friedl he let it bounce it's around that period in the season when chelsea were really packed of set play leaks absolutely went on to stoke and bramble for wigan there was also a lot at the time and chelsea worked hard on it went away a bit came back a bit and is gone again at this point i hope it stays that way thats terry over the top of ashley young milner forward karoo bong straight to the way the flag was raised against anelka must have been tight i think its the right call linesman over assistant umpire as they say in the modern game on the side far up flags i think we will probably see a
replayand play the ball nicholas was very tight he looked a meter away once we looked at him but right ben was very apr When the ball was played, you kind of get something that's not one of those, right? off ronald went one way thunder gone other youngster's cross is often dangerous not this time and several comfortable catches for petacheck so far i thought about the kick but instead took it to yuri imbecile, you have a very important role to play, let's play the poor. ball there for the remainder of this season ashley cole possibly back for the last two games he has said he of all of them has progressed the best ashley cole of all those walking wounded if anyone is ahead of schedule it's hello It would be a huge plus if He achieves it.
I thought he was playing fantastic. He's having a great season until he got hurt. More ankle problems this week. This time for Ricardo Carvalho. chelsea bench went down for a while but he doesn't do it often how much he will be missed by chelsea we'll just know that full time 36 games played for chelsea this season 30 absolutely amazing goals well when you're in that kind of total and you know that I've been there and it's just a case of I mean, did you drag me down thinking about 33 my best season? he will want to play every game with slightly nagging injuries he is on call for his best season in professional football you want to play and you want to score hell was far from warnock but not from sidwell there have been i think five corners so far certainly villarreal i have been around it doesn't look like too robust a game seems more mundane a bit of a midfield battle you know I think just that Brad Friedl's one save from a wide shot from Nicholas and Alchemy There hasn't been a kick There hasn't been a 50 50 This There hasn't been a confrontation.
It's like the players are waiting to see what's going to happen instead of watching. to make something happen ok we would like to not be able to get close to james milner there though that's it for peru john terry remove the brush this is almost right on the edge of your box there is a focus a little more cautious with steve sidwell in today by martin o'neill by stuart downing who has been the regular alex who i'm starting to play pretty well with anyway when cavalia was absent with a minor hamstring injury in the last few weeks there was no problem having him by his side every week carla ferreira in the same way, jericho is now doing a little regular run of course and what a joke but they haven't really gone anywhere they have made about seven or eight passes and a tackle almost on goal will be progressive with your passion for me john terry with all those faulty absences marking chelsea's only major
leaguepresent this season the captain even frank lamport missed one doesn't happen very often in what shape is in deco lovely twist away from petrov and peter walton referee lampard shoots and cradle couldn't be sure he was on target not sure he was but i needed to save he already had to make the save and you know that frank likes to score from distance i said earlier about nicholas and elka taking a shot on goal, you know it's great to pass, frank wants to see something at the end and if he gets a chance to shoot he doesn't often disappoint. he said Friedel can't take any chances.
The reason this game is quite crowded in the midfield areas is that aubergine hall is not playing second striker along with kuru martin o'neill has put five in midfield with that. gone to lahore down on the right hand side probably trying to count chelsea's three man midfield through center i have to say at the moment leaving the team is up lampard on the spot this time manelka touch had to get him away from goal this is wicked why not hit it that could go anywhere and it's on franklin's part at the far post it's the scoffers goal a chelsea lead this huge game the hardest home game left this campaign in one day so important with arsenal and manchester united playing like well its a perfect start well i was just going to say about the players playing well florent maluda for me certainly over the last month he has been outstanding for chelsea it was his cross shot which caused the villa defenders to slide towards the chelsea attackers sliding inside and in the end, it was Frank Lampard who ran into the box at the far post with the de sliding, he just got a foot off his right foot and deflected the ball into the unprotected goal because Brad Frieda was on the NE. ar post area just what chelsea wanted well certainly villa tactics will change now chelsea ahead one nil scores lots of spectacular goals frank lampard but has had a couple of tap-ins this week here is zach bonhall with the cross terry lo clears because he nodded from all two meters against pompey in midweek now slipped foreign there only all 18 goals for this season for frank lamport who some people still seem to suggest is not a good season well if that's not a good season.
You know, I thought Frank was playing wonderfully when the team went down, he might have gone down a little bit along with the team, but he certainly didn't have a good season. I think Frank for me has been one of our best players. 18 goals not always. Tell a story when the cross enters. Richard was upstairs and it didn't really clear up until then, when Terry did it a second time, but then stuck his head in there first. I mean a lot of the Chelsea players were looking at the referee. e peter walton thinking donna climbed but uh peter wont give her that free kick still he lifted the bodies and made that flick there kuru keeps it actually made a wonderful pass to joe cole and both villa on the counter this is chelsea in the counter?
The options he came up with couldn't pick an elector in the middle or didn't get in the way pretty hard on that far side trying to pick a moose. There are not many Chelsea players in support. Maluda was arriving there and I have counted five villa players back good pass from john carroll do you mind that you put chelsea to attack very generous of his maluda part during the week here comes the cornerback terry the target and it is a villa head and luke young bothjumping for the same ball and dangerous practice actually took two from terry lampard again goal and alex collins got his head from alex those two will see each other a lot today on every set play clearly mikel talks assists at fratton park that's unfortunate decent start with the goal is quite around the bridge maluda comes forward and does well to keep control of the ball and wins it back from the masturbation and is on the side how do you clear the cross with a warmer clap a around us in the far east? through the efforts of florence maluda how good it's been recently it's been great for me it's been uh good didier drogba would be the only one who would probably say inconsistency in terms of what he's done on the light side certainly in the last month florida for me has been our best player good pass from deca to cult herrera forward banderas against frank lampard who is now only a couple of wrists away from third place in the old days chelsea charts messes osgood and bentley and just trying to think he is in second place a little nervous kerry dixon it could be that this is a midfielder it certainly is for me i mean it's absolutely wonderful what frank has done in terms of a midfielder getting that many goals when you think about what a great goal he marks the middle john's outfielders walk this world and he scored many, many goals for the midfield frank's achievements have been outstanding paulo ferreira ag class radable and elka could use some help here comes galloping with that von hall lamp i have touch there first and most of all away with the ball alex martin o'neill hasn't changed his tactics from what he started considering chelsea continues long enough i think we will see a change certainly as the game progresses but right now he is pretty happy with what his village team is doing the fans are not happy with peter walton they thought colin had hooked to nelka when he passed that ball, but yeah, it will be interesting to see if he comes back down the hall to join in as this game progresses.
There's a lot of time left. i guess it's only been 20 minutes it's deco first to shoot haven't held on to leeds that well this season kerry since they dropped some points at blackburn last week having led from the start everton comes to mind actually dropped 16 p points this season from winning positions and there's only one team in the league that could have lost more momentum over the odd but against manchester city in both games since they took the lead and lost a couple of them uh a little too late for the fans chelsea's peter walton hasn didn't give chelsea potential free kicks which the fans feel he could have taken and with chelsea in possession he decides to explode with stephen walnut on that far side here we see a clash of heads with joe cole i think it was the call correct i You never know how serious these things look, but I don't worry too much because it looks like he's going to go straight back to Chelsea, win the ball back and ado Where we go after a couple of minutes.
Alex makes his debut against Aston Villa. Alex in another bad. -The fated
matchat Villa Park, one of the last for José Mourinho, that famous photo of a certain Mr. Abramovich going up the stairs and past Doug Ellis, is very well approached by Terry, now Mikel trying to get something. ng goes here cold forced back deco john mckenna will make a run forward there ray wilkins will not like that he will be on his case and it is one time he will see a free kick steve sidwell is the second tackle he has had there probably in last minute first on the floor in maluda's solid challenge and well that was ruled a free kick by referee peter walton you'll want to impress steve sidler after his stint at chelsea i'm sure he'll want to show the Hierarchy was wrong to let him go I wasn't very impressed really didn't get a chance to be fair to him cole jumping and colliding with warlock again it's another bit of a free kick nicole disagrees and takes down again second hit in a matter of good i'd like to look at that again i think uh joe cole has the right to go for the ball and sure enough his eyes were on the ball i don't see anything wrong with that it's just he jumped higher and warnock didn't because of that knocked him down two jug orers going for the same thing the ball bumped into each other certainly wasn't a miss, well I think Peter was wrong about that, though a limping Stephen Walnut might disagree.
They come from Moon. Find Lampard. i need them lampard well it's always going to be a 50-50 that will play well sid says peter walton and sidwell and lapod get together and that part again hit that one for an elka and certainly the ref isn't endearing himself to them chelsea fans you guys I can hear the booing all over the stadium to me. That is a definite fault. Sidwell holds Frank Lanpod back. There you see arms around him. fans that's for sure it's a weird non-decision there he was right next to them he had his arms around his neck anyway he got the ball right back let's put the pass to an elka that's a guru pet drop lahore somewhere arms outstretched more bounces off miguel because he made that decision and mikel got caught playing with a good decision that time peter walton bad and still bad this is lamppod on left boot this time colin is in the way joe cole picks up the pieces ferreira wants it paolo ferrero with the ball inside and it was dangerous and then elka was there but somehow he couldn't get the crucial touch could he ok james milner stood up chelsea fans doing like brad friedel clears the ball in the field martin o'neill on the edge of his technical area i think he's going to get a card here i think steven petrov will get the card for his challenge on john obi mckill like uh they advanced there is it's gasoline for his challenge on mikkel the referee peter walton played the advantage with chelsea in attack i have to want to see this and he got caught there was an arm i dont think it was a deliberate elbow i think huh juan iv mikel stayed tight me but usually got caught up in chelsea elbows in the news quite a bit this week luda and sturridge both said for the fa anyone who was involved in one of them got a lot of things wrong this month but he messed up terribly and finna got the ball here is milner in kuru is capable of converting maybe he didn't know it disappeared from his back luke young caviar to potentially deal with sid good good ball really young at the end there goes warner is ashley young always dangerous and dangerous ball inside and equalizer for
astonvilla chelsea looking for a flag that hasn't arrived and jonkeroo has another nine and eight for him level filler well it's a similar type of goal to what chelsea just scored chelsea the other end is coming a cross shot a shot driven in from the other side driven cross was from ashley young jerkoff should be on the swing he looked at john for a bit didn't bother to tag him kuru wasn't tagged at that fa In the l To the right, the ball went over the Chelsea defenders.
There's Kuru playing at the other end. Frank Lamphard has a similar goal for Chelsea. John Carroll is now level for Aston Villa and the hordes of Aston Villa fans to our left have a good voice once. again and here goes deco ok now it was a push he certainly lost his balance either through his own fault or a late challenge but the ball at the end found no one an almost instant response from Chelsea could still be a lively party now. with half an hour gone and elka trying to convert the chelsea ball well whatever we said about the first 10 minutes or so chelsea have a goal the game has certainly come alive here now the ref has helped to add to that i gotta gave some weird decisions a good bradfield punch there i think im thinking about going to the far post one more time so friedel is a good goalie thinking of coming in for a clean punch just wondering kerry if you think that jer koff obviously didn't want to touch the incoming ball he probably would have ended up putting it on his own neck do you think he knew kuru was over his right shoulder so well i have a saying that um yeah he did if you look at the buildup he actually looked at him and talked about punting he should have moved his right foot for me to punt he had to get his body there I've never seen a space score a goal he had to man man you know three or four yards of him and john kuru touching uh the truth is in the pudding you have to put your body between the man and the ball and uh i thought i was going down for a yuri mistake how costly is that going to be?
There may still be an hour left in this game and from what we've seen that will mean a lot more attacks probably from both sides certainly from Chelsea Maluda another one of those balls in and again causes trouble when in doubt hit it strong and low towards the far posted something could happen and it almost happened again at chelsea here, well once again frank maluna causes trouble drilling the ball through the goal. what not to do now falls for the midfielders gecko again nelka again deco again i have to say unlucky just looking for the cheeky reverse pass running back flora maluda just a little too much deco weight we've seen a wonderful pass or two from him already in this game without a flag against maluda the last touch was a villa one made fridle keep it in no he didn't another clc corner good interception there yuri jerkoff placed himself in front of maluga on the left and once again it seems to me that the main source of attack is on this near side with the foreign near post man from the six yard box but actually the closest blue shirt was michael obias sidwell hammers it's clear herrera will get it on the kick i have to say collins and dun and k The corners Chelsea are pretty good.
They have their heads on. I think virtually all collins balls again. They are challenging four blue jerseys in the middle. his balance was allowed to cause the challenge mascot to land there. They have been rushed by the fact that they are unbeaten in the 2010 calendar year in the
premierleague. Of course they lost the colin cup final but most of those unbeaten games have ties hurt their chances about a month ago the best position for fourth place they are still going to believe they are heavily involved in that battle for fourth place they are certainly right we are still going to beat them on pole position by the time chelsea we can smash those spurs dreams, maybe beat them in lane on april 17th and then do it in the cup final in mid may , two weeks from now manchester united away of course for chelsea next weekend but as kerry ning said at the beginning it's all great looking at that and it's kind of a six point but it's no good if they're not three points here you'd go that far kerry if chelsea don't win this game it seems more or less like no chance. for the league or not so fast I wouldn't say there's no chance of course you could never say you know anything could happen you know you look at the pictures and you don't see Manchester United and indeed Arsenal losing too many points um you know in a 1v1 you would like chelsea and almost all of their games too we are a strong team but it's about the game of the day and uh no i think if we lost here today we would be making it very difficult for ourselves , that's for sure but he certainly wouldn't be out of it and that will be pointed out quickly no doubt but I think it's important that we go into that Manchester United game at least a point behind him that means winning today and assuming they win a game as well. a little later in the s in the after rnoon yeah now milner sure you know yeah it was martin o'neill he knows they're just a few feet away down there no complaints from milner lottie she's a big fan of him there are vampires and moose and back to lamp ard again the target puts it back for joe cole just wouldn't sit and that was the problem he's a disinterested player wasn't it from lampard and the ball was in the air and joe couldn't hit it at that height i think the cross was right behind he couldn't get his head to turn the ball into gold forest you know you'll see him again nicholas and elka get the ball together and frank lampod coming back was right behind him i don't think he could get his body to head the ball Goldwood so he took the second option and that was joe cole so the pass to joe didn't go exactly how he would have wanted the opportunity to be missed that's what he needed a little bit of giraffe netting to get around that and hit the golden side of it the fraction game joe colt elka ran too early there you can I'd see it easy from up here but yeah that's a mile from that but uh when we watch the
replaythat won't even be close I think it's a couple of yards by the time Joe played that like at least uh yard, he's out of play. a lot that's man united the villa semi bolton here on the bridge tottenham away stoke here liverpool away and then wigan at home to finish off i'd like to think chelsea will do without bolt and stoke and wigan in all three home games after this care even so which villa is clearly the tougher opponent here we have another look at that goalsure what came out at the end but with a very similar one on the other end and that's why we're one of the weirdly similar targets actually they weren't just he hit one hard and low towards the far post and see what happens deco gonna being talked to by peter walton here and it's a yellow card milner down would love to see the challenge again for deco being booked for a rare occurrence not sure it was a brooking but not known for his tackling deco no but it is known for his fouls here, porto and barcelona, he was their most booked player season after season, but mostly because he's not very good at tackling, he's a bit heavy in that sense, I think his foot was up when he came in watching the replay from that angle and I think that was probably the reason why he was booked, which is easy to control who, strangely, even though he had to get the ball out of his own net, actually didn't have to do any. notable saves in the match apart from that a couple of really routine catches from rather sloppy corners as jerkoff drives tight for von lahorn sacked defensive minded right back joe cole charming touch almost worked for an elka thats why fans love like joe cole those little moments especially when five minutes left of the half comes out as we are i haven't scored in birmingham yet neither the ball forward looking bad there was some sort of push not really appealing g and none of the other chelsea players that's what you tend to look for well the ball played behind florence meluda doing that i'm not going to say it was a penalty scream from chelsea fans but i certainly don't agree that it was a penalty and i think peter morton did it right to be fair frank maluda took one look at the ref but not making too much of an exaggerated appeal smith good news and bad news for carlo angelotti this week relief after the wobble ended with that big win at pompey tempered rather by carvalho's injury clears three minutes on the clock plus a bit of stoppage time ben and both coaches will have something what to think about during half time chelsea for me has been the best team the most progressive side but actually i'm going to be very happy with the way things are at the moment it's been a fair amount of creativity i think would you say of people like cole and dekko maluda lampard ferreira with the ball in this ti yo surely got caught by collins yes it was a penalty for chelsea there is the penetration you want well just saying chelsea have been the best team in this First half, it's just that I have to say that I think they deserve Peter Walton's. got that spot on florent maluna with the back hill yuri zhurkov just got there before james collins was just looking once defender puts foot in minimal contact i have to say but i think its the right call brilliant maluda again i lo he is achieving week after week as his frank lampard has scored once already this would be the perfect time to get his second lampard against the three wrist hammered goal into the top corner he is not saving that relief for carlo ancelotti his team talks it's going to change a bit now two for lampard two for chelsea well goals change games and frank crushed that one in him he knew what it meant to go into halftime with the lead and he's in this crucial game where he wasn't going to make mistakes from the point I'm sure now frank lampard is going to be looking for a hat-trick i think patrick would take it to 20 goals for the season ben in fact it would be 19 20 before the end of march hammered look that's not there chance to go free though went in the right direction often doesn't go high actually frank lampod glad i did he had gone low on that side breather probably would have saved him what was he saying earlier ? on and off people frankly having a bad season before half time here 19 goals for the season and now just one behind bentley and all is well it will be absolutely fantastic to match them to the greats patrick in this particular game sets manchester united up to lovely arsenal continues to draw neil neil as we speak at birmingham united playing later just two minutes of stoppage time chelsea have a free kick on that far side and i'm sure on the pitch they would be more than happy to take this advantage in the dressing room look these two minutes there you see the penalty not the liveliest man ever on the touchlines but i've always said you don't have to be lively to be a good manager clinch fest do it clearing under pressure from joe cole say what frank has two goals but once again I have exaggerated the case, I think that florent maluda has had an important role in this performance of the first half ad involved in both goals yes not scoring that pressure been on chopper and lanpod every week to be the two producing in maluda now contributing goals and assists every week every game seems a bit relieved of that burden a bit doesn't always have than being didier frank certainly the two midweek goals were emphatically scored against Portsmouth two wonderful left-footed goals because he's now 11 on the season that's good especially considering he wasn't always the first choice at the start he's the half of what's going on now and kill what's left of peter walton, stephen warlock let him go, martin o'neil who as kerry was saying he would have been happy with that one marker i think he would have been happier with the one or the score, that's for sure, you know going into half time thinking 45 minutes and surely he took an equalizer away from stamford bridge but look at his team's overall performance and you know what e haven't really tried the pedicek when peter walton blows the halftime whistle, i think martin o'neill will have a thing or two to say and you certainly will. see a turnaround in the second half as he tries to make up for this deficit a couple of goals for frank lampard 18 and 19 for jonkeroo's first season in the middle a decent half performance late on a decent score two can the blues hold the lead this maybe that's the question at the bridge break is chelsea two aston villa won oh we're taking a look at those goals during the half time break and obviously one but well done to him for continuing the run and winning the penalty thank you you are very pleased that he has an assist for what could possibly be the game-winning goal, especially after his participation in the tie class man out pedro philippe in front of him martin o'neil no terry with a header away sidwell back in terry away again sid good again tennis head between those two warnock terrible touch he introduces it to an elker now joe colt a bit behind him but now he's got it back calmly and he's close to warnock oh and he's done brilliantly to find some terrific nelco play from joe colt good i think nicolas was looking at the assistant umpire on this near side protesting that it could have been a dud but you've got absolutely right great play by joe cole actually young tracking back hitting stephen warnock getting to the other side and now just looking to get ahead of brad friedel there you see the appeal not quite sure what it is about maybe he feels he was committed a foul It was Friedel with pace on the half-time line Joe Cole He did great to tuck that cross in this is milner luckily his first touch was strong and alex breaks it all the way not wanting to be a weatherman but he certainly turned pretty grim around here ben it could be raining it only dropped a couple of degrees i doubt it.
I'll feel it out there, despite this high pressure, high intensity, late in the campaign, so much in every game for these two clubs, it seems like any previous game you watch right now seems to be huge. one way or another whether it's harlem west ham and co at the bottom or the race for fourth or the title race of course sid sidwell slides he doesn't hit fast for youngsters but also paulo ferreira he swipe and the young are gone. Here there was a jerk and Villa waited for it and they got their decision. I think it might as well be a reprimand for Tyler to send someone back and I think he compounded his original mistake with the bathtub.
He is complaining to referee Peter Walton but it was definitely a foul and it was definitely a slip and a book and now an aston villa free kick was fouled which walton decos did not commit again. just having one of their moments from the moment of reserve to calm down as soon as they have the kick i think it's important from a chelsea perspective that they don't sit around bennett you know the third goal is something that gives him a bit of protection i i want to see him continue and try to get it instead of sitting back and watching this so i think Villa will start to press the stages of this half twice already here by Frank Lampard over the line and one flew through her jerk coming forward another bad time first time in a elka dunn got there first well alex in the back of that not sure if you made any contact there terry perry maybe he did it right peter walton five yards away he says he did it here we re g i'm going to see a replay.
Yeah, I think there's some kind of contact from Omaha because he wasn't the one who stopped. He knew that Alex would be in the back. Young again. Head over there warnock, he's not one of those defenders who score, luckily from a chelsea point of view, well he wasn't very confident when he attacked that ball. too, but nogal got close to the ball and therein lies the answer, even a good striker who would have been hard to keep. hard work turned around young but young put one foot in and the ball definitely went off yurkov i see it just his left foot good defending has become a bit of a victim of martin o'neill's established wing politics came on as a left-handed bachelor in Lyrics ck last season playing ahead of nicki shorey hasn't really been able to get over carlos cuellar this season even though today he's on a more orthodox right back let's see how to move him jerk off and then maluda collins catches him yeah he does he did he's just sharp at the moment for maluda he's getting to things a little quicker than he used to and he's making things happen for him and chelsea well as i said before i think he's been excellent for the last six weeks a month, I don't think so. i think he's been poor all season i think he's been pretty consistent as he's played most of this season but i think he's been in pretty good shape the last six weeks exchanging passes with lampard looking for an elker looking to get around james collins is the same he doesn't dodge but he makes him make the mistake and make the finishing touch and chelsea have a corner thing is that's the kind of thing every chelsea player needs to be doing nicholas and elka they are chasing what is considered a lost cause pressing the defender and you might get some of that this time is a chelsea corner they had blue jerseys they will take another one this side now close to meeting at the end of that one and stay up because this takes throat good cross and luda jumped and got a piece of it too high for him sidwell beat alex to that little long hold in the villa third final or here, they certainly seem to go for the third goal, they are not behind, he is happy enough, he joked, but there is no need to call him, but he is careless? he knew milner was there or not but didnt understand much but control was alert enough not just a little scare hearts in mouth timing for chelsea fans just as we are going through players who have been playing one lately john terry is having a particularly good game today against uh john currano carru got the goal but terry for me has made a couple of really crucial interceptions and tackles could be questioned here again martin o'neill was always going to change the shape of his side early on half and certainly the last five minutes or so lahore is playing alongside john carrow in a more orthodox 4-4-2 for villa combining well and that's a lovely ball from gekko yuri jerkoff maluna in the middle and not he'll miss the way he's playing that was nailed on three one there's the cushion flora tune he just can't stop right now that's a dozen even goals to him this season and chelsea have a two goal lead, it was an absolutely brilliant goal, a wonderful job through midfield. intricate passes involving all three. deco midfielders joe cole and john obi mckell wonderful pass from deco releasing idiot down the left side he is more than made up for his mistake in the first half thats a hand in set i On chelseas third goal two assists from zhurkov and a brilliant shot from florent maluda and, as you already said, he's in shape, he's thinking about goals, not just his performances, there's the third goal chelsea wanted and the cushion is there. carlo ancelotti the bit rude at the far post a penalty that was a beauty what a beautiful weight to pass from deco it's a really good game just perfect he wasn't an idiot he didn't even have to break his stride he was absolutely perfect -in buteverything was right last move you know joe cole came back to help the midfield players who are playing tight passes in and around aston villa midfield to breach in order to release deco he played the perfect pass wonderful jerk off cross because it was important get up to finish the end product in the good game of focus and sure enough florence maluda provided the perfect ending here she comes again playing with real confidence at the time maluda is such a stark contrast from a year or two ago the chelsea fans were wondering with 15 million pounds for his services and they're looking at him now he's going to have to be very careful actually I don't think Peter Walton or it's him I don't think he's checking his pocket again but that came out.
I think his body went through it. I think maybe Ferreira's momentum led him to Agua Lahore. Who had slowed down. It was a foul. I feel unlucky if I had to pick up the second yellow for that particular challenge, but I shouldn't try Peterborough too many times because on the yellow he wouldn't fail to take the second one and that would mean a game for paulo for real. and the ban for man united and chelsea have reserved defenders like sam hutchinson and jeffrey broomer and patrick van aarnholt very tasty territory ashley young leaves it to milner mikel and the wall do their job there is half an hour to play they do not have a two goal advantage what did you say about defenders and chances jeffrey broome is one of the chelsea players who has been warming up for the last five or ten minutes along with didier driver and michael ballack yeah well that should be a penalty too and what color is it the card is going to be just the yellow part he's going to have a chance to score a hat-trick here yuri zurkoff they're going to leave his left wing behind today well he had a hand in three of the goals and peter walton produced the yellow card quite a bit ok james collins was on the scene too so not the last man made man that time conceding the penalty but once again a wonderful four man passing move bres that created the opportunity for frank lampard to become chelsea's third joint goalscorer. all-time lampard versus friedel again hamilton is a treble for lampard 20 goals on the season and joins peter osgood and roy bentley for third all-time on the chelsea goalscoring lists is a staggering achievement and the only bobby tambling and kerry dixon doing well warm applause for an absolutely fantastic achievement by frank lampard 150 goals wonderful servant of the club wonderful day to do it in front of your own crowd and i'll be looking over my shoulder here at and every goal frank scores changes for aston villa that's the personal achievement from a team point of view it's 4-1 game over even with half an hour there is certainly a substitute in the works for aston villa carew is gone alfonso from nathan coming i think chelsea will do one or two ben too now 4-1 there must be some kings back aston villa to turn this around shooting down to seek charge the other top scorers in the league are flying right now it's already best booty we've ever had handled in the major league and four more to add here five at pompey midweek people said it was just pompey well he might be about to do the same to aston villa and why not , and it could happen right now and nelco between them, i've done it all, we'll get, we'll have to give deco a big pat on the back for the previous pass, but all three have been in on everything, haven't they, ruikov flying on that left side? today they have certainly been in on everything it's been a terrific performance overall only 63 minutes on the clock sensing there are a few more goals to come in this game however as the clouds continue to darken around Stamford Bridge so too for aston villa much closer together brighter for those in blue also think of kerry even at 4-1 thats good if it goes beyond that could you have a bit of a psychological thing for the cup semi final in two weeks if chelsea gives villa an absolute thrashing here? well i think that would be a totally different game, you know, a couple of weeks from now, well, martin o'neill certainly has something to think about about this game, but, you know, chelsea still has players to come back into, will have one or two changes they can make. also for r that game is going to be a different game neutral ground but uh it's a great statement from chelsea more importantly what i'm saying ben is that uh the goal difference at the top of the major league also three clear goals manchester united we've got it to do later tonight and as i say you see at birmingham arsenal they're still drawing so things go chelsea's way all of a sudden they can go round and round in this major league battle this season, just wondering if he's going back to chelsea way this afternoon that's so hard going isn't the youth team in the youth cup and he's still running here and going great and taking on john terry now nathan delfon so brilliant blocked by the chelsea captain oh and he comes out with that too absolutely fantastic john terry and there's a challenge absolutely listen it's been magnificent all afternoon you know you haven't noticed because of the performances of los decos the frank lampard the maludas but i said john terry's we had a wonderful game standing ovation around us for john terry and his commitment to this football club is the five girls midweek tour we will see the level with manchester united in the gap doesn't increase he comes up quite late chelsea quite happy to just pass the ball around ben yeah no team better at that when you go down there's a run he cuts it off for lampard who leaves it one more goal and one more goal, it's bad one again, frank lampard wasn't supposed to happen but he has his hat-trick and now florian maluda is in for an absolutely fantastic play passing ashland villa to the death chelsea selfless frank lampard florent maluda with a wonderful fifth must be around i would say 10 12 passes to that goal there are some superb goals here this afternoon from chelsea totally uninterested frank lampard and a brilliant finish from florida off his right foot underdog this is sensational five goals against beleaguered and battered portsmouth side is a thing five against aston villa who have the joint best defensive record in the
premierleague with man united before today are being pummeled here minutes left who could have imagined they would have five for 68 minutes in this game a lot of people writing a lot of things on a lot of the back pages after the disappointing games against inter and blackburn 10 goals in three days change those headlines here's an elka could be 11. he's an elka good save freedle well i guess what is center forward or main striker nicholas it's about time i got on this score sheet great ability to come in forcing brad friedl's save always difficult on main striker they go over and you say who won 5-1 the next question you wrote down and the answer is no people will ask why if you are getting greedy would you like to see a goal for joe cole and another for nicholas and alpha and then oh it's more fluid football here where will your money be now florence maluda second hat-trick in this game or a yes? only goal for nicholas and his deputy maybe even a goal for surrogate dope well i dont think they need it now they are not bringing michael ballack to happy bay they will be asked for help and the beating is even worse than they were four, one, right?
Yeah they've improved a goal this afternoon right now we're going to make their substitution actually young going up alongside del funco just checking pronunciation apparently ben east side makes it easier for us heavy Faith and Deco received a standing ovation. He's had a great game today. Michael Ballack is coming here. Yes, he has been brilliant. He has been involved in many if not all of the goals. but hey, he's had some good games and arguably none better than today. We are a bunch of aging veterans as some people would have you believe this chelsea team is doing well, don't they look pretty athletic? side of 13. maluda is about to be 30 and 31. milner enters pereira lets him bounce able to play freely but not too much as cole plays it again to check he can really get the punt off the wrong foot there he is from the poncho the detour could have gone anywhere better the control was wandering to his left hand pole and the detour took him just to the right john terry had a conversation with joe cole he walked away getting caught started a little procedure call him procedure comic procedure off with del finesso almost getting a second for villa there is a corner dealt with the near post by lampard ax some cheer here around stanford bridge because stoke scored against west ham it's hard for chelsea fans because really low the cost there, by the time some of these fans who are watching this game live get home and maybe see this again on TV, what maybe they are not happy. g of the season and he's glad he's now made a cleaner chelsea game so cole just lets him get ahead of him there and alfonso has luke young with him for four balls the flags up anyway i wonder if they'll take a frank give him a break he scored three goals chelsea five one up just wondering if they give him a break ok while we look at his penalties there will be a couple more changes kalu and van arnold are coming for chelsea here that means a risk of falling off this late, well it wasn't 100 so it wasn't going to be used unless it was needed, I think at 5-1 we can safely say they're not going to need it. the officers say it's going to be a wank the van on standby direct shift to the left back let's see first joe cole for sullivan standing ovations everywhere today gary well that was a great performance and everyone was involved in it and uh salomon kalu comes over sporting a new straight haircut at left back yuri zerkoff who might be considered guilty of john carroo's goal but certainly a flying assistant to those on the other end and is a home debut and welcome to stanford bridge for patrick van aanholt young left-back he got from psv three summers ago I wasn't going to be a weatherman early on, but I couldn't get dark without the reigns coming, sure enough, it's going down at the moment.
Bursting confidence here is a funny thing, isn't it? Here's a moose up and then back to tackle but you mentioned Kerry's goal difference and people tend to write it off but it can be important, it could easily be important this season with three teams so closely knit events like that, well, many people are considering the possibility all is well no difference with four more this afternoon will go a long way to making sure that doesn't happen sidwell super block michael ballack down there michael barrack the slipping man and the heavens have absolutely opened with some flair here which is a nice balakon sidwell block is falling and easy to catch for a better jet windy and turning you can see the rain was blowing everywhere their vantage point five one up they weren't too worried that's the latest that aston villa wanted to get drenched on top of the beating you already said they had been thinking about that coming south absolutely outmatched too l They managed to beat Carlo Angelotti in the reverse fixture this season they had met before actually as champions league bosses ac milan and celtic reigns tower above us on the gantry here and through the torrential fall there's a pretty captain there i think it's nasa hussain but the monsoon is in the way hard to tell and it gives you an idea how the heavens have opened up we are going to need an engineer real soon if it continues to hold the roof soaking everything i'll just put the coat here's Luke Young with the blanket everyone's gonna get soaked it's not often I'd say this but I think pretty much everyone on the ground would be pretty happy if the full time whistle just blew now one or two jerseys one or two fights easing up going to the bells i thought the fans dont tend to have much joy here i think most of the villa fans certainly those in the lower shed are going to be leaving the warlocks cross when the other end is going to be a corner the last touch will come out there you see it people in the vacant front seats all undercover in the back chelsea right now defending the corner they themselves haven't seen their team win here since may 2002 was a week after that awful final cut repeat to arsenal for chelsea downing corner over collins head this is milner pass through miquel loads of good performances in blue today tough call picking a man of the match franklin invaria thankfully i get it from his three goals and the actual achievement of what he has done today 150 goals for me making the best chelsea midfielder of all time go crazy and rightly so his team does not restrict the force that in front of manchester united it's good to see this is kalu doubling one and just a little wide once again a wonderful paulo ferreira passing move down the sideright hand finding salomon kalu trims solo trying to fold the ball inside right hand upright with his nationally young left foot bringing down with a bit of space Taking Patrick Van Onholt, now has to deal with Happy Bay in the overlap and Alex you do well to leave it for a little check there.
Good communication between the great central defender and goalkeeper control. through an elka with no flag still an elka wants that goal he might have to leave it he has idea it's six this is fantastic it's been a lot of selfless play today and I can't remember the last time I saw so many standing ovations around Stamford Bridge, but they totally deserve it. The village is being humiliated. An absolutely wonderful pass to start. Frank Lampard has some doubts as to whether nicholas and elka were on the same page or not. we see here playing the ball through some appeals from the villains but some great skill from elka dan and collins both dive into the set up of salomon colu the low shot to the right right footage shot just inside the right hand from brad friedman upright perfectly placed from kalu the game isn't over yet, the heavens have opened, it's 6-1 and there's still six and a half minutes left plus stoppage time.
I wouldn't bet against seventh, the way this game is going, a small home side Luton managed seven within half an hour of their game. with yedding today but i think this bank could have a little higher achievement on this level three, scoring the loot in the city increased chelsea's score, five at portsmouth and six now, but a lot of good things. andrews news late on arsenal got a goal against birmingham so maybe it will end like you were going to the wire he will be nervous we will all be nervous it is so tight we thought there would be more twists and turns i think huh his battle of the major league has some twists and turns that have yet to be played, right now, it will go to the last day, oddly enough, the last day, actually, all three sides have what it looks like on paper. home games pretty easy and that penultimate all three teams have pretty tough games looking away chelsea and anfield well they don't come tougher than that certainly not for the blues so that's one of our less successful places the Two preludes to the FA Cup semi-finals, Martin O'Neill will be hoping for a change of fortune in two weeks' time Tottenham beating Portsmouth by a pair of goals in the league game there Chelsea beating Villa here The first ever FA Cup final chelsea would be tasty wouldn't that be a way to end the season here's ferreira tha not a richard dunn corner well everyone thought so far the assistant and paulo the 6-1 leader are not going to complain say in the cup final, two statements made today, but there will be two different games in a couple of weeks. at wembley the last four minutes sidwell an unhappy return to stamford bridge for him for the major league this season is already better than any other major league year even the 93 title points here is balak can improve from collins chelsea distance corner well worth it a goal from michael ballack skinny surface only took a deflection chelsea has a chance to take the corner and probably the men of the moment have gotten over their share of franklin as usual getting his warm ovation and florida there too magnificent once more, today, in fact, it seems that Maluda will be the man who eliminates the swinger with his left foot.
Yeah, that's a tactical change lately. There have been more swingers than some. thing they are trying bay with a headbutt alfonso equally lampard bold well you just wonder what was frank trying there you know when he normally brings his right foot back there is a blockbuster coming woods but i only went for the dink the chip yes it was a Pass to Alex a little too firm, but in the end it was comfortable for Friedel. I think that in a triplet, after having achieved it, he was the target. He had a bit of room to test those lobs early last season. to stewart downing but they have numbers ahead here they can call the shots or they can do delfon so under pressure from alex and lanpod he is back with dowling terry is there to go not much to get over john terry this afternoon and he seems to be in one of his moves another fantastic performance from him as chelsea go for a seventh and elka finds balak maluga at the far post he wants it is ballack who is blocked now alex conceding the k free kick on this near side offending ashley young he's ready to take any booking later in this game in a game that's well and truly stitched up van arnott conceding his free kick that uh james milner and coke can't wait to get ashley young in there like well stewart downing will like it from the start lefty position. so for james collins maybe collins has something we don't know it's not comfortable again to check who led a goal today not that he can do anything about it he hasn't had much else to do although four extra minutes sir villa won't be very excited about it and chelsea will try to use it to get a seventh they could get it here badass still in the hat-trick pascaloo lampard this is ridiculous 151 well don't say it easy peter osgood roy bentley wonderful gram much of chelsea football club has been outclassed by frank lampard a true great himself a fourth goal for lampard seven goals for chelsea history made this afternoon by a wonderful midfielder and a team playing at the top of their form i cant imagine what the odds have been before this game on a 7-1 victory or for frank lampard to get four of them that's extraordinary it's a day to remember for frank lampard and fans of c helsea is certainly one to forget for aston villa they will have to try and use this as some kind of motivation for the cup semi final but he was always going to beat them he was always going to beat them this season and i dont think we expected him to with four goals in a game today it's an incredible thing with a player who continues to set standards and then exceeds them and it could be more here inside elka and dunn is fine when nicolas was passing by martin o'neill put everyone's head down finally clearing on that far side but but he cant wait t to get into chelsea once again in attack on that far side florida maluda playing with michael ballack chelsea playing intricate passes in and around aston villa penalty era but finally the ball is clear but not for long solomon kalu getting it back he is really young what should the roster of players and fans of this just a bad day at the office overwhelmed by a chelsea team that has suddenly found confidence in abundance? well most of the chelsea fans still left i'm sure wish nicholas and elka a goal in this game whether or not there's enough time left to be seen spilling boring chelsea it's the wry chant i don't think so there's a moose i have to say a moose has led the line today plays a different game when playing as the lone striker it has to be said milner delfonso peter walton has yet to put padding on his misery to build a free kick for what it's worth happy days de done, there's milner waiting for the misery to end.
Are you watching Manchester United Chelsea? What a way to prepare for next week's encounter before we meet Villa again at Wembley in two weeks' time Seven One History for Frank Lampard and Chelsea become the third highest scorer in club history and the blues return to top of the table probably Kerry only for a few hours we'll have to wait and see but ahead of Old Trafford this is a statement ok it's a big statement and we just heard the rules all over Stanford bridge got the premiership the league got back our way arsenal took place in a draw by bermuda scored a late goal not confirmed if it's over yet but it's gone through the bottom so as well as giving the players a standing ovation, the news is that birmingham is drawing with arsenal Is the Premier League taking another turn today?
We asked the question in the comments, well, let's hope so, thank you Kevin Phillips, thank you Frank Lampard. e thing seven more today four for frank lampard two for maluda one for kalu didn't even need didier drogba they will meet again in two weeks at wembley it won't be as easy as this it can't be we can wait if you don't wait don't fit your outfits chelsea seven aston villa one you
