That is a challenge. actually you know he's right last year we did this ok ok so basically yeah he didn't really fly very well he did a lot he didn't even make a life he just went down the runway and crashed Good job, Sam, you broke it. it's a mess i have a ton of theories as to why it went wrong but i have some fly proofing foam that is much lighter than the cardstock i used last year so let's go ahead and get started and build this thing out of the one from last year. failures in mind its time to build something a bit better and more efficient so we are going to build a type of glider plane this year from flight test foam board its a much lighter and stronger material in instead of the aluminum used last year and the cardboard I'm light In highlighting these spars which is just popular the full lug pick is much more efficient as well it's a regular glider airfoil and we're going to do like a hybrid here to sandwich it in along with this flight test foam board.

It's going to be a polyhedral wing and it's going to be a three channel plane just to keep the controls to a minimum so it just has rudder and elevator now we're pretty much just going to hot glue the

on top because it just fits so well, add a servo for throttle control and we're done good so let's go to the airfield right now and the plane is done the plane is basically a glider style plane with much more efficient airflow it's much lighter than the version earlier than this so I hope that means it's going to work great the cool thing is oh no I stepped on the oh I stepped on it I was saying the cool thing is it's made of this waterproof flight test foam that's really cool because it's real I'm really wet in here today so I'm going to go and put it together try not to step on it any more before I start there's a little caveat the trigger on this leaf blower goes from zero to 70 oh wait I took out the ba tery and it goes from zero to 70.

The problem is that I need 100 thrust and the only way to do it is to hit the stupid button because these leaf blowers always think that's a great idea so I'm going to take this stone to but the problem is that now we only have 0 or 100, there are no intermediate points, so it will be full of power all the time. A very important tip to always remember: check the center of gravity of the plane. the spar was a little too skinny and the way sam lifted it pre-broke the wing a little just a little uh come on i probably have to build another plane yeah the spar is pretty good spar is ok yeah your clever wing box design blew you told me to epoxy it man is it windy in here today spars are ok so plane seems to clean up a little bit and this thing is fully capable of flying because it kept going higher and higher until the gusts of wind came and ripped the wings off so this thing is totally going to work we just have to rebuild the plane again it's day two y'all we have fixed it. wing spar no win ds so sam hopefully won't be able to break it holding the plane at horrible angles in the wind trying to break the wings in half oh scare me for a second so hopefully we can fly and do a circuit because the challenge it's the the plane has to fly make a circuit land and then alex will have to make a toilet fly he's dead oh-oh the circuit board is bad a piece of crap freeze frame why did i ate the battery across the field um fell from 60 feet in the sky yesterday hit the circuit board right on top of it damaged the safety cutouts on the battery so the battery obviously won't work for the lower jump anymore so we're going to order a new one the battery is 122 bucks for that ok whatever we're just going to order one ok guys it's the 3rd day now we got a new battery pack I think everything works and now let's try again for Let's see if we can get the plane to do a loop, turn around and land everything. ok let's do it ok ok i'll take a look let's go yes it's actually not flying as well as yesterday oh no oh no I always thought I'd gone further somehow it's worse today oh no oh no it's not finished yet I want to end this project now it's ok let's see that's the good thing at least the lights on the led are this is how it works i don't need to buy a new battery i'm going to fix it again it's another day i hope we do it this time because i'm getting really tired this is exactly like last year fly try to fly crash fly crash repeat i want to blow my brains out and then it finally crashes but i hope this year we go further faster higher than ever um yeah that wing is a little damaged i'm just going to try to make a loop right so we're halfway there oh that's working barely working but we're flying an amazing leaf blower it looks good and keeps going higher turning it off coming in for landing with that brim really folded. alright we did we did it right yeah you saw it there it's the first flying stock unmodified leaf blower let's fly some more so we'll put this up and I'll show you the worst thing it's going to fly because this will restrict the flow of air and it will not improve it. yeah yeah he's definitely doing some thinking it sounds cooler sure I always seem to get this flyby past me. right ladies and gentlemen there you have it the world's first real flying leaf blower plane unlike last year's attempt we actually did more than a few loops we did some sort of slight roll we successfully landed it on an original leaf blower with no mods i mean i get the rock to the switch and the servo to the thing but that's a no brainer let us know you want to see us fly next as far as power tools can go because we did a drill plane on this another video, now we have the plane flyer ok
