frame

, we've got dents everywhere, we've got engine lights, we've got airbag lights, but you know, we get to the place, this is the

frame

expert shop we're about to visit. . Come on, let's go ahead and take a look and see what the 2016 Whistling Diesel Corvette did to the 2016 Whistling Diesel Corvette, I mean, it's a Hellcat Charger.

I know you're thinking about that C8 wishing you knew you had it, but today it's just the Hellcat. This thing has a little frame damage up here and I don't know what the hell, whoever was doing this heated it up, I guess they were trying to straighten it out and someone already put other parts in there. No, yeah, they changed it, so I had a bad radiator and A/C condenser and I don't know about this, the power steering cooler, but yeah, they changed all this because I didn't buy this from Whistling Diesel. They refined me, I was going to buy it from them and then another kid bought it from them and then I had to pay more price to that kid, but you know, whatever it took to get the build, but they did some work, you know they did.

I don't know who I guess whistler did the whistle special trying to do it he's not very tuned he thought he'd be tuned yeah he did a pretty good job well work right there though yeah line up that little action look of gum. well, and then I mean it looks like it lines up pretty well, although yeah, this is the new hood, the old hood, well, I didn't do it because I didn't bring it to the other store, but this is the new hood and just put this like the hood, the hood hinge needs to be adjusted, but yes, the gaps look pretty good on the front as well.

The good thing is that I have all the parts, I have both headlights, I have the crash bar, I have the complete frame. headlight rails we have the crash bar we have the bumper and then here are the buggy wheels the buggy wheels viral yes we are going to mount them stay tuned he went ahead and took the frame rails out of the trunk and I guess he supplied the complete rails but we're probably not even going to need the driver or passenger side now this is the driver's side and we'll use the driver's side pass it on what do you think we'll attach it probably somewhere else right here so what not?

This is like how many layers are like three two two, so you cut a staggered one, yeah, in place, well, so you can then combine it with that spot weld, yeah, that's how I like to do it. I would be watching how you do it. You would be doing it, you have kids, literally anything has brain damage. See, pay attention to the comments. I like to be doing, bring it in to tune in, but yeah, look, this is how I did it on the goon squad challenger. I just seasoned it right here and then I did it back here, yours is a lot worse than this, right, yeah, they're fenders, what do you call a fender skirt?
Yeah, well the apron was pushed in a little bit, but we just took it out so it wasn't so bad. What happens now with the business or what? Let's go ahead and let's go ahead and put this car on the frame and we can start setting it up to be taken overseas, so we've got the challenger on the frame. Now is the time to go ahead and get started. Going deeper into it, the first thing we're going to do is probably take the side screws out and put the metal clamps in there so that when we're doing the whole frame the car doesn't move, so let's go ahead and grab the jacks and lift this car up and set it up. so we have the car nice and secure on the clamps and since we're going to work on this frame rail here, we're going to have to take most of this apart, take it off, uh, this. radiator support and then remove this radiator as well because we have to get into this area here, so we have the whole front part, basically the part where we removed the radiators, and look at this rail here, it's pretty crooked, but the good thing is which didn't bend anywhere else, just pushed forward.
This side doesn't look so bad. I think we can heat it up and straighten this side, but now all we have to do is remove it. uh cooler here on this side and they'll be ready to put some holes in so we've pretty much got everything stripped from the front of this car. We're going to start with the passenger side rail here, the first thing we want. What we need to do is get this rail out because it's pushed in pretty well, so we're going to take it out to try to get it into its perfect position and the way we're going to do that is my brother is going to weld. a plate here and we can just pull this whole piece out, so you've already gone ahead and soldered this piece here now, all we have to do is set up this tower and just pull all of these things out as much as we can. then we'll cut it out so you can rebuild things okay so look at this we've got the rail all right and we pulled it out it's in this perfect position now what we need to do is grab the saw and just cut it out and then we'll start working on our new rail and we're going to start working on it and we're going to see exactly how we're going to splice the new one together so now that we've cut the frame rail out now what we're going to work on is getting this piece here because we're going to splice this piece probably say here on this side and then we're going to do this side like here we're going to do a nice stepped fit, so let's go ahead and draw all these points right here and we've got a little bit of welds that we need to polish right there and we can take this panel off and use it. as a template for that rail, you can put it on that one. and then we make a nice cut there, so we cut everything over here, we go ahead and cut the back and trim everything so it's ready, so now what we need to do is start working on the new frame rail.
Here we have our template piece, here we have to polish it a little bit and then it will sit flush on top of here and then all we have to do is mark it and cut it with the grinder and that will line up. Perfect with that, what's wrong with my car, buddy? Cut the entire frame. We are going to get this back to OEM specs. This is how they do it at the Chevy dealership. All we have to do is. just weld it real quick I trust you man this comes with a warranty yeah as soon as you get out the door the warranty is over it's tight it's tight clean everything up on the frame rail and on the frame of the car , now I just need to strap it on and we're actually going to test the fitment of the radiator support.
Check all measurements and see how well it lines up. How is it there? uh, he went ahead and put the radio stand on. Yuri went ahead and made all the measurements. it lines up beautifully now what we need to do is remove this frame rail we're going to spray some welding primer in there and we can go ahead and finally weld everything together beautifully three we've got everything lined up on the

hellcat

now it's ready to go ahead and solder and my brother is actually going to solder everything for us so let's get to it so we've got the rail welded in there we go ahead and polish everything up and it looks great now everything we're going to do.
It's applying a little bit of polish to some of the areas and then we can sand that polish off and put some primer on it and then we get some paint and we paint these rails so look at the frame rails all painted dude what you do? Think about it buddy, I'm honestly impressed. I know you do a good job, but this is how it is. You can't even see the marks on the wall. Looks like basically factory OEM. Now what we have to do is go ahead and simply. Start putting everything back together, like the radiators, so we can get this off the frame.
What's the plan? Let's break it up after this or what will we do. Some burns, some burns or something. Wow, I can't see anything big. Shout out to Judas Garage, but trust me on this Hellcat, it's great to be working on one of Whistle and Diesel's old Hellcats that he beat up, but if you look at the frame rails, it turned out awesome, what do you think? It looks pretty good. I mean, there's no better guy on YouTube to do this. Look at the old frame rail. Look at this. I was devastated. It doesn't even look like a frame rail.
But now it seems that it was never wrapped and this just took. like a day like a day and a half he went crazy if without it it was very short notice he just called me and said hey I just bought a

hellcat

and some frames we're good we just hit it it's actually Sunday. today, but we finished everything, that will be it and if you want to follow the complete rebuild of this car, be sure to check out Judah's garage on YouTube.
