Jun 01, 2021
Hey guys, I'm at JFK airport on my way to Taiwan, finally my food Mecca. Normally, when I fly, I buy the cheapest ticket imaginable... like I'm making two stops just to save ten dollars. But I always wanted to see it was like

flying

first

class at least once in my life and after a lot of convincing, I finally pulled the trigger, so on my

trip

to Taiwan I will fly

first

class with Korean

airlines

. So far the experience has been quite pleasant, I didn't have to wait to check in at the counter. The person at the counter even offered to wrap my luggage in that saran wrap looking thing, which I really don't think does much good.

I'm just talking about a few layers of thin plastic. What effect does that really have on you? So now I'm on my way to the salon to check it out and of course I didn't eat anything for a good part of the day because I expect good food there. This seems pretty normal, it's just that a normal living room doesn't look that impressive. I'm still looking for my food. This could be the solution. Great coffee maker, although I don't drink coffee. Oh, look at this pile of Shin noodles. Ah, sunshine chips! Oooooh ~~ Milano Cookies, I love them!

This is my little seat, the television, all these windows for me, and there's the chair. and here is a closet for my jacket and my bag. They just brought me some good things, these headphones... Oh great, lip balm. I need it because after aspen (?) my lips are completely chapped. Cooling eye gel... I'm not unsure what this is and not sure how to do it.
Use it...but...face cream is nice to have, interesting. A small eye mask. I never used this because I don't like things on my face when I sleep. Alright, this is really cool. Okay, it looks like a really nice toothbrush and probably the cutest little tube of toothpaste you've ever seen. And a very small shoehorn. You know, this bag is really pretty. I think now I can just use it for future

trip

s. This bag is really pretty. I mean, it has slots for everything, it's a nice bag. They brought pajamas, so yeah, I'm going to wear these just because, why not?
Let's look inside this little booklet here. That is, jackpot. This is a menu of the food they have here, and I'm glad I didn't eat as much in the lounge, so I had dinner here. Check it out. That's my dinner menu. Tuna loin tartare with chives and braised scallops. I don't like to eat anything raw. Main course: Korean bibimbap roasted cod fillet with crushed herbs, served with dill cream sauce, sweet pumpkin puree and vegetables. Sounds good. Shrimp Dumpling Noodle Soup Fresh seasonal fruit, selection of bread, okay Omija Punch, I don't know what that is Refreshments: ramen with sides, fresh cookie.
Breakfast: It's Korean oxtail soup with yogurt with a side dish... can you see that? Those are my breakfast items here: scrambled eggs with potatoes. Well, it looks like for dinner I'll probably order bibimbap, or grilled cod, or a bowl of ramen. Again, I was expecting a steak or something and this is pretty good. This is a lot of wine and it's a total waste for me because I don't drink, but if I did I would abuse it. I just have to say their service here has been top notch, okay you guys don't see much of this because I don't want to film like the hostesses and the rest of the staff but as soon as I walked in they let me in. my seat and they hung my coat in that little closet you saw, they asked me if I wanted to drink something, I bought a seltzer.
They brought me my pajamas and just now the captain came personally to greet me. They also brought a selection of today's newspaper in case I wanted to read the news, you know, one thing I've always been interested in is what the first class bathroom is like and here's the automatic sink Florecitas, this is really cool, you have rinse oral, razors, shaving. creams, lotions The bathroom is bigger and you have like a little seat here in case you don't want to sit in your own seat. It's probably twice the size of a normal airplane bathroom. This is really cool.
Do you see that? See how it floats like a little triangle? Now, the reason why this is great is that every time I come in here, you know, people use this all the time, but every time I come in here, every time someone comes in here and uses the toilet paper, the hostesses come and they fold it. This in a little triangle because you know, having regular toilet paper shaped like that is not civilized, you can't have that. This is the pajamas, it feels really good. They are very soft, very cottony, they have long sleeves. They remind me of Japanese school uniforms where you button up the top.
I don't know how it works, but I think it's a door. I think I can close it when I go to sleep. Check it out, here's my appetizer. It looks very pretty. Just a small bottle of olive oil plus vinegar. Stewed beef, some pickled radish and some pickled cucumbers for the kimchi, and then little pieces of seaweed. So this is a seaweed soup. It's nice and light. Deconstructed beef stew, large chunks of beef, carrots. Try my bibimbap. I mean, is this the best bibimbap I've ever had? No. Not bad for bibimbap served on a plane. I have a feeling that it is going to be very tasty because it is very spicy and the sauce here is very good.
Wow, it was very good. Wow, I can eat like 20 pieces of that. This is really cool. They're turning my thing into a bed So there it is, there's a blanket a little mattress, there goes my door, the doors close. Okay, this is my little room, now I'm going to get some sleep and see. you in the morning. Good night. Hello guys, good morning. I just woke up. I think I slept about six or seven hours and it was definitely the best sleep I've ever had on a plane. Normally I won't be able to sleep, but I felt super comfortable, the bed was super comfortable.
It's like being in a hotel or at home. . He got up, gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste, I brushed my teeth and then they just left me warm cookies. At breakfast time, I have some cereal, some croissants and banchan. I haven't had banchan with cereal before, so it's interesting. I also ordered oxtail soup, I had never had it for breakfast either. It looks like a little hot sauce and onion. Get in there. The oxtail soup has no salt. You have to add your own salt to give it the flavor you want. It's pretty good. The spice is hotter than I thought it was going to be, which is amazing.
It's like a nice morning kick in Seoul, South Korea. It's really great. I wish I had time to take a look. But I only have a couple of hours left before my transfer. This airport is beautiful, very clean and pleasant. It's like five in the morning here too. So there's no one here. I'm in the first class lounge in Seoul, South Korea. Let's take a look at this place. Let's see if it's better than JFK's. I see plugs right away, that's a plus. Look at this. Wow. This is delicious, Haagen-Dazs ice cream and look at this, did you know that Haagen-Dazs makes green tea ice cream?
Massage room with shower I guess I'll check it out. Let's take a look. You have your set of towels. Look at those aftershave razors. Nice bathroom. Wow, this is a very nice shower. That? Alright, I think I'll spend some time here. I'm in a men's room and I just discovered this, check it out. This is by far the most elegant bathroom I have ever seen. What am I supposed to do here? What better way to spend a couple of hours at the salon than to simply sit in a massage chair and then eat a Haagen-Dazs Green Tea Ice Cream.
You know, I feel like these machines can kill you easily. Because if they don't work, you just push too hard and you're as good as dead. I think the machine is trying to kill me. It's enough. This looks very good. This is a multi-tier steamer and it looks like it has kimchi mandu. Maybe it's kimchi buns. Seafood shaomai and pork mandu. Also, here we have some mushroom porridge. I think I'll skip that one. I'm about to board my flight to Taiwan so that concludes my first class experience and overall it was very enjoyable, it's obviously first class, who doesn't like that?
As for comfort, the bed was super comfortable. As for the food, it was good. It wasn't like you knew amazing food. It wasn't like something I would be thinking about. I think what really stands out is the service, like when I was on that flight, the flight attendant checked on me, maybe every five minutes, she walks by, I can see the look on her face to see if I need anything. It was almost too much for me because I'm still not used to that kind of thing. I'm not used to people waiting for me. And you know, control myself, the lounge was nice, especially this one here in Seoul, I mean the one in New York, the one at JFK, it was just mediocre.
But this one is really nice, it has the massage machines, the crazy toilet chairs. I'm not going to go into details about it, but it was a very comfortable experience. I always wanted to try what the first class was like. I would do it again? Probably not because just this time I had to use basically all my points and I also had to pay extra money, so it's definitely for people who have a lot of money. And I will tell you that it will be so. It's really hard to fly economy class again, because after a 16 hour flight, I'm completely rested and ready to go, so when I go to Taiwan maybe I'll even go to a night market tonight and film a video about the market night.
Because I literally feel like I slept in my bed where I slept in a hotel room. I'm completely ready to go. And I felt even better after getting that massage in that massage chair until that thing tried to kill me. That was my first class experience with Korean

airlines

and I hope it was interesting and fun for you to see. Alright, I'll see you in Taipei. Later
