Far Cry 5: 10 Things To Know When Starting A New Game
Jun 01, 2021Far Cry 5 is out now and we've had our hands on it for quite some time. It's a very different and familiar Far Cry
game
at the same time. If you arrive fresh, we have some tips for beginners to keep in mind. As you play, I'm Jake and here are 10things
toknow
about Far Cry 5when
starting
a newgame
starting
at number 10. Let's talk about the world. It is structured in three large parts in the hands of each of the members of the Big Bad family. you're free to go wherever you want, but I think the southeast quadrant occupied by John is a good starting point because you go boomer and you're quickly introduced to Nick Rye and it's just a bunch of other good allies to get you there. While we're on the topic, progression in the game works with everything you do to fill up the stamina meter, release hostages, blow
things
up and do missions and whatnot, it fills up this bar by different amounts and once it reaches certain points, trigger non-skippable story moments you get locked in once the meter is completely full and you beat the big bed in the region you beat the region now just keep in mind you can still stay and complete everything else after if you want, but getting to number 9 is a very different thing. this far is just how much of this works systems wise far cry 5 handles progression very differently than previous games you're not climbing towers and filling your map with things to mark there's no mini-map here and it's all about more discovery and organic progression to move forward this means finding things to do you have to find things in the world luckily there are always things but it just means you have to be active you have to pay attention click the road signs to find out where the hunting spots are to save the civilian from getting hit on the side of the road because then you have to talk to her and she will talk to you about, say, a cache of weapons you should blow up or read a note on the side of a barn to find or ut where a cache of prepper is basically clicking everything in the game to get things done sounds stupid but some people may not immediately realize that's how it is o works a lot of the game so i think its worth mentioning now in number 8 you should learn to use friends very quickly thanks for Hire and weapons for hire are extremely important here if you played metal gear solid 5 think about the way in that those allies work similarly here, especiallywhen
you want to go quiet and stealthy, get boomer first, he's the dog.Head south from the starting island and let him free because then he can slide around and mark enemies for you that you may not have seen and then when he hits a fan he can take down the bad guys for you. Grace Armstrong is worth it, if you had Wes. the Church of the Lamb of God is good - bring just because she's crafty and can shoot headshots from a good distance then you can also go with more thanks for Hire like peaches the cougar or cheeseburger the bear which can really mess up the things in a Fire Fight as well as Crazy Blow Lady and Nick Wray who can give you air support there is a lot here to help you not only that you can also recruit random citizens to help you and if you use them for a while all they unlock certain perks that make them stronger in a fight now at number 7 definitely look for prepper hideouts.
Don't ignore these hideout side quests because they are not only a great way to earn money and skill points, but also because they are just creative and fun. they offer something slightly different from the usual Far Cry gameplay. There's some really cool stuff here, after you pick up a tip on one they track you down and are often like an environmental puzzle worth solving so you can get into a secret bunker filled. with stuff sometimes there are cash scaling points stuff like that but sometimes you come across a cool new weapon or new vehicle out of the deal so you definitely shouldn't overlook these now at number 6 this is small but you can real throw your melee weapon it took me a second to figure this out maybe i'm stupid i don't
know
it took me a while to figure it out but it works great if you're desperate maybe you're out of ammo and you if you're trying to get one stealth kill, you can get it back immediately after you kill someone or keep in mind that even if you lose it, there are melee weapons almost everywhere in the world so you'll be fine now at number 5.Still Talking about scaling points and performance points because that is one of the most important items in the game besides money and you want to earn these performance points faster so one way to do that is by accepting challenges. You might want to cancel the challenges when you see them but really, they are a very quick way to win these are the usual video game checklists like kill 10 enemies with headshots or melee or skydive by X number away keep this in mind as you play because there are a lot of them and they are a very easy way to get perk points fast now next step number 4 lets stop and talk about in game economy for a second for the first 10 hours or maybe even more money isn't exactly flying everywhere you're going to get money in the hundreds not really the thousands so it's going to be precious and you'll want to put a lot of thought into every weapon or vehicle upgrade you buy and those are the things in the ones you should focus on.
My point is don't worry about spending money. to reload your ammo or buy med kits it doesn't matter because you can easily find all those things in the world pretty much everywhere when reloading your ammo would cost a couple hundred dollars and every hundred dollars really counts in the early game stages in the that you'll want to go poking around the environment just keep your eyes open and usually you'll always be freshly stocked up third plus and for molotovs and explosives and stuff when you can craft them yourself anyway now at number three of course Yes and You know if you played a Far Cry game before outposts are the crux of every Far Cry game and even though they're slightly tweaked here it's still the same old kind of thing, find a base plan for your attack , enter and kill everyone. and claim it for yourself but as i was talking about since money is one of the main things you want in the game and since it is so limited you should know that taking down outposts silently and without alerts gives you bonus cash usually a few hundred bucks, so while you're usually raiding outposts just to progress through the game as usual, keep in mind that if you take it easy, you'll earn a couple extra bucks now until the end of the game. number two, don't make the mistake.
You did it earlier in the game. Don't ignore the Arcade mode. You can find the arcade machines and many claimed outposts. You usually always know they're around because you'll hear some goofy NPC barking about it. You might think it gets you two optionals. modes that don't really matter that much but don't leave it out, it affects your progression in the game. The arcade mode allows you to create your own maps and play and have fun, but if you play through some of the low created levels and missions available in the arcade. I will increase a rank before that mode and then leveling up in that rank will give you money and perk points that you can bring back to the main game and since you want money and want perk points to upgrade in Far Cry you should probably try and Jump into arcade mode and now at number one let's keep it simple but we've been talking about perks and we've been leading up to all the ways to get perks now how should you spend them?
This perk system or skill tree is really how you get better in the game most of the perks are unlocked early on so you can really spend them on whatever you want it's really up to you how you want to spend it but I have a couple the one you should work on first first I would recommend more health with health bo the first because the game world can be pretty harsh and you always get shot at almost constantly you also have to save eight points but the extra holster is almost an absolute must because you feel extremely limited to start a game with only two weapons for holding then of course there is a grappling hook and a parachute which are nice early on because they really open you up to a real far cry game where you can move a lot better , so other things are worth considering like the fishing minigame which is cool but you?
I really need and vantage points early on. I don't think it's up to you, but I definitely think more weapons, more mobility, and more health are the most important things to focus on, but that really brings me to the end. That's ten fast. tips we think you should know before jumping into Far Cry 5 when you're starting a new game, but if some of you have already jumped in, I definitely want to know what you're thinking if you have any tips. g that you've discovered in the world, let's talk about that and talk about anything Far Cry 5 in the comments, we definitely want to hear from you guys, but if you enjoyed this video and maybe learned a thing or two, hit the Me button liking is the best way you can help us and we really appreciate it but if you are new you need to subscribe because you are joining an army of four million and we post videos like this every day but as always thanks for watching and see you next time guys
