More Interesting Facts About,

eyeshadow tutorial for beginners very detailed ale jay...

The reason it is important is because it allows the eyeshadow to adhere to your eyelids and it allows the eyeshadow to blend really well and stay in place. The foundation can be an eyeshadow primer or it can be a concealer, so if you are going to use a concealer you should make sure to use an oil-free matte cream concealer. That type of concealer is suitable for the eye shadow you don't wear. You don't want to use a concealer that's oily, you don't want to use a concealer that's too runny, it's too runny, you want to use a cream concealer with an oil-free matte formula, my favorite is the Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer in the shade amon.

I really like this concealer because it's sticky enough as an eyeshadow, but if you're the type of person who doesn't really want to use a concealer, you want to use an eyeshadow base. A really good eyeshadow primer is the urban decay primer potion I think. This is a really great eyeshadow base to apply, but for me and my deeper skin, I like to use this concealer because I feel like it makes the eyeshadow show more than the base potion, so I'm going to use this. In this video today, what I'm going to do is use a flat brush like this one, it's great for applying concealer on your eyelids and it's great for cleaning up your brows, so that's what I'm going to do.

I'm just going to lightly dip into this concealer and then starting from the middle of my brows, I'm just going to wipe my brows and then whatever's left on the brush I'm going to put it on my eyelid, I like to do. this first before I clean the front of my eyebrows just to get a little bit of that concealer off the brush first and then whatever's left I just go up and use it to clean the front you don't want to put too much on. concealer around this area here because it's going to look very fake, so I like to put a little bit of concealer on the inner part of my eyebrows, so next I'm going to spread this concealer to prep my eyelids.
I'm putting a small amount, I'm not putting too much so it doesn't get too creamy. Basically you want to neutralize your eyes, you want your eyes to be the same color as your under eyes before you apply eyeshadow. So now that the eyes are neutral they look, you know, one tone. I'm going to go straight to the eyeshadow, so if you want the pigmentation of the eyeshadow to show through, don't set this concealer with any powder, it will make it sticky. like that and it just jumps right into the eyeshadow, if you set it with a setting powder, I feel like it takes away the pigmentation of the eyeshadow and it doesn't really come out, you know, like pigmented, the richness of the eyeshadow doesn't really come out. noticeable.
So once you apply concealer, you just want to dive right into the eyeshadow. So for today's eyeshadow I'm going to use tarte pro. This is the Amazon clay palette. I love this eyeshadow palette because I feel like it's a very beginner-friendly palette. I love how they put all the matte shades on one side and all the shimmer shades on one side, so the first thing you should do when you want to start applying eyeshadow is to start with an eyeshadow shade that is a little darker than your eyelids and then as you continue to apply the eyeshadow, I feel like you can go even darker depending on the eye makeup style you choose, so even if you're going for a smoky eye, you can apply darker shades until you get to that black. tone, so you should start with the lightest transition shade, but the lightest transition shade should be a few shades darker than your eyelids, so the first shade I'm going to choose in this palette is the weak shade, it's like a brown shade, but It's a warm brown shade, so your first shade will start in the crease area, so you want to start with a crease blending brush.
One brush I really like to use is the Morphe M506 brush, this is what the brush looks like. Very tapered, very small, this brush is ideal for people with smaller eyelids because it is perfect, it reaches right into the crease. Now I get a lot of questions like, what if I have bigger eyelids? For larger eyelids, I definitely recommend using the morphe m441 brush. or a brush very similar to this one, so this brush is also a crease blending brush, but it's very, very fluffy, so you want to start with a fluffy brush and you don't want to use a dense brush.
Fluffy brushes are always great for eyeshadows and that's why I really like them so I definitely recommend this for people with larger eyelids and the Morphe M506 brush which is smaller for smaller eyelids so what I go for What to do is use the Morphe M506 brush because I have smaller eyelids, but before I do that, you see these wrinkles in my eyes, you don't want to use eye shadow. When they see those wrinkles, they just want to go back in with the brush they use to put on the concealer and get rid of it. that crease on your eyelids right before you apply the eyeshadow so you have that soft base and then what you want to do is immediately go pick up that shade of eyeshadow so you just want to touch it somewhere so the excess powder just disappears and what you want to do is hold the brush on the tip of the handle, so you don't want to hold the brush like here because it's not going to allow you to really blend the eyeshadow that you want to hold. the brush on the tip of the handle like somewhere around here because it gives you better control to apply and blend the eyeshadow and this just gives you a softer, smoother blend so you want to start on the outside of your eyes and Bring it inward and you're just going to want to focus on the crease area because we're going to put on an eyelid shadow, so if your eyelids crease, you're going to have a really deep crease, what you want to do is Raise your eyebrows to so you can put that eye shadow in the crease area so you just want to go back and forth with the wiper motion and just apply that shadow so you can see this shadow is like a transition shade it's a warm tone and it's on its own in the crease so that the eyeshadow looks really blended, so we're going to move on to the next shade, so every time you apply a different shade you want to make sure that you're using a clean brush, you don't want to apply two different eyeshadows with the same one brush, it's just going to give you that cloudy look on your eyeshadow, it's not going to look blended and it's not really going to look good, so As I get deeper and deeper into the crease, you want to make sure that your eyeshadow brush It's getting smaller and smaller, so since I'm going to go deeper into my crease, I'm going to use the Morphe m507 brush as you can see.
This brush is smaller than the m506 brush and I'm going to use a deeper shade and place it right in the crease area, so if you have larger eyelids I would definitely recommend using the morphe m330 brush. a fluffy blending brush so it's soft to the touch, but I really like this brush for larger eyelids because it's big enough but the tip is very pointy. The next shadow that I'm going to pick up is going to be darker than this eyeshadow, so I'm going to pick up this shade called edgy and it's like a deep brown shade.
I'm saturating the tip of the brush with the shade, removing the excess, and I'm going to place this shade right in my crease area. I just want to go back and forth in the crease area to apply this shade. I like to focus the darker shades on the outside of my eye just because I feel like it gives it a better look than when you apply it all over the crease. So I'm just focusing this shade on the outside and bringing it towards the inside not too much because we're going to put on an eyelid shade, so once you apply the second shade you'll always want to go back to the first shade. shadow to blend those two shadows, so I'm going to go back to using the same brush that I used for that first shadow, dipping back into that first shadow, removing the excess.
I'm going to apply this shade where those two eyeshadows meet. Right around this area, this is where they are found. I am using this shade to blend both shades and everything looks natural and very fluid. You don't want harsh lines in your eyeshadow. You want everything to look mixed together, so come back. and sticking with the shadows allows it to blend well if you feel like the first shade has faded a little, you can go back to that shade and just pack it in there if you feel like you've blended it too much. You can definitely go back and forth to make sure the pigmentation is enough according to your taste, so if you want to use a darker shade, you can definitely do that, but for today's makeup look we're going to keep it very simple because it's for beginners.
Friendly makeup tutorial. I'm not going to use a darker tone. I feel like smokey eyes can get a little more complex, so the next shadow I'm going to use is going to be placed on my eyelid area. So for the lids, there are a lot of different brushes that you can use depending on what type of makeup you're going for, because today I'm going to put a shade of matte eyeshadow on my lid. I'm going to use the Morphe m456 brush for This is a very thin tapered brush, very small, it's also a blending brush for the crease area, but I like to use this brush for my lids as well because I feel like it picks up the powder much better than a flat brush, so if you're going for a shimmer or metallic eyelid shade and you have larger eyelids, I would definitely say use this type of brush, so this is a flat brush, this is a brush that picks up the makeup really well. shimmer eyeshadow and it's big enough for people with larger eyelids or you can use a flat brush that's bigger than this, but it would be really nice to pick up shimmer or metallic eyeshadows.
If you have smaller eyelids, I would definitely recommend a brush like this. Now this brush is a lot smaller for people with smaller eyelids like me, so you definitely want a smaller brush like this, so I'm going to choose this shade called bold. I'm literally saturating the entire brush with this shade, removing the excess just a little bit, just a touch. I'm going to place this shadow on my eyelid area and what I'm doing is literally just placing it there. I'm not going to go back and forth like this trying to blur it out, don't you want to. go back and forth because it will move the other eyeshadows that you put there and what you want to do is go right where your crease is so around this part here make sure you cover the entire lid and then Once you apply that tone, you'll want to reapply that deep brown shade.
As you can see, once I apply a shadow, I'll reapply the previous shadow to blend everything out, so I'll move on. and I pick up that edgy shade and I'm going to blend it right where these two shadows meet, which is right here, make sure everything looks nice and washed out and then what you want to do is take it where the crease is because that's also where those two Shadows blend together, so for the inner part of your eye you want to use an eyeshadow shade that is lighter than the shade on your lid, so if you put a shimmery shade on your lid you'll want a shimmery shade on your eyelid. inner part. lighter than your eyelid shade, I feel like that gives your eyeshadow a little bit of shimmer, so for the inner part of my eye I'm going to choose this shade called classic, which is like an eyeshadow shade super shiny, practically white, and you definitely want to use a brush that's small enough to reach here, so a really good brush for shimmery eyeshadows is this type of brush.
This is the morphe m321 brush. This type of brush is perfect for getting the inner part of the shimmer eyeshadow to lay down correctly. in ittear duct, but since I'm using a matte eyeshadow, I'm going to apply it with a flat brush, so if you're doing a matte eyeshadow, you're going to want the inner shadow to continue with a flat brush, so use I'm going to place this brush right on the inside to give a little bit of shine to the eye shadow and you also want to bring this towards your tear duct and this is totally optional, you don't have to do this, so as usual , going back to using the previous eyeshadow, I'm going to go ahead and smudge this shade and literally that's it for the top of the eye, so I'm going to go ahead and line my eyes, put on my lashes and come back to finish the part bottom of my eyes, so I kept going.
I lined my eyes and put on some lashes, so I have an eyeliner and lash tutorial for those of you who are interested in learning how to apply eyeliner and put on lashes. I'll leave the link to those videos in the description box. I'm going to be on the beginner makeup playlist so I'm going to move on to the bottom of my eyes so for the bottom of the eyes I feel like it's a little bit easier so for the bottom of the eye you just want to. to use the same transition shades that you use in the crease, you want to use a smaller brush just because that area is going to be a little bit smaller, so this is the morphe m213 brush.
I'm picking up on that whimsical tone. what is the first shade I applied in the crease area. I'm going to dust off the excess and I like to start from the outside of my eye and just go back and forth on that area bringing it inward. part and you always want to place the lightest shades right under the bottom eye, so here and then what I like to do is take it up to where the top is, so you want to go in with the next shade, so the next shade that I used was the dark brown shade called edgy and using the same brush I am going to place this on the inner part and since the lower part of your eyes is small, it doesn't matter if you use the The same brush with the same tone just because those two shadows are they're going to blend anyway, so you want to go back with that first shade and blend them together so it's all for the lower eyes.
It's very, very simple if you master the upper eye. you can definitely do the bottom eyes so I'm going to go ahead and finish this makeup look and then I'll come back with the final look so that's it for this video I hope you enjoyed this video I hope. This video was helpful for those of you who have had difficulty applying eyeshadow.
