Hi, I'm Renee, saving a penny at a time this week I went to high V and spent $25 and managed to feed my
dayswith three meals a day and it wasn't easy but we ate a lot and I'll do it first. I share with you the purchase of everything I bought and then we will go over the menu plan and you can see everything we cooked tonight. Hello everyone. I went to the supermarket today. I had 25 dollars and I spent $25 on all this
foodand I had four cents in change, so let's take a look at what I was able to buy and then I'll see how many meals and how long I can feed a
familyof four, which would only cost $25.
This time some healthier
food, let's take a look at what I bought, so I bought a loaf of wheat bread. I can tell you a little about the prices. I remember a lot of them, but that was a dollar. I got Skippy natural peanut butter. dollar 58 this cheese was a dollar I bought a can of pineapple slices in their own juice for a dollar I think it was actually 95 cents this big jar of Galler sugar-free applesauce 99 I think two cans of chili beans was two for one dollar one grande grande can of diced tomatoes some spaghetti sauce with Italian sausage cornbread mix two boxes of macaroni and cheese 33 cents I think this place was a good deal brown sugar maple oatmeal that was a dollar Fifty had their vegetables in a bird's eye view for a dollar each so I bought mega cut green beans and some broccoli.

Whole wheat pasta was a dollar. I had this original farmland sausage. I think 12 ounces was a dollar. 50 I bought some long grain brown rice for I think 99 cents they had the cheese shredded. a dollar 99 I thought we needed something to snack on so I bought two popcorn and some animal crackers I think the animal crackers were a dollar 78 popcorn was two for a dollar they gave me a dozen eggs eighty-seven cents this It was the super purchase of the chicken breast a day 35 ounces 2.2 pounds for the dollar ninety-nine and I bought one last week and they were really good, so I know that with this type of chicken you have more problems because it burns in the freezer, but If you use it right away, it's usually good. and yeah, we'll see what I can do with that.
I decided to buy the old Hulk lettuce again, iceberg lettuce, even though it was a dollar 48, a big five pound bag of potatoes for a dollar 98. I bought four Red Delicious apples for a dollar eighty one anyway that's all I have . I have some good ideas of what I'm going to do and I hope my family doesn't protest too much. I think everything looks good and thank you, maybe some baked potatoes with broccoli and cheese, maybe some chili, maybe spaghetti, something. maybe with chicken and grilled cheese maybe for lunches maybe eggs with macaroni and cheese for breakfast Amy let's see what I cook and see how we do it here the menu plan I came up with for breakfast is oatmeal and applesauce, toast french fries and pineapple syrup Johnny cake with the apple toast with peanut butter and apple, then two of the
dayswe will have brunch, so that will count for lunch and breakfast, and that day we will have a sausage burger, a hash of potato with egg and cheese on an apple and then, for lunch, one. day we will have macaroni and cheese and green means grilled cheese with salad, a salad with hard boiled eggs, broccoli and cheese, baked potatoes and then of course brunch, so that's what I came up with for lunch and breakfast , here is my menu plan for dinner we ate cold one night served over rice, I was going to leave it on the side but it was very filling we had fried rice with chicken with pineapple rings with spaghetti with sauce and a salad we had barbecue chicken two nights one night we had baked fries and salad the other night we had baked potato and green beans with cheese for dessert, a crispy apple and for a snack we had popcorn and animal crackers, here is breakfast, day one and the day two actually johnny cake with a little syrup which is essentially cornbread and some apple slices looks delicious breakfast two of the days is oatmeal with brown sugar and a half cup of applesauce looks delicious, okay here's breakfast two pieces of peanut butter toast and half a cup of applesauce this tastes great it should be I held off until lunchtime so I want to make some sauce for the french toast I made today so I took some brown sugar, poured some of the pineapple juice from the pineapple can and put two pineapple slices on it.
I even named it like some. cinnamon or whatever anyway I'm going to cook this in some kind of fruit sauce and pour it over the French toast to get something different that people will like, that's what I need for French toast breakfast today. here is the finished product, french toast with pineapple syrup and brown sugar, this is breakfast for my family and I think you will love it. Here is our breakfast or brunch, in fact, for Saturday and Sunday we will have potatoes, egg, sausage burger and I sprinkled a little cheese and then a quarter cup of apple sauce, delicious for lunch.
Today we're having a wedge salad with a hard-boiled egg and I sprinkled some cheese on it just to make it taste even better. Here it is. Dinner for two days is good generic kraft macaroni and cheese and some green beans, some of my family's favorites, so they'll be happy with this lunch menu plan. Today we will have a grilled cheese sandwich. I put two pieces of cheese on it. just to make it a little more filling and a small salad and I'll sprinkle a little cheese on top and we'll put a little ranch on it, that's how my kids like salad and I think it's pretty good too. so grilled cheese and some salad today for lunch here's another delicious baked potato lunch and I put in some cooked broccoli and melted some gooey gooey cheese and I'm sure it's going to be another hit with the family of anyway, another lunch will be served, hopefully happy family.
I'm eating a pretty healthy lunch, so I'm making a big pot of chili. I grabbed the can of tomatoes and I'm sorry, my little dog is barking and begging for some delicious chili. I took two cans of chili beans and added a bunch of spices and I think what we're going to do. What we're going to do is pour this over some rice to make it a little more filling, but I think it'll hopefully be two dinners if I put it on top of the rice, so this is what we'll have for two of our dinners. with rice and I'll probably add some fruit here is dinner tonight, it's fried rice with chicken.
I took the rest of the rice I had made the other day, soy sauce and fried one of the chicken breasts in a pan and then combined it with two slices of pineapple for dinner tonight we are going to have grilled chicken. I just cut it into chunks and pan fried it with some barbecue sauce that I had in my pantry and took two potatoes and cut them into very thin slices and fried them. in the oven with a little cooking oil and then I'll give us a salad to go with it. I'm making spaghetti for dinner.
One of my tricks for making my spaghetti is my fries, these little ones, it's basil, fresh basil. in an ice cube tray and then I put olive oil on it and then instead of putting butter on the noodles, I take some frozen basil with olive oil and mix it into the pasta and it gives it a nice flavor, one of my little ones. Tonight's dinner tricks are spaghetti with red pasta sauce with Italian sausage and a salad with a little ranch and a little cheddar cheese. That sauce is a Hunts brand and was only a dollar.
It really tastes good. Anyway, I'm not very impressed with it. Dinner tonight for a Sunday dinner we will have the rest of the roast chicken, baked potato and I had some of the sliced cheese left that I had made grilled cheese with and my family likes green beans with cheese so took the rest of the green beans. and I added some cheese and this will be our nice Sunday dinner, this is the Sunday dinner dessert. I took an apple and cut it up, put it in the bottom of this little sprayed pan and then took some melted butter and one of the oatmeal packets mixed together, poured on top and baked for about 30 minutes until the apples were pleasant, soft and delicious.
Anyway, that will be our dessert for Sunday dinner because we like to dine a little fancier on Sundays. and they are delicious.
