Everything Wrong With Girl Meets World… (There's A Lot)

May 09, 2024
It feels like he's doing a lot when he's actually not saying anything at all, Lois insists to himself, what he insists on himself means that, so you know that show you saw on your favorite kids' channel that made you go. Eh, maybe I'm too old for this. You know that a show maybe on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel made you realize that maybe you're no longer the target demographic for this channel. Well, for me that program was the

world

of

girl

meat, I think I saw it. just one episode of the show and it made me realize that Disney Channel was no longer the channel for me, but there were a lot of people in my community asking me to watch this show and make a video about it and I have to be honest.
everything wrong with girl meets world there s a lot
Hoping to never have to make this video, so like I said, I never watched the show, but I always watched clips on Tik Tok and I wasn't excited about the idea of having to make this video anymore, there was just something about it. show that seemed very unappealing, maybe it was the fact that it was a sequel series to a 90s show, Boy Meets World, which I also never watched or maybe it was because all the out of context clips I saw from the show were really It's not funny, it's really embarrassing or borderline disturbing, but honestly the hit clips I've seen piqued my interest a little as I really just wanted to see for myself if this show was really as horrible as people made it out to be afterwards. to watch all 73 episodes.

More Interesting Facts About,

everything wrong with girl meets world there s a lot...

Let's say I have a lot of thoughts and a lot of them aren't good, so let's get into it. This video is brought to you by my patreon, so I made a patreon because there were a lot of things I wanted to talk about. which didn't really fit into the main channel so this video ended up being a lot longer than I thought and I kind of ranted about why I hate Corey Matthews so if you want to watch me complain about Corey Matthews. and talks a little bit more about the characters in depth then you can check out that video on my patreon so Girl Meets World is a sequel series to the 90's sitcom Boy Meets World which was also made by Disney boy me

world

lasted seven seasons and continued.

Cory Matthews and his family and friends as they navigate a lot of different issues growing up. Like I said before, I've never seen Boy Meets World, to be honest I don't think I'd heard of this show before Girl Meets. World, but that's honestly because I don't watch a lot of '90s sitcoms, but while watching Girl Meets World I realized that this show relied heavily on its association with being a sequel to Boy Meets World, like most unnecessary Hollywood sequels, there are countless callback references and In the illusions of the original series, some strange old character from a '90s show appears who makes a guest appearance to the sound of deafening cheers from the audience.
everything wrong with girl meets world there s a lot
Cory, what worries me, what is there to worry about? Shaie, Minkus and honestly, it was like that. It's so funny watching this show because every time they did a callback to the show or had an old character come in as a guest, I had no context for it, but I realized it was a callback just because of how harsh it was. . many of them were Mr. Matthews. Yes, my mother greets me. I will never come again. It's as if the writers winked at the camera and remembered that they saw what we did there, which they did so often that it felt so self-indulgent and self-indulgent. congratulations because the creatives Boy Meets were Michael Jacobs also created the sequel Girl Meets World many times the show seems like it only exists as a reminder of how great Boy Meets World was because this show premiered in 2014, I don't know how. a lot of kids who watched it would have seen boy me world which came out in 1992 so i guess those jokes were mainly for the parents but they do it so often it makes the show feel so insecure like they don't believe in the new material from the show enough that they have to keep making references to the old show to remind the audience of the good old days.
I think at one point or another all of the main characters and sometimes even the recurring characters of Boy Meets World made a guest appearance on this show, so it just made it seem like the world of

girl

me as a show was incapable of be his own thing and it just puts him in this position where he's always living in his predecessor's shadow multiple times throughout the show. St up plays boy clips and scenes. better and honestly those clips were what made me realize that boy me world was a much better show as a kid.
Not the first time this show made me laugh was when they played a clip from Boy Meets World, so after finishing the show I decided to go back and watch a couple episodes of Boy Meets World for the first time and OMG Girl Meets World it's just a horrible show compared to it. I was actually surprised that the same person was able to make these two shows. Because of how huge the quality is, O's World was really fun and charming, and a lot of the problems I had with the Mees World girl, which we'll talk about later in this video, aren't here, but also while watching A couple of episodes in I realized how many ideas, plot lines, and even characterization Girl Me World borrowed from this show to the point where Girl Meets World feels like a cheap knock-off copy of something much bigger and just for highlight how often they borrow from the original, let's break it down. in girl me's World Cory Matthews, who was the star of boy me's World, married his childhood sweetheart, Ainga, and is now the father of two children, Riley and Auggie Matthews.
Cory learns a lot about growing up in the world around him from his friends' family and mainly from his teacher, Mr. Feni, so naturally in the sequel, Cory is a teacher who teaches his daughter and all his friends lessons. of really important life. Cory's best friend is Sean, who comes from a troubled home and a broken family and is a little tougher than our protagonist and they feed off each other, one motivating the other to be good and the other motivating the other to take more risks. Then of course there's that Oddball character who is super smart for his age and seems a bit devilish, oh and who could forget him? protracted love triangle that went on too long, the show tries too hard to echo the old days and just makes it seem like what we're meant to see now isn't good or interesting enough. on its own and then what it adds to the fact that the connection they want you to make is with a much better show when at some point you have to ask yourself why bother watching the inferior copy, there are so many reasons why this sequel is much worse than the original, probably the most obvious being the tone.
This series has a serious tonal problem. The show whips you around and takes you from unfunny joke to serious trouble in Mill seconds, so the world of me tackled serious stuff too. From time to time, there are episodes dealing with sexual assault, child abuse, underage drinking, but Mew Boy also had to deal with serious issues being a sitcom, they actually received a lot of pushback from the network. for introducing such serious themes into a comedy, but they did it in such a way that it seemed like we were moving smoothly from one tone to the next, the jokes never undermined the seriousness of what was being addressed and the intensity of the subject matter never at all absorbed the levity of an episode that We were able to contain both feelings at the same time, but in Girl Meat's World it feels like whiplash when we go from loud laughter to a character speaking in a serious tone about the repercussions of bullying and that makes it very difficult.
To take anything they say seriously, take for example this scene, in the episode the girl

meets

her father. Riley wants to go to his first school dance, which is the same night as a family trip to the Cyclone they always take, but Riley wants to go. the dance and asks her mom for advice with Peña because she thinks she will give her better advice on things like makeup and boys than her dad and of course Cory gets upset about this and refuses to let Riley go to the dance because he is a An 11 year old boy attached to the body of a 30 year old man.
I completely understand. Sorry, you'll have to miss the dance. Try again. Sorry, you'll have to miss the dance. It's not the same as them. do the overbearing dad show with Cory, which is honestly very annoying in this episode, however, Cory hands back a test to the students and then this happens Mr. Fle, a 700 number, hooray, you're quite something Standard for Disney Channel comedy, yes lady, you failed me, why not? We talked about this after class, wait, where's the laugh song? What is there to talk about? You failed me, you think I'm a failure. There's nothing more you can teach me.
What the hell just happened? Is this a bit? They are real at this moment what you mean I lost them both Maya don't leave here now if you are confused by the sudden and unexpected change in tone you are not the only one this is something that affects all the characters in the series It will pass from telling a story joke to launch into a melodramatic monologue in the span of milliseconds and it's so embarrassing to watch. Can we talk about how ridiculous this all is? As if this isn't even a serious problem. M is so upset that she fails a test and blames Corey for failing her and then just walks out of class like now the world of boy me is very similar in tone to the world of girl me, it can also be very melodramatic at times but overall at least in the episodes.
From what I've seen, I feel like they did a really good job of balancing comedy and more serious nuances for comparison, let's look at this scene from Boy Meets World, our study of feudalism. Today I would like to focus on the surf life, Mr. Hunter. don't you, don't you, what in this episode, Cory and his best Shawn started drinking alcohol and Shawn continues drinking alcohol, getting drunk and acting in a very unpredictable way, was this show's attempt to address underage drinking. age, see in this scene. It starts off comically, but there's an undercurrent of discomfort. Sea is normally frank, but he behaves in a very different way than we are used to, so the audience realizes that something is

wrong

and slowly it develops as we realize that what is What's happening is that Sean is drunk. in class and is acting very sporadically, this continues as the seriousness of the situation regarding alcoholism in Sean's family becomes clear to us with brief moments of levity interwoven okay, we agreed to stop drinking, obviously you don't have to do.
Do you think that's what it's about? I wonder and by the way it turns out he was a lovable drunk, you should have seen me. The comedy does not take away the seriousness of the situation. It's like a little respite from the intensity of the scene. Neither this. the intensity comes out of nowhere it makes me feel good hello hello this thing is on I have no problem okay maybe we don't have to talk about this in front of everyone let's just go out into the room it starts little by little and builds up so the audience can anticipate when something intense is about to happen rather than coming out of nowhere, these tonal inconsistencies and quick jumps honestly make it difficult to really enjoy the girls' world - not only do they thoroughly explain their jokes to us, there are jokes in The World from Girl Meet I think it could work and even pass as funny by Disney Channel standards, but it's like the show doesn't think we're smart enough to understand the joke, so they try to explain it to us and help us predict it.
By the time the joke arrives, 2 minutes of preparation have passed and the joke isn't even funny anymore. Take this scene, for example. So, based on the preparation, we can tell what is about to happen. I would like to hear about the beautiful flower. I will do that. tell you about the beautiful flower it's a clown flower every time I feel sad in this world I look at the flower and it makes me happy I would like to be happy Riley is naive she doesn't understand that this CL is about to make a joke with her by making the flower to spray her with water, so she really wants to smell the flower even though Maya tells her it's not a good idea, it's not exactly hidden on the top shelf of Comedy, but it's whatever, to Disney Channel Who cares, but instead of just letting the joke play out, they drag this out for so long.
This joke, if you can call it one, lasts more than a minute and makes

everything

less effective. Look at the pretty flower. Is she for real? I try, I try and I try I will do it from here you won't have to see this I want to see the pretty flower she is like a gift yes just do it this flower is of the caraci species on your face where is it from where is it from yes I just don't have the heart she deserves, do it in China, look closer, here we go or this scene when she wakes up, oh so the joke is that Maya always says that to Lucas to make fun of the fact that she's from Texas. natural cornicopia of the Earth's bounty, have you ever heard me talk?
It's supposed to be funny to realize that someone from Texas actually does this, but instead of just making the joke, they drag it out for over a minute. WhichI know it's early, but my life is complete. Well, thank you, thank you, it's very tedious. I think the reason the jokes in this show go on so long is to increase the running time. I suspect that sometimes they may not have enough material to fill the running time, so they just beat them. jokes to death now let's look at a joke from Boy Meets World so the pale escape is lost in the sky yes, we could do that in front of the class, but before we do that, could you take a huge baseball bat and hit me?
The head is fast, effective and really fun. I also chose this scene because they played this clip as a flashback in the Girl Meats World episode and I'm kidding. No, this was the first time I laughed watching the show. I hope you enjoyed it because it only gets worse from here. I was actually going to rank them from least protic to most predictable, but it became very complicated trying to decide which. Of these were worse, so in no particular order, here are some of the practical plot lines in Girl Me World. Let's start with the episode God's Not Dead, so in this episode Maya finds a $5 bill on the ground and decides to keep it, but oh rally condemns him. her and say something bad to do and what would God think of this give him back this is my only source of income read what Maya says In God We Trust oh brother this guy sucks because everyone knows that keeping the money you found on the floor is one of the seven deadly sins punishable by eternal damnation, so of course, because the show is pretentious, the entire episode will revolve around convincing non-believers like Maya and Farle that God is real and that they should repent.
The funny thing about this episode is that it pretends to be taking a very neutral stance and that's just presenting both sides of the argument, but the episode is very clearly biased. The robot literally revolves around Auggie talking to a dead Russian lady. In the sky, can you see? Me, from up there, how many fingers do I have holding something that we have never seen him do? Again, by the way, and of course, bad Maya is an atheist and good Ailey believes in God, you need to believe in things that I could have. My life, honey, Dory is yours, so you're saying it's easier to believe when things are going well, things are going well.
I just got 10 dollars and this new bag. I just left you, so why don't you believe in anything? Yes, completely subtle. without bias of any kind, Cory gives the class a belief task because of course he does and the group has to pair up to research Jonah Fark and Thomas Jefferson, which they like why Thomas Jefferson might have chosen to any other, but like most American history textbooks. This episode tells a cleaner version of Thomas Jefferson, no need to really talk about all things slave, he was just a great man who stood by what he believed in, like the Declaration of Independence, where everyone is believed to be equal. before God.
Well, not all of them, just the ones that really matter, so I just want to chime in here and say that in retrospect, I don't think he explained it to me well. I'm not saying we shouldn't learn about Thomas Jefferson because he owned slaves. I just felt that Jefferson didn't exemplify the message they were trying to convey about belief in the same way that Jon de Arco did because Jefferson's belief that all men are created equal was inconsistent with the way he actually lived because he literally owned people, that's all. So Maya works with Riley and Farco works with Lucas.
Riley spends the entire time trying to convince Maya that she believes something and Farco tries to introduce logic into Lucas' belief. They finally decide that they need to change for better results, but when Lucas and R pair up. They realize that because they both believe in the same things, they don't challenge each other and well, Maya just misses Riley, so they switch again this time. Riley with Farle and Lucas with Maya are more capable of working together, but they still bought heads. about belief, but why did my father assign the name Jefferson? I understand that he wrote the Declaration of Independence.
He said we consider these truths to be self-evident. What he wants us to know is that believing in something is the most obvious thing. For me, no, a scientist needs to hold things under a microscope. Trust that that is the only way to truly understand what is in front of you. Have you ever thought that when you look through a microscope you miss the bigger picture? No, and the episode goes completely off the rails from there. So Farle doesn't believe in God and he's pretty much the only person in the entire episode with that point of view.
Maya Moro just doesn't care either way. I would say she seems more agnostic, she could go either way, but Farle is a man of science. he's firmly portrayed as an atheist and oh boy, the episode punishes him for that, they spend an entire sequence with Corey Lucas and Riley practically criticizing Farle for not believing in God Farle. I thought that men of science were open to new discoveries. Look people, it's simple. Seeing is believing so don't think Jonar heard God's voice first you're going to have to prove God to me okay okay I'm right or okay actually you're going to take a deep breath farle oh brother this guy sucks they make these really vague analogies where someone says " I don't believe in God because I can't see him" and then the religious person says "you can't see" that means he doesn't exist and it's just not a compelling or compelling argument in any sense, but the religious person always looks so smug and happy with themselves. after he just got owned by an atheist and I think that's why this episode fails so spectacularly because the lesson they're trying to impart is that people should be free. believe what they want, but farle, the only firm non-believer in the episode is never allowed to just not believe in God, it's never presented as righteous, probably first in a street, probably even Maya, who is quite ambivalent about it, understands it.
The entire belief is described as a bad person for taking a $5 bill that she found on the ground and implying that if she believed in God she would do the right thing, which would be to leave the $5 bill on the ground, I guess, I guess this is why shows that the logic of entering heaven depends largely on how much loose change you can resist picking up off the streets. The episode spends the entire third act making Farco look stupid for not believing in God. Cory goes on and on about why he believes God exists. It's real, it's never just Cory believing in God and explaining why he does.
He presents himself this way to try to convince Farle and, by extension, the audience of young preteens, to also believe in God. What's in apartment buildings. I can't see those people, families, mothers. parents, children and beyond that, the sky, the stars, the entire universe,

everything

, each person, each child, everything that is out there, everything we see and do not see, all these brilliant elements of a force that unite I like to think of that as a refracted part of God. I would also like to point out here that while it is not explicitly said that believing in God in this episode is about being a Christian, it is not just about believing in a god, they want Farles believe in the god.
I could almost forgive the episode. If instead of pretending to be a balanced discussion about belief, they just leaned towards the indoctrination angle because after doing all that speech the episode ends with this: I love you just the way you are and I don't want you to take a vacation with me again. and I will never try to force you to do anything. I said a prayer last night. I can tell you? Don't pretend it's all religious tolerance when your episode of religious tolerance ends with one of your non-believers becoming a believer and all. By being described as a good thing, the episode is so clearly skewed that one belief is

wrong

and the other is right, but it still tries to pretend that it's okay for people to believe whatever they want.
It is also very interesting to me that the secular company Disney approved. This episode I don't think I've ever seen a more overtly religious episode on the channel. I can't believe this was broadcast for the most part. The Disney Channel has always been pseudo-Christian. There are jokes about God on their shows. all the time mostly for comedic effect, but I've never seen an episode on Disney Channel so blatantly trying to indoctrinate kids into Christianity, it's crazy and believe it or not, it's not even the worst thing the show has ever done. Also I just want to say that I don't think believing in God is a bad thing, the only problem I really have with this is that they never allow Farle to not believe in God, it is never presented in a way where we believe in one thing over another .
Well the episode clearly says that not believing in God is bad and believing in God is good, this isn't about tolerance at all, it's about making sure you believe in the right thing, almost the moment I announced what I was going to do. a video about the world of Girl Meet. I received a lot of comments about the infamous autism episode. This episode seems to be legendary among the fandom as one of the most poorly handled topics the show has ever touched on, so watching the show I was on the lookout. because you know how bad it could really be, so in this episode the students took an IQ test and Farle scored in the high percentile for geniuses.
Farle is officially a genius. His family and friends celebrate Farl's official entry as a genius and Farle runs more tests to indicate how much smarter than his sentences he really is, the test results, however, suspect that Farco may be on the autism spectrum and his Friends aren't exactly thrilled with the idea that Farco might be autistic. The group of friends, especially Maya, is very distraught about this. They want to see if I have autism, no, let's tell them no. Maybe he has a type of autism called Asperger's syndrome, right? They did their best to convince themselves and brag that he's not even artistic.
Although Farle seems to have made peace with the possibility that he eventually is, although we discover that Farle is not autistic, but rather his arch-nemesis love interest, Smackle, is disappointed that Farle was not autistic because it meant they were less alike, but All of his friends seemed relieved that Farle wasn't, so there's this weird Paradigm part in the episode because the cast's reaction to Farco possibly being in the Specter was so overtly negative. They were in denial, clearly they didn't want him to be autistic. you don't do anything awkward, well that's something you do when you're going to stop making him stop making those limited interests in a topic, even if the people he's talking to don't have a shared interest. farle we are interested in everything you are interested in Belgium 1831 stop doing that he is going to stop doing that guys whatever it is I have it and I need you to let it be okay some people with Asperger's don't feel comfortable being touched or receiving affection they may have difficulty fully understanding the emotion or love Jack check checky check check F What are you talking about?
You've loved Riley and me since the day we met, you married us, it wasn't real and when it was revealed that he wasn't Everyone was relieved that Smackle, who we learn about in this episode, is actually autistic, they try not to make her feel left out or different and they even said they could be friends. Smackle and Farus start dating in this episode after she trusts them both. He and her group of friends hug her and assure her that being autistic is okay. You'd have good friends here, but I'm not good at that, yeah, but maybe we would be if you were somewhere where you had good friends.
It wouldn't be that difficult, so why the two such different reactions? Well, I think they wanted the overall lesson of this episode to be to raise awareness about the Asbergers and destigmatize them, but the execution wasn't great because it's very conflicting that the friend The group hated the idea of Faral being artistic, but accepted and reaffirmed to Smackle and I think one of the reasons for this is that Smackle at the time was not a main cast member so they had no problem making his character artistic and that wasn't a bad thing. a sense that she's disposable, so doing that to her character was less risky.
Farle is a main character, so honestly, not making him artistic feels like a cheap cop, they didn't want to change the status quo. I really think they should have left Farle alone. autistic I think it would have allowed the message to get across much better if Farle, being a main cast member, was actually autistic. I think it would have done a lot to destigmatize autism, especially if the characters never mentioned it in future episodes. Parco would simply be a normal character who turned out to be autistic. I also think that autism has dominated much of modern media to the point where many people's idea of how artistic people behave is heavily skewed toward a singular archetype, the lonely, weird, reclusive genius type.
Obviously, autism doesn't always show up this way with people in the world.spectrum, but in modern media, autism is only seen one way and to a certain extent, Farle really plays into this stereotype, especially in the first season, but Farl's characterization has changed a lot, especially at that point in the show. , so I think just making Farle artistic would also go a long way toward changing people's IDE of what art looks like, but the writers are too Carly to really commit to the idea and the show's characters say that if Farle were artistic, it wouldn't change how they felt about him, but that clearly doesn't seem to be the case.
His reaction to the simple possibility that Farco was autistic was crazy. I think they had a very good opportunity to really do what they felt. they were doing it but they just completely failed it could have even fit perfectly into listening to the episode about not letting a label define having farco being autistic but not having his autism define it or be what makes farle farle could have been a really powerful message that's why there's something so pretentious and arrogant about this show that it feels like it's doing a lot when it actually doesn't say anything at all insists on Japan sh FL what insists on Japan what does that mean and the things that what he says is actually very damaging can you believe this show made a communist episode and they called the episode Girl Meets Communism Riley, watch this and choose your next words very carefully comrades I swear allegiance?comrades by John Quincy Adams unite lightning thunder Darkness body rabbits from each according to their ability to each according to their need wao we are cies it works yes, there are several moments of my life past in this show that I will never return like this in In this episode, The Gang is celebrating a honor court to dole out punishments to students who misbehave, and for some reason the court is being overseen by Corey because of course it is, and Lucas and Riley, among others, are on the jury.
Maya and Farle appeared in court. because Maya cheated on Farle during one of her tests, Riley wants to give Maya special treatment and let her off the hook arguing that by sharing Farl's answer, Maya was able to learn what the point of testing is in the first place, cheating is a word that Do you know what else is a shared word? That little analogy of Maya sharing farus answers SP in a whole debate about the mer of communism with Maya Riley and farle becoming communists to prove that sharing resources is the way to go, but you know who hates communism, Corey.
So for this episode, Corey is a red-blooded American and thinks capitalism is the nation's saving grace. Riley, you're not going to find a lawyer to defeat democracy. I mean, not even if you found some hyper-co-competitive, freak-of-nature super-lawyer. Sorry, you had to see this, come on, he maintains that communism strips people of their identities, they are no longer individuals, they are just part of a whole and have to think and act similarly, yes, well, they certainly look as if they all were. Now we're in the same little group, so what if maybe we dress a little alike and maybe some of my study methods have rubbed off on him?
You know, Farl's methods, Dad, what's going on here? It's just what you wanted. Riley, Communism, Farle shares her knowledge with Maya. literally the analogy doesn't really make any sense, but also this episode feels like the Red Scare episode, this just feels like American propaganda and indoctrination and it's for the best because the episode is 100% staunchly anti-communist, you can see what it achieves a what is that? You say now how do we get 100% and get a seat? Because when you do everything right but you don't do it yourself, it makes you an average three is a c.
Look at you, you're all the same. You are average, you are common and I think there is already a lot of misinformation about what communism is. I think a lot of people couldn't even define the word if you asked them, but we hear it a lot, especially in American politics, a lot of times it's an insult. to a politician you don't like and who is probably more on the left side of politics. All of that actually stems from the Red Scare and McCarthyism in the 1950s, a period in American history when American politicians were falsely accused of being communist spies. which would often lead to them losing their jobs and being blacklisted as if there was a complete witch hunt for communists, then we had the Cold War and the Cuban Missile Crisis, so much of the politics America is inundated with images and rhetoric about how harmful communism is. what it is and how it is a threat to the American way of life and I think it's very irresponsible for this show to feed into that because the understanding that a lot of people have of what communism is like is not even really rooted in Marxism, it's like the communist hybrid pseudocapitalist.
The political structures of countries like China, countries like Cuba, China and Russia, that had communist political parties, did not practice the type of communism that Marx described, it was not a political structure where the State no longer existed and the means of production were controlled. For the state. because those countries were also authoritarian, there were groups of people who wanted to keep power for themselves, so any opposition to the political party was crushed many times using violence, also because those countries were authoritarian, decisions were made in the name of the population for anything. the government thought it was best, the public had a lot to say and a lot of people died and starved under those rules, so the type of communism that this show is trying to warn people about is just this thing and I felt like it was So. really irresponsible for the show to highlight the failures of communism but none of the failures of capitalism people didn't want to all be equal without incentives there is no motivation without motivation there is no advancement in a truly free society we share the best parts of ourselves without cheating because we learn who we are individually how hyperindividualism breeds and fosters inequality poverty hoarding wealth inequality none of that was discussed Cory never talked about how not treating everyone equally leads to a lot of harm and a lot of people being taken advantage of and it was very frustrating in this episode because one of the explanations for communism wasn't correct, but it's also like Yeah, capitalism without any questioning in the girls' world communism, it's when everyone wears the same clothes and acts exactly the same.
I just don't understand why they would make an episode like this and I can't believe Disney aired this and this analogy at the end about why not being an individual is bad because your grade is divided into three, it didn't make sense if Maya Riley and Farle were no longer They are individuals but an entity, wouldn't they share the qualification and two? An a/3 is not a C. That's an F. How are you allowed to teach at this school? He doesn't know what communism is. It hardly teaches history. and I can't even do math anyway, this episode was crazy and you know, at the time I thought this show is ridiculous and unhinged, but when I got to this episode I thought, oh, this show is really dangerous and I don't even try be dramatic.
The show in trying to teach lessons gets it dangerously wrong to the point that I would not recommend this show to children. I would go so far as to say that this program is dangerous for children. They literally had an entire propaganda episode mid-season. I walked away like it was nothing, so I feel like there have always been discussions on the internet about age gaps and how problematic they are, and I think there definitely needs to be a nuanced conversation about predatory age gaps without restricting the freedoms of women and at the same time coercion. and autonomy can coexist.
I think our conversations about age differences should focus on older people praying for people. For me personally, if someone is 25 or older, they could do it with an 80-year-old man for all I care, but that's the way it is. You're already older, but a 15 year old, an 18 year old, a high school senior, a high school senior, a high school freshman, dating someone who's going to college, it's weird, so let's talk about it, so Josh is the little brother. by Corey, also appeared on Boy Meets World. There was a whole plot surrounding the pregnancy and his birth and it reappears in Girl Meets World.
Fun fact in the series finale of Boy Meets World. Josh is considerably superior and is played by the Creator. Son, I think they only did that so they could get his son there, but in the girl's world, he's played by another actor. Josh makes his first appearance in season 1, where it's very clear that Maya has a crush on him, look at all these kids, that's how it was. It wasn't long ago that you had children in the house, yes, just this morning, wasn't it? Dad, oh yeah, yeah, boy, that's my uncle Maya, sweet, I'd be your aunt.
Everyone seems to be aware of more Crush, but no one treats it as a big problem. deal that included Josh in the first season. I felt like they had the most normal approach to this relationship. There was no underlying subtext that it was okay for Maya and Josh to date. The relationship was described as one-sided because Maya was truly in love. Josh and Josh like Maya as a sister, she is his niece's best friend so they get along well and he is very nice to her, but he also constantly reminds her that her Crush will not be reciprocated because he is 3 years older than her and it would be very inappropriate.
I'll go to the party with you Josh is still too old for emaya 3 years What is three years in the story of Love? They found a caveman for Prince, a man and a woman, they didn't know how old they were, all the scientists could say was that they were holding hands, you know why that was all that mattered, well Maya keeps looking at me , oh, you know, what's really important is that I have my first appointment with my campus advisor downstairs, so at that point it was a pretty normal interaction. Maya had a small crush and no one encouraged her to pursue it.
Kids have crushes on older people all the time, so I feel like their dynamic at the time was okay, especially because at the time my crushes were just played for laughs, especially in that first episode, it seems like everyone is all in. We partnered except for a little bit of us, huh, I could choose you or I could choose you or I could choose you or I could choose you yeah, well, you see you represent the task and it's not fun while you're so handsome it makes my eyes hurt, okay? This is what I'm going to do I'm going to be the game show host, this is what I'm going to do because they stand up and move with their partner, oh boy I never got the impression that this relationship was going to be taken in Serious. or even that Maya was madly in love with him, you know, it just seemed like a little crush, now it's important to note that in the first season, May is 14 and Joshh is 17, he's a junior in high school and she's still He is in high school.
It's not okay with school that they're dating, but again at that point it's all pretty clear and everything changes later in the season, where May is much more flirtatious with Josh, it's out of the question. Laughter. Maya's attraction to Josh is portrayed as something. Really seriously, this is the first time the show has asked us to consider the real possibility of these characters dating and it's weird because Josh doesn't reciprocate Maya's feelings by saying he's too old for her. Maya says she is only 3 years old. It's not a big deal, but then the episode punishes Josh for rejecting May's advances.
In the episode, she

meets

a girl who is in college and who happens to be 3 years older than him, she rejects him saying that she is too old for him and he says. a 3 year age difference is no big deal Sophie Sophie um I thought we connected pretty well I'm going to be junior junior I'm a couple of years older than you, right? Yeah, what's three years? Do you think three years matters? at our age, yes I do, the episode hints that Jos should date Maya by turning the tables on her and showing her how she feels when someone rejects him just for being a stupid three year old.
Gap, what did he wear that three years older thing? you, uh, yeah, yeah, I really tried hard oh, I'm sure I couldn't relate to your pain, cavemen, footprints, holding hands, it hurts, doesn't it a little? Yeah, how do you handle it? Well, I have this. dungeon of sadness oh yeah, yeah, you got me, oh yeah, you and a whole flock of dancers and it was crazy to realize that this show was really going to make this something that's not just a joke anymore, they actually want to make A story about Josh corresponds to Maya's feelings even though they continually acknowledge how inappropriate it is because it's not even that they don't know the age gap is problematic, they constantly acknowledge it and it's pretty much the only reason Josh gives us about why you can do it.
They don't date Maya, but choose to ignore it and play with the idea that this would actually be a good thing.and oh, it gets a lot worse from here because by season 2 they completely throw out any doubts about Maya Josh and Josh's relationship completely leaning into the idea of them dating in season two. There is an episode where Josh finds out that he has been accepted to New York University, which means that he will be moving to New York to go to college. Maya is trying to act calm and be more. The TFO is essentially trying. seem more mature for her age so that Josh will notice her and consider dating her and somehow it works hey family, yeah hi, I don't care about my brother, my brother, so Riley, shouldn't we go to school now since there is nothing? here for me, of any interest, sure, come on, good luck Josh, yeah, I don't care, is it just me or is there a new maturity in Maya that I haven't seen before.
I find it intriguing, so they're going full speed ahead with this. The idea and program no longer highlights the problematic age gap. The problem is no longer that Maya is too young for Josh. Now the description is that Josh isn't taking Maya and her feelings seriously and that's a bad thing, so Josh is going to a college party. that night to get a feel for school and Maya and Riley sneak out to go to the party to keep Josh from falling in love with some mature college girl Maya Riley, you know these girls Josh, how's high school going?
Oh, they can't be here. Josh, you're not kidding, Riley, where do you think you need to go? I just want to point something out here: that guy isn't considerably older than Josh, he's probably a year older, and the show highlights how inappropriate it is for him to flirt. Maya and Riley because they're in high school and he's in college, but they stopped doing that with Maya and Josh, they don't want the audience to think about Maya Jos' relationship the same way that character flirting with a high school girl . There has to be a difference because the show wants you to ship these characters, even if they never do, they want you to think they could move on so they no longer highlight how Maya and Josh's age difference is inappropriate and there are so many ways that they help the audience get along with the ship.
The other characters in this episode berate Josh for not reciprocating Maya's feelings. If you dont do it. You don't even really know me. Yes you're right. Don't know. pay attention to anything you do I don't know that you drive from Philadelphia to New York without even looking to see if you have an n just so you can open your acceptance letter in front of your older brother because you love him and you want to be proud of yourself and I see the way you are with Augie, a little boy who looks up to you, who you always have time for and I know that even if you prefer to stay here with these girls, you will walk me home CU, that's the kind of person you are.
Like you, friend, what's wrong with you? The episode really wants you to be okay with this. They want you to feel comfortable putting these characters together. Other characters on the show suggest that Maya wait until she is in college to date. They called you. stupid for not liking Maya she's 3 years younger than me sit down yeah so Maya's Crush isn't a joke anymore she's really in love with Josh and Josh needs to change the way he looks at her and realize that she She is much more mature than him. Initially I thought there was something about a lot of these episodes that seemed very fanfiction to me, but if you told me this episode was written on a watpad by Maya Jos submitters, I'd believe you.
I think this was just a really intentional effort on the part of the show. really highlight the shipping culture among fans because in season 1 they made sure to say how inappropriate it would be for Maya Josh to date when Maya Cur was just being played for Risas if they now want fans to ship these characters. so they have to do it right, so you guys can't be encouraged to make up ship names if the subtext of the show tells you that's wrong, you have to destigmatize this relationship and that's why there's this reframing of this relationship. where it's not about a problematic age gap, it's about Josh's inability to see more in Maya, he's 17 and you're 14, yeah that might seem like a really big age gap now but here in college We learn really difficult math, yeah, and when you get there. here you will be 18 and he will be 21 and the good news is that he will be smarter because he will be in college and he may be smart enough to look at you differently his refusal to take her seriously and that If he is able to do it then would be a good thing and that's all intentional so that you no longer feel guilty for saying you want these two characters together so when we get to season 3, which is basically the season of the ship they actually play on. that any hint that Maya and Josh are together is met with deafening applause from the audience.
I'm done playing. I want to talk to you, who, Josh, why did you let me hold your hand all this time and look, this is it? fiction, so I don't necessarily think this is a big deal. I don't think it's that problematic for them to put these characters together because this isn't real life, they're not real people, but I think it's funny that in the beginning they said that this would just be for jokes and that it would be totally inappropriate for this to happen and Maya was ultimately told to wait until she was older to date Josh in season 3.
Maya and Josh's relationship had a significant impact. development during the love triangle story Maya and Josh have a talk where he admits that he likes her, he finally reciprocates her feelings and tells her that they should wait and play the long game until she is old enough to date him . I like you Josh, it's you I like. I like you too and I would never want you to not be in my life, so how about we try this boyfriend and girlfriend right now without boyfriend and girlfriend? Eventually you won't say no, you have to say something.
I will play the long game. game live your life I'll live my life I know you're out there and so am I and I'm not trying to be hyperbolic but that's not grooming like telling an underage girl that dating right now would be bad and then we should wait until you're of age more socially acceptable for us to date is that, just like it's not the textbook definition of grooming, they reaffirmed that they're basically going to wait until it's not illegal for them to date, you know? What so many fans of the show really like about this relationship.
The biggest pushback I see in this argument is that well, the show never forced them to do anything, so it's fine, it's like yeah, but by doing that, Disney is saying that grooming is fine, I think. They should have left this ship alone, let the fans make this ship in their heads and you could also play with Maya's Crush for Josh as a joke, like it would have been okay. I just think it's really strange that they made this a But as we briefly discussed before, one of the most important components of Girl Meets World is the shipping culture, the show is deeply attuned to ATT and the Phantom and who fans want to see together and they always play with that to create Buzz throughout the show. and of course the biggest ship in the series is the triangle, so since Lucas's first appearance in the pilot episode, the show has always hinted that Lucas is with Riley and Lucas is with Maya, and fans of the show They are also deeply involved in these relationships.
We know that shipping culture is new, you'll find it in almost every fandom, but the idea of who will she be with, who will choose this impossible choice that a character has to make between two very real candidates is something we've been seeing. much more. I'd like to think we have Twilight to thank that Team Jacob and Team Edward Fiasco of the late 2000s and early 2010s really got us to this point, so when Lucas was introduced in this series, he was firmly introduced as Riley's love interest. Lucas first appeared in the pilot episode when Riley and Maya were on their way to school and saw this cute boy on the train.
Riley immediately fell in love with Lucas and thought he was very cute and Maya tried to push Riley to make a move but she was too scared and shy to do so so Maya intervened and had a full conversation with Lucas where she met him and She broke up with him in the span of a minute. Hello, I'm Maya, you. You're so cute we should go out someday you make me happy you're not paying enough attention to me this isn't working it's you not me we can still be friends without really paving the way for Riley to finally make her move but Riley was still too shy to do anything so that Maya had to literally push her into Lucas's arms.
Bring me, so let's not think. Hello, we were just talking about you. You used to go out with my friend Maya. I'm Lucas, I love and Lucas. he just served to be Riley's love interest, especially at the time his character was pretty one dimensional, he wasn't fully developed, he was really just there to serve the purpose of highlighting how Riley is growing, he's the first guy she ever met. Riley actually had feelings for her first crush, which symbolizes her coming of age story, so in the next episode, Riley and Lucas developed more in their relationship, still on a fairly superficial level, there really isn't much development. in that sense. they're just texting talking to each other and then in the last part of the episode they go to the library where they finally start having real conversations and really getting to know each other.
Lucas confides in Riley about his dream of becoming a vet and it's the first time they really seem to be getting to know each other Riley Lucas I've never told anyone this before yeah I think I'd like to be a vet one day that's cool too. I gave them this beautiful Palamino that I would show them. her picture but I don't have my phone okay just keep talking so the show really seems like it was hinting at the fact that Riley and Lucas were meant to be together, that this was going to be the ship of the series, but then it came out . out of nowhere Maya and Lucas started flirting, it kills me that I can't reach you, I'm sorry ma'am, and that kind of flirting intensified as the season went on and I honestly felt like Maya and Lucas had more chemistry than Riley and Lucas.
Just something about their Dynamic felt more natural, it didn't seem as forced or awkward and it was the first time the writers introduced this idea that Maya was a real potential threat to Lucas Riley's relationship, but I was still pretty confused about it. why they introduced this idea I don't know, it just seemed like it came out of nowhere to the point where I thought: how is Riley okay with them just openly flirting in front of her? Then there was an episode where they were pretending. a play that Rome and Juliet were doing and this was the first opportunity for Riley and Lucas to share a kiss.
Farle jumped in and stole the moment from Lucas. Yes, I saw everything. I can't believe that little guy stole my moment again, you thought. that was your moment, no, oh, my moment will be my moment, so that set the tone of their relationship. Riley really likes Lucas. Lucas also apparently reciprocates Riley's feelings, but neither of them are really at the point where they're ready to act on them. For practically the rest of the season there was no further development in that romantic aspect of their relationship, so nothing happened in that sense until the end of the season, when Lucas finally played Riley on the date, well, actually, Riley wanted to go to the dance. with Lucas but I was afraid to invite him so Maya asked Lucas out first just to show him how easy it was hey Ranger Rick hey another one do you want to go out with me do you want to take me to the movies and put our hands in the popcorn at the same time and see what's up or what's okay, you and me because I don't care and man, were they really messing with Maya's ship?
Lucas at this point Lucas really wants to go to the dance with Maya, but first he wants to get his parents' permission. Cory agrees to allow Riley to go to the dance on the condition that it is a double date, which means Maya would have to go to the dance as well. dance with Farle on his way to the dance. Maya becomes distraught because Josh does not reciprocate her feelings. so R tries to comfort her on the way there, but Maya pushes her to be with Lucas and they share a kiss at the end of the episode, you know, those moments we were talking about that we're going to remember forever, yeah, and sort of .
Nothing happens with this relationship until season 2 where they finally confront each other about how to define their relationship, whether they are not dating or if they are just going to be friends, the rest of the school is also very invested in their relationship and how they do it. will define, whether they'll actually start dating or not, is a not-so-subtle nod to the real-life fandom and how hungry they were for this ship, so it forces Riley and Lucas to sit down and try to figure it out. They didn't know what their relationship was going to be like, but when they started dating they realized that it was very difficult to talk to each other and that the pressure of being in a relationship made them very uncomfortable, so they decidedbreak up and just be friends and that made it a lot easier for them to interact and be together, then there was a big development where one of Lucas's old friends from Texas started going to Z school, somehow revealing a bit of Lucas's backstory and how there was a really troubled past and this Riley guy was angry because one he kept this supposed dark secret from her and two, she was now doubting if the first guy she really liked was worth it in the first place. place, tell me what you did, nothing is. bad, but we discover that Lucas' dark past is essentially that he has an uncontrollable anger problem and would get into fights trying to defend his friends.
I couldn't help but notice your pointy boots in Texas, we appreciate a nice pointy boot they can fit into. a very quick fight unless someone knows how to put their heel on the soft bar where all the toes are. I'm sure you like the punch, except I have both wrists and I'm as strong as a horse. I don't even work on it, I'm just someone who gives me a chair, which is just crazy, so anyway, after that happens, there was no significant development in any of these relationships, there would be some flirting here and there, especially between Maya and Lucas, but nothing really substantial, then there was this episode where for some reason a lot of people felt that Maya and Lucas were a better couple than Maya and Riley, so Maya and Lucas were voted as the best couple even though they didn't really like each other or not At least admit that we really like each other and this, understandably, really frustrates Riley.
Riley is feeling very insecure about the whole situation, so to appease the gathering and put them at ease, Maya decides to act like R. So there was this misplaced resolution where In the Heat of the. Moment Maya realizes that the reason why she pretends to be Riley likes Lucas is because she likes Lucas as a brother to Lucas you are a very sweet boy that's why I always liked you ever since I fell into your lap on the subway it's because that we should We've been the favorite couple because we're so alike, you know, it's like we're two brilliant people from the same family, that's why I like you so much, it's like you're my brother, oh, it's like he's your what, who, what.
It just happened and then they came to the conclusion that Riley only likes Lucas as a brother, but I think you can pretend to be Riley all you want, but you're not really Riley, so I feel like it was crazy. She came to that conclusion because those were her feelings and then said, "Oh, well, that definitely proves that Riley only likes Lucas as a brother," but I felt like that was just a way to make things okay for Maya. and Lucas will be together in presenting this idea that Riley's attraction to Lucas is simply based on the sibling type of love. which is like there's no hint that this idea came out of nowhere, but I 100% believe it. which was intended to open the doors for Maya and Lucas to have a viable opportunity to be together and we're pretty again.
There's not much development in any of these relationships one way or another, there's some flirting here and there, but for the most part nothing happened until the Texas episodes, so Maya and Riley hire Lucas to get over their childhood failure. when riding Judy the sheep. but they accidentally sign him up to ride bulls and the bull that Lucas has to ride is infamously dangerous and very deadly, so the whole gang heads to Texas to see Lucas ride and from the very jump they really play with this idea of Lucas getting He is attracted to both Riley and Maya, but while they are there and discover how dangerous the bull is, Maya and Riley become very concerned for Lucas' safety, but in very different ways, Riley still encourages Lucas to do so in order to redeem himself. . himself and gain the respect of his family, but Maya threatens to stop being Lucas's friend if he goes through with this Lucas, look at me if you do this, I will never talk to you again May Riley, why are you for this ?
Because I want him to do it. succeed, I want her to make her grandfather proud and it's portrayed in this way where Maya acts irrationally because of her attraction to Lucas, like she's giving him this ultimatum because she really likes him, not just in a platonic way but also in a romantic but for me, myo would just be why couldn't this just be in a platonic way, like why is it so crazy that she would say this just because she didn't want to see her friend and get hurt, but anyway in the episode It is represented.
Like she's worried about his safety because she's attracted to him, so anyway Lucas goes with the flow and survives and Riley confronts Maya about her feelings. He realized that Maya was so worried about Lucas because she actually liked him that you couldn't see him because you were afraid something would happen to him because you like him, you make fun of him because you like him and you've never told me that either and now that Riley realizes that Maya has feelings for Lucas, decides to withdraw and reinforces this idea that she only likes Lucas as a brother so that Maya doesn't feel so guilty for liking him, then Maya tells Lucas that they are just friends and that she just loves him like a brother and that she's his sister, which is fine, so Riley tries to encourage Maya to do it with Lucas and then she just blatantly tells Lucas that Maya has feelings for him, so Lucas confronts Maya about her feelings for him and they end up sharing a moment of feelings for you, don't you think I just did the right thing?
Come out and say it right. I don't know, so what I am saying is that the actor actually said that they filmed a scene where they actually kissed and another where they were about to kiss but didn't and for some reason they chose to. in which they didn't really kiss and I think that's because they didn't want to completely close the door on Lucas Riley's relationship. I think if Maya and Lucas really kissed in this scene, it would have upset Riley Lucas. to the shippers too much and they didn't want people to think that relationship was dead, so things get really awkward from there.
Riley is still adamant about reaffirming this brother-sister relationship with Lucas and in an effort to really play up that, she agrees. go on a date with this other guy and Maya and Lucas decide to try to go out, but Maya and Lucas run into the same problem that Maya and Riley were having and it got really awkward and they couldn't really talk to each other and then in the heat of the moment, Maya gently spills over to Lucas, but then Lucas confronts Ry about the whole brother sister thing and he tells her that he doesn't want to be her brother because one already has one brother and two of them.
I've already been in a romantic relationship, so being a brother or sister doesn't make any sense. I think he just calls her because she realizes that she is denying her feelings for him, but Farle realizes this and asks to meet him. He actually threatens her that if she doesn't tell her true feelings for Lucas, then he will just tell everyone how she really feels about him. Then there was an episode where the cou was going to have a game night and Lucas became really jealous that R's date knew a lot about her and they kept denying their feelings for each other and not wanting to address or resolve the situation. and the mess of their relationships and then on the roof when Maya and Lucas are having a moment true to her Word Sparkle reveals the secret that Riley actually has feelings for Lucas.
Riley still loves Lucas, so now everyone knows that Lucas likes Maya and Riley, and Maya and Raleigh like Lucas, and they don't know what they're going to do about it. therefore the triangle is formed so yeah after that happened and the triangle was formed they basically become a polyamorous couple which is like this is a Disney Channel show bro so no They are exactly all dating, but Lucas doesn't want to. make a decision about Riley or Maya because he doesn't want to hurt either of them and they both like him equally, so it forms this weird dynamic where if Lucas compliments one of them, the other gets jealous. and requires a compliment in return. what I looked at Riley, I know, I saw it, so I'm looking at you to match it.
Ah well, a girl always wants to be looked at so she can be equaled. We're just friends and I love your outfit. Hey, your hair smells good. I smelled her hair and at one point they actually refer to themselves as Lucas's girlfriends Hi, what's your name Lucas? and these are my how would you like to be called girlfriend and how would you like to be the girlfriend? Anyway, in this episode where Maya has this whole arc of becoming Riley and the plot is that the only reason Maya likes Lucas is because she has become Riley and Riley likes Lucas anyway , the important part in this episode is that at the end Lucas says that he's finally made a decision, he knows which girl he really likes and he's ready to make a decision, except it was a complete lie because even though he made a decision, He already resolved it within himself, he doesn't tell us, he doesn't tell us.
Anyone who doesn't tell the audience is still dragging out the plot of this triangle and it's so tedious that none of this is really resolved until the ski lodge episode anyway, so at the ski lodge Lucas is convinced that Even though he's made his decision, he doesn't want to say his decision, he wants it to be a group decision because he doesn't want anyone to get hurt and it's like you already know which one you like, isn't it worse for you to just stay? to drag it out like I don't think it's good to guide people, if you know you've made your choice and you like one more than the other then dragging it out is actually quite cruel so anyway everyone talks about it and everyone tries imagine what her life with Lucas would be like, but then Riley meets a guy at the ski lodge and that puts the whole situation at a crisis point.
Lucas gets jealous and Josh confronts Riley about the whole situation implying that the only reason Maya liked Lucas and the only reason she became like Riley to like Lucas was because she wanted to make sure that Lucas would fit well with Riley. What I've also noticed is that Maya I cared about Riley so much for so long that the moment she decides to care about someone else, you need to protect her from her. How he needed to see if she was safe with him, yes, but how could he do that? Well, let's see, okay, you lose. yourself and become her so you can know him like she knows him, what a great way to see if he's good enough to be your best friend and this is the pinnacle of lazy riding, it's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, but anyway, the resolution is essentially that Maya doesn't really like Lucas, she only thought she likes Lucas because she wanted to be like Riley to make sure Lucas was the good guy for Riley, she really likes Josh and Josh really likes him.
He likes her and Lucas. She is finally able to make up her mind and tell Riley that she really likes him and that she absolutely hates the triangle. I felt like he was handled very poorly, he lasted too long, it didn't even make sense to me that Maya would do it. I'm in love with Lucas, I felt like r just threw it in to appease all the Maya Luca shippers or according to Girl Meets World Wiki, the liua shippers, so it's funny, they really dragged the story out for longer than it was interesting and When We finally got to the conclusion, it was incredibly disappointing and didn't even have a real impact on the rest of the show, so it felt like a huge waste of time.
I was never really convinced that Lucas seriously liked any of these girls. Romantically, it just seemed like they were very good friends. None of this screamed romantic torture to me. I feel like they were trying to force this romantic aspect when they all felt better as friends and also felt like it was a missed opportunity not to include Farle. in the Triangle when he was the one who always liked both Maya and Riley, why didn't they let him be a part of that like he was there too in the resolution when Ry and Lucas started dating which I felt was the option more boring?
In my opinion, Maya and Lucas had had a lot more chemistry, but when Riley and Lucas started dating their dynamic didn't change, we didn't really see them going on dates or even calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend that they weren't too affectionate with. literally nothing changed so they dragged out the triangle story for no reason, everything was so disappointing that they should forget the triangle and let them be friends, but for some reason they felt like they had to play into the ship culture, so that's it. Girl Meets World, this show was not great. I mean, there were moments where I really enjoyed it, but overall I felt like the writing was really bad, the plot lines they touched on were really bad, and there were a lot of lessons that I tried to convey to the young audience that I felt were handled really poorly. in general.
I would say this is creator Michael Jacobs' fault. There's something about the show that feels like a Boomer rant. It feels like this program only exists to enable. Michael Jacobs to complain about left-wing communists and people who don't believe in God.I feel like all the problems really stem from the fact that he was out of his depth here. A lot of these lessons that they covered really feel like someone from his generation. talking about them, but anyway that's the video, let me know what you thought of Girl Meets World.
