EOL New Cybertruck Process, Prod Ramping & S Extension Grows! 27 Mar 2024 Giga Texas Update(08:05AM)

May 03, 2024
Hi everyone, it's Joe, thanks for watching my Giga Texas build

update

video. Hello everyone, welcome back to Giga Texas, it's Wednesday March 27,

2024

and there are only a few days left until the end of the first quarter of

2024

, it's hard to believe and I know that Giga Texas is at least doing everything it can to offer as many vehicles as possible to customers now, before getting into a couple of today's highlights. I just want to show you that yesterday I was able to pass by here on the way. to a different photo shoot and I had my cyber truck so it was like a homecoming because my cyber truck was built here about 3 and a half weeks ago so it was great that I had the opportunity to come back. and spend a moment here at Giga Texas now for today, a couple of big changes and developments that I want to talk about first on the west side, at the end of the line facilities, we now have a good opportunity to get a sense of the flow of how vehicles will pass through those facilities on the north end.

We can see that the Cyber trucks are lining up and are being sprayed as some sort of cleaning before entering the northern part of the building. They also have several Cyber trucks in storage. On the east side and on the west side we see that the test track is now being used by the Cyber trucks. I saw several of them passing through that area and also captured some of the activity in the video you'll see a little later. On the south end the superchargers are also full of cyber trucks and of course on the departure lot we see many more cyber trucks and many other models as well, so

prod

uction of both is progressing really well now on the side as well. west, the boring one. tunnel, it seems the proof is that Rock 3 has done at least some test drilling because we can see that some of the earth right at the drill head has been displaced and in my previous video we saw some of the workers working on that head drilling.

More Interesting Facts About,

eol new cybertruck process prod ramping s extension grows 27 mar 2024 giga texas update 08 05am...

And we can also see with a couple of these other images some of the other activities around where the tunnel bore is being prepared for that operation to begin now shifting to the other side of the road at the south end, one of the biggest developments. is that there is now more steel construction going on on the east side. In those four large tanks, we can see the columns and beams starting to come together. AB sprouts up to the southeast corner of the original building and that's going to build this section of the structure. The work here also appears to have disrupted to some extent some of the flow of the Cyber trucks from the end of the line to the end of the original building and through this construction site and you can see in this image here where the Cyber trucks are . they are grouped together and then they are driven under the new steel structure and towards that new southeast corner of that new structure, so there is a little change in that also on the east side of the foundry, where we see even more of those.

Screw type pairs are being installed and we see more cross cuts or saw cuts of some of the concrete in the northern area in that area where the screw type pairs are being placed. Some viewers in my previous video said that I thought the screw dock work was done, however as you can see in these pictures that is not true, they continue to expand and I saw another truck arrive with even more for that area, so that there is still a lot of work to be done to repair this. section for expansion, so as I mentioned a lot of other things that I want to show you in today's video, as always, thank you very much for your support and for watching what's going on with Giga Texas, so I hope you did.

Don't forget to press. the like and subscribe buttons on my YouTube video as this helps too, thank you, my drones are ready and raring to fly, let's fly over Giga Texas. It's one of the last cold days here in Giga Texas as we move into spring and there's still a lot of activity to see, despite the cold conditions, now the intersection here at the bottom center of the screen where they meet The Avenue and River Road robotics continue to have some of the work done.
We can also see many of the materials stored here. The east side, particularly those corrugated steel pipes for the groundwater management system. I'm going to zoom in here to give you a good view of the activity. Continuing to finish the multi-level parking lot, we will see two double panels. one being lifted by each crane and these essentially form the floors of each of the seven floors of the structure and as you can see there are two in progress at the moment, the building is only five or four sections away from reaching its full extent . and then they will finish with the exterior treatment and then there will be a lot of concrete work to finish each of the floors, but this is a good view of those two double TS being placed for installation as we continue flying along the At the north end of the parking lot From several levels we can see some welding actions that were taking place throughout this section.
All the concrete has now been placed with this ramp and otherwise great progress continued on this structure as we fly south along the east side. of the structure of the stamping machine. I want to show you the changes that are happening here in the far south. We see some excavation work under the power lines. As I approach the side of the four tanks, we see the steel structures and columns being erected here. This southeast corner is right against the original wall and you can also see where the column is on the far right in front of what used to be a rolling door.
That door is being replaced within the print. You can see flashing lights. There are cyber trucks lined up preparing to leave the building. We see the boxes with all the glass on the ground here next to the southeast corner of the

extension

. Much of the glass has been installed in the southeast corner and south end. and much of the roof work is underway and we can see more of those roof decks and floors installed here in the southeast corner. As I bring the Drone down to a lower altitude, it's a good view of the boxes with the glass and those covered with white tarps, uh, devices that are used to place the glass and as I get closer to the steel, I'll give you a view close of how this steel assembly goes next to that southeast corner, what the tanks look like and everything. the steel elements on the ground waiting to be picked up and assembled in this section as I turn the Drone towards the open section here between the original building and the new steel building on the left, I will lower the Drone to show you some of the details, one of which is the work on the steel assembly in that southeast corner, is somewhat disrupting the Cyber truck leaving the factory.
That open door is the end of the line exit for the Cyber trucks and they have been stamping two. and then coming out on that east side, but that's changing a little bit today. Here's a good view of the floor deck in this southwest corner and how it's progressing. Work is also being done on the ground floor below this structure. You can see the workers in that excavation. lots of rebar getting ready for concrete and when I turn around I have a good view of the already finished concrete on the second floor, more work with the rebar and those trenches below on the ground floor and of course a good look here at the roof deck. and the work being done here to prepare this roof for eventually insulation and weather resistant membranes.
Good view of the windows up to this point. More crews working on the brackets and points that are painted black here for the windows to be installed good view of more rebar that has been assembled awaiting installation on the ground floor here and then as we continue flying towards the southwest corner , I will lower the Drone a little further down, you can see the work that is being carried out on this particular one. excavation and most of it is rebar work right now there are three of these excavations spaced evenly on this side, the center and in the southeast corner and they all seem to be pretty reinforced so I'll be interested to see what you end up installing in those sections more welding at the base of some of the columns and preparation for the window supports.
On top of that, you can get a good view of this area of the atrium where it looks like there are some trenches possibly for conduits. In that section there is also additional work being done here near the perimeter beam on the ground floor, the opening in the perimeter beam is still here, this is where some think the boring tunnel may be crossed and of course we can see that. first floor mezzanine in the steel structure in that southwest corner, good view here of the activity with the two temporary platforms and more deliveries on the ground preparing to be picked up and moved inside and in some cases they are being placed on that. garden truck and moving them to different points around the site, there are about 20 cyber trucks stored here in this temporary lot today and I'm going to upload the drone, let's cross the road and take a look at what is The boring company continues with activities, work on the support infrastructure and equipment continues, but if you take a look at the Rock 3 cutter head test in the interface where it sticks to the ground, you can see that it has actually become something.
To some extent, some of the earth has been displaced and is even inside the cutter head, which means they have been doing some testing to make sure it is ready for tunnel construction to begin. Hopefully, we'll see that there's been a big delay soon. and for various reasons, but it seems to me that we are definitely getting close to that point where we will start to see tunnel operations, so we will continue to fly over the West Warehouse on Wheels. I wanted to give you a good view of the continuing ground work here south of the exit lot and the end of line facility, all of this will eventually be put into pavement and expand the size of the exit lot and possibly more of that end of line facility , maybe more superchargers in that area.
There is a good view of the activity and number of cars in the exit parking lot, there are many Model Ys and there are also many Cyber Trucks, some on the transport truck, preparing to leave right now as we continue. flies this way, it almost looks like they're starting to put the model on the west side and the Cyber trucks on the east side, not sure if that's really the plan, but for now, that's what it looks like and how You can see that there are many transport trucks picking up vehicles and removing them from the site.
There is a good view of the northern part of this area. They are doing more dirt work that will also be paved and will be another

extension

of the exit lot and/or a parking lot. for the employees and more of that digging work near the asphalt now I wanted to show you that some of the Cyber trucks are actually using the test track here on the west side of the end of the line here's one. right now and you can see a couple more uh uh getting ready to line up to go onto this test track a little bit later.
I'll show you a little more of the activity with the Cyber trucks, but it looks like they're done with the test. track and then they move to this east side and this is where they are starting to accumulate more and more Cyber trucks. Some of them with the lights flashing may be receiving software

update

s or some additional electronic work while they wait for transport. Here is a good view of this southern section of land, some of the ducting and supports already installed for lighting and of course the supercharger system and what it looks like today, now all the superchargers are facing south so that Vehicles exit at the south end. from the indine and then they go to the superchargers meanwhile we see the vehicles waiting for their opportunity to go through the end of the line or here on the east side and as we get closer to the north we are going to see a There is a change in some of the operations here and it gives us that idea of what the flow will be like in the far north.
We can see the Cyber trucks lined up to enter the north side of the end of the line. They are also taking this opportunity to use some pressure washers to probably clean the mud off the tires and maybe the undersides of the Cyber Tru just because this is a large construction site and here is a good close up of this activity being done. is taking place and right now they have a bay. open, there is additional work on the other two, but soon all three bays will be operational and when I bring the drone a little closer, you can see all the cyber trucks on the left and side of the screen in that eastern holding point, so thatIt looks like they come from the east, enter from the north, go through the

process

ing exit at the south supercharger and then come to this west side for the test track before the exit lot and here's a good view of a cyber truck getting ready .
To go through these changes and with the tire tracks, you can see that it has definitely been used quite a bit in the last 48 hours and just a good view of the new activity that is happening here at the end of the line, so be prepared to cross the road and resume the narration on that side and see what's going on there today in my previous video we saw these items being delivered on a truck and I wasn't sure exactly what they were, but today they are being delivered. assembled on a ramp next to this particular door and this is a good view of what it looks like and it will probably be raised to be level with the end of that load leveler and that threshold. at some point and this may be where there will possibly be a new vehicle departure point for the Cyber trucks, considering all the construction going on at the south end that is disrupting that end of the line, that will be something we continue.
Monitor and see if my assumption is correct as we cross the main west entrance. I wanted to stop here at the end of the line for the model. This is very busy and all of these are lining up here. Some of them. They leave the factory on the ramps and once they reach a certain number, they are driven to the test lot on the east side, where work continues until they are ready to move on to the exit lot while we continue flying north on the east side. west. from the general assembly I want to dwell on this section where more concrete is being broken up basically with this impactor and we can see that more segments of the concrete have been removed.
We see another section of wall panel above that, what? It used to be the opening for a ramp and of course the stairs have also been removed so the excavation work continued. Demolition and redevelopment of this site and we'll have to watch and see what they end up doing with that section as we fly north. the 4680 battery cell part from the factory. I'm going to reposition the Drone to take a look at this northern end. This is where much of the construction is taking place inside. They are reconfiguring and adding capacity so that they can eventually, by the end of this year, have eight production lines for the 4680.
Now we see that some steel has been delivered on the right side of the screen, in the center of the screen, we see that the wall panel on top of that temporary middle platform has been removed. We can see one of those support beams and part of the interior structure and at the ground level below the tall structure or this temporary tall platform we see that some of those boxes have been moved inside and on the north end of the plastics we see some The boxes are being removed and they've already taken out and installed their materials inside and then here at the north end of the paint shop we see some deliveries of what I think are supplies for the paint shop, probably the paint.

process

itself in the northeast corner of the foundry, we see many castings, some on the ground, others on shelves, we also see materials placed on this donkey, it most likely runs along the entire berm and probably has grass or other vegetation. to help prevent erosion that occurs during rains, speaking of castings, you can see many of them stored here, most of the ones right in the middle of the screen are front castings for the Cyber Tru, although there are some back castings in the mix also on the ground, we see sections of the concrete marked in these squares, this is where the saw cutting is being done and it looks like another large section of the asphalt from the concrete pad here is about to be be removed and you can see that you saw the cut, uh, almost the progress at the bottom of the screen and I hope it looks similar to this when they are done and we can see that all the screw type pairs that are being installed and more have been delivered on the left side of the on the screen and I saw even more trucks coming in.
It's a good view of the process of putting those screw-type pairs into those holes. Some viewers said in my previous video that they thought this work was complete, but how can they. Look, he continues, they are installing many more of these screw type pairs and eventually there will probably be between 100 and 150 installed in this particular section. Once all of this is complete, we will be able to see the castings on the ground in a little more of this excavation area. expanding the burma next to those two towers and then I will continue this perspective by looking down at the concrete that has been removed where these new receiving docks have been installed and of course this section is still awaiting final preparation so they can put the concrete in here and then have these eight new reception doors operational and as I maneuver the Drone, lower it and keep us away from the power lines, you'll see even more castings of the Cyber truck on the floor and some of the shelves. is mounted on the right side of the screen as we continue south along this East Side.
I wanted to show you that concrete is being poured next to these five new reception doors and you can get a good idea of how it's going. Bomb Truck There are a couple of concrete trucks on the left side of the screen, it looks like one now but another one will arrive soon and they provide the concrete. The pump truck places it where the crews need it and we will be there soon. We're going to see this entire section complete and start to see it up and running, which is great to finally see as I walk away.
I'll give you a good overview of how active the testing and calibration batch is today. Superchargers are very busy. a great mix of models and cyber trucks, I'm going to make an estimate here, but there are over 100, maybe 125 to 130 cyber trucks here alone and at least that number is possibly closer to 200, 225 model, maybe more of each, but basically a lot. of vehicles and this is a great indication of the production, the production ramp for both the model and the Cyber trucks and at this moment, based on what I have seen in the last few days and of course today I am going to say I think cyber truck production is between 900 and 1,000 per week, which would be a run rate of around 50,000 per year right now and I expect that to continue to increase and sometime in the second quarter we will.
I see an increase in that as a second shift comes online, so I think the ramp is moving pretty well now, good view of the east side where the robotic avenue is extending south and on the left side of the On the screen you can see the rest of Robotic Avenue and this new intersection on the left side that is being prepared for that extension, of course, the East Warehouse on Wheel, many trailers here waiting for their opportunity to be moved to the factory to unload the materials just in time for production we're flying over the employee overflow lot as you can see it's full too and another reason why that multi level parking lot is really needed and it's a priority to get it done probably by summer down south.
At the end of the die shop we see more work preparing the ground for the concrete and our asphalt, in addition to those two retaining walls for the reception door ramp and when I lower the drone a little, this gives you an excellent perspective of the work that is underway. kind of the heights of each of those little walls and the entrance with the new doors uh it looks like maybe they've already been installed and uh that's just to the left of that uh trailer and that white truck looks like there are actually tables inside of that section like Well, as we turn the corner of the alley looking north, we will see the cathode building on the right, the die shop on the left, we see many tanks, some for water, some for nitrogen and some vaporizers in both sides and then, as we get closer. at the South End chiller plant.
I'm going to show you the work that is being done with those four new stainless steel tanks that have been installed. It looks like workers are doing some additional construction or at least testing within that catchment wall around those. four stainless steel tanks we also see some of the collectors and work continuing on the pipes pumps and heat exchangers on the roof of the chiller plant the scaffolding against the wall of the cathode plant is still present but I don't see any changes as to to the installed equipment and this is a good view looking down from an aerial perspective of what the chiller plant looks like today and of course that scaffolding that goes all the way to the roof as we continue flying north, it's a good view. of this temporary loading dock with the garbage dump and some of the work being done on the land around the dump and on the north side of the DI shop as I bring the drone down here is a good view of the inside of the cooler. plant and of course the stainless steel tanks, vaporizers and nitrogen tanks on the right side of the screen.
As I move the drone north, we get a good view of that trash. Launch the container and also that temporary platform again and uh. As we go north, there is a good view of how this west side of the cathode plant is about half pavement and then the rest is land that is being prepared for more pavement in the near future and this is a good view of that. Work continues and will extend around the west side of the die shop. Here is a good view in the northeast. By cleaning the battery cath floor, we can get a good view of some of this equipment that is a kind of overhead crane.
That has the white supports plus those two big shiny ones that almost look like tubes, but aren't exactly tanks. I'm not sure exactly what they are, but they have been stored here for several months waiting for their chance to be installed. In addition to more steel and other items in this northeast corner, as we approach the east side of the cathode plant, there is a good view of the cell testing laboratory just below the bottom left of the screen, the Wade Well on the left side of the Examine the amount of asphalt plus areas of dirt still waiting for concrete or asphalt and of course the crash test facility on the left with that rounded roof section now at the south end of the facility of crash tests.
I wanted to give them a good view. here from that type of dip tank Also that big white tank which I think is the water supply for that tank and then some kind of barrier on the south end of that tank now my previous video this was full of water now this is what it looks like It has been completely depleted and I believe it is being used for one of two purposes, either after a crash test if there is a fire in the battery or they have been using structural packs in that water, probably testing them for failure modes, so anyway, it's a good view of Giga Texas here this Wednesday as a cold rainy day, hopefully the last U as we enter spring, but I hope you enjoyed what we got to see and talk about and As always, thank you very much for your support. great rest of the week
