I'll show you how to clean and organize your pantry. Thanks, I'll go into more detail about all the prep work I did before in a minute. On this day I went in for the first time and cleaned everything, so go in when you're organizing your pantry to remove everything from the area first so you can go through everything individually and get rid of anything that's old or expired. Also give everything in your pantry a really good deep clean because you probably won't be going in there and removing everything for quite a while so make sure you give it a good deep clean and I also think that's key to getting rid of a lot of it. of boxes into containers because they take up a lot of space in your pantry, obviously your pantry space is not an issue but for my personal pantry it is much smaller and you may have a smaller pantry that you want to get rid of the boxes and containers.

I'll save you a lot of space. I'll show you what I do because my pantry is much smaller and we have a shoe rack on the door of our pantry and that allows us to get rid of a lot of boxes and also utilize space that would otherwise be empty, so it makes your pantry much more bigger than it really is. I know it looks like a huge mess and I started to get a little nervous when I saw everything here and was just hoping my vision would come together. and let me give you a little spoiler alert, it turned out perfect and I was so happy with the incredible transformation and better yet, I did it all for a really good price, okay, before I showed up at her house with what I had.

What my sister-in-law did was take inventory of her pantry, you know, this helps you go shopping, you know what you need, you know how much of what you need, you know, I didn't want to waste time and not have enough storage containers. or having too many, so this will be different for everyone and it depends on what your family keeps in your pantry, so I asked her to go through and group things that were similar, so things for her toddler. She had her group baking things. He had her group. chips plus macaroni and cheese and cans of rice, cookies and other sweets so basically you want a group of all the same things and that way you know what type of containers you will need for what you have and then I decided what type of storage containers she would need depending on the specific foods and groups she had, for example, they had a lot of cereal, so I wanted to make sure I had containers of cereal.
If you don't eat cereal, you don't have it on hand. I'm going to need cereal containers. I have several baskets for everything, so you need to take inventory of what you have and ultimately group those things that way. When you go shopping, you know exactly what you are looking for. You can reduce the time spent shopping. you go in and out First I went to Dollar Tree and since it's the cheapest store possible and I got what I needed and if I couldn't find something or if I wanted something different than what she had there, then I went to Walmart. and then I went to Amazon but the buying part was the easiest and quickest and I didn't have anything left over so there was no waste I didn't have to make returns and I had the perfect amount of things when I was actually doing the

organization

right so after my sister-in-law took all the things from her pantry and put them together, I went shopping, so the goal first is to go to the Dollar Tree because we're trying.
To keep this on a budget, Dollar Tree has a lot of good things. I went there first and got everything I could, so I bought these baskets. They are amazing, but I will tell you that they are not easy to find at all. luckily we have a lot of

dollar

tree

s in the city I live in so I was able to get what I needed but they have them in a lot of different colors but we wanted the white ones so I bought these. I also bought some of These are called Locker Baskets. If you watch my channel, you know I have a ton of those all over my house.
I also bought these jars. I thought they were very cute. They had many different jars that you could use to organize. at Dollar Tree so I only bought two of these and then got this from Amazon. I've had it for a while. I'll try to find it and link it under some chalk labels. You can also get them at Dollar Tree, but I bought them from Amazon and have a lot there. I bought them from Dollar Tree. I bought them from Dollar Tree. They come with those covers. Those Dollar Tree baskets. The only things I bought from Walmart, so I went to Dollar Tree and then when they had what I needed, specific things that I knew I couldn't find at Dollar Tree and they weren't big enough, I bought these canisters from Walmart and I think they were like 247, damn, super. cheap and then the other thing I needed was cereal containers and I bought them from Amazon.
I got four fours. I think they were $24 so by far the most expensive was from Amazon but Walmart also had these cereal containers and they were cheaper on Amazon so the price kind of matched everything so it's good to look into what you have, what you need and what sizes you like, so these are similar, the things that I knew would fit here I have here, but then there were some things that I knew were too small, so I chose these and they are a little more airtight, They have screw caps and while you know they fit really well, I don't think they're as airtight as something like this or This, so I think depending on what you use it for, you know you can decide, but it's like I'm not going to put cereal in something like this because I don't think it'll keep us fresh and not If you want things to become stale, it's going to be a waste of money, so yeah, group everything together, you know what size you need, you know what size your pantry is and then go shopping at Dollar Tree Walmart and then Amazon and Walmart is good because you can find almost anything in the store. you can find it online so you can have an idea of what you need before you even go to the store and then while we had everything grouped up in the kitchen I put all the storage containers in her pantry, I wanted to figure out how they would all sit in the pantry.
I had my idea of how it would go, but I wanted to see it visually before putting everything in the containers. Keep in mind that when you do these things, she uses them a lot. to be more on level I and maybe the things that she didn't use on a daily basis could go up or down and then once we had everything in the pantry I started putting the real food in the proper containers so again, yeah When doing this you need to take into account things like cereal, if the cereal is going to go stale you need to make sure you get a good container, so whilst getting organized on a budget is always ideal, sometimes you need to get containers really good for whatever you want.
So I spent a little more money and bought containers of really good cereal because I didn't want his cereal to go stale. These Dollar Tree containers are closed and don't expose air to what's in them in the container, but it's not airtight, so I put things like rice and noodles in there because I knew they would be fine in Dollar Tree containers in the past . I've tried being super cheap and getting everything from Dollar Tree and it just wasn't sustainable and not something that really works long term, so keep that in mind too. I thought these glass containers would be perfect for things like goldfish crackers and baby oatmeal because it's nice to know when you're running out of these kinds of things.
I know personally, being a mom, I like to know when some of my kids' things are running out so I can always make sure I have them on hand because there are some things we know we don't want to run out of, so I thought. putting goldfish crackers in the oatmeal in these clear jars was perfect and then with these granola bags and bars I thought they would line up perfectly like this because again when your daughter is old enough she will be able to go into the pantry and get things like this for snacks, okay, I know it looks like a mess, but I feel like it's organized chaos, so what I did was now that we have everything laid out in the pantry, I went back and organized everything that I know isn't really like that.
It looks like they're separate, but I did it, so you have, let's see, this would be the baby stuff, we have some baking stuff, bread, tortillas, cookies, extra rice, like macaroni and cheese, some candy they have, so I grouped together. everything and then. I'm going to go in and put them in all the containers separately. It's also really nice to go shopping and keep in mind how many baskets and storage containers you need because there is no waste and it just gives you a plan. when you go shopping, at least for me the shopping is much faster.
I just walked into the Dollar Tree and was in and out in about ten minutes because I knew exactly what I needed and I knew how much of everything I needed. Same with Walmart and then obviously I ordered everything offline from Amazon. I think labeling everything is super important for sustaining your

organization

's projects. I know that personally, having kids and a husband, you may not be as disciplined when it comes to organization, so I know. If things are labeled, then my husband and oldest daughter are much more likely to put them where they go because everything is labeled and I had intended to use the chalk labels I got from Amazon, but I just didn't like my handwriting.
I don't have the best handwriting so I wanted to use my label maker and it actually turned out really well because I took the labels from my label maker and put them on the chalk labels and they just stood out a little better in the white basket okay here's the finished product, okay, so we don't have all his other stuff. My sister-in-law is going through all those small appliances and other things she had here now, obviously there's a lot of room to put them. those things, but she's sorting and going through things to see what things she can get rid of and we're just going to put the essentials back in here, but I'm going to go through it and show you everything, so this is our cereal and pancake mix again.
I got them from Amazon they are airtight and the reason I wanted to make sure we had them is because it's easier to be able to pour cereal and that's what you do you pour it the same way with the pancake mix it's good that we have a scoop there, but it's easy to be able to pour it out of those, so that's something I didn't want to skimp on the ones from Walmart that I was thinking about buying that have airtight containers, they didn't have the little lid to open and I thought that was important for Cyril and the pancake mix, so these little buckets here are from the Dollar Tree and this is kind of a mixed bag when we put in all these random things that she can use to store them, here we have crackers and chips again.
They are all from Dollar Tree. I got them from Amazon. I'll link them below and then use my label maker to place them there. At first I was going to write, but I don't have very good handwriting. I did not do it. I liked how it looked and then with the label maker I felt like the white wasn't coming off the white containers too so I just put this on the chalk labels mm-hm here we have sugar and powdered sugar we need Get another one for your flour here because he has a one-year-old child. We have their special oatmeal goldfish, which is super good.
I need to get this for my pantry because our goldfish always spoils even when we cut it up so I thought of this. was perfect, we have baby granola bars extra granola bars, fruit and veggie pouches and then all the other baby foods and snacks compete with the noodle bunsthat we also added, like potatoes and tortillas, you know, all that kind of stuff, oh, I should have. Put out the tortillas, not that you only use them for tacos, but I guess they use those for wraps too, but they eat tacos a lot, I mean, don't we all?
So I made them a little basket of tacos for tacos here this was from Dollar Tree these were from Dollar Tree noodles different types of rice noodles and then this is their oatmeal now they're not so bad they're in there pretty good and I know the air It doesn't go in there, but I don't like it, I wouldn't use them to put cereal or anything that might get stale if that makes sense, so I don't think they're airtight if that makes sense, but I thought it would be perfect for rice noodles and oats. in their cans.
I was going to get something to organize his cans, but honestly. I just felt like I was wasting money to get something just for the cans and we didn't, she didn't want to use a basket because she wanted to be able to see what they have and since they have this whole room, I mean, not everyone has a nice big pantry. like this, they have the room, so it's like I'm not, I'm not going to get a key, an organizer and spend the money when it looks like this and they can I see everything they have and then down here, oh, I still have to label your paper products, paper baking products, those empty baskets in there so you have those kind of extras and then down here we have bottles of paper towels, oh, this is the pantry.
I'm going to add everything else to it and show you what the final product is, but I'm really happy with how this all turned out and I think it looks really good. Everything will be sustainable because everything is labeled that way. when they go to the grocery store and that's the other thing is you want to have places for everything so when you go to the grocery store you know you're in a hurry instead of just throwing everything out here you know exactly where to put it. in the basket or where to line it up, I think that's the key to keeping things organized, like having a home knowing where it's going and yeah, I think this will work well for you and here's the finished product with so much more. space to put things so they added some appliances in here that they don't use very often nuts and instant pots yeah everything else we were able to replace to put somewhere else get rid of donating all of that so they have a lot more space to work with. with a lot more storage space than they had before and they still have these ones that are empty and she has some little things that she's going to throw in there, but yeah, this is the final product, so that's it, it's been a full day of cleaning and ordering. and organize, so if you need to tackle your pantry, no, you can do it by following the steps that I did and organize your pantry on a budget.
