More Interesting Facts About,

dollar tree farmhouse valentine diys...

I'm going to start with the rustic rope heart, so you'll need some kind. heart wire from the Dollar Tree, they have several options, you will need two bundles of nautical rope, you will need some lace and/or ribbon and you will also need a hot glue gun for this project, so the first step for this project is To remove this little arrow now I didn't realize it just slid off so originally I was pulling on it and you'll notice I actually broke this little heart shape but I'll fix it later so basically all I'm going to do en I'm going to cut the tinsel off and keep untangling it until it's completely out of my shape now that all the tinsel is out here.

I'm just showing you where it literally slipped. I'm going to go ahead and take the tape off the top and as you can see on the side that's where it broke so I'm just going to put some hot glue on it and re-attach it and then once it's back together, I'll move on to the next line. I happen now that it's glued back on, I'm taking my rope and what I decided was I was actually going to see if I could get the rope between these little tabs, these plastic tabs that stick out, but once I got through the gap they didn't. .

It didn't work, so some of the loops would have been bigger and some of the loops would have been smaller, so I decided I'm going to have to cut all these little tabs, so what I'm going to do is grab some of my little scissors here. and these are the ones that I found work the best, they cut very easily and I'm just going to go around and remove all these little plastic tabs and now that all the tabs are cut here, I'm breaking off the top little circle. part and this is where I have my other little problem because I cut it too much and then I break the top part, so again I'm going to hot glue it on and there you go and I broke it, but it's okay, I'm not really worried.
I cut it all out and I'm going to glue it back together and now I'm ready to start wrapping my rope so I'm just going to put a bunch of hot glue on the bottom of the heart and then I'm going to go through and start wrapping it and I'm going to make sure to tighten it a little little because I don't want it to be too loose, so I'll keep wrapping it until the entire heart is covered. and here I just wanted to show you how far a strand of rope went and that's why you need a second bundle, it's not much if you only have a small piece of rope, that's what I ended up doing instead of using This I realized I had a little bit that I could put in there, so now I'm going to go ahead and fill this last little section with a piece of string and then everything will be fine and now it's all wrapped up, so now I'm just cutting out the place where the two pieces of string meet. rope and then trimming the bottom and I'm just using hot glue to flatten it out.
There's a back of this, that's where I had the rope. final, so I'm just using my little scissors and trimming all the little extra fluff off the ends of the rope, okay, and now you can decide if you can leave it plain if you want or wrap it with a ribbon that I chose to wrap it with. Some of this lace that I bought from burlap dot com and I'm just going to take it and wrap it up. I'm not going to hot glue it all the way down. I'm literally just going to glue it to the bottom. and then continue wrapping now that it's all wrapped with lace.
I wanted to tie a little bow here to see if I wanted to put a bow on top, so I did that and then decided I didn't really want to. So I left it the way I have it now and I'm very happy with how the finished product turned out. This is what it looks like. I really love it. It is hanging on my blanket ladder that has a blanket with those same shades. I think it looks pretty cool, let's move on to the love potion bottle, so you'll need one of these oil or vinegar bottles.
They also have colored glass bottles that you can pick up to use. You will need this love potion card. You will need some. nautical oak twine and/or ribbon you will need a package of large beads and a package of small beads and you will also need your hot glue gun so the first step will be to scratch off this little tag that does scratch off. with your nail I tried the little plastic scraper it didn't really come off so now I'm just using my little hot glue gun tool which is actually metal and I'm just scraping this off now if you don't like the sound of the nails . on a whiteboard, I wouldn't recommend using this method because the sound it makes is literally not pleasant.
I just turned on my Chris Stapleton, turned the music up really loud, and deleted it, but I ended up trying other methods. using isopropyl alcohol trying to see if I could remove it any other way again. I tried the scraper but it didn't work so I went ahead and suffered and scraped it this way but just as a heads up it makes a terrible sound. and now the torture is almost over, so once I'm done scraping it, I'm going to grab some isopropyl alcohol, sorry the camera is shaking here, and I'm just going to clean my surface whenever I work with glass or plastic.
I'm going to apply something. I always clean it with isopropyl alcohol. I just find things stick better and once I'm done doing that I'll be ready to start cutting out my potion card. Now I'm just going to take this card and I'm just going to peel off the bottle and then I'm going to save the little pink bow, the little "drink me" tag and then I'm going to cut out the love potion and the little XO heart that I didn't want Be my Saint Valentine, part of my label. You could certainly cut the entire label off if you wanted and if you wanted to make this a little more

farmhouse

.
II, you could print something like this on cream or tan paper and then use lace. like a bow or soft colored ribbon, once all my parts are ready I'll take some hot glue and just wrap the top of the bottle with some twine. This is where you can use lace. you could use ribbon, you could use nautical rope from Dollar Tree if you wanted, it's up to you, but I'm just going to wrap it around. I'm not going to anchor it as I just wrap just a little bit of glue on the bottom and then when I have it up I'm going to put some hot glue on the top and now I'm working on the potion part of this bottle like this which I'll end up using both data and all I'll do is I'm spraying a couple of the big beads and then some of the small ones.
I just like pearls because they remind me of bubbles, but you could use other colored beads, you could put rock salt, you could add glitter if you wanted, I mean it's up to you, you can add salt, just regular salt, and if you want To have a different look, you can place some of the small fairy lights and then simply place the small battery at the bottom or behind the bottle. If you want, there are a lot of options here, but I'm going to go ahead and fill this bottle and then I'll be ready to put my labels on now that my bottle has little bubbles.
I'm just going to hot glue my label on the front and then I'm going to take the little "drink me" label and I'm going to add a piece of twine to it and then I'm going to attach it to the bottom of where the twine is wrapped around the bottle and then I'm just going to take the little pink bow and hot glue it to the center of where the twine is wrapped at the top and here is my final product. I think it turned out very nice. I am currently decorating this little tray and I have a few more things to add but I think it looks great there and now let's move on to our last project which is the love flower box so for this project you will need four of these love signs , you will need some burlap ribbon. six inch ribbon you will need some flowers and greenery you will need some white chalk paint you will also need sixteen of the Jenga blocks and then of course you will need your hot glue gun and some e6000 glue so the first thing I'm going to do do What I do in this project is simply cut the thread.
I'm going to save these little bits as scraps and then I'm going to remove these little hangers and also save them for future projects and I'm going to do this for each of the four. websites now that the hanging hardware is out for all of these love signs, I'm going to take my chalk paint and I'm going to use a foam brush and I'm just going to paint the front and the sides of this love sign now there's a option to not put the burlap on this, so if you just want to make this box and not use the burlap you will want to paint all sides of the love sign, this is what it looks like after one coat and this is the kind of style that I was looking for so I was happy with that, if you want more coverage you'll need to put more coats on, but like I said I was going for a farm II type environment so one layer was enough now. to take my roll of burlap and I'm just going to glue my love sign to a piece of this burlap now you can go ahead and cut the burlap apart if you want, I chose not to because I didn't want to have to deal with little pieces of fraying and the little threads getting in the way while I'm trying to put this project together, which is why I didn't do it - sighs, I can't say this is the recommended method, this is one of those things where it may have made my job harder, but again, personal preference, I just didn't want to deal with all the consequences of cutting burlap, so that's what I chose to do.
I'll simply add a piece of burlap to each one. from these websites, the next step is to start assembling the box, so now what I'm going to do is work with two pieces at a time and I'm just going to end up attaching this as you can see here to Below this sign and you can also see that the burlap is a little annoying and in the way, but for me again it's better than having frizzies stuck in my glue here, so now I'm going to put some e6000 on as soon as I can. Take it out of the tube at the bottom and what I realized on the first one I made was that I didn't need to put it all over the surface because the letters aren't actually going to make contact with the entire bottom, so I learned that on the The second one won't do that, but I'll do 6000 and then I'll put a little hot glue on to get that quick little adhesion that I want and then once they're glued I'll let them dry for quite a while.
I let it dry overnight and I'm just going to use a few cans of paint to help keep it in place. Okay, my box is ready, it's dried and now what I'm going to do is basically go through and I'm just going to trim the excess burlap from the top and bottom of the box. I'm just sniffing it to where it falls a little bit lower with the love signs and I'll do it on both ends once. The burlap has been trimmed on both ends. I'm just going to go in and adjust the burlap as you can see and break it up at the corners, put some hot glue on it and make the sides very smooth as far as how the burlap looks. inside the box and now I'm taking some of these Ginga blocks and basically what I'm making are my own little L brackets.
Here I'm just making them to reinforce the inside of the box so I'm just going to make several. Of these supports my intention was to make four on top of each one, but once I started putting them in there I realized they wouldn't all fit, so once I have the burlap in place I'm just going to put one little hot glue. and then I glued it to the corner of the box at the top and what I basically realized is that I could put two of these L brackets here and then I just put additional pieces on the other two corners, so once I got them L brackets were at the top and bottom I filled it and what I used to fill it were two bouquets of roses, two bouquets of thesepointy green things with purple flowers and also a little purple thing that I don't remember what it was called, which I see the picture in just a second, but I didn't end up putting any of the foam blocks or anything in there, they went exactly where I wanted them, so it worked very okay and right now I'm wrapping some twine around it because I thought it needed something but then I realized I didn't like it very much but I'll show you the photo in just a second and this is what it would have looked like if I had left the twine there, please, sorry.
The mess around it is really like doing crafts there and that's how I finished it. I put it in my entrance. I wanted to show you that if you end up buying real flowers for Valentine's Day, you can get one of the vases from Dollar Tree and place it. on top of a foam block and place it inside the box and it will make a great little base for displaying your flowers. Thank you very much for watching guys. I really appreciate it. I hope you have a great day and see you next time. See you later.
