Go ahead and start with my first tutorial. I'm going to make a really easy pillow and I'm using these little towels of ours from Dollar Tree, they come two per pack and they're supposed to be exactly the same size, however, they all know they aren't so I'm going to add some tassels small ones that you can get at Walmart. I actually got this from an old Dollar Tree pillow, little wraparound ones and what I'm going to do is I'm going to cut it down to the right size and then I'm going to start hot gluing it to the bottom piece of the pillow.

More Interesting Facts About,

dollar tree diy valentines decor...

Normally I would sew this and turn it inside out but I'm just hot gluing to keep this simple if you want a tutorial on how to sew it then I would suggest checking out my tutorial for the Christmas pillows I made. I did it like this and I also show you other methods you can use, so I'm going to go around and just leave one side open. As you can see, I'm hot gluing, I'm adding my other little piece of tassel and then I'm going to leave that top side open so I can go ahead and fill it in, but before I fill it in I want to add my little design to the front, so I'm making sure I'm lining up the fabric with the bottom fabric covering that pink strip on the tassel and now I'm going to add a felt heart.

I'm going to make this pink one and I'm going to attach it using hot glue. I'm using a very small amount so it doesn't seep into the back of the pillow and just making sure it's nice and secured in place. Now you can leave this as is, but I just want a little more. I thought it looked a little simple and used this ribbon from Dollar Tree around the edges. Now, like I said, you have the option of sewing these pillows. If you make them with hot glue, then you certainly can't wash and put them on.

Put them in the dryer, they are like pillows that you use during the season and then recycle later, but if you want something that will last a long time, I would definitely suggest using a sewing machine or hand sewing. I'm going to go all the way around with this and once I've covered all four sides, I'll go ahead and hot glue the top a bit, leaving a little open spot so I can fill it in. I want to stuff it with it all the way open so I put all my stuffing inside and this is just an old pillow and I'm going to push it in and use some hot glue to seal it and once I'm done I have this adorable little one. very cute pink pillow for a teen room if you want to use it all year round.
I love it for this tutorial. I'm going to need one of these little floral wreaths from Dollar Tree. I'm not sure what they are called. and I'm going to need some conversation hearts and sweet tarts. I mixed both and bought them at Dollar Tree, so I'm going to go ahead and mix them together for more variety because even though they're supposed to be the same the colors are a little bit different and for this entire tutorial I'm only using these two packs. I'm going to start gluing my little hearts in place now I want to make sure I keep them nice and flat. the table so I'm not going to put hearts anywhere it would wear out once you hang this it would pull it off the wall so just figure out the location add some hot glue you use a lot less glue if you add the glue to the sweet tart and I discovered it along the way so I covered everything and you can go ahead and cover this with epoxy if you want this to be a long term thing.
I didn't, I just went ahead and grabbed the wooden hearts from Dollar Tree and use them throughout all of the tutorials, so I'm going to use these hearts and paint them blue. I will mention these shades later, the blue is aquamarine mixed with white. and the pink is something called Tropic Thunder and the white. I think now I'm going to go ahead and use these from Dollar Tree, these or these little galvanized signs and I'm going to place them where I cover that little hole, so once I cover those little holes I'm going to add a little bit of hot glue just to secure everything in place and so the hearts don't move, so I just lift it up, add hot glue and press it down, but of course you can. always cover that hole with a little bit of putty and then paint it so you don't have this problem, so once it's nice and secure, I'm going to go ahead and put this on my wreath and place it.
Exactly the same way, I'm just going to add a little bit of hot glue to the ends that will be touching the shortbreads and then I'm going to place it right on top without moving it so it has a good hold, let it sit and dry and now I wanted to add a little ribbon so I got some burlap from Dollar Tree, made this little situation here and then hot glued them together. I always mention this in every tutorial. I'm NOT the best at making bows, so now I'm I'm going to cut this into a piece and hot glue it on, usually that's how I make bows, but this time I'm going to double it.
Olivia's Romantic Design always makes these extravagant bows, so if you want something a little more professional looking, definitely check out she makes some really cool stuff here and on Instagram too, so I'm going to fold my bow over and with another piece of burlap I'm going to fold it over and hide the middle to make it look a little bit longer and of course to make it look like a full bow and I'm going to hot glue it together now when I was done I took this bow and attached it to that little bow that I created for hang this.
I want to put a little bow on the back that I didn't show, but when you're done, you'll have this beautiful wreath for the next tutorial. I'm going to use this point from Dollar Tree. The St. Patrick's Day

decor

ation is supposed to be a little pot of gold and I'm going to give it a little makeover, so I'll start by tracing where I want the actual border to go and use this color. called aqua, I'll mix it with a little bit of white, but if you have whatever color you want at home, you can do that.
I know people like to see what colors I'm using, so now I'm going to paint everything this color way below the line that I made and it doesn't actually have to be clean, but the reason I'm using so much is because I want to make sure that this paint is still wet when I move forward. to the next step, so I'm going to do very, very heavy layers and if you have a bigger brush and you definitely use it, now I'm going to just use the white and start adding some highlights, so I'm going to start doing this in parentheses. just to give it a little dimension.
I'm no expert, but if you keep it just one solid color, it'll look a little flat and boring, so. I'm adding highlights, I'm also going to add some darkness to it, so I'm going to take the water color on its own and do the exact same thing, but I'm just going to do that along the edges anywhere a shadow would go, so once I'm done create all the shadows at the bottom and the feet, the little handles wherever to give it some definition. I'm going to let this dry completely before moving on to the top, here's what it looks like and I think it looks pretty good now for the top.
I decided to use these two colors and lighten them a little, so I'll mix them together until I get the pretty peachy shade I want. I'm going to do the same. I'm going to go in with a heavy hand to make sure it's nice and moist when I go to add some details to this. Now I want this to look a little bit like a potion, so keeping it a single flat color isn't going to be that way. work so I'm going to take the first color and then with a brush I'm going to start making the little Tiny curl up like he's making a potion in a moment I took a sponge and added a little bit of white but honestly that wasn't it So.
It really worked, not to mention I'm going to cover this with hearts, so I added it just to give it a little dimension and kept playing. If I used the darker color a little bit more, I would just use the darker color. with the lighter color and lighten it so it doesn't look so harsh, as you can see some of the lines are disappearing and some are reappearing. This is just me playing with the two colors, so I'm going to let this dry completely. Before adding anything else at this point, you just don't want to touch it until it's dry for the top.
I use these Dollar Tree stickers as well as these Dollar Tree foam stickers and have just started figuring out the placement. I cut some. of the foam ones to make it look like they are coming out of the pot and then I figured out the placement before I glued them on so once I glued them on I wanted to add something to this so I found them at Dollar Tree. I was originally going to write love potion but I thought this was perfect so I added a little bit of glue in case I needed to move it and once I placed it I took my darkest color and started adding a little shadow, nothing also.
It's crazy, but also to give it a little dimension, once it's completely dry, you can put this on a wreath, you can hang it, you can display it as is. There are many options and this is a very easy repaint for my garden gnome tutorial. I'm going to use a jar, this is just a jar of leftover pasta that I ran through the dishwasher and if you don't have it, you can also buy a jar at Dollar Tree, they have nice stubby ones and now what I'm going to do is cover this with a knit hat because I feel like you can get the most material out of this.
I've seen a lot of gnome tutorials where people put rice or beans in a sock and those are amazing, one of my favorites are from everyday DIY. She uses a Christmas

tree

in one, so I'll link her gnome tutorials below because they are so cute. This one will be a little different because I want to be able to use them. The storage is on the inside, so I'll take my knit hat and split it in half to get double the material and then just cut the edges to make it a little neater. I'm going to stick this right under the lid of the jar so I can open and close it and you can always cover the back with another piece of fabric to make it look like a little foot cape.
I'm going to use these little babies. The Dollar Tree shower gifts come in pink but I forgot to buy them in pink so I just spray painted them and with a little hot glue attached them to the bottom and then secured the little cape on top now for the arms. Use these cloths that I found at Dollar Tree and I'm going to open one up and cut it in half so I have two pieces. Now I want my gnome to have little hands, so I'll wear these little socks. that I found at Dollar Tree and I'm just going to glue cotton to the inside, twist it and then with a little rubber band, I'm going to secure it in place now if you have clear rubber bands use the ones I didn't have.
I have some and I'm going to cut some and make sure I make two. I want these arms to bend a little bit, so I'm going to use some

dollar

tree

wire and wrap it around. several times around my hand, cut it out and put it on my little washcloth, as you can see I just wrap it a few times and then secure the little hands and wrap the washcloth around the wire and then cut off the excess so it doesn't look all weird , although it's not actually supposed to be proportionate. I just roll it up to secure the little wipe in place and then I'll hot glue it to the jar making sure to add enough.
Hot glue it to seep through the small layer and onto the glass itself for the head. I'm going to use a dog ball from Dollar Tree and I'm going to cover it with these same little tights or whatever they're called and then I put some cotton balls inside to make the nose and I'm going to secure it in the same way using a rubber band so that I have a little nose and not worry about the imperfections because it's going to be covered and I'm going to hot glue it to the lid of my jar, making sure the head is facing the direction where the jar lid closes and with this headband from Dollar Tree I'm going to take the little ponytail part at the bottom and as you can see there's a little piece of plastic, I'm going to take some hot glue and flood it with hot glue.
Now after I've flooded it, I'm going to cut it out and then flood the top piece with a little more hot glue. to make sure there are no loose strands of hair, make sure it dries really well before you continue, then you'll want to part it above the nose and start spreading the hair out and hot gluing the bottom and the top. be very careful not to go crazy with the hot glue so you can't see it on the front right now my gnomeHe looks like Gandalf and I'm going to give him a little hat using this package of socks from Dollar Tree that I just used. a white sock and made sure the ball was completely covered now for the end after adding this little heart that I decided I wanted it to be a little raised so before adding the bomb I cut the end off, filled it with some cotton balls just to make it look a little raised and then I pinched the tip, hot glued it on and then added my little pom pom. pom, this was the final touch, if you have a little heart to add at the end, you can do that too or add nothing at all, it's totally up to you.
I wanted to give him a little heart to hold, so I used one of my leftover wooden hearts. and I covered the little circle with one of my leftover wooden stickers and just asked it to hold it in place and you can still open it and store some things inside, so I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial, let me know in the comments. What is your favorite? Thanks so much for looking. I appreciate you very much and I hope to see you next time.
