Feb 27, 2020
Hello everyone, welcome back to measure and mix, today I'm going to make some cute and fun Easter DIYs from Dollar Tree. If you are new to my channel, welcome, hit the subscribe button and don't forget to bring the bell before you leave. You get a notification when I upload a new video, which I do every week. Ok, let's start with the first DIY. I'm going to create a bunny wreath with these two light colored willow wreaths from Dollar Tree, one is larger and the other is smaller now. I'm going to hook them but since I'm not going to put anything around the neck, I'm trying to hide how I hooked them with this floral wire.

I only had this floral wire lying around, so I left it between the two. the wreaths in and out, that way I make sure it's secure, so I basically used three pieces of wire through the wreaths and just twisted them all together and then came back with some hot glue and glued everything on the part Later when I turned it over, it was very secure and you couldn't tell there were wires holding it together. Now what I'm going to do is take this white linen chalk paint and just give it a very light coat so it's bright and white.

More Interesting Facts About,

I'm going to create the bunny ears with this wire from Dollar Tree and it's just a gold wire, it's really easy to bend so I'm going to fold it in half and then fold it in half again to create two pieces, that way. I can make two ears, so I just took one of the pieces and then I split it in half and gave it a kind of rabbit ear shape by just working with it and then I just twisted the bottom two wires to keep the shape of the ear and then I did the same with the other bunny ears, so I had two ears that looked the same as the cone on a Friday night.

I want to drive with you looking for a bar, once I shaped the ears how I liked them I took the rest of the wire and started by wrapping it around the bottom of where the ears connected and then just weaving it in and out around the ear and this will give it more depth and dimension so that the ear remains firm. I went out a little more and then did the same on the other ear. I ended up using two packages of this wire for both ears and for the little

ative wrap I made for them.

Now I'm just going to connect the ears. the smaller top part of the crown, which is the bunny's head, so I'm just going to weave that little piece at the bottom of the ear into the crown on both ears and then secure it with a little bit of hot glue. We won't see this long term, so it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it's safe. Now I wanted to give my bunny a succulent wreath instead of a floral wreath, which I see a lot in Easter

decor

, so I had these succulents that are from Dollar Tree, they are a lighter color.
I think they are very pretty. I had two of each and I'm going to hot glue them around the top of the bunny's head and around the ears to cover the bottom of the ears and as you can see here they were a little difficult to glue with hot glue, so you'll want to hot glue them together, but you need to hold them down and make sure they stay in place before you continue. To the next succulents, once they were all secured, I decided I needed some moss between the succulents, so I should have added the moss before adding the succulents, but I didn't think about it until after the fact, so I just I was.
I went ahead and grabbed some Spanish moss from Dollar Tree and added some hot glue to it and just put little clumps around the succulents and around the back of the bunny's head and it worked perfectly, then I just added a hanger with a bit of twine by hot gluing it. back and that was it for the second DIY. I'm going to use three of these ceramic bunnies from Dollar Tree. I had two from last year, so I had already taken the hangers off the heads, so this one I'm just going to show you that I just took it out, you just had to be very gentle and take it out so that you don't break the bunny's head.
You can use little, don't use pliers if that works better for you, but they are very easy to remove. The next thing I'm going to do is use a 3-pack of small terra cotta pots from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to place a pot on the head and ears of each bunny so that the pot fits properly. a little tilted in the head and ears. I just used hot glue to secure them, but you could use e6000 or something stronger to give it a stronger hold now since a couple of my bunnies were from last year and I had already painted them. one of them white, I think I wanted everything to be cohesive so I went ahead and gave everything a coat of cream colored chalk paint to make it look like everything looked cohesive and looked like it was ceramic from top to bottom. but I like the color of the terracotta pot and the ceramic bunny I wanted to mix it up next.
I grabbed these flowers from Dollar Tree. I had a couple bouquets left over from last year and I just ripped the stems and flowers out of there. I liked the leaves and flowers I liked and just placed them inside the pots. I didn't use styrofoam or anything, I just stuck them in each of the pots, lastly I had three of these little chalkboards. there's Dollar Tree science involved so I used my whiteboard marker and wrote jump on all three and then I just placed one in each pot and I think this turned out really cute for Easter.
I'm telling you about the city when I met you. I hear my favorite son asleep when you caught my attention with the way you are nobody. Nobody's leg seems to be yours for the latest DIY. I found one of these little decorative frames from Dollar Tree and really liked it. the blue color on the outside was like a grayish bluish color so I'm going to leave that color but I'm going to go ahead and remove the middle and sand the inside so that way it takes my paint a lot better because it's like a slippery surface on the interior and simply painted it with two coats of white chalk paint.
Now I'm going to take that little round circle and sand it a little bit again so it's not so shiny. it takes the paint much better and I just mixed some black acrylic paint and some white chalk paint until I got a nice gray color, it was kind of similar to the box and the box frame and then I just painted it with one coat of that and then I made this free printable that I'll link below in the description box for you that says "Someone Loves You" and I made it that way, it would be a pretty perfect circle to fit on top of. this circle already, so I took some Mod Podge and stuck it on top of that circle.
I didn't cover it with Mod Podge because I have an inkjet printer and it will smear everywhere, so I left it like that and then came back. once it was dry and I sanded the edges, I just distressed it a little more, then hot glued it to the center of my box and lastly to give my frame a little bunny detail. I'm going to use my ears. From this little burlap basket from Dollar Tree I just used a seam ripper to remove the ears that were attached there and along three small seams, so it really wasn't difficult at all to remove and I'm just going to use a little bit of hot water. glue to stick them together at the bottom so the ears have a little pucker in the middle if that makes sense so they aren't just one dimensional and then I hot glue them to the back of the frame, I still thought that They were too flat, so I went ahead and brought them up a bit and hot glued them to the top of the frame as well to give them a little more of that puckered feel for lighting.
I love how this little frame turned out and I love the saying. I think it's very cute. Thank you all so much for watching today. I hope you enjoyed these DIYs. Be sure to like this video.
