Make this faux wood bow, so we're going to measure the center of our foam board, which is 10 inches, and measure it all the way to the bottom. The easiest way for me was to take some masking tape and put it directly in the middle to be our middle seam and then for all the edges on the outside I put two pieces of tape because that's how thick I wanted it.

I measured it and two pieces of tape are about two inches and one of course is 1 inch so I attached the tape. all the way around except the top, for the top I'm measuring where I wanted it to curve so I wanted it to curve about 8 inches down from the center and the ribbon you see at the top is just the middle line if you have any wire or anything that curves that will help draw the line or get just a rough sketch and then you'll measure about 2 inches above that and make the same curve and then we'll add two more curves on the inside, which should only be about an inch thick, a lot of this was just an estimate and a sketch, as long as everything is pretty even and the inside is an inch and the outside is two inches, it should look good right here.

I'm just measuring. about an inch down just to give it a little bit better structure and then just trace around all the tape, then go ahead and remove all the tape so you get a straight line when cutting. I'm using a metal ruler that I bought. from Dollar Tree and go ahead and just trace everything we did before and cut out all the pieces in between. Now it's time to paint everything using Waverley Chalk Paint in the mineral color and then to make it a little distressed, I'm Using Waverly Chalk Paint in Hazelnut for the metal pieces on the inside, you'll need three trellises from Dollar Tree for the top.

I cut both end pieces and then lined them up where I wanted and made Mark right where I need to cut it after cutting it you just need to hot glue it on the back and then for the last two parts just make marks where you see I am marking and then we're going to hot glue it on the Back also for the wreath on the front, I'm using one of these wreath frames from Dollar Tree and then the greenery I have here is just a garland from one of my local craft stores . This is probably one of my favorite ways to make. wreaths is just grabbing a wreath and then putting the garland on it and zip tying it, then it's tying everything up just cut off the excess and then to attach it I'm grabbing two zip ties and just zip tying it to the two parts that meet in the middle For this project, we will be using the Shower Caddy from Dollar Tree and these Five Gallon Stir Sticks from Walmart.

What I'm doing is measuring the entire width of the shower caddy and we're going to mark it there and cut it out so we can make some wooden shelves. There will be two pieces of wood that will go on the shelf like this and then what we'll do with the white shower caddy is we'll go ahead and spray in This Rust-oleum Antique Pewter we'll have the link for that in the description below. To cut it we used to use these little hand saws that you get at Dollar Tree, however it takes a lot longer and we found that it just doesn't.
It doesn't make an even cut, it ends up cutting sideways, so we ended up buying this jigsaw and it's very affordable. We'll have a link in the description below, but I highly suggest getting one of these, it will make your life easier. It's so much easier while we're waiting for the paint to dry on the shower caddy, we can go ahead and start painting these bottles, which are just little milk bottles that we got from Dollar Tree. We are using chalk paint, this is from Waverly and the white color next we can move on to stain the wood, we use this dark walnut from Minwax and we put a good coat of stain on all of these pieces that way they will look a little more rustic and

once we put them in the shower. cart for the scouring pad we're going to use this green scouring pad from Dollar Tree and we're going to wet it that way we can use a little bit of this wet scouring pad method, as you can see it comes out really well and I feel like the scouring pad gives a little bit more control and Easier to de-stress instead of just using a damp cloth.
Once the paint has dried on the shower caddy we can go ahead and attach the wood for the shelves and all we use is just a little bit of hot glue to stick them together. I found it easier to just glue it from the back, here put a few drops of glue on the ends and then in the middle and then just hold the wood down. You will notice that one of these sticks has a slight curve to it. The end is from when we cut it, so what I did was place one on the back of each one that way, it was a little less noticeable.
The last part of this project is to fill the milk bottles with greenery or flowers. It's some lavender from Dollar Tree, it's pretty nice, but we prefer this from Walmart, as you can see this big package was only three

dollar

s from Walmart. I think it looks much better than one from Dollar Tree, but you can use whatever you prefer, we're done. Use three of the lavender pieces and then some greenery to fill it and make sure to cut it to the right size so it doesn't stick out as much Once you have filled the milk bottles with the lavender, the last part is to place them in the shopping cart. shower and then for this last project, we're going to take one of these wreath shapes, so to make each windmill panel, I'm measuring every four and a half inches at the top. of this foam board and that is the length of the top and then the actual length of all of them is 10 inches and then the end you will need 8 panels total now just connect your line at 4 and 1/2 inches down to your line at 3 and 1/2 inches on all of them, after doing all of this I realized it would have been a little easier to just make a template and then trace it and make eight.
If you did this, I would definitely make one, no matter how big you are. wanted it and then just trace that and then for the center cancel out anything that's circular and now it's time to take out all the pieces after cutting all the panels we're going to use truffle mineral and hazelnut all from Waverly chalk paint and Here I'm starting with minerals and painting them all, then I go with hazelnut with a sponge just to make it a little more distressed and finally a little bit of truffle right on the edges and then that piece that We had that that came with the crown for him that will go in the middle, so go ahead and animate that too and then stick that piece of metal directly into the circle to connect everything.
I'm using these extra long skewers that I got from Dollar Tree, you can see before that I made a mistake and used smaller skewers. I didn't like how it turned out, so I definitely recommend using these longer ones here. I'm just measuring how long they are, they're 36 inches long, so I just cut them in half and then I'm going to apply them with diluted truffle paint to give it a more spotted look, so you can see here where I use the smaller skewer, which I definitely don't I would recommend, so I'm going to heat it up. stick this other skewer on, try to get it in the middle as much as possible and you're going to line up the end of the skewer all the way to the top here.
I'm just measuring the center of the circle so we can draw. four lines, so we have a template for where to place the skewers. Now place hot glue on all those lines and glue the skewers to the circle. Once this is done, it's time to add the circular wreath shape we had in from the beginning and add it to the back, try to place it as central as possible. I measured it, it's 14 inches so make sure there is 7 inches in the middle and then once it's centered go ahead and hot glue all the parts together. skewers when I flipped them looked a little plain to me so I added a little more distress with white chalk paint.
Next we move on to these push pins, you're going to need 16 of them and I'm going to jazz them up using block paint, a little bit of Waverly Chalk Paint in the color truffle and then also Waverly Chalk Paint in Hazelnut and then just add two to each panel just right. where is the circle thanks for watching guys we hope you enjoyed today's video be sure to Subscribe and hit the Bell icon to get notified every time we upload a new video.
