I used a razor blade, but scissors would work too and now you're ready for some magic. Use some wide clear tape like I used here and masking tape works too, but it seems a little difficult to work with. since it's a little bit heavier I prefer the clear tape since it's lighter and you can see through it to put it on and you just tear off the label and keep working and twisting and it will remove the label from there now you want to clean your CD.

I created squares that measure three-quarters of an inch because this gave me the most benefit. my cds, but you can, you can make them whatever size works best for your project, take your clean cd and place it centered on the grid lines. I recommend opening a window and turning on your stove exhaust fan if you have one not only for heat, but also, and a box fan is a good idea. The first time I tried this project, I noticed an expected baked paint and plastic smell, but adding extra circulation with fans in an open window helped keep the smell to a minimum. Place the tiles in the oven and set the timer for 15 minutes. Take a look at the edges, they should be slightly curved downwards to show that those two squares have been mixed together well and the bubbles also indicate that they are fired after letting the tiles cool.
For 15 minutes, you can start peeling them off the spool and they come off pretty easily, as you can see, and look like they're ready for a project. They look good. This is what happens when you bake the tiles while they are. Even wet, you get these bubbles that form from the moisture and they can be cool and unique and you can use them anyway. I will use them for sure. I hope you enjoyed this video on how to make mosaics from CDs. It's so much fun to do and with such rewarding results.
