Let's paint these walls a crisp white. I'm choosing the ultra pure white from bare. I usually go for a warmer tone. white, but in a bathroom like this I want the white to really match the sinks and the tub and just brighten everything up. If you're excited to see this whole makeover come to life, give this video a big thumbs up right now and let's go. Go ahead and start painting, as you can see I already have all the edges taped with my frog tape, it's my favorite type of painter's tape. I'm going to go around all the edges and corners, as well as remove the electrical plates and this medicine cabinet. door I'm not going to have the door here anymore.

I want to have more of an open shelving area, so I'm just filling in these holes where the hinges were and letting it dry before I paint over it and that's just going to give you kind of a smooth open shelving, look over there and then , going ahead and painting each wall, I ended up having to use two coats of paint to cover the bathroom and painting a bathroom is definitely harder than a bedroom, there is so much to go around. in little corners but it ended up looking great so today I decided to paint all the trim white just when you see all of this it's very bright and then when the floor is finished and the vanities painted this trim is just really going to bother me , so today I'm going to go around painting all this, there really isn't much and then for the door, I'm going to paint the trim white, but I'm still deciding what I want to do on the door.

It's either going to go completely white so it's going to be clean or I'm going to choose an accent color, maybe something that deviates from what the vanity is going to be and it's going to be like a nice feature door, maybe change the knob, but for now we'll do it. finish all the little trim pieces now. I'm really excited to start choosing paint colors for the powder room, so I have all of these here and as you can see, I want to go with a blue-gray color, especially since I chose this floor sample, so I didn't mention this before, but I'm going to be making peel and stick tiles on these floors and this is just one of the samples that came in, they're from Floor Pops and I got a 10 pack of 12 by 12 tiles for $11 so I bought about four or five packs to make this entire floor.
I love this idea because you know you can cover the floor but if you don't like it or want to change it you can You can just peel it off so that's awesome but aren't they so cool? They come in all these trendy patterns and it's literally just a big sticker like this one, it's so sticky and yeah, you can just peel them off so I think this is really it. Great way to get a nice apartment for a lot less now that I see this down here with the white walls. I want to do something a little bolder on the cabinets here and then I also ordered some new knobs and pulls from Amazon. to replace all of those, so I'm going to go with the silver ones because we'll keep the original faucets.
I know they're not the best but this is a

budget

change and I'm doing what I can to make them all look good together so I spent a lot of time yesterday at Home Depot looking at paint colors thinking I was going to decide on something and I ended up bringing literally every bit of paint from the store and just staring at them in the bathroom all night, so I think I have the one I want to choose. I glued these two options on the cabinets. Yes, and in the store I found a dresser in this color and I really liked it, but when I brought it here it's a little boring. dark for me, I actually really like this one, it's called mountain pine, if you can imagine the cabinets are that dark and then the door is more of a sage green and my floor just arrived.
I'm so excited I haven't even taken off my jacket I'm so excited to see them Wow okay I have all five packs here look at these tiles a pack was eleven dollars and I think it's usually thirteen or fourteen but I found a code someone's online coupon and I used it. so I have an extra fifteen percent discount or something like that, we have to start moving here. I feel encouraged and excited. Now moving on to the vanity makeover, the first thing I have to do is remove all the hardware, so that's it, pull on the hinges and knobs, it looks a little more daunting than it is, trust me, it just You unscrew it and it comes off, so I'm collecting all these pieces.
The knobs are super easy, you just turn them. and I'm putting them all in a ziploc bag in case I want to use them in the future and then I'm sanding the entire unit to get it really rough. I'm just using a block of 120 grit sandpaper and yeah. Then taking off all of these doors, I'm taping the screws that hold all the hinges on the back so I don't lose them and starting on the paint, so look how beautiful this mountain pine color is, it looks so good painted . on these cabinets, so I'm just going through all the drawers because I can't take them out and I'm just painting all the edges and then filling them all in.
It's actually not difficult at all and this happened very, very quickly. and then for the cabinet doors, I put them in cups so they don't touch the floor and I can get all the edges out and roll them out with my foam roller again, doing all the edges and getting into all the crevices. It will be much easier on a shaker style cabinet, but these are much more detailed and have a lot of edges, but the color and finish look amazing on these. I would make this again hundreds of times, it was so simple, so it's next. day I waited all night for all my doors and the entire vanity to dry, now I'm going to put all the doors back in and put in my new hardware so this is much more modern and matches our faucets over there so I wanted I really like putting everything together and having all the same metals, so those will be the knobs and these will be the posts for the doors and they were such a good price.
I think I bought five of these poles for $13 and I think I got Like I don't know, 12 of these for 13, a really good price, so let's go ahead and put everything back together. Before ordering any hardware, make sure you get the correct size. These are three-inch studs, which means the center-to-center marking of the screw holes is three inches apart, so be sure to measure that before getting new hardware. It's also another option if you don't want to get new hardware like this and want to get the old ones back, you can always spray paint them and refinish them. giving them a different finish, that's always a good option, but look at the difference this makes.
I love how modern you made this cabinet look so now it honestly makes the sink look better because it used to be kind of an eyesore and it just stood out and didn't. Look closely, but now that everything matches up, it works together and is less monstrous, so it was definitely a good idea. Many of you are probably wondering what the heck we are going to do with this counter because it looks brown. Now let's cover it with my handy dandy marble contact paper. I've never used this before, but I just tried it on this little piece here and it totally brightens up the bathroom.
Look, this is finally the look I want. that will go all over the counter and give you a temporary solution, it's very smooth and much shinier, so I'm going to peel it off to show you how easy it is to peel off, plus I'm going to start all over again, so I have a perfect look, but look how sticky it is, it's a great solution to cover something, look it's actually quite difficult to remove, but it's also simple and doesn't tear or anything. Wow! super strong, so as I mentioned, my plan was to roll this whole strip up on the counter and have it look perfect, but I found it very difficult to do it all myself, so I think it's definitely a two person job. having to cut a seam right in the middle of the countertop;
I don't know how to handle it better, it was easier to work on smaller pieces, but I think this contact paper is amazing for finishing countertops, it gave this bathroom a whole new look. It can be cleaned, it is durable and when it no longer lasts I can take it off and redo the whole thing. This literally only costs $30 and totally changes everything, no more brown countertops. I finally have the look I want. I can't get over this, okay now? I'm looking at this horrible shower curtain with those cute little shower rings that need to come off now, so let's replace it right now with a new shower curtain.
Maybe I'll do a complete shower makeover, maybe in another video where I totally transform her. well on a

budget

but for now we are just going to hang a new shower curtain to liven this all up and it will look so much better now just finishing off the counter by lifting up all the edges this really gives it a seamless look and makes the countertop look really real so I definitely recommend doing this if you're using contact paper and look how amazing it looks around the sink now on the floors. These floors are the original ones that were always here, so I have never seen any other floors in this bathroom.
The only thing that really makes them look old is the brown grout, so if it was white it would definitely freshen things up here, so if you have tiles that look like this one option would be to just freshen up as much of the grout as you can. go with a white stick and whiten all that out or try these floor pops and I'm just going to experiment with these to see how they fit and how they look and they also have a thickness so it's not just like a little sticker if they're really thick and durable so I'm going to place them all over the floor and see how they look because I'm a little torn.
I do? I do not do it. This would change drastically. everything, so I might try and experiment with them. You can see the different patterns they have, but I'm going to test them for you, be the guinea pig for all of you and see if they work, so I'm just getting started. This is done by laying out all the tiles to determine where they are going to go and I have all my tools ready, scissors, Exacta knife, cutting board, a pen, and that will help me make all the cuts around all these edges, so the initials.
It was definitely a little bit more difficult to start just because I wanted to have a cross strip that was perfectly aligned, so I made all my cuts based on the backing sheet that comes off the adhesive that way, it's the same size as the mosaic, you can lay it down, draw where the cuts need to be and then you can make them on the tile so they fit perfectly so once I started with the first row it was very simple to just lay them all out, peel and stick and press and it looked amazing so I made this all the way down, it's a very repetitive but very simple job, especially in a bathroom like this where it's just a long rectangle and then the toilet space worried me a little bit.
In the bathroom I thought it would be a little more difficult, but it really wasn't. You just draw a shape on the tile to cut it out and grow it bigger and bigger as you go until it fits, that's how I did it. It was because I looked at it and it worked really well, so it was very easy to turn the bathroom around and get this tile job done so quickly. Can you even believe these floors right now? I'm like going crazy. This looks so good. my little center cut but wow that was the easiest thing I should have done so long ago it almost looks like I painted the floor so with a stencil it's also very smooth and they're all even and there's no grout so Honestly , I'm going to leave them below in the description box.
This is not sponsored by the way it was like I was completely trying out a product and I think it's amazing. Another way to make these floors look even better is to simply Caulk all the edges around the trim and tub gives it a really seamless look. I know many of you wanted to see a new lamp here, but this one will stay for now, theWe will change at a later date. At least I'm going to make all the bulbs the same light color, so I'll change them all to be warm white and I'll also transform this door, so finally I'll change this knob, it doesn't match any of them. of the finishes since it is the only brass thing in here and painting the door this beautiful sage gray color.
I'm painting this entire door using this five dollar sample from Home Depot, so it's definitely an inexpensive little makeover you can do to a space. I was inspired by seeing this image on Instagram. I love the color of the door so I thought it would look great here too. To be honest, this was the first time I painted a door. This makeover actually had a lot of new additions, but this made me want to paint each one. house door I love the way this looks, a colored door is so trendy right now so definitely give it a try if you want to try something new in your space, if you don't want to paint all the walls maybe just try painting yours . door so once the door was dry I put a new knob on it and that way all the metals in the bathroom match and it makes everything look new and fresh so it was definitely a great addition to this space so it's the last and The last day of this makeover I finished all the big changes here, now it's time to decorate, put things on the walls, bring all of our bathroom accessories and show you the final result.
I'm going to find my mom and show her her mark. -new bathroom, okay, ready to see it so busy, this is amazing in Makri, I can't believe it, it looks so much bigger.
