Disney Channel Original Movies

Jun 06, 2021
Hi, I'm Snake Titties from Snakey Montana and you're watching the Disney Channel. When you're a kid, there aren't many things you feel like you have control over. Your bedtime, your meals, your clothes, your body. Other people are always deciding these things for you, whether it's your parents or God (and Jesus), and for us, BuzzFeed's fucking elite and superior quiz: "Which Shrek character are you, '90s babies?" Entertainment was also something that often seemed out of our control. Because when your small town doesn't have an active movie theater, and your older sister doesn't want to take you to rent a movie, and some other motherfucker already rented the animated Lord of the Rings movie from the library. (DAMN IT) Not only was there a damn iPad in there with Netflix that could entertain me for several eternities, but there was also a well-worn VHS tape of A Goofy Movie that we rented from the library and made something of. called "never take it back", there was something else.

Something specifically aimed at kids like me that understood what I was going through, respected my interests, and taught me valuable life lessons about how my grandmother could be a witch! Something called... Or more specifically, along with CMT's country music videos with Billy Gilman, Disney Channel Original Movies were the things that got me and my sisters really excited. The moment you saw that kid doing a fat cannonball on a film reel and that other kid in the background doing a fucking 360 split jump, you knew you were about to see some girls pretending to be boys to being able to ride dirt bikes. !

. A Disney Channel Original Movie can vary in genre and quality, but there are often some pretty consistent ingredients found in all of them. There's always that one kid whose parents don't understand, or in the case of Brink's, Peter, Parrot, and Jerry. "I have a mom... and a Jerry. Do the math. That's a father." Yeah, fuck you, Jerry! They are always doing something or experiencing something new, like moving to a different state, going to military school, going to Earth, becoming an elf.

There's always a little love interest, like a cool guy on a skateboard with a broken arm, or the president's daughter, or a curious bisexual guy on a dirt bike. There's always a bully, sometimes they look like Michael Jackson. There's always an asshole dad who doesn't approve of whatever the kid does, and a really hot mom, aka a MILF. The child overcomes the challenge by winning a race, slowly spinning a bowling ball, or sealing a vampire, and then learns a valuable life lesson like "Damn! I need to follow my heart and do what I want to do no matter what." people do." Think of me!" Or "Damn, friendship is so much more important than money and fame." Or "My mom can't date a vampire.
What are you talking about?" Dad finally comes over and says things like, "We're having a big party at our house this afternoon and everyone's invited!" The kids dance, they freeze the dirt bikes, thank you. And... . scene. But even if many of these

movies

were very similar, some really stood out and dealt with difficult topics! Like what it's like to grow up with a brother who has autism, or how you shouldn't be fucking racist, or how you probably shouldn't quit. let your house try to be your MOM! This shit was like fucking Black Mirror for kids long before the real Black Mirror.
Do you know that in the movie they talked to the house and used voice commands to make it do things? Hi Alexa, do you? sound familiar? If I ever have a Google Home or Alexa, I'll just name the smart home. But a lot of them, IMHO, are quality family

movies

. I mean, there's a reason I use Horse Sense at heart. of every video I've made. I appreciate this shit. High school musical is good. And you know it's good, and you can BET that the sequel, Zequel, won't be as good, but the third one hit theaters and I feel like that's a sign of growth.
I honestly haven't seen the third one yet, so I don't know, but, new year, new me, let's be optimistic, right? And this isn't just nostalgia, I'm well aware that nostalgia plays a big role on this

channel

, but seriously, screw it. Last night I was watching Johnny Tsunami, alone, and I was still laughing with Grandpa. "You have to come back for this. Hehehehe!" But I honestly don't know what the fuck Disney is doing now other than giving every dollar to the man because they own Marvel and Capcom. Because the next decom coming out that no one asked for is a live-action Kim Possible, which possibly looks like my big toe, but then Drew Gordon remade it and it won several Golden Globes, so, I don't know, blessing. type of meme in disguise, or...
I'm very tired. And looking at the Wikipedia page on Disney Channel Original Movies made me realize two things: DCOMs gradually reduced their quality and

original

ity over the years for some reason, I don't really know why. And Z, I stopped watching sometime in 2008 because that's when High School Musical 2 and Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board came out and they both made me want to jump on a board and get out of a dam again. And while these early DCOMs were the main source of entertainment when I was a kid, I felt like they were actually cared for and understood and gave me an incredible sense of anticipation and excitement every time a new one was released.
It's not just a nostalgic feeling because I still feel it. But it's for YouTube. Yeah, there are like 10 quadrillion issues with the platform from Hurricane Katrina right now and my almost 40 minute video on Red Dead 2 that I worked hard on for like two months was copyrighted for LITERALLY four seconds of George Michael - Careless Whisper. playing in the background, which I guess is my fault, it was... it was copyrighted and that... all of that really bothers me, but still, this website is awesome. Every new channel I find is like a hundred Disney Channel Original Movies in one.
Watching the premiere of Phantom of the Megaplex is the same feeling I get when a new Content Cop comes out. Halloween town? That's just Markiplier playing Five Nights. The "Cheetah Girls? Those are just commentary channels because I feel like they're all friends with each other. Even my Philly D, you beautiful bastard, was just Mike on a super short show. I think you get what I mean. So which one is the point of this video? The point is new year, new me. I'm going to really appreciate things, I'm going to finish a bunch of damn songs and do things I've wanted to do for a long time, starting with making a video about.
Disney Channel Original Movies So that's your point I want to be like a Disney Channel Original Movie thanks for watching the subtitles.
