Defend Your Amazon HistoryFeb 27, 2020
we learned from the comments on the last video most of y'all are probably in the bathroom right now dude that's the booty with her wedding soon son she's watching it's very very hard to make something fake look real I think you will be surprised. look how much a runner video changes in editing a few weeks ago we went out and shot a zombie video for the undead now we actually shot an infinite amount of videos because i would give this footage to any different editor here or in the world i would get something different of each one somehow somewhere there is a perfect combination of these shots with the perfect cuts and the perfect edits that will give maximum emotional punch to this video i need to find that if you don't do a good job of
yourediting it let down all the thousands, if not millions, of people who will see
yourvideo, so I'm sitting here with the edit.
I want to show you how much this has changed, improved and rebounded. g from adrian myself to sam i think you'll be surprised to see how much a runner video changes in editing subscribe first a quick disclaimer you'll notice the footage looks very flat at first that's because everything is in it's record color state in which the colors are very very flat for color grading so here's the moment we reveal the zombie to jake he's been under a tarp in a cage the whole time who's lying now untie the door guilty zombies things i notice as a director when i shot this one who's lying now that line reads a little weird unless the gate goes a long dead time before i yell that which makes it feel like a slow reaction the gate doesn't it has a lot of impact when it lands on the ground. it hits at the bottom of the frame and the next reaction is not the zombie going off explosively but the captain basically yelling what just happened is the door just opened the zombie needs to go off it just needs to be a burst of energy and we thought, oh wait, it's a wide shot, he's coming running towards the camera, so there's not a lot of real kinetic movement in the frame, all the pieces are there, we can see it's one cohesive scene, but I think there's a lot of it. ways we can hit. above we learned from the comments on the last video that most of you are probably in the bathroom right now let me say thank you for spending your time with us here in the digital corridor today we are going to go everybody and do what is called uh stand up for your
amazonstory now no one knows this is coming and hashtag no regrets i know you recently went vegan i figure we're going to see a lot of that here uh protein bars garden of life protein bars hey they're good disposable wipes cleanses for men butt wipes those are good to have yeah poo pourri before you go toilet spray that's just i use that's just common sense you got some uh hanes striped boxer baits you got those nowadays I do hi danny how are you getting ready for yours getting ready for yours just looking at what I bought it's not much just erasing all the gallons and gallons s of lube i have ordered my search
historysomething you haven't taken the plunge in miso yet organic we have a pair of white briefs here how trendy are you look at this guy look at this look at this guy man if you popped in that carmichael guy with these pants i mean wow he'll be almost as hip as sam you're a pretty normal guy i have a lot of murder weapons in my
historyi don't want to be connected to these murders let's see you haven't bought anything on amazon since the 13th january i dont really use amazon that much i bought a new mic a mic stand xlr cable what are you recording dude new music young face dude thats my rapper alter ego i gotta do those tracks i noticed in your cart you got some weight protein you go to the gym you can't get swallowed yeah i've been trying to swole but i haven't ordered it yet because i just went to the grocery store a couple of t too this is kind of interesting per what these are uh all five xl t shirts this was for halloween uh i was cusco from the new emperor beat so i had to wear like a long red dress basically so i just ordered a really big t shirt thats what i only ordered two from amazon in the last six months but someone made this book called milk and vine which has a lot of fine quotes giving no credit to the original people who made it. the vines and it was the number one seller in amazon bookstore none of my vines are in it so I'm not really mad I wasn't credited I'm just a little mad it wasn't in the book Oh these are my fries favorites they only make them in Chicago and they only sell them in Chicago so I was trying to see if I could order them on Amazon can you?
I don't think so but they are currently not available, here is my version. who's lying now unless the door is ok not too dissimilar to adrien's but some not noticeable differences things are a little tighter overall less dead space finally tried to add more impact to the door opening and closing open up close up all in slow motion and fall in front of camera but my exploding shot sorry it's close now -up from the side so the movement when triggered is much more intense now there are still a few issues here that sam noticed when sat down oh it's color coded now enjoy jake's line whose line is now completely missing in place let's get straight to the action those lines didn't exist side by side in the script but sam can manipulate them so that look that way now we're kind of at it so it's a lot more explosive the zombie just comes screaming out that door now this is my version where i went back and made my final cut i looked at what sam did i liked the lava stuff but there's one thing i was missing and that's the open door scoring i'm a big proponent of having a good pace in your edits here it's like fast fast fast slow fast fast fast slow and when you do that you hit to the audience an idea of what's important people love stacks more than rewards no one will tell you that but it's true anyway here is the final version unless the door oh there you have it very intense you have everyone the characters there you know emotionally where the people are we have some pacing we have some style changing the cinematography to really emphasize the fact that the door is open and then the boom explodes out of the door they say a movie is written three times once in the script deals with the script of course you're literally writing the movie on set it goes to the actors and they're playing it and it all changes what you're actually shooting and ending mind in editing because you can rearrange, cut, add, and manipulate the footage you have to communicate information to the viewer.
I wouldn't do this to anyone without doing it to myself as well so how often do you guys use amazon? so a lot almost daily there like once a week he the story of my life by iceberg slim yeah um so i was watching dave chappelle and he was talking about how iceberg slim wrote a book i like to read all kinds of books but one One of my most interesting favorite types of reads is when you read something that is from someone who has a completely different take on everything you do well, two packs of long Indian skirts. you didn't order this you bought half the studio supplies on your own no you just used to buy them from mine then used the corridor to find out who it is oh that's the third time today idiot let's go to the history of navigation, who is looking for. in suits you're pregnant i wasn't looking at suits wendy was looking at suits she's trying to dress you she tried to dress you what is this suit she's looking at suits for me this is a three piece suit with a oh look k-pop she's looking at suit s friend ooh fancy white suit that's the swag at your wedding soon son she's looking for suits for me son she's trying to dress me up exciting things ladies and gentlemen seeing the good if you want yes we need lights everyone buy well then i got these for my family those christmas presents great christmas presents cause there's a sale soon you get the four pack i got my parents one my brother one you bought your parents light bulbs for a christmas sorry dude they're not just light bulbs man they're re cute basically these light bulbs let you connect via wi-fi and control on your phone so my room doesn't get sunlight in the morning so i have a timer on my room that basically adjusts all the lights to the temperature of the sunlight does this just use this wi-fi or use it like z-waves no it's just wi-fi because you can plug it in so these are great man it's well i have the complete works of julius caesar it's a great read really a good read because this guy's life was so crazy my friend liked the amount of campaigns he did and the amount of problem solving he had to do as a leader was this, it just makes you think why buy that?
Can you share that with me? I can lend you that one here. Go guys enjoy this ok ready what list do you want to see? The 80s, the middle of the 80s, no, just because wow, they have a lot of lists, of course they have a lot of lists. list of 1300 degree smokeless solid fuel tablets oh just crack crack and fire yeah ok this is probably the most expensive thing in the whole solar power bank thats great can you share this ready with me, president, do i have some running hiking socks? work wear dude classic ties yeah all this is what you gotta get you gotta bury yourself somewhere its a foot funnel so she can go potty in the wild you stand and pee like a guy shes gonna have to squat somewhere it's nice it's nice c lever that's one of the things that after a week they throw you out of the bag so we have this this beauty those are amazing they just filter the most horrible water and make drinking water clean tactical pants pants butts of course a waterproof duffel bag 75 liter waterproof a good idea when you're cooking you don't want the wind blowing out your fire emergency thermal blanket for two wow 50 liter waterproof backpacks normally intended for front yards and stuff , yea spiky lanterns you just use solar power and put around your camp that's a good idea this is a great list I'm really impressed , a lanyard and a compass in one so you always have a direction can you share this list with me mm-hmm ok i have a first aid kit has been an apprenticeship? adventure here this is where it gets dicey though food servings 3,600 calories per loaf three day surprise is like elven bread could have a five year shelf life which is real life limbo per loaf what it actually comes down to of the number of calories that Right now I have waterproof phosphor tablets per day that you can start cleaning with water. years of work you're going to get out of all this alive if i ever place an order i think it's a good way to understand how your life has changed look at your amazon history or wish list on this The Walking Dead video commissioned me to make the visual effects and I wanted to talk about one of them that was a well planned shot that I think went really well and he gets stabbed and it's supposed to come out of his chest. like he was stabbed in the back and for the actual physical shot they actually put the stake in like he didn't know it was attached to some kind of plate under his clothing the spike is there on camera in the real life shot really is there what we could have done is hav If he goes like and has like a cg spike there it's very very hard to make something fake look real what's easy is to do it for real and then erase it where you don't want it , the idea here is that we're literally just going to paint the spike for the beginning of the shot, the first two frames, but the thing is, I wanted to stretch that out to like seven or eight frames to really show the spike slowly emerging, paint the steak that there is no steak at all. the steak covers most of the bottom so you trace the bottom then trace it onto a clean plate there should be a peak sticking out but there isn't because we only see the steel frame of the bottom which I traced in boom just like that i covered it with a shoulder piece the crazy thing about doing effects like this is if you're literally looking at this under a microscope it's terrible this is rubbish it's not perfectly blended but you know what matters ain't nobody goi i don't care about that because it will be covered with a spike that will stick out so you won't even have a chance to really look at it and that brings me to the spike itself.
Normally for something like this you would basically just take a still frame of the spike to animate going from the inside of his chest out like revealing it behind a mask the problem is that every time you use a still frame you don't actually it changes a lot and if it's moving it should at least change it's a very subtle detail that your eyes will catch but you're brian you're brian your brian might not realize it's less about trying to add something and more about having it there to start andremoving it where it is isn't necessary so what I actually did here is I mounted the spike to each frame here up to about this point and then it slowly shoots out here and then at this point here all the bottom plates have gone a little bit of the spike animated gone it's now the original footage and it continues that way for the rest of the take here to match this I threw in like a little blood splatter it's supposed to be there to fill the void because you know you just got stabbed. it sells the shot it's not my visual effects it's the realistic movement where brett gets stabbed he makes it look like he got stabbed from behind it sells it with his movement it's not that simple in terms of execution but it's simple in theory just that there's a spike there, you have it for the whole take and when you're actually getting stabbed, you paint it and animate the stabbing coming up and then the effect is done.
