is a 2008 mitsubishi eclipse and this thing is reallydirty
so take a look around this car and almost every inch is covered in dirt as the roads have been wet anddirty
for the last bit so from the wheels to the wheel wells and especially the rear is super dirty now moving around inside the car and it only gets worse as i am immediately hit with the smell of cigarette smoke and can quickly see thevehicle
is not It's been cleaned up in a long, long time so there's trash and all sorts of dirt and grime and ash everywhere I look and now just before I jump into the video please take a second and subscribe to the channel so I don't have to.Don't miss any future videos like this, I post a new video every week so make sure you have the bell turned on so you get notified when they're posted, that's ok, I definitely have a lot of work for me on this. one so sit back, relax and enjoy the
transformation
. ok so i started with the prewash rinse here and i know some of you have asked how these vehicles get so dirty on the outside and honestly with the snow and salt on the roads here in canada if the temps are close. zero the roads will be a mess resulting in about 90 percent of the vehicles on the road looking like this or sometimes even worse and I also thought I'd let you know if you stick around until the end of this video I'll see the reaction from the customer, which isn't something I can always film for you guys, so I hope you enjoy it now moving to the back of the car where most of the dirt is and I have to say that's great. its nice to be working on a car for a change y'all know i own a lot of trucks most of them are silverados or sierras so its nice to not have to deal with carpeted wheel liners and also have a small vehicle in should let me figure this one out much quicker today so now even though this car has plastic liners in the wheel wells there's still tons of dirt in them as you can tell by what's accumulating on the garage floor, So if you're curious and want to see how I clean up the garage after a detail like this, go check it out. my second channel detail expert 2 just posted a garagecleaning
video a couple of days ago showing the entirecleaning
process including floor drain so with wheels and paint as clean as i can with the pressure washer i am using a bit of my meguire iron remover because i noticed quite a few small rust spots on the car so what it does is it safely dissolves those iron particles that are stuck to the paint and then of spraying a bit and letting it sit for a few minutes It will react with any iron and turn purple so as you can see there was a bit all over the car then I'm going to rinse it off quickly because this is by far the worst smelling product I've ever I have used, it smells exactly. like raw sewage and it's unbelievably potent every time I open my cupboard with all my chemicals in it I get a nice smell but it definitely works great so I guess I can't complain too much so with the car covered in a nice thick lather I'll go around with my boar hair detail brush to get down into all the crevices and get the dirt my wash mitt can't miss and if you're curious where you can get these factory detail brushes I use the link is in the description so feel free to check them out now just like you saw in that pioneering video a few weeks back these mats were super super dirty and it was a shame the extractor could clean them perfectly so after spraying a bit of my carpet solution and letting it sit for a couple of minutes, I'll use the drill brush to agitate and lift the dirt and then I'll run the washer at pressure to finish the job and just like those pioneer mats my garage was immediately overwhelmed with the smell of cigar smoke rette as these mats held most of the odor in this vehicle so let's go inside now and first thing All I have to do is get these seats out of here because with this being a small two-door car, it would be very difficult for me to maneuver them into the vehicle not to mention it's going to make it a hundred times easier to clean everything with the boat next to me alone. to give me a little more room i'm going to get the center console as well and they usually aren't held on by more than a couple of screws but this mitsubishi required me to take some of the dash pieces off but they were only held on by clips so it was very easy all right, i'll start by taking the obvious trash out of here along with any personal items that i'll put aside for now and then i'll take a trash bag and throw whatever i know It's too big for the vacuum.

To suck next I'll go around and pick up all the loose change and this was definitely the most I've ever seen on a vehicle. I think there was close to $20 lying on the ground. That would be a nice surprise for the owner when he gets his vehicle back. Vacuuming up the massive amount of dirt and debris and old cheeses, one thing that quickly becomes apparent is that this Mitsubishi has extremely cheap carpet. I'm not sure how many of you are detailers and might have seen this before or maybe you even have a vehicle with carpet like this but basically it's the kind of carpet that will never get perfectly clean no matter what you do it's hard to describe, but it doesn't matter how long you vacuum it or how many times you use the brush.
You can't remove all the dirt. I've seen it once before on a Honda HRV and sadly have to deal with it on this car, but I'll do what I can to make it look near perfect again now with everything vacuumed. I'll go over it with the drill brush to get as much of the dirt from the trap as raised to the surface as I can then I can quickly vacuum it up before pulling the extractor out later now turning to the back seats and you'll notice all the red glow that covers the seats and if you're curious where that was from.
There was a bright red gift bag in the back that was torn which somehow caused it to drop shiny debris all over these seats here now going back to the mystery spill in the back here and now that it's thawed out a bit I'm just using a couple microfiber towels to pick it up and then soak up as much as i can and then i'll leave the rest for the bissell ok so i started on the carpets here and after i spray some 20 to 1 diluted carpet solution with my pump sprayer. I'm using the perforation brush to help loosen dirt and stains from the fibers so I can vacuum them up with the extractor now for any of you wondering what my exact process is. is here is really very simple because I pretreat w With the carpet solution, I just use hot water on the bissell, so when I do the first pass, I'm spraying water at the same time, which helps further dilute the solution.
Then on the second pass I will continue to spray water and am looking closely at the color of the water coming out of the extractor if it is still dirty or I can still see the solution I will continue to do passes spraying water until it runs clear although if it is not very clear I will spray a little more solution use the perforation brush again repeat the process until the water runs clear and i know the section is clean then i will switch to extract only to make sure i can dry the carpet as much as possible now that i suck up more of the odor with the gun here i thought i would let you know the links to just about every product and tool i use including the bissell, drill brush and carpet solution i am using are in the description so feel free to check them out And if any of you have been looking at choosing an extractor, I would highly recommend the bissell spot cleaning professional.
I've used mine a lot more than the average person would and it still works perfectly, not to mention you really can't beat it for the price, so now move on. to the seats and removing them from the vehicle will make this process much easier so the one big tip I have for removing the seats is to only use the necessary solution to clean the seats the last thing you want to do is saturate the seats and have the foam underneath soaked with solution so only use the amount needed and then when you are making your passes be sure to press down a bit to compress the foam so you can dry them out as much as possible usually the seeds will take a bit longer In drying that carpets which, in my experience with my garage heater on and vehicle doors open, take a couple hours here is all the filthy, smoky water that Bissell sucked out of this car. to all interior trim and using a 10 to 1 diluted all purpose cleaner and microfiber towel lightly down to clean everything then I'll follow up with a dry one to remove any remaining apc residue and then depending on the area of the vehicle I'll also use my brush of boar's hair to get down to the switches around the door handles things like that as there is always dirt or dust hiding in the crevices so get it right so it's time to get the steam all over the lever shifter so after spraying some APC I have the brush attached and am using it to stir up all the dirt and ash that was all over the place and a great tip for when you are cleaning around the shifter is to put the key so you can move it through the various gears and make sure everything is clean because there's nothing worse than your customer turning it on when they're going to leave and seeing all the dirt you've got It's lost now for the super grimy cup holders I'm spray a little four to one apc and then blow up with the spray to help get everything loosened up and one thing that is especially helpful in the corners is removing the attachment as you can get a more concentrated, higher velocity steam jet that can be especially good for stubborn grime now, before applying a sealer to the paintwork, i'm using my clay bar to pick up and remove any adhering contaminants such as tree sap tree tar or any other road grime, and since I used iron remover before, I really don't expect there to be much left on this paint, but I'll still clean it up perfectly so the sealant can adhere properly, so using a little of my Meguiar's mir glazed synthetic sealer, I'll throw a foam finishing pad on the polisher and apply a thin, even coat to the paint and, in addition to the bu in shine it will provide, the stuff is very easy to remove, not like some waxes where you really have to put some effort into it, so i would definitely recommend it. taking a look at this material going back to the inside and with all the plastic trim perfectly clean i am applying a 303 aerospace protectant with a microfiber applicator pad and if you have never had the pleasure of using this material i highly recommend grabbing a bottle it will leave your interior with a nice matte finish for four to six weeks and will provide great UV protection and then you can also use it to revive the look of any faded exterior plastic.
The link is in the description if you are interested. so with the owner of this vehicle obviously smoking in here i thought the inside of the windshield would be pretty dirty so i grabbed a clean towel before wiping it down and this is what my towel looked like after a little gross now after doing a vacuum quick final I'm going to reinstall these seats and if any of you are curious yes they were very heavy and extremely uncomfortable to get in and out of without scratching anything so hmm so many gallons of paper sorry. Oh it doesn't even look like my card so honey it looks really really nice yeah right now when you let people in tell them to take their shoes off that's right I love it I really appreciate it Now if you get it you can just put it in the garage and drop it off at school yeah i don't even want to drive it thanks see you guys and nine hours later i have this eclipse looking sleek and sexy again if you enjoyed the video be sure to hit the thumbs up button and please subscribe to the channel if you haven't enjoyed the guitar intro yet and i'll see you guys in the next one so
