abroad. She was born on April 9, 1994. Her parents were Naomi and Sal. The Reyes family was very close and they loved each other very much. Valerie was the oldest of the four children that Naomi and Saul had had.

She was the bright light in everyone's life. She was very close to her siblings and she was the older sister they could look up to until now, in 2019. By then she was about 24 years old, she had gotten a job at Barnes and Nobles as a store clerk, she had been working there for about three years, his dream. However, one day she was going to be a tattoo artist, she even had a half sleeve tattoo on her arm. Many who knew her had said that she was a kind and gentle soul, that she was very outgoing and fun, that she would always be friendly with the children in her neighborhood, they instantly loved her. but on one occasion she had panic attacks and suffered from depression, it was nothing too serious, although what her family has said, but still, she would sometimes break out.

On one occasion, Naomi Valerie's mother received a call from Valerie saying that she was in a state of panic knowing that Valerie had suffered from panic attacks before, but that night Valerie was really paranoid because tonight she was really having a hard time even talking to her mother, she was scared about something, but her mother never knew what she would ask her. She didn't mention anything or anyone in particular about why she was scared and scared. Her parents had gone to the police to file a missing person report on January 30 at 2:34 p.m. m., soon They had made brochures and posters and had spread it in the hope that someone would recognize her and see her disappearance begin to be known. Then on February 5, 2019, in the early morning hours, there were World workers on the road at Steelman Lane and it was near the town of Greenwich. was about 10 miles from Valerie's house, the workers had seen a red suitcase, they approached to investigate it, they noticed that it seemed to be full and heavy, they were curious about what was inside, so they opened it and saw a terrifying sight that never forget that it was a woman's body she was completely closed with her blouse unbuttoned she had visible wounds on her head she also had her hands and feet tied her mouth was covered with adhesive tape also the workers did not know just by looking at her how she died to them it seemed that She suffered an agonizing

while they were watching, there was a worker who had taken photos of the body and sent them to his friends later, however, he had been fired when the police were called to investigate her death and find out exactly what happened and why she was killed it wasn't until the next day that Valerie's father and brother confirmed that they were indeed their lovely daughter and sister.

She had spent a week not knowing what had happened to her, wondering where she was and it all came down to a tragic and heartbreaking end when the Rays family and Valerie's friends became aware of her loss, investigators began to uncover why and what happened to her. It happened exactly to Valerie and how she got into that suitcase and why anyone would do it. They wanted her dead. It wasn't long after they made some progress, however, police now identify the victim as Valerie Reyes, 24, of New Rochelle, New York. Her body was found earlier this week on the side of The Quiet Road in Greenwich Connecticut.

Inside a red suitcase, her hands and feet were tied. Reyes had been reported missing to New York State authorities and she was last seen on January 29 around 9 a.m. m. Now, in a statement, police say her family was informed of the positive identification last night and authorities are Now sending them our deepest condolences. Now investigators also say the cause of her death has not yet been confirmed, but a lot of possible physical evidence was gathered by looking at her bank account on the day she disappeared and discovering it was a cash withdrawal. From an ATM in New Rochelle, the detective had looked at the ATM's camera, although the footage has not been released.

Detectives said he was a man in dark pants and black sneakers getting out of a Honda CRV. He then approached the ATM and withdrew a thousand dollars from Valerie's account, hopefully, the car's license plate was visible on the surveillance footage during the investigation, they discovered that this car was a rental, it was from a company in Flushing, New York police had discovered that he had been rented by a man named Javier D Silva now this man had been dating Valerie in the past now who is Javier was just a few months younger than Valerie was born on January 3, 1995. in the At the time of his disappearance, he was a 24-year-old university student and he was living in Venezuela.

Now Venezuela had been having a tremendous crisis and Javier wanted to leave, he wanted to leave with this crisis in 2017, he had packed his bags and left Venezuela and he had headed for a better life, so he had fled to the United States, he had entered the United States with a visa waiver program that allows visitors and for tourism or business purposes to stay 90 days or less without having a visa, However, Javier had been living in the United States illegally and had succeeded. at home he lived in New York City he kept low key he didn't do much when he got a job working as a fast food cook cashier at a restaurant in Flushings of Queens in New York he liked to play games and watch horror movies then in January 2018, he joined a dating website, this is where he met Valerie.

At first they were friends and then they became a little more serious and then they became a love interest. They had become an article he had posted on social media. He was madly in love with Valerie and he loved the way she smelled, he loved having her around and left her company, she was so much fun to be with, he said it had only lasted a few months and then in April 2018 he felt that she had to break up with Javier because Javier expected too much from her to the point that he wanted to move in with her and she wasn't ready in their relationship to do so, he was the type that wouldn't take no for an answer. he was very aggressive about the fact that investigators knew about him and surveillance footage wanted to question him about his relationship with Valerie.

It was February 11, 2019. Javier had been arrested at his apartment in Greenwich on February 5. Grants Police have been working closely with law enforcement. From New Rochelle, New York, several crime scenes have been examined, hours of surveillance video reviewed, and numerous interviews conducted. Detectives from both agencies have followed a multitude of leads. There has been intense focus on the use of Valerie's ATM card, after which we believe she was murdered. In quotes, then he had tied up her body because she couldn't fit in the suitcase and then they taped her mouth shut when they asked him if he knew they could catch him. He nodded. Google location shows that he had connected to a local church near Valerie's house, then Javier drove to New Rochelle and then arrived at Valerie's house shortly after midnight, his phone had gone into airplane mode, then passed in front of the door and somehow managed to get into his house.Valerian Javier had started arguing and things got out of control in this argument and it became physical.

In the morning, he gained access to Valerie's phone with his fingerprint, then he checked her phone, her notes, her browsing history and her photos, after this her phone stopped pinging cell towers, that's when it stopped.

I had put it. phone in airplane mode, had gained access to his bank account information by using his fingerprints, then went to the ATM and withdrew a thousand dollars from his account, not sure if he knew it or not, but this ATM he did have a camera and it showed him withdrawing the money from his account after taking it out, he then drove to Greenwich, then took the suitcase and with it inside dumped it in Woodland, not far from the road, undisclosed footage was then captured. Javier returned at 9:43 in the morning and was also wearing different clothes than the night before.

It was January 30th when Valerie had been reported missing, meanwhile Javier had been withdrawing thousands more dollars from his account and then left. and he took the rental car and washed it and returned it to the company Javier took out a total of five thousand three hundred and fifty dollars from Valerie's bank account and to top it all off he had sold his iPad he went and bought an Apple monitor a laptop and also a television, had put her photo on social media of what he got by showing her while Valerie's body lay in the woods where he had just dumped her like trash.

She had been there for days, the autopsy could not confirm how long she was there. she survived in the suitcase before succumbing to her death and was finally found on February 5, 2019 by the worker with Javier being arrested in his possession at that time in his wallet was Valerie's bank card and driver's license. Her DNA was later found on the red suitcase. Also on the genital swab that was done on Valerie's body, Javier was charged with kidnapping resulting in death on February 12, 2019. The Connecticut medical examiner's office had concluded that Valerie had died of homicidal asphyxiation was almost a year later, on February 5, 2020. who pleaded guilty to kidnapping, the cause of Valerie's death, he would face a 30-year sentence in September 2021.

He was sentenced and got that full 30 years. He will face deportation after her sentence is completed in the year 2049. Valerie's murder in her census left a hole in the hearts of everyone who loved and knew her. Her mother had said that she was a very humble person. She loved art. She didn't even have the opportunity to live her life fully. She was murdered for nothing days after her death. After her death, a GoFundMe page was created to help with her funeral costs. She will always be missed and loved dearly, even by those who don't know her, they gave her support from her and a huge amount of support from the local community.
