The point is that if he is big enough to create a galaxy, then he has a plan. for you and if he is intelligent enough to call the stars by name then he knows everything about you and if he feeds the birds of the air and dresses the flowers of the field then he is a god who will take care of you, but why would he? did? he did this he did it so that we would have no excuse romans 1 and 20 says that all things created and invisible are there so that they have no excuse paul reminds us that if we can see creation then we have no reason not to live for the god who created it, there will come a day when we will stand before god, our judge, the creator of heaven and earth, and this verse alone makes it very clear that there will be nothing you can say that will become a defensible reason. you did not live for him we are responsible and that is why we have to follow the signs because his signs will lead you to his blessings listen to what David said in psalms 23 he guides me in the paths of righteousness say that with me he guides me in the paths of righteousness for the love of his name god wants people on this earth to look at the people who believe in him and see good things proverbs 3 echoes this trust in the lord with all your heart do not lean on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and him will direct your path, so the Bible is basically the road map for your soul, that is why Psalm 119 verse 105 says that your word is a lamp for my feet and for my path, the written word of God is where you understand what you should do in this life the book of habakkuk in the book of romans they both make this statement the righteous will live by faith they say with me the righteous will live by faith if you are going to live for god you have to live by faith where does faith come from Romans 10 and 17?

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. There are two audiences in this verse, one is hearing the written word and the second is hearing the spoken word, you hear the written word in your spirit when you actually open your eyes and read it how many of you have ever been reading something in the Bible and the man was talking to them and they started arguing with the man about who he was really trying to talk to? they read something that said oh I know who that argument is when you hear the voice of the holy spirit speaking to you about yourself he will never speak to you about another person before you have everything right in you and then the second type of audience is the type from Hearing what you receive now when you come to a service and there is a sermon that is given under the anointing and the word of God that is spoken encourages you when you hear the written word, it strengthens your faith and the faith you live by is victory .

What do you use to beat the world the reality is that you need both the written word and the spoken word if all you get is the spoken word on Sunday then you will be malnourished the rest of the week and if all you get is the written word but you never hear the spoken word then you are never using it for its proper purpose, the written word is information, the spoken word is an application and if you have all the information and no application you will be filled with frustration how many of you are following all the obstacles ?

It's like driving on a highway and not knowing what the signs mean. Can you imagine driving up to a four-way stop and there are three 18-wheelers but you don't know what stopping means? You will lose and ignorance will be the reason you lose. Do you know why we are losing this generation in the United States? It's because we go down the path of life without knowing what the signs mean. So let's look at some of the signs that The Word of God gives us at the end of this sermon. The first sign I want to draw your attention to is something everyone is familiar with.

Go ahead guys, start implementing it now. This is a school zone sign. How many of you are aware? that these exist every time you drive towards one you have to slow down and the reason I put this sign out first is because when the time comes, we're going to set it up here so it's not behind my head, yeah, here, right. there you have to slow down when you teach kids guess what you have to do slow down don't be impatient with your kids just because they didn't learn it the first time doesn't mean they won't learn it I need to watch it a second time, many times we want to skip things with our kids, well I told you once, imagine if that rule applied in your marriage, come on, slow down, now there's a second reason I got this sign.

The second reason I got this sign is because for three years I've been asking the Texas highway department to put one of these in front of our school and I wanted to show them that I get one in a week, so where's mine? It wasn't a joke how am I going to go put that in front of the school now the first sign you see on the road of life is this sign it's a one way sign ahead keep coming all of you stay awake there coffee mug in the back if you haven't found one this way sign john 14 6 says I am the way the truth and life no one comes to the father but for me one of the lies that is told in our world today is that there are many ways in which You can find Jesus Christ, but he himself solved it when he said: I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life.

No one comes to the father but through me, the first lesson you should teach your children. The path of life is very simple there is only one way to live and that way to live is for Jesus when you are going in the right direction you gain confidence when you are going in the wrong direction you are headed for harm and one thing your children need more than anything in this world is the confidence that comes from living for christ as long as you are sure that you understand that he who is in me is greater than he who is in the world as long as you are sure that you recognize that he who began the good work in you is faithful to complete it even on the day of christ jesus as long as they are sure that they are based on scriptures like romans chapter 8 which says if god is for us, then who can be against us, but the only way That word comes to life in them when they receive Jesus Christ, so the first thing they teach their children is that there is only one way to live and that way is for Christ who died to give them eternal life.

Another sign that is important for your children to learn and hear is a sign that many of you have no idea what it means how many of you know people who struggle with this problem. We're just talking about traffic right now. We're not even talking about spiritual. He will take you to the line of victory yield to him and he will protect your marriage yield to him and he will take care of your business yield to him and he will lay his hand on your children yield to him and he will open the windows of heaven for you and pour out blessings that you cannot hold back, give in to him and the enemy will flee from you, but sometimes we don't give in and that is what leads us to our next sign, this sign is a powerful sign and you don't need to. be too spiritualized because it's pretty clear that everyone knows what it says, say it with me now say it like you're talking to someone who needs to do it, go first john 1 9 if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. and cleanse us from all injustice, do you know what this verse says?

I have good news for you. You can change direction if you are going the wrong way today. You can choose to stop and let God's will overcome your will and God's will. The next thing you know, you are going to go from a path laden with curses to a path laden with blessings because that is the kind of god we serve, there are signs of all kinds, but you cannot walk in the blessings of God, until you pay attention to what his word says, I say this in closing, his word is alive and his word is powerful, but it is powerless until you follow it, we have to make a decision and what is at stake are our children and our grandchildren. we have a choice to make and the choice we make is the difference between freedom or living in tyranny we have a choice to make and the choice we make will determine whether we walk in the abundance of god and have the good of the world earth or whether we see the hand of God turns against us and we experience his wrath in our tomorrow far more than we experience his blessings in our past it is never too late to follow the signs today I have shared with you the written word and you have heard the spoken word the question is what What will you do with it if you choose to obey it?

You will be blessed if you choose to ignore it. The consequences are greater than you can bear. In our last conversation we were discussing the blessing of boundaries and boundaries and the order they create. You know, the Bible says that God is not the author of confusion and whenever you remove a boundary what you have is confusion and chaos, consider what we see happening. Right now on our southern border there are individuals who are trying to eliminate that line of distinction, the difference between life in one place and life in another, they are trying to erase and it is creating chaos that people on this side of the border do not knows.

If their rights are going to be protected and in many cases their rights are currently being violated people on this side of the border are trying to escape the quality of life or lack thereof in the place where they exist in order to come and enjoy something major this is something that must be done in an orderly manner and it is something that the word of God ordains right now in our society there are a series of borders that we are trying to erase we are trying to erase the gender border there are people who suggest that there are so many genders as individual people and the reason they say that is because they have decided to define it as a feeling instead of a fact.

The book of Genesis tells us very clearly that God created them male and female, but why would we try to erase the boundaries between male and female? Because when you can't define one or the other, what you have is chaos. There is no blessing in being a man who has the power or authority that the word of God gives you in your manhood. There is no blessing in being a woman and having the ability to achieve everything God created you to achieve as a woman. If you don't have a gender, you don't have an identity. If you don't have an identity, then it can be redefined.

If you can be redefined then your destiny can be shaped by another. I think this is symptomatic of an even larger struggle. I think the fight we are having on so many fronts, whether it is the natural border that exists between two nations or the The border that exists between man and woman is a border that we are trying to erase between truth and lies. Between the word of God and deception. The Bible tells us that there will come a time when the truth will be considered a lie and a lie. It should be celebrated as a truth, the good news is that when we get to this moment in time, there is only one place to look to reset what went wrong, you know, a lot of times I don't know about you, but I have challenges with my technology that I'm doing. everything I can to get my computer to work and when I start struggling with the device, pressing the keys and hearing these horrible noises as the computer moans and burps, I hear a grinding noise inside the hardware that the screen puts on that little wheel and circle of death as I call it and it just goes around and around and around and nothing shows up and like always I have to pick up the phone and call an IT guy to come and help me reset whatever I have. done and most of the time, despite everything, they have been trained and have the knowledge to do each challenge starts with the same solution, reboot, the first thing the IT guy comes in and asks me is: have you tried rebooting it?

I'm almost to the point of frustration why should I try to restart it and they just hit the control button, alt button and delete button and the screen goes black and then about two minutes later it comes back up and everything works perfectly? So one time I asked and said look I said all you have to do is just reboot and they smiled and said you know most of the time it works and the reason it works is because the computer was having problems. The first place is not because it broke but because it was sending too many signals at once.

I was trying to open something and close something. I was trying to extract information from one area and put it somewhere else where it didn't belong. I was trying. do so many different things that the computer couldn't put any reasonable order into what was being requested and therefore simply froze. I see this a lot in society when you think about it. So many times we try to do so many things at once. that we have just created this spiritual, emotional and literal stagnation that prevents us from operating as we should, so how do we reset the system?

I think the way we reset the system is by opening up the word of God and we see words like John 17 and 17. There the bible says sanctify them in your truth now take a moment and consider those words sanctified means to be cleansed means to wash away the impurities sanctified means to be set apart for a holy purpose and the agent that god chooses to use for our sanctification so that our cleanliness separates us is his truth and from here comes the truth that the last half of the verse sanctify them by your truth because your word is truth when you live in a society that is trying to erase the boundaries of truth and deception. the only way you can cleanse that society is to return to the truth of god's word, the only way it can be sanctified is by reconnecting with your source in our last conversation we were talking about the limits that god established in creation becauseall things were created by him and he established the order of all things.

You and I were created in the image of God. He created us from himself and whenever we are to function at our highest and best level, we must be connected to the source in John. 17 says we can be sanctified and we can be free by his truth elsewhere in the bible it says and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free the truth of god's word will set us free from the chaos we see in the world around us the truth of the word of god defines who you are and describes what you can be the truth of the word of god according to galatians is a lie it is alive and it is powerful there are several things you need to know about the truth of the word of god one is eternal Isaiah the prophet said this and Peter repeated it in the letter he wrote to the church he said that the grass may wither and the flower may wither but the word of the Lord remains forever that simply means that everything in this world is temporary except the word of god who will never go away one of the ways i like to express this is simply in the statement that my problems may change but my promise never does, for example the bible tells us in psalm 27 lord is my light and my salvation who will I fear the lord is the strength of my life who will I fear a verse from the new testament that deals with fear says that god has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of sound mind now these are promises that They allow me to believe that there is nothing in this life that I need to fear because the truth of God sanctifies me from all types of fear sanctifies me from the fear of darkness Psalms 27 He is my light Sanctifies me from the fear of destruction Psalms 27 He is my salvation sanctifies me from the fear of man the lord is my light and my salvation from whom will I be afraid of whom should I fear and who will I fear?

The Lord is the strength of my life. He sanctifies me from weakness in the new testament. God has not given me a spirit of fear. Spiritual fear. But he has given me spiritual power. He has given me spiritual love. If I have a healthy mind, think about the things that happen in your life, when you are afraid first, when you give in to fear, you lose power, have you ever talked to someone who told you that they were terrified and what they did in their The terror was that they were paralyzed. Consider people who see something graphic, horrible, and traumatizing.

Many people say they are frozen with fear. They have lost power. Many times when people are afraid of losing love, why do we see so much division on our streets? So much chaos between cultures is because we have forgotten what the Bible says love your neighbor as yourself when you give in to the fear of other people you will create reasons and causes and prejudices and biases as to why you shouldn't love those people but when you stay in the truth of the word of God, you sanctify yourself from that type of fear and chaos because you understand that God has not given you that fear, he has given you the power to love them and then you have a healthy mind if there is something that we What you see in The world today is simply this: the world is losing its sanity.

The things we are trying to impose and impose on our children. There's no point in thinking about this 30 years ago if you had gone to school. and you enrolled when you were young and you walked into your classroom and told the teacher that today you wanted to be a woman, the teacher would have recognized that you needed psychological help and the teacher would have sent you to visit an expert who could help you understand the difference between your feelings and the facts of how you were created now, every time that same student enters a school based on what we are trying to create as law, what they will say to any child who disagrees with that person's feelings are that you are wrong you are the one who needs counseling you see a man but he feels like a woman and if you don't recognize him according to his feelings you need to be retrained, that doesn't make sense It doesn't make sense, but we have given in to fear and therefore we have lost the power of our healthy mind.

So how does this apply to the truth of God's word? I said before. My problems may change but my promise never does, for example when I was a child I was afraid of the dark now the reason I was afraid of the dark is because when I was a child we didn't have all the technology that you see today we didn't have all the indoor entertainment that there were no game systems that you could go and play if you wanted to be entertained you had to be outside because in my house there was only one television, not 13, and there were only 13 channels, not 3000, and there certainly weren't any online streaming device where you could watch anything you wanted on demand, so when dad came home he would take over the TV and it would usually be on the news and if you didn't want to watch the news you had to go outside, well, to I loved playing outside. until my parents brought me in and bathed me and put me to bed and one night I remember I wanted to go outside and the sun had set and I told dad, I told him I'm going to go out and play and he told me very quickly he said you don't want to. go out well, why don't I want to go outside?

Because it's dark, well, I didn't mind the dark, he said, but bad people come out and bad things happen when the sun goes down. I don't have to tell myself twice. I heard the word of warning and fully believed that if I walked out that door my life was in imminent danger. The problem was that the darkness just wasn't out. The darkness was inside. I turned off the lights in my room. and bad things happen and bad people come out when the lights go out now in the small house where we lived every time I entered a dark room I was scared I ran to my dad's room he knocked on the door and I told him I'm afraid there's something in me closet I'm afraid there's something under my bed he immediately told me son go back to your room lie down in your bed and repeat these words God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power and love and sound judgment I can tell you that when I was a child Many nights I would lie in bed and repeat those verses until, like counting sheep, I fell asleep.

Now, at 42 years old, father of four children, I would love to tell you that I have conquered all fears. The good news is that I have finally I have conquered the fear of the dark for the last six months or so I have not worried about the dark at all that was a joke but as a father of four I have concerns. I have a 16 year old daughter. She's traveling. A lot can happen when a child drives a car. I have a 14 year old son who goes to high school. All kinds of things I see happening in the world and I worry about the challenges they present and my inability to control every outcome.

My problems have changed. I am no longer a little boy lying in a bed staring at a dark ceiling. Hoping nothing bad happens Now I'm a father and I stay wide awake at night hoping nothing bad happens While my problems have changed my promise Can't I still stand firm on God's word? He has not given me a spirit of fear but of power I have the power to trust him I have the power to believe that he will keep his word in my life I have the power and a sound mind to know that his faithfulness never fails so As long as my problems have changed my promise, haven't they? try what isaiah said the grass may wither the flower may wither but the word of the lord endures forever it is the consistency of the word of god that sanctifies us from all forms of deception I see the world we are in now doing everything we can deliberately choosing a path of deception I know and believe that the only thing that can sanctify us is the truth of God's word that does not mean that in the future the world will not choose a different path of deception but it does mean when it chooses a new path or tries to come up with some new idea.

God's word is consistent enough that we can return to this beacon, this rock, this light and we can find a way forward. The word of God is not only eternal. but the word of god is working the prophet isaiah in chapter 55 he declared my word this is the lord speaking isaiah said the lord says my word will not return to me void but it will fulfill the purpose for which I sent it which means that the word of god is at work one of my favorite passages in philippians simply says that he who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it even until the day of christ jesus, that means that the word of god is operating even when you don't see it, even when you don't see it.

I don't feel it even when it doesn't seem like much is happening. He constantly moves toward his goal of seeing your life blessed according to his promises. He will never bless you outside the bounds of his word, but within his word, every promise. it is yes and amen in christ jesus i will give you an example of this we can turn it around if you want jeremiah the first chapter 11 and 12 verse jeremiah 11 and 12 is a place in scripture that is often overlooked and rarely It is understandable because of how far it is from the translation from Hebrew to our modern English, I will read it to you and then we will take some time to understand it better Jeremiah 1 and 11.

In addition, the word of the Lord came to me saying Jeremiah, What do you see? And I said: I see a branch of an almond tree. Verse 12. Then the Lord said to me, You have seen clearly, for I am ready to fulfill my word. What exactly is being communicated here between almighty God and the prophet Jeremiah? If we look at it superficially and simply consider what the words say and translate them directly into our understanding, God is talking about a tree, but how is that associated with God fulfilling his word? What promise did he make to Jeremiah?

Understanding that Jeremiah was the prophet during the time when Israel was being taken into captivity and the conversation that is had between God and Jeremiah throughout the entire book is sir, if you take us away from the promised land, how will you bring us back? return? How are we going to see your promises fulfilled in our lives if we do not live within the boundaries of Israel and to put Jeremiah's mind at ease, God gives him a vision and he says Jeremiah, what do you see in this vision? That is verse 11. Jeremiah in the vision tells the Lord I see the branch of an almond tree and then the Lord tells him this is it, you have seen well because I am ready to keep my word well to understand the beauty of this image and connect the points on how the word of god works. is always working, you have to understand the symbol of the almond tree in ancient Israeli culture, Hebrew is a very efficient language, they have a very small alphabet, their language preexists paper, so when you are chiselling things into stone you don't.

You need 26 letters, you want to use as few letters as possible and you want them to mean as many things as you can so you don't have to delete and replace, so the word for almond in Hebrew is sheche and the word for diligent. In Hebrew it is shekhed and the reason these words are the same is because the almond tree is naturally one of the first trees to bloom in spring whenever the long, dormant winter ends. One of the first indicators that new growth is coming is that the almond tree bears its flowers so in ancient Israel and Hebrew culture when they saw this diligent tree that had been working all winter to bear fruit begin to bear fruit. flourish, they gave it a description that allowed them to share the idea that this tree was working while all the other trees were sleeping, this tree was trying while all the other trees were simply hibernating, so when God gives Jeremiah this vision, God shows him a image of diligence and what it is communicating to Jeremiah is even when it seems like nothing is working even when it seems like everything is asleep I am the branch of the almond tree Jeremiah I am the one who is constantly working I am the one who is bringing my promise to fulfillment in your life now That should encourage us because many times when we don't believe things are happening fast enough when we don't feel God's promises moving us forward when we don't see God's hand moving and doing signs and wonders we wonder am I being ignored?

Has He Forgotten About Me? What's going on? my life but here we have a biblical promise and a picture that god is working diligently to fulfill his promise to you Philippians he who began a good work is faithful to complete a good work the word of god is not only eternal, it does not fade away but which is by working, it will be fulfilled, you have God's promise and you can fulfill that promise and his promise will be fulfilled. God's law is eternal. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Our children are the inheritance of the Lord as we build a nation for the future.
