May 01, 2020
What's happening everyone? Another day, another Copart ride here at Auto Auction, rebuilds. I've heard many of you complain in the comments section that I've been buying a ton of

cars

and we're not working on anything and it's horrible. The world is going to end and let me tell you something: we will tear down the Chrysler Sebring to find out the extent of the damage, probably in one of the next videos. I swear some of you are very demanding. I don't think you understand what it's like to take ten thousand dollars of your own money and just drop it, like putting it all in one basket and hoping for the best.

I'm still preparing the workshop. We haven't reached that point yet. In a week, keep this in mind. In a week we got rid of them. Vette got the money for everything, got a workshop, installed everything in the workshop, including the lighting, the lift, we went and picked up a bunch of cars, we

I appreciate your patience. I appreciate your support. Now I'm trying to find this damn Mustang, so let's start with the video. We have a few project cars that I'm considering purchasing and bringing to the lot so we can. let's get some work done let's get off to a good start we'll start this video with a 2014 mustang v6 convertible with racing stripes smurf blue paint eighty one thousand miles on the clock nice looking car listed as a run and drive this thing has been here for long time I'm talking I'm talking months I've seen this car parked here I'm not really sure why it's here it has a couple of small dings nothing nothing important the paint looks good the tires look good yeah I don't know why it's here , we'll take a look at it real quick, check the interior like I said, it's a run and drive.

I'm trying to hold this door here, okay, I don't want to scratch the paint or anything that beautiful car needs. good interior cleanliness, but it shoots water, low tire pressure, low fuel level, but they are not really pretty cars. I like this one. I mean, I don't think I'd be happy with a V6, although I'll tell you these V6 Mustangs. I think they're pushing like 300 horsepower so don't be fooled guys, it's no slouch, it's got the shaker audio system, look under the hood. I mean, I'm not a v6 guy, you know, but I'll give the car rage. accessories because we have a little chip here, see another chip here, let's go down here and open this hood, where's that cool V6 engine?
Everything underneath looks good. I'm not even sure if this was a rebuilt car. uh I can hear the air compressor turning on and off, well I already started it and I can feel it going back and forth ooh, nice car, I'm not interested in this though, like there's no reason for you to. I bought this one because it's a v6 and I already had the 15 Mustang GT performance package and I had the 17 Mustang GT so this car wouldn't satisfy me and Smurfs blue is one of those colors that I just either love or hate, really. There isn't much middle ground, and although yes, maybe there is a middle ground.
I like it, but I couldn't see myself driving this. People call me Papa Smurf, oh, I guess that would be it. true, I don't think I'll be too mad, in my opinion, Papa Smurf was the coolest Smurf of them all. okay, let's look at something else, okay, so this is one I was seriously considering. I have been thinking about upgrading my truck and am selling a big red because I plan on getting a trailer and will probably end up going out of state in the future to find some better cars, unfortunately Oklahoma City doesn't have many particularly interesting vehicles so I have been looking at around you and you go to Arizona, you go to Texas, definitely Dallas and in Houston, San Antonio, they have some good things there, Kansas City, they have some good things, so Wichita too, so I thought you know we might have to start driving a little.
I'd like to get a newer truck, something with a little less miles hopefully, or something that's in really solid condition and something that's fun to rebuild, so what we have here is a 2016 Chevy Silverado, this truck has a clean title. not a salvage title, clean title, registered at seventeen thousand five hundred dollars, sixty nine thousand miles on the clock, excellent tires, excellent condition inside and out, so you're probably wondering why this thing is here and I'll tell you in a minute, that's why you gotta be very careful, guys and girls, be very careful when you're about to bid on something because this truck will fool you if you do, come here and look at it, it's a beautiful truck, a beautiful truck. and for seventy five hundred dollars at the door for a seventeen thousand five hundred dollar vehicle, how could you go wrong with this?
And the truth is, you couldn't go wrong with this even if you wanted to. The truth is it also requires a new frame this truck will not be fine on the frame it is on it cannot be driven with its current frame and I am glad I came here and looked before getting excited and jumping on this for 7,500 with the rates you will be looking for. for about eight thousand two hundred dollars or so I almost did it, I almost jumped on this and said, "Hell no, there's no way this truck is here for that cheap and I almost bought it before someone else, but I'm glad having come here." and how to look at it so we have the work truck floor and it lights up absolutely wonderful other than a low tire sensor there are no lights on the dash we have the touch screen it has cold air hot heat what could it be wrong?
This truck, I'm going to show you that right now. I think the hood may already be open. I'm going to roll down the window a little. I don't want to go up now. I don't want to. you run the risk of locking your keys in the truck, so it's very important that you guys come here and look at this stuff about where the damn hood release mechanism is. Okay, so look under the hood and don't see anything wrong. with it good looks great runs great sounds sounds wonderful what a good deal for a truck right now it has the 5.3 liter v8 it's a pretty good engine I mean actually it's a really good engine it has a lot of torque so it's going to be great for moving cars now, this is where we run into a problem.
Oh, we have a damaged landing gear, so you can see we have some plastics under here that are just hanging out, but if you get in here. Oh wow, so this. something hit a rock or something really big and you can see here, you see that bolt, how it's twisted and tweaked, yeah, this whole frame, the frame is actually cracked and torn right there, yeah, this frame is filmed, folks, It's done, you know. That doesn't make the truck a bad deal, not at all at the price it has now for a bite, 7500, it's still a great deal.
I'm going to lose my phone, it's still a great deal for a truck, it really is because this has a clean title I found the frames section, frames, you can get the front section. I was actually talking to the weirdly bearded Mike about it. He said it could be done. He said that he would prefer that we have a complete framework and just exchange everything. Remove the bodywork from this frame and put everything on a new one, a new complete frame. I found a new overstocked frame for this for about thirteen hundred dollars, but it's in Michigan which is too far away, it's not worth it now, it may not be.
It's worth it for me, but it might be worth it for you. That's a long way to go for a frame and not to mention the amount of time it will take to get every piece off this truck and onto a new one now. I also want to point out that the wheels don't turn at all because this truck has rack and pinion steering and the rack was just crushed by the frame. You could stand to hug this and try to spin it, it doesn't. do anything and no, it's not lack of power steering, the rack is crushed, the gearbox is fine, it's not really a gearbox so to speak, but it's crushed, everything underneath is crushed, so which will need a frame, but look at it this way, you know? you spend $8,000 on the truck you buy the truck you spend 1500 let's say on the frame make them include the rack and pinion all the little things you need down there they sit down here you can see it right down there where these boots are Do you want them to leave that there with the new framework and change everything?
It's a big job, it's a huge job, I mean, an absolutely huge job, but after it's all said and done, what do you have in it? Ten grand, you got ten. a thousand dollars on a truck that you can sell for 1617 thousand dollars maybe more maybe a little less depending on the market you're in sixteen seventeen thousand dollars for a truck that's a big profit that's a big profit that's enough, I'm still Thinking about it, the problem is that if I drop that amount of money, that will leave me with no money to do anything else, so I have to be very careful, guys, it's very important that I make good decisions. what I buy and you know, quick spins are really what it is now because that's how you make money quickly and if you end up getting a bad deal, you lose as little money as possible, okay, let's keep it cool, before we continue.
Next car, I want to point out that we sold the Olds Cutlass cruiser. We sold it for $1,200 for the first people who came and looked at it, so that was a big win and I know it doesn't seem like much. of money, but if you consider that we had $600 in that car, we sold it for 12 twice as much money, that's what I'm saying, cheap cars are easy to make, and if you buy a bad one, you're out the least bit of money. money imagine you have, you spend $5,000 on a car and you realize that it has a bad engine, let's say it's a T-wing or a Volkswagen or something like that, you know that a Mercedes has a bad gearbox or a bad transmission, you find out that you will need a couple more. thousand dollars to fix it, that can really offset any profit you might make on the car now, if you get a $500 car and it turns out to be a dud, okay, you lost $500, you can always send it to the junkyard for two or three hundred, like that that you get a good chunk of that money back, big deal, no it's not a big deal, as Mike would say, it's kind of a big deal, now you get these wins, some cheap little $500 cars and you sell them for twelve thousand three hundred dollars over there.
Do quick flips, easy money and now, like I said, we have to do some of these quick flips because we need money. There's a lot of money going to a lot of different things around here, so I wanted to point that out. the Cutlass cruiser doubled the money and the Prius man six hundred dollars brought 14 so more than double the money on the Prius also let's move on to the next car and speaking of cheap cars here's one right here this is a ride on donated 2003 Chevy Impala , sorry for the background noise guys, there's nothing I can do about those one hundred and thirty-eight thousand miles on the clock, we've got Cooper CS wheels on the back and we've got Master Craft on the front, check the other side.
I'm a big fan of matching tires. The matching tires tell me someone took care of it. Cooper sees us on the back of this one too, so at least the rear matches and if this is master craftsmanship on the front and it is, at least someone replaces it. the tires in pairs are not as good as someone who had replaced all four, but not too bad the paint is decent lots of scratches lots of small paint marks paint transfer down the side this looks like a car that could have belonged to one person older and This is probably a car that is not going to be worth much.
I'm pretty sure this car isn't going to be worth much, but Impala always sells. Impalas are great cars for resale, it actually smells really nice in here, although it is very dirty, you could definitely use it. a good cleaning, let's see if we can shoot a tap up herescoop right here on the driver's side, beautiful car, this one from North Carolina. I recognize this inspection sticker because I used to live in North Carolina, how about what a nice car at least it was even though we had a lot of bubbles and rust. under here under the paint it can still be salvaged even though it didn't go through the car it still has a lot of great parts it would be a great parts car for someone's project.
I loved the smell of fire cars, here's a 2007 Subaru Legacy and man, that was it. a hot fire look at this the hood is gone like a soda can the timing belt is still partially attached here it still has some of the metal belts look at that i just love the smell i mean sad for the people who owned it Obviously, but hey, you shouldn't have put that system there yourself. You should have paid some money to have your stereo system professionally installed. I'm kidding, I don't know if that's what caused it or not it sucks to lose your car, I get it.
Just trying to shine a light on a bad situation sometimes, oh man, lots of keys, what do you think we should try to light it up? Turn it on now, that was horrible, that was in bad taste, yes, in very bad taste, yes, I agree, yes, okay, okay, there's nothing. There's something more special about this car than the fact that it was just this is a crunchy bug, God, it must have been, it must have been hot. Wow, okay, we have more

carnage

for you today. We're not done yet, friends, we're almost done. We're not done yet, it's the 2016 Dodge Ram, look at the

carnage

on this thing, another truck that took a big hit.
I see this a lot on pickup trucks. I really should I should Google and investigate why I seem to see so many vans. that are just in bad shape, I mean I could truck all day here and what a nice truck this was. It still has a new smell, which is surprising because it has 36,000 miles on the clock, but it still has the new smell a lot of dog hair a lot of dog hair all over this thing but other than that, oh, they had a lot of sand in it. the back, that didn't help, that didn't help, folded the bed and pushed in the cargo area, back there, in the passenger compartment, yes, those sand data that hurt, that hurt, that destroyed the bed, that destroyed the cabin, I mean, like it wasn't already destroyed, I mean, this thing was just toast anyway, but Whoa, whoa, okay, let's move on, how about a 2012 6.2 liter Ford Raptor?
I actually rented one of these before and drove it for a day and really loved it. Biohazard, we have blood in the airbags, you can see it through the window. there's definitely some blood on the airbags and on the door, watch out for that thing now this thing was brought in with your blood everywhere here - there's blood splatter on the window blood splatter on the window here I think at this point this thing was brought to Copart I think 227 so it's been about a month so I'm pretty sure there's nothing to worry about this blood as far as biohazards go.
I think everything will be fine, but you know, I'm not sure I want to touch her. Look, we have blood here. Yeah, I don't know, she comments below. I'm not an expert on how blood borne diseases and stuff work. We'll go up through the back. Here we can get in the truck and see it better from inside the cabin which doesn't look bad there's definitely more blood all over the center console down here I don't know if you can see I really don't want to touch I use my camera I don't want to touch any of this yeah, It's not that bad, it's not that bad, man, this thing took a big hit, didn't it?
This is a big truck, big truck, I love the Raptors, I really love it, oh now we have the lights on, what did I do? Hey. Look at the tires, yes, this thing was modified very well, look, we could see the engine, everything that's underneath now. I believe this is the same 6.2 liter that is in that Ford f250 Super Duty I was looking at. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the same comment about the engine below, if you know, I won't know until I go and look at it on Google or something, but I'm pretty sure it's the same engine, so it has the same horsepower. torque, what a beast of a truck, man, I love the Raptor normally I wouldn't film a 2007 Hyundai Sonata because there's really nothing special about it, but this is one that's like this, what was the Nissan Altima we saw before except this one? one just rolled over in the front, I mean, look from the frame rail up, everything just disappeared, I mean, everything, look at this right in the front, biohazard, I mean, obviously, there was someone in this car which definitely hurts, let's see if we can get it out. on it we can, oh wow, a lot of blood, oh, it's soaked through the seat, yeah, look there's blood pooled on the floor.
Wow, I'm an old man who is crazy because the passenger is the one who seems to have sustained the majority of the injuries when the driver's side is what completely rolled over, how about a 2016 Chevy Camaro SS? Yes, I'm not interested in repairing this one at all, but I would bet money that we still have a very good and usable powertrain. I guarantee you the engine is fine. the transmissions are fine so there's definitely still money in this car even though the body is, you know, shot, it's not just the front, we don't have any damage to the rear either, but, you know, looking around down here it looks like all the valve covers are Well the intakes are right in front of the engine it looks good so I'm sure we have a good engine and training here and this is something someone could use for a race car project of theirs or for a flooded Camaro they wanted to convert into an SS it's not that hard and it still smells new Wow, as you can see the edge here just disappeared, I mean completely disappeared, there are a lot of usable parts on this you know , I keep thinking about that v6 Camaro we were looking at earlier, hmm. yeah, this poor car, man, this poor car, yeah, suspension day, all its panels are pretty damaged, the roof is bent, the sides are bent, poor car, it's okay and we move on with the psyche, we're not going to continue Go ahead because that was the last car on my list.
I didn't even realize it. I also didn't realize I was here. Tim and I have been here for three and a half hours just recording footage, so I'm sure this video will be about an hour, maybe an hour and 15 minutes long, but it's crazy, an hour and 15 minutes. for you it's three and a half hours

walk

ing around here and then I have to go home and spend probably another two hours editing everything so I can make a one hour video. It takes a lot of work, guys, but I'll tell you what I really enjoy editing videos.
