Combine Two Colors, DON'T MIX, then Spray!
Apr 30, 2023Guys it's Fonzie I would calm your car down and I'm in front of you a worried man why am I worried? Well here we have our dy cs4 and it has a black basecoat ready for action but what are we
spray
ing on this car? I will tell you if you've been watching our videos for the last month or two, we've been doing a lot of custom things, mixing different performance seriescolors
, mixing color shift beads, hypership beads, lots of different things and when we show you those videos , we show it to you. the inside of the bucket and the two differentcolors
go into the bucket andthen
we mix it up for a custom color andspray
it but it seems like you guys came up with an idea not sure I love this idea but many of you I've talked about that, it's hard to ignore, he wants to know what happens if we mix two different colors in the same bucket without mixing them, which means he pours one color and another color and as they swirl together, he immediately loads them into the spray gun and shooting a car the chances of this project looking absolutely silly are extremely high but maybe it will be fun either way we will enjoy the video now first let me show you how we are going to approach this ridiculous project the two colors they were going to use today they are reptile flip pearls and atlantic color shift pearls two very different pearls one is like gold with a red undertone and the other is like a green-a blue shift now we are going to be taking them and mixing them into the final DYC coat andthen
we're going We're going to take our max cup and we're going to pour both colors into the paint cup at the same time, we don't want to mix big batches of this like in a bucket because then as we pour the bucket over and over again the colors will continue to mix and that defeats the purpose so every cup of paint we spray today will be a new color combination but just to show you exactly what's going to happen inside the paint cups first I'm going to pour both colors into a big bucket so you can see how the colors will swirl and play with each other in the paint cups, how is this? it will turn out I have no idea but it's worth a try so let's talk about this project now when we started it we knew one of two things was actually going to happen one the colors wouldn't mix or mix in the hopper or during the process of atomization and they would come out of the gun one color and another color at a time and you would end up with this crazy pattern on the car where it's completely different colors smearing on top of each other or two that would start to mix in the paint cup or more specifically when you're spraying the two colors out of a spray gun and they would just create a blended color we didn't get number one I can tell you right now it's not some crazy splash design on the car it's just not when the two products were mixed they went through the gun and spray basically created a color with the two pearls blending together kind of annoying about that but i have an idea for later we got a custom blended color.I think the end result of this project is really about how we got there. I think it's more about what we got because ironically the color that we got by mixing these two random pearls is pretty awesome in my opinion it's like greenish gray it has hints of red has hints of blue you'll see. I'm so excited we got this project done, not because it didn't do the crazy thing, but because the end result was so worth it and we never would have put those two pearls together if it wasn't for this video now if you want to dunk your car we have tons of regular colors to choose you can click here above it will bring to the car kits just select the size of your vehicle the color you want to do and the kit will include everything if you have any questions chat with us directly on the website call us or just visit dyc university comm there are tons of things to learn there let's get out there and see the car it's Fonzie hope you liked the video see you in the next one
