the car and then slap some paint on it, and it should look amazing! We will paint this car like we have never done before. So we asked the 88 to call in some reinforcements. And the time also comes… for a snack! It smells a lot. Oh. Oh. Marty should try it. But. Let me smell it. Oh! Yuck! Marty doesn't like fish jerky, but he's a fan of the external oil cooler that Nakaru-san is installing in the front of the car. Meanwhile, Ben uses a

It's been an epic day and yet we've accomplished so much that I think my favorite event of the day was probably having ten people paint the car, because with one can each, it literally took five minutes to paint the entire car. It was five minutes. Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Oh! If you had to give it a score out of ten in terms of how "Japanese" it is, ten is the most Japanese, zero is Australian, what would you give it?

It's like every bit of rock or path you run over hurts my feelings. I think it's mechanical sympathy, and I think you need a certain element of indifference and then you're fine. Well, I guess as long as you use the car like an appliance, like a

Yes. And hopefully meet up with other people who have some modified cars and see what they think of our JDM show. We're back in the '88s. You're going to need to speed up a little bit to get in there, man. Nakaru-san, with this style of car, are you supposed to hear so much noise when the car hits the road? Yes, that's the style. That's the style! You are crazy, a lot of crazy people. There's really only one way to get to the mountains tonight. We have arrived at an abandoned inn high in the mountains. Totally black, except for a streetlight. And it looks like something out of a Japanese horror movie. This small group of homeless people meet here regularly, and since they are so far from the city, the police leave them alone.
There is a small shed that is kept open, where they keep a generator, lights and some witch hats. And anyone who wanders here is free to use the equipment with an honesty policy to return it once he's done wandering. In the years they have been here, they have not stolen a single piece of equipment. We are still waiting for our crane, but with everything ready, the boat begins. The 88s are kind enough to let us use their cars while we wait for ours to arrive, and I have to say I love it and so does Marty.
A while later our car arrives. They're moving their cars, yeah, I don't blame them. Yes man! Yeah! Yes, nice and back! Ah, man, I'm over it. We're not taking this car home, so as a parting gift, we've decided to give it to the 88. Nakaru-san graciously agrees and says that in that case, he'll show us how to drive it. While these cars can be loud and bold, they can also be incredibly majestic. Almost like a car ballet. This is what these kids do for fun and they are doing it well. They are far from urbanized areas, there is no aggression, no alcohol, no defects and the police leave them alone.
We spent the rest of the night drifting, swapping cars, laughing, and making new friends. Although we don't speak the same language, we have managed to connect through the beautiful and universal language of automobiles. Cars can bring us together, they can break down barriers, they can teach us about the world, and they can teach us about ourselves. They can take us on life-changing journeys to incredible places. But eventually, all we are left with are the connections we have made along the way. And these will last forever.
