paint

this beautiful woodwork. They're going to tell me I'm going to like it but right now I want to cry I'm a farmer I've been like this since day one but they said they're going to paint what was beautiful was what worried me about this

kitchen

I'm in great need of a change image, let's see if we can turn it around for my friend Jeff when we finish this project.

Prep work is the most important part of a big project like this. I can't say enough about how important this is for the rest of the project to go well Joseph We started by removing the taken doors It's a good idea to mark all the doors so you know where they go when it's time to put them back Carlos drew a map In the

kitchen

we also marked all the hinges so that you can put them back together to clean the doors. It's a lot of work, so you have to clean up too. I used a white whitening cleanser for this.

You have to clean everything you are going to paint. This took me a few hours to do, about eight hours in total. Just cleaning up, I also had painter's tape everywhere I needed it and we protected the floor by sticking plastic cleaning things on it. Really anything will work as long as it keeps the pain from hitting the floor as we will be changing the hardware you will need. I filled the holes in the old hardware. I made this with Dixie mud, like I said the prep is a lot of work. I took all the doors home to paint them there.

I set up my studio with some protection on the floor. I also set up a bunch of paint buckets to act as spinners. I also made sure to leave the tape marking the doors, leave them where the hinges go so you don't have to worry about painting over them, so once I installed my door, it was time to paint before continuing. I want to give a shout out to Pam Hastings of 44 Marketplace when it comes to kitchen paint and

chalk

. She is the person you want to go to. I watched many of her videos and asked her many questions.

She answered everything, recommending adding two coats of paint on each side of the door and recommending using at least three coats of Gator skin on the outside and one or two on the inside of the doors. Do all of this before installing the doors. I'm coming back so that's exactly what I did, it would be easier for me if I turned around to run away, but there's something clinging on so tightly to enjoy now that it's Gator hide. I finally learn how to use it correctly thanks to Pam the secret. It's water, wet your brush and keep it wet the entire time you use Gator hide.
You don't want to spray water directly on Gator's height, but you do want to wet your brush. Change the game to apply Gator hide. Thank you. Keep it simple, I learned a lot about alligator height on this project and I'm so glad I did it. Then I went back to pay for the drawers and the rest of the kitchen. I couldn't believe the coverage. I only used two coats and the orange disappeared. It's also very difficult to play, so you pick up skin and, in addition to keeping the brush wet, you want to use long strokes with Gator's height, but Gator's height doesn't like to be overworked, he doesn't like it when you go over it, it would be easy if you miss a small section just continue don't try to go over it again you will have many more layers to cover everything now that it's time for the countertop and backsplash you want to clean this really well before you start you can't do it I'm also using a white coating cleaner for this, once the countertop and backsplash are dry, you want to add a little bit of slick slick bar, we're going to make sure we get the best bond between the paint and the countertops on something like a countertop in this passed.
It's very important. I need two coats of slick bar and let it dry overnight. Take me to the edges now as we campaign. I made the countertop and backsplash at the same time. I purchased this beautiful template online for the backsplash. I used black copier and a roller to apply it, it is beautiful and worked perfect. You can also fix any imperfections with a small detail brush and some baby white for the countertops. I used three colors of magnetic gray dixiebell fluff which was my white and some gold digger moonshine metallics for just a touch of gold.
I started by adding two coats of fluff as a base, once that was dry we can start on the marble. You'll need a sea sponge for this, you'll want to make sure it's moist and I'll say yes. Now I took a gray manatee and started stabbing it, you can see here, it's pretty simple, big, next thing would be the same with a gold digger once my body swings and I promise, can I dance? All the hearts in the world were looking for the match that many fish in the sea, but there is one of just then, go back to my flat white, my base color to tone everything down and blend it, make this countertop very easy and look so elegant when finished.
In fact, I was very surprised at how easy it was. Now just repeat this everywhere on the countertops and you can also wash the sea sponge from time to time if the colors start to blend together too much. You want to keep your work area moist, so keep your sprayer handy. It is so beautiful. I was amazed and very satisfied. with the results and finally, when it dried, it was time to use Gator Skin for the next week. I came every day and added another layer of Gator fur. I need six in total. We also brought a few doors each day and installed them as we went.
Jeff ended up holding the new hardware while we were away, these are the results of the project and I really hope Jeff likes it. Well, I'm the guy you met earlier, when they started the project. I had my doubts about how this would turn out, but I'm pretty impressed with it, it looks much more attractive now, you know, and I'm completely blown away by the countertop, which looks like granite, to me it looks very, very nice and with all the new knobs and with everything it combines, it is very good another incredible work from the Katy Carlos team
