Apr 27, 2023Beyonce is facing backlash over poor album sales for Protect Chloe Bailey and fans are saying it's really starting to look like Beyonce is
sabotaging
Chloe'scareer
. Chloe recently released her first album in Pieces of Her through Beyonce's Parkwood label, and music critics called it generic and soulless. it sold only 10,000 units in its first week and debuted at number 119 on the Billboard 200 chart and many fans now blame Beyonce for this and some even say that Beyonce issabotaging
Chloe on purpose but why would Beyonce hire Chloe? just to sabotage? the first project of hers, did Queen B have an ulterior motive to sign Chloe?Let's analyze this. Chloe Bailey's long-awaited solo album is finally here, however, sales have been disappointing to say the least, and Chloe fans say Beyonce is responsible even speculating that Beyonce only signed Chloe until her daughter Blue Ivy is old enough to take her place and that's why she's not putting too much effort into Chloe's
career
. Chloe Beyonce first signed her and her sister Holly hers in 2015, after the Bailey sisters went viral with their take on Beyonce's pretty hearts. Just two weeks after Chloe and Holly posted their cover art on YouTube, Beyonce's management company, Parkwood Entertainment, offered them a million-dollar record deal for up to six albums over five years.Chloe and Halle made their professional debut in 2016 with the Sugar Symphony EP and Later That. The same year, the duo served as Beyonce's opening act for the European leg of the lineup world tour between 2017 and 2020. Chloe and Halle released a critically acclaimed mixtape called The Two Of Us followed by two studio albums The Kids Are All Right and Ungodly Hour All of. which were released through Beyonce's record label, but after Hallie moved to London in January 2021 to film Disney's new adaptation of The Little Mermaid, Chloe decided to launch her solo career around this time, Chloe began to change her image and fans were saying she was wasting her talents by focusing too much on her sex appeal after Chloe released a feel-good Nina Simone version, many fans took to social media to say Beyonce needs to stop trying to turn Chloe into a mini version of herself and let her singing talents shine.
This is when fans also started saying that Beyonce wasn't investing enough in Chloe's music and that the label basically took the easy way out by sexualizing Chloe too much. The conversation grew even louder after Chloe dropped the music video for her debut single Have Mercy and fans criticized the footage as cheap and tacky, but instead of doing anything to help jumpstart Chloe's career in the Right way, Parkwood kept making horrible decisions that backfired on Chloe, have mercy. it was followed by another single called "Treat Me" and once again the song and video played the sex appeal card.
Sure Chloe was still serving as usual, but fans were tired of the same old overly sexualized lyrics and music videos. Anyone else feels like Chloe Bailey's team is wasting her. Talent fan Juan tweeted all after Have Mercy has been forced to provoke by sexualized crap that they don't know how to make music for her or that she's too talented to waste on this mainstream crap, get her a new gear and another fan wrote a day. we'll have to talk about how Parkwood is leaving Chloe in the water to drown out every decision since the Have Mercy video has been terrible and she can't even get a Lifeline from her record label owner who's a superstar, it just doesn't make sense to me on January 24, 2023, Chloe announced her debut solo album titled In Pieces and shortly after releasing the album's lead single, she prayed and although this time Chloe kept it pretty clean in terms of lyrics and visuals, she prayed .
She really didn't do what she was supposed to do and fans said it was disappointing and forgettable for a lead single, but things kept going from bad to worse for Chloe. The second single from her debut solo album turned out to be a collaboration with Chris Brown. which set off a new wave of backlash against Beyonce at Parkwood entertainment. Chris Brown really isn't a sensible choice for Chloe's fan base or brand. One fan tweeted that Parkwood soiled her with this one. more aligned with Chloe I'm leering at all sides in this case and another fan said I'm actually more mad at Parkwood than Chloe as Beyonce queen of secret limited drama and to only interact with her fans on her own terms is paying back Chris Brown for a feature where they could have just not fans were also saying the rest of Chloe's solo album better be full of hits because it was in desperate need of good publicity but sadly that didn't happen and in parts it turned out to be a big flop, the album was panned by music critics who agreed that Chloe's talents were wasted on underwhelming generic songs.
Pitchfork said that unlike Chloe and Halley's duet projects, Chloe's solo material feels manufactured to the point of sterility. The Guardian called it fragmented, while Nne noted that it's still unclear what kind of identity Chloe and her brand are carving out for her as a solo artist. It's also very telling that Chloe didn't even include two of her most well-known songs, Have Mercy and Treat Me on her debut album, which is definitely an odd move for an artist who's just starting out and then, to top it off, barely made it to pieces. to the Billboard 200 debuting at number 119 and selling just over 10,000 units in the first week of its release compared to Chloe and Halley's second.
The album as a duo Ungodly Hour debuted at number 16 on the Billboard 200 chart, sold 24,000 units in its first week, received Universal Acclaim from music critics, and even earned a Grammy nomination, so what's Parkwood doing wrong with Chloe? Beyonce is really sabotaging her on purpose. Well, it seems a lot of people blame Beyonce for Chloe's disappointing album sales and say she should have done more to promote Chloe on social media. Beyonce's role in Chloe's disappointing solo debut was recently discussed on The Breakfast Club and DJ Envy said Beyonce is at least partly to blame and could have done more, especially since she was the one who selected Chloe to be a Parkwood artist if you assigned someone's record label or are in business with someone who is part. than you assume or what you think is right if I'm an artist and I sign anyone and I've seen Jay-Z do it to his biggest artist Beanie Siegel to Rihanna to Kanye to Emil many fans agreed with envy and said that even if Beyonce didn't want to do a feature with Chloe, she could have at least posted her album on her IG because even a small thing like that would have helped raise the height of Chloe's project.
Beyonce is nasty for not promoting Chloe's album, a fan tweeted. a simple IG repost would probably have gotten Chloe a top 50 debut, if she was Nikki's artist she would have been dragged to hell and back and someone else wrote that Beyonce literally hates her lol she didn't do anything for the album or I couldn't even give her a feature and she doesn't even open up for her on tour. Chloe needs to leave that stamp, however many fans are now speculating that none of this is a coincidence and that Beyonce is sabotaging Chloe's career on purpose because she doesn't want Chloe to.
Outshine Beyonce's daughter, Blue Ivy. I'm starting to think that Beyonce hired her to stop the fandom of hers. She said that Beyonce doesn't want Chloe to replace her. Blue is B's replacement. That's why she already has a Grammy and performed at the Oscars at age 10. if
chloe
signed to another major label she would have already been a star and another fan responded which is whybeyonce
toldchloe
to drop a surprise only to kick off the revival era three days later she doesn't plan on letting chloe get too big in As for Chloe. Apparently, she addressed the negative comments about her debut album during a recent performance in Chicago and had a very clear message for the haters; however, fans are now saying that this kind of attitude will only backfire on Chloe and alienate even the audience from her. plus unless parkwood figures out how to properly manage his career this is where you lose us stop trying to be something you're not one fan commented and another fan said when you're more known for radical change in behavior than in music, what did they do?Think, but let's hear your thoughts on this. Do you think Beyonce is sabotaging Chloe's career on purpose, or is Chloe to blame for trying to push a certain image that doesn't feel authentic?
