best 65 mechanical keyboards of 2020...

Now if you're really lucky you might find a coupon somewhere where you can get it for around fifty to fifty two dollars depending on where you are or where you're looking from but this one is really good. recent review it has bluetooth 5.1 you can connect up to five devices you just plug in the battery on the back then hold fn and q w e r o t to connect to your devices of course it's a 65 it also has arrow keys it has rgb lots of different effects available here the usbc port is in the middle quite convenient however no raised feet anywhere so if you want to change the angle this probably isn't for you plus it has abs plastic keys which can shine with time wise the design is a basic 65 design nothing too special to see we have the tilde delete page up page down on the far right and another feature it has is that it can record up to three macros in zx and c but, Of course, all of that information is in our detailed video linked in the playlist right here, so if you're interested in checking it out. arlo go ahead and do it it's mac and windows compatible too so it's one of my favorite 65 keyboards and at this price it's really good it has pre-loop stabilizers these switches are ok that's one of the things i didn't like of these switches is that they are ttc switches and i dont know much about their longevity what they offer what they even who they are made by and stuff like that but for 50 to 60 bucks this is a steal now if you are looking for something even cheaper but you dont care the updated bluetooth 5.1 then you can see a rk68 more or less similar this is from epo maker and this is the apples maker s68 is build is exactly like the rk 68 except it has bluetooth 3.0 still can connect up to five devices but no it's so up to date and could be a little slower plus it has the breakers so if you're not keen on using those budget breakers then this might not be for you, but it's at 50 right now on amazon and that's the cheapest keyboard on this list so for fifty bucks it's still really good it comes in black or white and has rgb lighting too the sales page says it's switches optical and so does the case but for some reason I don't think it's still mechanical as I don't think the automatic movement does optical switches so this is what you can get for 50 bucks if it were me I'd just pick the real rk 68 clutch because that way i know exactly what i'm getting right so there's another board i'd really like to mention in the price range around 70 i don't have it with me because we had to sell it t as it moved all over the country and that's the walmier k66 now if you remember this we did an in depth review i'll link it here this is probably the best rgb board on this entire list it has an acrylic case on the super ior bottom center has bottom side brightness and of course the brightness of the keys themselves and you can change the bottom brightness separately from the top brightness.
best 65 mechanical keyboards of 2020
It has the arrow keys and it has a really unique layout. The shift to the right is 2u, so it's a little different than many. of these 65 boards that's something to keep in mind plus it's really cool is it hot swappable or is there a hot swappable version at least it has abs keycaps the legends are really clean a detachable usbc port and all that good stuff the casing of acrylic also gives it a deeper sound and it's not as pingy as other boards but it's different if you like rgb definitely check that one out it's really cool the downside is it has abs keycaps and the right sh. ift is a weird key size so i'll put up a picture or some extra stuff or some of that right now and you can see that ok the next one on this list is packed with full features and that's the kikron k6 now this it was my main board for several months and i did a bunch of mods to it and stuff so there's a lot of good stuff here the price ranges from 69 to 99 depending on which option you go for and there's a lot of options so the cheapest the option will be the white backlight only no aluminum bezels now we have one with rgb hot swappable plugs with aluminum bezels so it was about ninety nine bucks the full keyboard is probably what i would recommend you get if you're interested in getting the k6 so the k6 is mac and windows compatible it has bluetooth you can connect up to three devices and it's also hot swappable so it's really cool it has a function row dedicated to mac layout and you can change everything simply from the slider toggles on the platform Some downsides here though are that you have abs keys and the legends are really small low and low contrast doesn't shine the rgb very well and it has two raised feet here on the back so you can change the angles however you want.

I really like the aluminum bezels, it's sturdy, it makes it heavier, it feels good. I'm a big fan of this board but it was a game changing board when it came out because hot swapping wasn't that common back then but it looks great with the two tone keys and you can definitely check it out if you want very nice board though i would say the next board i would recommend for the sub 100 price range so this is the echo 3068 9009 retro edition and this is what i would recommend if you are going to buy a keyboard for under a hundred bucks unless you really wanted sw hot ap then this board won't get you a free board if you want an out of the box board this is it the stabilizers are wonderfully great no rattle the switches are cherry mx switches which it is not very common in this price range along with that the keycaps are all pbt they are sublimated it looks great it comes with extra keycaps with these special colors all the boards in this listing have a port detachable usb rto either usbc or mini usb so i did a review on this recently and this is a really good board for under a hundred bucks sounds great has a nice deep sound a great nice feel but here's the thing not it has special features it doesn't have bluetooth it doesn't have mac function row it doesn't have like any of this there's no hot swapping or even rgb but for something that's high quality that's going to last that feels good right out of the box with no mods this is the one to choose this is the one i would recommend there are some downsides though no foot kick th no rgb or white backlight and it's super simple but that's the benefit here it's simple looks good and feels good this is what i would choose but for those of you who need rgb i would go for the actual clutch or the gk68 elbow maker x this one has a lot of unique things going for it you dont get any boost but here you get a bar module is spacer with which you can do a split spacebar it comes with the full spacebar as well if you want it to have rgb but the keycaps that come with it are dye sub it's a gsa profile so it's uniform but it has a problem layout here and that's the backslash here it moves back one you're not a big fan but if you use backslash backslash on another key then it's a pretty good thing this hot swapping they also sell a version that's bluetooth for a bit more expensive they also sell a version with the full aluminum case for much more expensive but it has a split space bar it has rgb the keycaps are pbt they are a they are oil resistant they feel good and look good you dont need to get the version pink they have other colors as well did I mention it's hot swappable it has five pin hot swappable sockets it's pretty convenient when you're testing switches and trying to make mods the stabilizers definitely need some mods of course all the sound tests for each keyboard on this list will be at the end and then they will also be at the end of the in depth review videos ok? so that was all 65 keyboards on this list that are less than 100 if you want the best one that is in stock that doesn't need mods but you don't need rgb i would go for the echo 3068 if you wanted bluetooth then i would go for the rk 68 or the kikron k6, they're kind of a tie in that regard, but they're all really good boards.
I recommend you check them out using the links below and just make up your mind on what you think it would be. best for you but now for the really good stuff and that's the stuff it's over a hundred bucks it's a really competitive price range i have a lot of expensive boards here but let's start with one of my favorites and that's the ducky varmilo mia pro we got the all white edition but they have a lot of different color combinations and everything also has kickstands has rubber feet has a usbc port the downside here is this port is on the right hand side and i'm used to that everything is on the left side so my cable is crisscrossing my desk and i don't like that i have a completely standard bottom row with a normal right offset as well so one of the benefits here is you don't need to search for sizes special keycaps or anything to accommodate this layout.
One downside, though, is that it's a bit wider than other 65 boards, so it's a bit wider by about one fil a, even though it has all the same keys, that's because they have a blocker for the arrow keys here and then you have this. for the cluster here too and I really like this layout it looks great I look for these separate arrow keys and it comes with cherry mx switches variety of different colors pbt dye subheads very nice very very nice it's a A pleasure to write and a pleasure to use the stabilizers are amazing. on any other varmilo keyboard this one is good actually everything in this price range is good except for one thing another board that gets the basics right is the leopold fc 660m it has boot legs on the back , it has DIP switches so you can change the layout without software or anything and you also have a little bit of space here with that unique layout it's also a bit longer than a regular 65 keyboard but I really like the drawback it does have a mini port though usb and it's on the right hand side so if your cable crisscrosses your desk the best thing about this board is that it has sound deadening material inside the board under the pcb it also has foam sound deadening below The space bar here and the keys are some of the best standard keys on a board I've ever used.
They are double shot pbt and these legends will never fade. This is a quality space bar. Is really nice. Very good sounds. of this board that mini usb cable although i forgot to mention that it has cherry mx switches but for onelots more you can also get this with top race which is if that's your thing now next if you really like rgb then I would propose this is the best board on this entire rgb list and this is a winner this is the ducky one two sf and it's a classic it has a white bottom a black top for that contrast it has two boot feet it has dip switches it has nice pbt keycaps that are double shot and glow it comes with a few different colored keycaps and of course the zodiac space bar also which allows rgb to shine through nicely and all rgb is editable just on board along with macros its all firmware no software needed and the manual tells you how to do everything it does it takes some Takes getting used to, it's got a usbc port in here, it just looks great.
I love that this board has all the secondary functions in all caps. You don't need to memorize too much once you get the hang of it and you can move your mouse through the secondary functions. You can do multimedia functions. Lots of things are happening. for him but as far as rgb this is the way to go oh and it comes with cherry mx which is a variety of different types along with I think kale too and has a 2u right shift like so than keep that in mind when i'm looking for replacement caps for that though i don't recommend replacement caps because all those secondary features in there are pretty nice to have the w12sf looks good and feels good but doesn't feel as solid as the mia pro or the leopold but rgb wise it's a winner and then we have the most expensive standard board on this list and that's the alternate drop that comes in at around 180.
I think we got the basic 440 version, put our own keycaps, our own switches, but these are the original keys that came with. drop control so you can expect something similar it's two tone it's a double shot pbt shimmer thru the rgb on this board its really good it doesn't have back feet but it does have magnetic feet you can use to raise the tilt along with this being the only keyboard on this list with a full aluminum it has two usb-c ports here so you can connect to your computer with one and then do low voltage charging on your phone or something like that which on the other Side it's hot swappable it has three pin hot swappable sockets and board mounted stabilizers the stabilizers on this thing are just no good you should definitely upgrade or mod them or do something about it because they sound really are cl icky and just don't they are good at all and for this price i really would not recommend this board if you are going to pay 180 bucks for a keyboard there are other options out there you can check out the options custom nes that are out there are going to be better than this although it is qmk compatible so everything is programmable from the standard layer to the rgb and many layers to come it has its benefits but its really expensive for what what does it offer and then let's talk about customs there are so many options so many good options here i am not going to name them all but i really enjoy a great custom nice this is tofu 65 from kbd fans it has a brass plate on the back with no feet and this jing is thick it has a usbc port here i soldered this all together so you can get a hot swappable version if you get the dz65 pcb you can build it to your liking get the switches you want lube the switches get the stabilizers you want mod the stabilizers add foam is all it's up to you, you can do whatever you want, it's up to you, you can have 28 different switches in there if you want, but there are much cheaper options and let's start with the nk65 novelty key input edition so this starts at 60 this starts at 95 bucks it has a polycarbonate case an aluminum plate it has plate mounted stabilizers and it has five pin hot swappable plugs is it compatible through and there are a ton of different colors available one downside is the hundred bucks is just the kit and doesn't include switches or caps so you'll have to buy those separately but depending on what you choose it can still be pretty affordable , at least much more affordable than the drop alt.
Another good one is the dz65 pcb which is the rgb edition that is a hot swappable pcb and it has rgb you can match it with tofu 65 case that is this case and there are different colors available or you can get tata 68 case on fans kvd too and that's about 185 bucks without switches or keycaps so the price is definitely going up right now and then there's the kbd67 this one hasn't been in stock recently as far as I know and it's around 240 bucks it looks great though it's very clean nice design there's also the d65 in kbd fans that one is 330 bucks it's 65 it's a very very nice clean look definitely check it out and then we have a new one I think the Key Dot Company is doing it and it's called the ton gantry.
There's also different colors available, you can check it out on their website, the Key Dot company, and along with that, there's so many group buys, there's a lot of interest checks going on, there's group buying going on, there's different places where you can see everything. or you can even go to the mech marketplace on reddit, of course you'll pay a hefty premium if you go there, but it's super convenient when you can buy everything someone else has already built, okay? So j I just covered a bunch of stuff and I think this was a little bit more overwhelming than the best 60 video because there are so many options here, there are so many different features and there's not a lot of price variance here, which one would I go for?
If I had to choose one, I would choose the varmilo mia pro duck. It has a standard bottom row, so I don't need to search for anything when it comes to keycap replacements. change the caps lock and control places and it also has another function where you can replace the number row with the function row. I don't really use that, but I like to use caps lock as a control. It has cherry mx switches and the build just feels so good feels so good and the stabilizers are really good my second choice would be the leopold fc660m the sound deadening material on the dash is a definite plus and the space bar looks pretty good yeah , the usb port is outdated and i don't like the side that's on, but the keys are some of the best i've seen for the budget option.
I would go for the rk 68 at about 60 bucks. You can probably find it for 55 somewhere really good. I mean it's 60 and it has bluetooth 5.1. and rgb and loop stabilizers looks like it's the winner for sure so that was the video hope it was really helpful and not too overwhelming i know there's so much to look at and talk about and features but that's why we have in Detailed reviews of all these board playlists will be here so check it out and then what are 65 other keyboards you would recommend to help other people and post your recommendations below.
