Bagged 2500 hp 1970 Dodge Challenger named Havoc

Feb 27, 2020
Hey guys, what's up? It's "SHAWN" AUTOTOPIA LA and today we are finally going to photograph this car. This is known as "HAVOC." It's a

1970

Dodge Challenger, which made its debut at SEMA 2019 in the Maguire booth. There isn't a single panel, not an inch on this car that hasn't been touched by these guys. The car starts with a "Roadster Shop Chassis" base, which I think is an amazing starting point. "I'll open the hood" Just to give you an idea of the level of absurdity this car is. This is an all-aluminum 572 Hemi Procharged that puts out about "

2500

HORSEPOWER." Seriously,

2500

horsepower, so all the internal components have been made into the engine.

It has diamond forged pistons, so the supercharger is a Pro F3R charger with a direct crank. I mean, it's completely crazy. You can see the amount of manufacturing that went into the shroud just here. Obviously, the car is RideTech ShockWave Airbag and sits on American legend wheels. Very good configuration for the car. Again I love the color he painted them. And here there is such a radical contrast. It's a 20 x 8 front wheel. A huge 20 x 15 rear wheel. The front has a small, skinny 225 tire. "Micky. Thompson" rear tires 20 inches wide all around Has six supporting piston brakes 14-inch cross-drilled rotors Has a Tremec T56 dual-clutch transmission built And all the glass is mounted flush And again, as you walk around the car, you know everything you see on this thing has been touched, the lines have been sharpened, I mean some of the best metal work I've ever seen, to be honest with you, it comes from Rob and his travels through CAM Company.

They do a spectacular job. Personally I'm not a big air bag guy. You know that if any of you, those who follow the channel, have heard me say it before, it is not my taste, I am not against it. In the slightest, I probably would never have owned a car with an airbag. But I have to admit, it looks pretty bad on this car how low it squats. It is currently sitting at its lowest parking height. When you raise it to ride height, it still feels like it's sitting extraordinarily low. Another thing is you know it's funny with the door handles.

Today there are many different versions of these. Right hidden door handles, from GTR to Aston Martin. I'm not in love with these although I like the look. I like how they discharge like that My only complaint about them to be honest with you You're in a meaty muscle car that makes 2500 horsepower And I have this dainty little door handle that I'm personally loving. And for whatever reason I got pissed off by saying that, I apologize. I'm not saying they aren't great. I'm just saying it's not my taste. I really don't love it. As far as the exhaust goes, I didn't have any details on it, but I know they did everything in house, so it's a completely custom exhaust from the header. the way back, that's what these guys do, there's a touch that I think is just great on this car, he got it here and also on the front of the car.

In this car he did a lot of cool lighting in the interior. In the engine compartment there is soft lighting, as well as these logos that light up, which I personally think are. I think it's a great touch, it's great, one of my favorite things. This whole car is inside, here I can. I don't think of anyone where I've seen this before. It's how the trans tunnel goes through the cabin of the car. It's not swept under the rug. Underneath any type of interior leather, whatever. It's not buried in the back seat. It's the way the transmission runs through the car.
I think it's an extraordinarily cool touch because of the way these guys even do their own interiors at home, which I'm trying to think of any builder I know who does that. It's usually outsourced to someone like Gabe. These guys make 100 percent of their interior in-house. Which is amazing. 84 00:05:19,000-- 00:05:22,000 Think that they do everything in house, apart from the engine building, it's not something you see a lot. I know they went with Dakota digital gauges, which look great. It looks like on this car the way it's set up here really looks like it's a unique custom gauge cluster.
And then there are switches everywhere for all different types. of things You know, headlights, interior lighting, engine lighting, air ignition, everything is a button here. I like that they inserted an iPad into the dash here to control many of the different functions, especially the stereo. And I know you've worked on some different things as well. of the RING BROTHERS, which of you who have followed the channel do you know? 99 00:06:03,000 -- 00:06:05,000 I'm a huge Ring Brothers fan, one that immediately stood out as soon as I saw it. This shifter I know, this shifter is a Ring Brothers shifter.
Going back to the exterior, there is a lot of fabulous custom work they have done. One of the things I love about the awesome custom guys is the metal work they do because it's subtle enough when you just look at the car. But if you were to see this sitting next to a stock competitor, you'd notice how sharp this line running down the side of the car is. How sharp the lines are at the top. What they've done to the hood here. This whole line. that comes through the flush end bumper, I mean look at it, look how clean the space is there.
His metal work is spectacular. Here's another one from RING BROTHERS. Rob likes to use the set of hood pins. The other thing about this car is a theme that carries throughout. You'll see it in the engine bay, you'll see it in the interior. everywhere, which is just a cool touch carpet, again, it comes under here, you know how it's here on the deck, it's on the side covers, it goes to the hood, that theme carries over to the interior. I mean, this is a radical, radical, handmade custom. I wish I couldn't tell you how much I wish we could go drive the car.
But this car was finished about a month before SEMA. It was shipped here and displayed at the Maguire booth. The return. There has been no more driving here than them. take it through SEMA Ignited and from here over the next year it will be on the show circuit. He's going to the big Nationals here in Pomona. I know they will go to good old Ohio Delmar. They're going to do a ton of shows with So ultimately, for anyone watching who has the financial means and interest in this car, this car will sell after it makes the full show circuit this year.
The price, the sale price will be around half a million dollars. Yes, that's right, I just said half a million dollars. Yes, it will sell for the money of the house, but it really is a spectacular build and I love that it is him and the two of him. sons who do all the work on this car I got a lot of attention this year at Sema, it's funny, you know, I'm with a lot of you. Guys, I like workers building things I could probably afford, but I'm absolutely in awe. In the work that is done on a car like this, what these guys do is truly spectacular.
This is a mind-blowing killer custom, but I think the only thing left to do is turn it on so you can hear the glorious sounds this car makes. but you guys, that's it for our 70 Challenger cam rides photo shoot. Completely badass man, you can't question the quality of work these guys do. I mean, everywhere you look at this car, it's a truly spectacular build. I look forward to seeing what happens when it comes out to shows this year and seeing what kind of turns heads, it will be fun to see and ultimately it will be fun to see what the car actually sells for and somewhere along the way I hope we have fun driving this car or at least 150 00:09:36,000 - - 00:09:42,000 take a spin in it, but anyway that's it for our photo shoot of this wonderful construction.
