BABYSHOWER CANDY TABLE TREATS | DIY TREATS FOR A DESSERT CANDY BAR

Feb 25, 2020
oh well hello guys welcome back to my channel and in today's video I'm making some sweet

table

treats

for my niece's baby shower so if you want to see what I made and my struggles keep watching and Let's start with some rice krispie

treats

. this was pretty easy all you need is a 12 ounce box of rice krispies which doesn't have to be brand name it could be another brand whatever you prefer and I also had two bags of marshmallows both are 10 ounces and 1 cup of butter, that's pretty much all you need for this, you know, this rice crispy

dessert

, but obviously guys, he's here, I melted the butter and now it's time to melt the marshmallows.

You have to be really quick because I don't want it to caramelize, so it ended up being a little bit too clarified, but they still ended up really good, look how pretty they look, all melted, not yet, but look at that, that's good, but Anyway, guys, keep stirring. continually you just have to keep stirring, you can't stop like I said, if you let it sit there it will caramelize, but obviously now you ended up putting in the rice krispies, you know, little by little. A little bit, that's what you do and then once you have it all covered with the marshmallow, you just spread it on the tray and voila, there are your rice krispie delights, however, with this before you start to use my cookie cutter, I have to keep it in the refrigerator for about an hour, probably less.

You just wanted it to become firm so it wouldn't fall apart. We ended up putting it in the refrigerator a little longer than expected, so I just want you to know to leave it in there for less than an hour or you can even leave it out, however you prefer, you can store it anywhere as long as you wait a little bit for the rice krispie to harden. up so you can do it with your cookie cutters, so now obviously you see me here just spreading it out on the baking sheet as evenly as possible, it's a little bit difficult, which is why I ended up using my hands.

Obviously you see me wearing gloves and my sister-in-law sprayed my hand with just pan spray so I could really soften it up. You'll see me here just rubbing it and rubbing it, but guys, this was super easy. and super affordable, I think it was less than five dollars. I made these, maybe even less. Yeah actually yeah the last one anyway guys let's start with the cake pops. Now cake pops pop into my head. It was easy, but you will see during this video how. We had a lot of difficulty, so pretty much what you do, you can use any type of cake and just start pulling it apart, that's as simple as it could be and we used any type of frosting, any frosting that you prefer and we ended up just putting it on, you know? just add spoonful to spoonful to the cake, not the batter, but mix and mix everything just as we are doing now.

My sister-in-law helped me because you know she couldn't have done this without her. She would do it. I've been stressing myself out making all these little candies and treats by myself because it's a lot of hard work guys, no wonder people buy this anyway, just keep putting the frosting on until you get this kind of consistency that you can really roll on . We form it into balls, use a little ice cream scoop, you know, to try to make it as perfect as possible, and obviously even with the little ice cream scoop you still have to roll it into a little ball and I don't.
I don't know why I didn't show it there you go there you go girl that's how you know you just roll it into the balls that's it and let's keep watching us roll some balls and here are all the cake balls so these wafers of chocolate, guys, honestly, you know I didn't like it, but anyway, this is what we had, this is what I bought, which is still bad, but I bought these for Michael's and pretty much all you have to do is melt the chocolate and we. I ended up using a little bit, I think, a little bit of coconut oil and just added those little packets that were like a

table

spoon each, which will make the chocolate glossier and actually keep it from hardening too quickly, so That's pretty much what we're doing here: just melting. a little bit of chocolate so with the cake pops you have to put a little bit of chocolate on the stick and just pierce the cakes like that and then you're going to have to let it dry on its own for a few hours so that we could actually grab the ball mixture of cake, so as the cake pops get firmer, we ended up making some pretzel bars obviously covered in chocolate and you guys have to work really fast when you make these kinds of little treats because the chocolate dries out pretty quickly, so It's very important to have at least two people helping you because if I had done this alone I would have been very stressed because I like to stress, but yes, this was a great help, as you could see, while I was dipping the pretzel sticks, she just dipped them. grabbed and decorated them very quickly, no matter how you decorate them, it will still end up, you know, it's kind of cute, right, but we're not?
We ended up with those so we ended up making like I don't know 15, we actually liked quite a few and this edible spray paint was okay but it was really a bit of a mess because obviously you're spray painting anyway so that's what they look like I think which are so adorable well let's get to the cake pops guys oh my gosh these cake pops were ridiculous but they still ended up coming out good so what you do is quickly dip the cake pops into the chocolate and then just tap. do it very lightly, if you do it any harder they will fall apart.
Honestly, I think the cake mixture wasn't firm enough. I probably put too much frosting on, but that's okay, we just had to work really fast when making this, that's why I have a whole team with me because you know teamwork makes the dream work. I'm just kidding guys, no, real teamwork is very necessary when you make cake pops or any of these types of chocolate covered ones, so as you can see, it's just us. I was just doing some teamwork and obviously guys, it really fell apart. I kept dropping it in the chocolate and I was so frustrated I wanted to get away from it and here it is, you know, you know the feeling up close and personal, see that guys.
It was ridiculous, I think we honestly could have kept it in the freezer, it probably would have been better than the fridge anyway, so we took some of the chocolate and put it in this little piping bag, so we just cut the corner off and then we just spray. about pretzels and it's simple obviously the one on the right looks a little weird but that's how you know they're edible as long as they look cute for the first two minutes and then you just eat them. As long as it tastes good, it's fine, so we finish with the pretzels and how adorable those cake pops are.
Anyway, on to the Rice Krispies. I had this little heart-shaped cookie cutter and we pretty much, you know, cut out heart shapes. Honestly guys, we put it in the fridge too long so it got really hard, that's why it took a little while so I don't recommend leaving it in the fridge for too long, I'd probably say it should be 30 minutes. I'll be fine to do it for maybe 30 to an hour and again, once again, we're doing a little bit of teamwork and I'm just dipping half the hearts into the chocolate while she decorates, guys, that's it, You know, obviously, you guys saw some. some of the fights, but you know, that's how it works, like nothing was perfect, but they still ended up amazing and they ended up being very cute, there were some that were poorly decorated, but it's okay, I put it at the bottom when the I showed, but you will see at the end of the clip how the whole

candy

table came together because this is my final video of what I was making for my niece's

candy

table.
I know I've been talking about this for a few months so I'm really excited that you guys got to see the process of how I prepared everything so we had more cake pops to make because you know that's when we put it in the freezer just for a moment and it worked a little better. but as you can see, I was just closing the access or while she was, I had a switch because I was getting frustrated so I ended up just decorating a little bit and I realized I probably would have been decorating from the beginning because it's a lot. easier and a lot more fun I like my sister why did she get into the business you guys she was so proud of her cake pop and we were laughing out loud because I don't know I thought it was funny she was so proud of she. cake pop um she said it ended up looking like a brain but anyway I just wanted to share that little information but you were fun guys I really enjoyed doing all this because we actually spent time together and you know talking you know they just talk about girls, but guys, I hope you enjoy this video because I know I did, but yeah, I really appreciate it.
