which brought shiny stars and stripes, papers, worn out gears on the car, I have to turn. to the technology real quick, have them take a look at everything and then we'll come back and get ready and do what John is here again helping Doug, andy is going to run the gto today, it's going to be a lot of fun, a lot of action. I think I have to get six passes in total, but they're having a competition today, so we might have to sneak in between rounds.

John's favorite color, purple, it's not what he expected, it's not what he expected, it's red, oh red, it's okay, it's back, it's okay, well, boy. in a container ran it through inspections, no tech issues, we're adjusting the tire pressure right now, we're going to double check the fluids, stuff like that, we also had to adjust the belts a little bit, they were nice enough to make them so big. sit for me but of course every time you get in a new car I guess even if the seat changes or not you have to use a harness to set it up and then I chose a different screen at the aisle tech there's only one big tack and uh.

More Interesting Facts About,

attempting my nhra sportsmans license in a turbo fox body...

We just go through all the buttons and switches and what everything does, we have a boost controller here from one to twelve, hopefully we'll end up at 14 at the end of the day, um, that's all the stop controls, that's where the dash will go. Back on this for race week, Thickem might actually put some arm restraints on him and just delete him in the window net completely because actually you know these fox bodies are pretty tight and I'm a pretty tight guy. big, so it doesn't fit quite right, but That's small things, you know, but I'm really excited that today they're on an eighth mile, so my first three passes, which makes sense anyway, if you're running a quarter mile trying to get your

license

it's supposed to be a half pass so let's head to the staging here in just a minute get ready and do some runs we're heading to the staging lanes we don't really listen a proven tune yet, so we're just going to go here and say, "hey, we." We're trying to do this and see if we can start working here.

We have five passes today to make a 3 30 3 8 or 2 8 and hopefully two four quarters, so we'll see what we can do here. real quick, let me know, man, that was a great experience. I want to thank you because I haven't said it enough. Thanks to Doug Andy and Brian. Everyone at Motion Raceworks, this car is crazy and I'm just me. I'm excited to drive it well. First pass was 177 60 feet and 6 42 8 miles at 115. Um, I think that's the alarm for the foot sound. I think this parameter said wrong, it's only 140. Oh, yes, yes, I would bring it. Put it back over the wells, we'll cool it down, let it cool and check everything, yeah, I've got some kind of oil dripping on this side of the smoke, we can see, we'll touch it up a little bit and see what we can find, okay?

I'm going to spin like that two out of five down, that's an absolute blast and I can see how these fast platformers are becoming addictive, that's absolutely crazy, it's almost like it's in slow motion, though to be honest, come on to cool things down. Downstairs I have a little bit of oil on the windshield we need to look at something is leaking here it could be the brake master I might actually overfill it yesterday but let's check that reset the tire pressure and then see when we can sneak in I have three more passes and uh we need to build up this momentum a little bit, I guess I already threw my back, I'm pretty confident on the first one, so okay, we move on, you know, you see anything right away, so it's a little wet underneath.
I know we gave the

turbo

a quick spin, so we had a little more air in the tires than we wanted. We're at about 18, so about 3 30, I started to get closer to the center, but I didn't want to. losing form worse by letting it out so I stayed there but man it's a lot of fun we just looked at everything uh I was shaking a little bit right there about mile 8 100 115 and we lifted the front end a little bit and The wheel bearings were a little loose and that's probably very typical. They were new and probably sat on the run a bit.
They looked towards the rest of the car. We added a little bit of preload to the side of the right rear sprue because it pushed me a little bit to the right, I mean it wasn't bad but it was enough where I lifted it, I didn't know what was going to happen so I hope we got it figured out and it's pleasant. and great, now we're going to turn the momentum, you know, we'll give it a spin and see if I can hold on and make a good eighth mile. I need to do better for sure in this race and then I have After that, there are two quarters left where I really have to let it go, so this is probably my last practice, so to speak, before I have to figure this out, but we We'll head to the staging again and take it for another try, hmm.
This thing snags like a red devil fishing gate that felt pretty good dude so we headed to the prep lanes again and listened to the fuel pump the pitch was changing indicating a plug filter or a fuel pump went out, so just to make sure we took the pump out because I didn't want it to lean in the middle of my pass, that's obviously not good and when we pulled this pump apart, this positive had a broken cover and it was flat and touching the pump housing and probably an intermittent short, which was causing the fuel pump to do strange things.
We can't really fix it here right now, we just fold it up so it doesn't touch and just hope to get one more. take it out quickly and then we'll cut it up, yeah, heat shrink it or solder it back together, put it back together, but we only need five seconds at this point, so I'm just going to throw this back in while you're both tickling. The beams will be primed first and will begin to increase the revs to prepare. One thirty-three sixty feet on that one and five seventy-seven and I had to pedal there, went a little off the line and then came back. on the way back the temperature kept going up, it wasn't hot it only got to 190 but it's usually around 140.
Yeah when I stopped I thought the fan wasn't working and sure enough it wasn't there was a chunk of hose. like this one that was lying in here or somehow we picked it up on the runway but it basically got stuck in the fan but luckily I turned off the fuse and we changed the used ones while the fans were working again. I have one more pass. That's all I have to do and I got the license. I guess I didn't have to do a quarter mile. They weren't going to change anything. They said we could do it in the eighth mile.
I really wanted to run. the quarter, but we can extrapolate and do the math on add-ons and stuff to determine what the quarter will be, but, having a lot of fun, we'll go look at other cars for a while and then they'll sneak up on us. I came back for one more pass. I just finished my last pass. We have the Torah loaded. I rushed a little. I was just thinking about the bush lattes, but it was good enough. That's all I needed to get the license. I got the signature on the tower so I officially have my sportsman's license, which doesn't make sense, so watch out, I'm excited about Rocky Mountain race week.
I hope to improve and learn, there are so many things these guys have so much experience and knowledge that it is an incredible car. It's fast, there's plenty of car left, I just have to figure out how to use it, but again, big thanks to Motion Raceworks, if you haven't checked out that channel you should. They built that car in eight days and it is an absolute animal, you know, as the name suggests, stay tuned, we have more madness to come, this is just the beginning of my journey, see you soon, thanks for watching.
