Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Top 10 Secrets, Easter Eggs, & ReferencesJun 06, 2021
Assassin's Creed Odyssey has an absolutely gigantic world and with a world this big, you know it's going to be filled with a ton of different Easter
eggsand for this list we just wanted to point out a few of our favorites so far. Today I am here. are some of the
referenceswe think you should check out starting at number 10. This first one is a very good potential reference for the credit of the larger series where the credit looks like the YouTube pyro VIP user who is one of the first to spot it during a current date scene a conversation between Laila Hassan and Alya Ryan can end when they talk about why they're doing what they're doing Ilana refers to her love of history and Assassin's Creed enough and in part thanks to her The story of his grandfather's grandfather, a sailor and adventurer in Ireland, at first he thought that he could immediately assume that Sheikh Cormac, the main character of the underestimated scoundrel AC Laila, also continues to say that he creates his own luck. ike Alana, oh, he says, and that's one of the biggest quotes, funny enough not to say, actually, but he was technically born in New York to Irish immigrant parents and spent a lot of his time not in Ireland, but we know he's been there and after a Syrah. he continued to live and adventure, so we'll still count this one as a win and move on to number nine, as is the case with many games where the developers of Assassin's Creed Odyssey got creative with naming their trophies and achievements by even dropping a few external
referenceshere and there, in particular we have this is sparta, which you get for completing the opening battle of thermopylae. plus you're not entertained by what you get for competing in the arena and it's a very simple gladiator reference.
I'm sure there are some others buried in there who are just too dumb. to note, but it's always fun to see what references the developers choose to include in their achievements and trophy list at number eight on top of Mount Tai. The ghetto is at the highest point of the game world. Cassandra and Alexios will comment on the sight but they will completely overlook the
easteregg hidden in plain sight, right there on the summit is a piece of stone with a sword embedded in it, you can't interact with it and cannot be removed, but it is a clear reference to the sword in the stone in the King Arthur legend which arrives in issue 7, the starting point of the game has a huge stone Zeus monument as the first sinking point and if you've hung the pengus statues your character will make a little comment like oh it probably shouldn't be climbing here or something it's totally minor nonsense just thrown in there but we thought it was kinda funny and definitely worth the worth mentioning he said it's a little disappointing there's no butt jokes if you climb p the back instead it really looks like a huge missed opportunity and number six on the island of Naxos just south of Zeus Cove you'll find s the head of a donkey on the beach you are a lot of food and water this seems to be referencing the philosophical paradox of loads asked what is a hypothetical situation where a donkey that is equally thirsty and hungry is placed directly between abundant hay and water and you can't choose as they're both equally close you can't choose and you die is an odd reference to have in a game like this but I mean we've seen stranger and darker things so it's no surprise in the slightest move to number 5, so there are a ton of skins you can get for your horse Phobos, but one epic level of skin you can directly acquire turns into a unicorn complete with a purple horn and trails of rainbows coming out from the hooves when he gallops around the game world killing wolves or whatever exactly you do there is no doubt that there is something involved to get it c get the skin from various smithies in the world and it will cost you s sixty four hundred drachmas.
The selection of furs seemed to come and go, so you might have to go round a few shops to get it, but once you find it, it's definitely worth picking up as it's a very weird and fun option to travel with. around the world and go to number 4. Ask Rio de Si. It has some pretty cool Easter
eggsthat are worth checking out. First there is a sitting rabid statue. a shelf that Laila doesn't really seem to know how to react to and then on the opposite side of the loft you'll find a pair of night vision goggles.
I look a lot like Sam Fisher's iconic glasses and when I interact with Millea. says they look like third or fourth step glasses you can also look at Big Bend from the loft window and Lela wonders if the Frye twins would recognize a modern day London the Freud twins are digging up and frying the two
assassins you play as an Assassin's Creed syndicate Eev ee can also be unlocked as a lieutenant of your ship through club you play, just a heads up, it's always great to see characters from other games in the series referenced, but can we talk about Sam Fisher's glasses? for one second? cute or maybe we will have a Splinter Cell announcement soon and Splinter Cell takes place in the same universe as Assassin's Creed I have so many questions going to number three in the center of the Great Mount Parnassus you will find Kratos' cave, who may think he is a God of the war, it's recorded, but it's not actually that the Spartan traitor took the purchase to win the Battle of Thermopylae, it's here that Leonidas gave His life fighting the Persians when he walked past Cassandra or Alexia mentions that they feel like a traitor to Sparta just for walking through Kratos' Macy's cave and thinking they're about to walk into a God of War easter egg, but instead they're having a blast.
It's also a history lesson when you come out of the cave on the other side and are met with a very beautiful view, definitely a very worthy screenshot. Coming in at number two on the island of Messara, there is a sinking point located in the middle of the island called Gorton. waterfall when you arrive that you can tell it looks very familiar because it references Black Panther's ceremonial fight you know the one where T'Challa has his power stripped away to fight both in Baku and killing Monger is obviously not as big and grand as it's in the movie there's only a few people watching two random guys fighting in the water but the animations are really cool because these two embassies were specifically animated to fight like this it's not just two guys throwing fists it's like they're really fighting. but yeah this is just a really cool little easter egg and if you wanted to you could be a jerk and spartan cake both NPCs are out of the waterfall but I don't think you have the power. f the Black Panther for finally making it number one if you find yourself anywhere near malice make sure you head over to Pandora's Cove at the tip you'll find a cool little easter egg reference is one of the biggest open worlds last year games If you head to the top of the island, you will find a small circle of rocks with a small statue in the middle that has a leaf on its head.
This is an obvious reference to the central ox and the breath of the wild, sadly there's no way to interact with this so you don't hear a bit of a jingle or dance or anything like that, but it's great to see Ubisoft keeping up with their relationship with Nintendo and lays little Zelda easter eggs in Odyssey and those are some of the easter egg
secretsand references we think you should check out but we want to hear from you so find us in the comments and let us know what you think if there are other easter eggs, references or secrets. that you guys may have figured out we did please don't leave them in the comments below to share with everyone else as I'm sure you really know it the like button really helps us and if you're new here subscribing is a good idea because we post videos like this every day as always thanks for taking the time to visit and hang out with us we really appreciate it and see you next time here in game ranks.
