foreign but every legend is a myth some are made of flesh and blood some legends walk among us but are born constructed Legends are made of iron and sweat mind and muscles blood and vision and victory Legends and champions grow win conquer there is a legend behind every Legacy there is a
blueprintbehind every Legend I am Arnold Schwarzenegger this is my
blueprintI always believed in to be motivated or work very hard you need to have a vision in front of you and somehow after having seen the world weightlifting championships in Vienna and having seen Tommy win the Mr Universe contest the next day right there at the same event in 1961 and seeing all this muscle, strength and command, had a profound impact on me as a 15 year old, I was now completely made up. that I'm going to go train and then I'm going to take this seriously that I want to be one of those guys.
I started looking at heroes, muscle guys and heroic guys and I bought this magazine that Ridge Park had in and it basically had him as undercover Hercules and best coincidence, he did the whole blueprint of his life of how he became Mr Universe, the routine of
training, I mean, if I was ever lost about what to do in life, that's gone, now I have direction. Then I realized that I have a special ability that you really can't. I think
trainingbecause it's the ability to visualize things very clearly because I'm a visual learner, so I saw very clearly in front of me being up there on that podium in London. where Ridge Park was and seeing the hundreds of bodybuilders around and me elevated with the trophy in my hand and celebrating and thousands of people shouting my name and that for me that vision was the motivating factor that brought me to the gym, but almost as if It was so strong that they didn't really need discipline, they just took me there, they just absorbed me in it on the train every day because for me it became like every worker they do from now on would take me one step. closer to turning this beautiful vision into reality and this is what really motivated me and went to the bone, it became Mr Universe Mr Universe Mr Universe training training training sculpting your body eating the right things This way and just staying focused and maintaining eye on the ball at 20 years old I turned my vision into reality and became the youngest Mr.
Universe of all time. Oh, I felt like without a doubt he was the New Hope in bodybuilding. I didn't feel that. I've still gotten to where I wanted to be, I felt like I was at the beginning of that because being Mr Universe is like winning the Gordon Glove Championships in boxing or winning the Olympics in boxing but it's a long way from being the best fighter so uh, I I realized that very quickly and I told myself that I really had to earn that to get there and that it would still take me some time and that there are bodybuilders in America who were extraordinary like Sergio Liver and Draper and people like that. and there were great champions here, they were really extraordinary, they were muscular, they had much more quality of muscles than mine, they were much more defined and perhaps their poses were even more sophisticated, etc., but without a doubt I had the best potential and I am very young, I'm much younger than all of them, so when I came I really appreciated their excitement in the gym, that's the guy from Austria, that's the guy with the 21 inch arms.
This is the guy that he knows is already deadlifting 700 pounds and he's the one that you know, so there was a lot of positive reactions from me coming here and there was also some jealousy that they had to get over, but it was really cool. . feeling and the other side is that I think it's very important when you come from so far away and you feel alone, you feel kind of lost because now you're in a different country, you don't speak the language, I only knew this, great. English I could barely really communicate I couldn't watch the news yet I couldn't read the newspaper yet so I was somehow blocked from the outside world and then to have this kind of love and this kind of inclusion I mean, it's a really incredible kind of behavior that I detected in those bodybuilders that they didn't know me at all, that they only knew me from what the magazines showed, you know the photos and the stories, etc., but they didn't know me in person, so it was really extraordinary to come here, the American , having that feeling and being received without moms.
I would never forget it. I would say when it comes to size or anything like that, I never felt like I wanted more, but I wanted more perfection. I never felt like I reached my 100 percent potential and I think everyone feels that way. I felt like I wanted to have bigger triceps than I had. I felt like I wanted to have thighs an inch bigger than what I had. I felt like I wanted to get more definition in my abs than ever before. I felt like I wanted to develop my lats even lower and tighter in what made the waist that I've always worked on, so there were certain things like that that I felt. that if I could have clay I could show the world where I wanted to make improvements and then when the final months of the competition come around you can take that dough, chisel it away and work on the details. we'll go and watch our body fat go down and down and down and we'd take pictures like Fanatics Franco would take pictures of me.
I would take pictures of it and we would just compare shots and still be able to see the improvement of all things. time and then you still see problem areas, then you have to go and say: I still need the separation, but in my abdominals and intercostals and the serrators that connect them to the labs, how do I do that? Okay, I have to go to close grip. chin-ups I have to do more pullover exercises I have to do my abdominal exercises I have to do knee bends and leg raises and all that stuff so then you start sculpting with the different exercises that we have available Is it the Good thing is training smart, you know what the inventory of different exercises you have available for each weak point, but the key is to set the course to do the training every day to eat the right way and you're done. and you reach those marks and then you move the bar higher, then you move the bar higher and that's what separates the winner from the loser and you feel that with hard work you can achieve the goals and you can be successful.
This is the best thing about Bodybuilding because if you get good at it and the company leaves, you will know that you can use the same principles for everything else in life.
