AirPods Pro vs AirPods 2 - Honest Thoughts After 1 Month!

Feb 27, 2020
What's up guys? My name is Brandon and the Air Pods Pro have been in my ears every day since they launched about a

month

ago and I wanted to share with you my full review and real world differences between the Air Pods Pro and air pods because, To my surprise, not everything was better with the pros, so let's start with the obvious, the Pro air pods look very different from the air pods and the air pods: they have a significantly shorter stem, here we have the interchangeable silicon. The ear tips as well and the part that sticks in your ear are also a bit bulkier and while it may seem like a small difference just looking at them here, especially the stems, once you compare the two when they are in your ear o If you see someone else with these in their ears, you may instantly notice the difference after being in public a lot this

month

.

I started to notice that a lot of people were using regular headphones or headphones; in your ears because of this issue it just seems a lot longer when I see it on people now because I'm used to these short stems on the Air Pods Pro. The charging case is also slightly different. You can see here that the Air Pods Pro case is much longer and shorter than the Air. pods and air pods - case here we have the same little button on the front here that indicates the charge levels, we have the Lightning port on the bottom and then we have that chrome hinge and also the connect button right there to connect to a new device and the way these two cases open are exactly the same, but I found that because of the size of the original earbuds case and the

airpods

case to the case here, it's much more satisfying to just open them up and play with them.

More Interesting Facts About,

I know a lot of people probably do this, just open the headphone case and fiddle with it, it's so much better, so much more satisfying I guess, on the Air Pods; compared to the Air Pots Pro, I also noticed that my pros have stayed put. much cleaner than my earbuds - for the first month the

airpods

tend to have a lot of wax on the inside, like it's a mesh part of the real airpod, but since the pros have the silicone tip, it prevents most of the that wax goes deep into the Air Pod, this is something I wanted to mention because the Air Pods and the Air Pods got very dirty with dirt and ear wax very quickly, it didn't take long and had to be cleaned quite frequently. but with the pros I've only noticed very small amounts of wax on the tip here and it's easy to remove right away without any tools like a toothpick or something, like you need what the air capsules do to get deep in there.

Now as for the fit, at first I thought the medium size tip fit better with the Pro earbuds and even when I did the fit test it said they were fine in my ears but the earbuds kept coming loose. My ears when I was at the gym, when I was biking, even when I was just walking they would come loose so I had to switch to these little tips and then they fit perfectly and stayed very tight in my ear so you will definitely have to experiment with That's if you get the air pods Pro and like I said, the first thing I need to do when you get the video of the air pods pro is not just listen to the test that you have to do because it's not entirely accurate.

It may not be the best for you, so I like the comfort of the Air Pods better, as they fit perfectly and you know they work right out of the box. I didn't have to go through and try different tips and things like that, so I also liked that more about the air pods compared to the air pazzo, but in terms of overall comfort, I would say that the air pods Pro feel a little more comfortable in the ear once the correct tips are placed and that is definitely not the case. something I expected and I didn't expect that because earbuds can be very uncomfortable and they just build up pressure inside, but Apple really thought about that with the Air Pods Pro and they used a little pressure valve and each one of these. air capsules to reduce the amount of pressure inside your ear and this is very similar to what they did;
It's actually the exact same thing they did with the power beats pro and this is huge for me especially when I'm on a plane as they tend to build up a lot of pressure, it's huge for me that they added this little pressure valve in the air Potts Pro. You will also have more confidence with the pros when they are in your ear so they don't fall out. and stuff like that, especially if you're at the gym riding a bike, you'll have more confidence in the pros simply because they stick in your ear a little further than real headphones where they just dangle. in your ear unless it's a perfect fit it was a perfect fit for me and I've never really had any problems with the airpods falling out of my ears but I would say for most people you'll probably have more confidence with the airpods .
Pro in your ears just because they're going to go a little deeper in there and be more secure in your ear. Now, speaking of the gym and bike rides, I tend to sweat while doing those two activities and luckily the Air Pods Pro are ipx4 rated for water and sweat resistance while the airpods are not water or sweat resistant Now I have sweat in my headphones and I've never had any problems with them, but it's a nice peace of mind to know that the pros are really built. Because of that, I don't sweat much either, so that could be the reason I've never had problems with my headphones, but you should know that the Air Pods Pro will be better for the gym and any type of activity where Now I would sweat as soon as Functionally, the Air Potts Pro are very different to the Air Pods, so on the Air Pods we tap the Air Pod to invoke gestures, but on the Air Pod Pro we just tap and hold the stimulus here and you'll do it.
See, we've got a little indentation there for the little haptic button and we hold it down and that's how we invoke the gestures on the Air Pods Pro, which I actually like a lot better. I didn't like it at first. Some getting used to coming from the air pots, because it's very different, but I like it a lot more, it also gives you a lot more custom skill options, which I'll talk about here in a second if you go to the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone. and go to your Ear Pods Pro right here and click on the eye.
You can see that you have several customizations here that you can do now. What I want to focus on now is holding down. air potentiometer, so this is where you can change what the airpods actually do, so they left it for Siri and the right one for noise control, basically turning transparency mode on and off and those settings look very different with the airpods, if we continue. here you can see the air pods all you can change is what the double tab does on each air pot there you basically have media controls in Siri that's all you can change and with the air pods pro the media controls are how to go to the next one. song and the previous song and you know, play pause and stuff like that, it's all built in, it's nothing you can customize, which is nice because it gives you more customization options for all the other things they can do, like noise cancellation and transparency mode and things like that. so and being able to switch between transparency and noise cancellation is very convenient again, just touch and hold the stem of the air pod Pro and switch between those two modes.
You also have the control center right here, with a 3D touch on the volume. Right there, as long as your air pots pro are plugged in, you can see down here that you can also quickly switch between noise cancellation and transparency mode, and speaking of noise cancellation, that was clearly the biggest selling point for the pros and definitely does not disappoint. One of my biggest complaints with airpods was how horrible they were in noisy situations, like if I was on a plane, if I was in a crowded store, you know, when I was grocery shopping, all you could hear was the plane engine. the people talking to you here, the music playing in the background in the store, they basically had to turn up the volume on the air pods to block out those outside noises, but with the active noise cancellation on the air pods Pro you don't hear any of that and you don't need to turn the volume very high either.
I use them on my bike ride every night and I'm on the sidewalk, you know, right next to the road where a lot of cars go by and you almost never hear the sound of cars, it's a big difference from air pots and so Of course, these are headphones that don't cover the entire ear, so they won't be as good as over-ear headphones, but again, we don't want to wear, you know, big over-the-ear headphones on our bike rides or on the road. supermarket, but it's very impressive because they don't go over your ears and at the end of the day, convenience is the number one reason to buy air pods, everything else should be secondary, so you shouldn't think that when you walk into This, you'll think will sound as good and attenuate as much noise as over-ear headphones.
I also mentioned transparency mode a minute ago and that also blows me away with how Cool, it actually is now, if you don't know, transparency mode basically lets outside sound in so you can hear what's going on around you . It basically amplifies external sounds using an outward-facing microphone and it's very, very convenient. I switched between the two modes many times. like at grocery stores and at a gym, any time I need to hear something or someone around me, it's great to be able to switch between noise cancellation and transparency just by using the stem, just by pulling it for a long time , or again I can do it.
From my phone and the control center, now with the Air Pods you can also hear the person or the sound over your music, so you can see it as more convenient in that case, but I think music is much more. It's nice to listen to in a more relaxing way, even listening to it with the active noise cancellation on and without external noise coming into your ears, and because of the noise cancellation, the overall sound quality is much better than the airpods, while that the bass is much more powerful in the mids and the treble is more distinguishable and the overall listening experience is much better and let me clarify very quickly if you listen to high quality music, that is where you will notice the big difference in the sound, but if you listen music like on youtube or just not very high quality or just very well known tracks, you won't hear a big difference between the air pods Pro and the air pods, but if you listen to hip-hop or anything that is a little loud, it has bass or Anything that's not on YouTube you'll definitely notice a difference in sound quality and although noise cancellation drains the battery a little faster than using it without noise cancellation, I think it's worth it and speaking of battery life battery, Apple tells you.
I'll get the same battery life on both models, but I found that the Air Pods Pro don't live up to the claims Apple makes, so Apple claims they'll last four to five hours with active noise cancellation turned on and the volume at 50%. , but I tried it. I did this by listening to podcasts while working one day and got 4 hours and 10 minutes of battery life, so I'm about 20 minutes short of what Apple claims and if the volume was higher than 50% they would have run out even sooner , meanwhile my headphones - here I consistently get 5 hours without charging, so the battery life is a little worse here, but

honest

ly, I'm fine with having a little less battery life for a much better listening experience, Of course, if you put them in the charging case, they will catch you.
Also learn about the 24-hour battery life for both models, and if you have charges all the time, where are those charges? Especially, you will probably never run out of battery in your case and you will never have to worry about battery life at all. It depends on how you live and know where you use them and stuff like that, but I'll gladly pay a little bit of battery life for a much better listening experience now, as for the price of the airpods, with the wireless charging case it's $ 1.99 and the Air Pods Pro are 249 so there's a $50 difference if you buy them from Apple now, if you don't have a wireless charger in your house or don't plan on using one in the future I'd go. with the air pods: just with the regular case, they don't have a wireless charger, this case is here and you can tell when it doesn't have the button on the front, here the LED indicator to show the battery life and if you use it.
The air pods, without the wireless charging case, will cost 159, so that's a $90 price difference from the pros, which is pretty significant, so you should buy the air pods Pro or the air pods , so if audio quality is important to you or if you just want to listen to music or a podcast and be at peace without all the outside noise entering your ears. I think it's an easy decision to pay more for the Air Pods Pro now if you want to buy Air Pods for more.convenience to answer the phone. calls and I don't care too much about getting great audio quality or blocking out noise, then I'd go with the pods;
They're also a little easier to get in and out of your ears than with the Air Potts Pro. Not a big deal, but I wanted to mention that it's a little more convenient to get in and out of your ears with the air pots. Now, if you go to the gym, if you go for a run, if you ride a bike, or if you do anything. sweat induction type then that would go with the pros as they are water and sweat resistant while the two are not and of course if you are on a budget and don't want to spend over $200 I would buy the air pods, or if it's a gift, I would choose the airpods, so if you have an iPhone or the person you are going to give them to has an iPhone, the air is paused no matter which one you receive.
They are essential and are a perfect gift, but of course the air pots pro air pods also work with any phone via bluetooth, you just have to press and hold this button back there and you can't connect to any phone via bluetooth, you just You can't take advantage of that h1 chip inside that makes the connection process as simple as possible, so there you have it guys, those are my observations after a month with the Air Pods Pro compared to the Air Pods. - I hope this helped you choose which pair of headphones to buy, let me know in the comments section below which ones you want, which ones you have, let me know all your
