. set of ear tips, these are going to be some very useful tips and tricks that you should know to get the most out of your new set of ear tips, so we won't waste any time, let's go ahead and get into the The first thing you need to do is make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS thirteen point two or later and you can do this by going to settings, go to general, go to software update and you should see iOS thirteen point two there.

If you don't use it yet and if you don't have iOS thirteen point two, you'll see this little pop-up right here that says that some features of this audio accessory require a newer version of iOS and it will ask you to update properly. That said, you can use the Air Pods Pro on versions prior to thirteen point two. You'll miss out on some of the best features of the Air Pilots Pro, so you can see here that these are actually the settings. page for pre-iOS devices thirteen point two and you can see there that you can still turn noise cancellation on and off, but you can't customize any of the options, you can't turn transparency mode off or on and you're very limited in what you can do inside the settings if you are not on iOS 13 point two, so we definitely recommend that you update your phone to iOS thirteen point two before using your air pots Pro and while we are on the topic of boring software updates and updates of firmware let's talk about firmware for air pods because yes your air pods also have a firmware version and they also have firmware updates like your iPhone and in fact you can find this by first making sure they are in the case and connected to your device, you want to go to Settings Overview and make sure the case is open and then you want to go under the Eid, you'll see the air pods right there, you could say Britain's air pod pros go ahead and tap on that and here It's where you get the information about your Air Pod so you can see right there.

More Interesting Facts About,

airpods pro first 11 things to do...

I'm currently on the latest firmware version at the time of recording this and the Air Pod Pro actually ships with firmware version 576 and that. I had a problem with charging, so some people reported some major problems with charging, so Apple removed the fix and this is the current latest version of the recording, but of course this will not be the case if you are watching this later. date, but if you are going to turn five seven six, if that is what your firmware version shows, you definitely need to update the firmware of your air pods and the air pots will update themselves, all you have to do is have them in the case right here. and then you just want to set them on a wireless charger or just plug them in and charge them and it will update automatically, you want to force the update, you just know you have your phone nearby, you unlock it and then it should update. and you can go back to the general settings belt to make sure the firmware has been updated on your Air Pod Pros.

Now that we've got the boring stuff out of the way, let's get into some of the more interesting

things

you should do first. your air pod pro, so the first thing I would say after firmware versions and things like that is to determine what size ear tips best fit your ear, so as you know, the air pod pros come with three different sizes for these silicone ears. tips here so we have small, medium and large, they ship with medium and then you get this in the package with small and large, where you can change them depending on the size of your ears, so obviously you're going to put them in your Listen first just to see which ones feel best, but Apple also includes something called an ear tip fit test that will actually tell you if it's the right fit, so I'll go ahead and put these in my ears and then I'll tell you why it is.

You might not want to hear that, so let me put them in my ear real quick. Now we're going to go to our settings, we're going to go to Bluetooth and we're going to find the little eye next to it. our Ear Pods Pro right there, go and tap that and scroll down and you'll see your tip fit test right here. If you want to go and play that, then we want to click on the play button and it will play us a song. I played that fast and you can read right there that it says I have a good seal in the middle, but however you should try the other ones, just because it says you fit well you should try the other one, so I'm going to try the small ones because a lot of times how much The smaller the tip, the better it will probably feel inside your ear, so it's pretty easy to remove the tips, you just have to use a little force, just pull them out. it comes out like this, like this, like this, and now if we want to put the little one in, it's very easy to just attach it, you'll hear a little click like this, once you hear the click, it'll be there and then go ahead and put this in. in your ear and see if it feels better than the medium because just because it says it fits well doesn't mean it's going to be what feels best in your year, so now that I have the small end, we're going to make this real. quick and you can see it says I have a good seal with the small ones too, so just experiment, use all the different tips depending on your ear size and see which one feels best in your ear, don't just settle for the medium alone Because it says it has a good seal and feels good in the ear, they might find something that feels a little better.
The next thing they want to do is learn the new stim gesture so the Air Pods Pro have a new set of gestures and a new way to invoke the gesture, so if you had air pods one or air pods two, you're used to it. to just tap and double tap to skip tracks or pause tracks or go back and things like that, but it's different. with the air pod pros because you actually use a little squeeze and hold gesture instead of touching the air pod itself because the air pods are a little smaller and that would mess up the fit in your ear if you just touched them like that.
If you look very closely at these air capsules you will notice a small indentation on the outward facing side of the air legs and that will be where you will invoke these gestures, it will be what you squeeze, it will be what you touch, it will be what you hold. when you do all these gestures that I'm going to show you, so keep in mind that he will be facing outwards. It will probably be a little strange at first doing these gestures, but you will get used to it and you will probably like it more than tapping, so if we go into the menus here we have the left and right air pod and this is where you can select what you want each one to do With the touch and hold gesture on the stem of the Air Pod you have the options of noise cancellation, transparency and deactivation.
Well, I have the Air Pods in my ear right now and you can see here that it's set to noise cancellation and transparency on the left and then on the right. Same thing, so we have the same settings for both, but they do different things, so I'm going to go ahead and invoke my left here and open this up here so you can see what it does with noise cancellation and transparency. down here at the bottom so I'm tapping and holding on the bottom left and it switches to noise canceling so right now I can barely hear myself talking about tapping and holding on the right air pod it switches to transparency , so it is very easy to change. back and forth when you have the gestures set up the way I have them set up.
I think that's the default way too, you can change it if you want to invoke Siri and stuff like that, so just play with them and see what works. The best thing for you is that now you also have the option to play/pause to skip the previous track and stuff like that, so I'll go into my music so you can see how it works. I said this is what I'm going to make the iPhone for. It thinks my Air Pods are in just by squeezing them like that. I'm going to show you how these gestures work for the music controls, so what I have to do is squeeze it once, just squeeze that and you'll feel it come out a little bit and twist that. down you'll hear a little noise, you'll hear a little click when you invoke that gesture again, that's just a simple tap and hold for a short second and that will play and pause your music, as you can see right there, don't hold it down. otherwise it will do what we just talked about with noise cancellation and transparency mode, but if you press it twice, it skips the track, like this, boom, boom, like this and it will go to the next song, let's try it again here yourself, you will hear it.
You can see right there it's changing songs on my iPhone and then three taps, if you just press and squeeze three times quickly, it's going to go to the previous track, so again, a single squeeze is a pause, a double squeeze is to go to the next clue. Press three times to go to the previous track so one last time I'm going to show you boom boom that goes to the next song one two three that goes to the previous song and then one tap starts playing the music one more tap and pressing makes it stops, so it's very easy and you will definitely master it.
It's a little strange at first, especially if you've had old headphones, but I actually like this one better. I think there is a lot more versatility with this method. of the gesture, so I'm a big fan, just get used to it and learn them because it will be very useful when you're doing things and you don't have access to your phone, like if you're riding a bike or playing a game. you have something like this, the next thing you need to do is set the microphone side, so again inside the settings here, scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the microphone right there, this should be set to change automatically, but you can also have this to always left or always right air pod and it basically says right here that it says that the active microphone on the air pod can automatically switch from left to right or be fixed to the side, so obviously both air pods have a built-in microphone. but for some reason, if you just want to have the microphone active on one side or the other, you can change that setting right here now.
The next thing you need to do is understand what the colors of the LED indicator on the headphone case actually mean. because there are several different colors for this and you need to understand what that means to be able to identify everything that's going on with your charging case, so if it shows up as green as you can see mine right there, that means the case is fully charged If it is amber, it is like an orange color, which means there is less than a full charge left. You may also see a solid red or flashing red LED light and that just means that you have a very low battery life, like a critical level, like 1%, and you need to charge it as soon as possible and finally you also have a flashing white indicator that It usually happens when you press and hold this back button here to pair a new device, that just means your earbuds are in pairing mode, the next thing you need to do is add the battery widget to your widgets section, so go to your home screen and go to the widget section right here, scroll down to the bottom to edit and then look for batteries right there and tap on the little green plus sign and then you want to grab it and drag it to the top.
Click Done and now you will see the battery percentage at the top and it shows the battery percentage of your earbuds that way you won't have to constantly open your Air Pods case just to see the battery percentage because that's what which you normally do if the

airpods

were here and you wanted to check the battery, but now you can check the widgets and always see the battery level of your

airpods

and it will do that for the case and also each individual air pod, so it's very useful and very useful to be able to see the battery percentage right there on the home screen.
You can also access this from the lock screen just by swiping like this and you can see. There's now another really cool feature that was included with iOS 13, so I think you should check it out, it's called live listening, so if you go into our settings and scroll down until you get to the control center, here you're going to customize the controls and down. here you'll see listen, it's a little blue ear, right there you'll see listen, right there, go ahead and add it to your control center toggle list, so go ahead and swipe down to invoke control center and you'll see this here same. go ahead and tap and press that and you'll see listen and it says not available for current route that's because we don't have our airpods so you want to put your airpods in and then we want to press where it says live.
Listen for off to turn it on and you can see it is on. I'm going to turn it off so I can explain this to you without listening to myself, but basically what it does is you can hear what's near your iPhone. It uses the microphone on the side of your iPhone and actually amplifies the volume around us so you can hear everything that's going on.around your iPhone so technically you could set your iPhone to sleep and go upstairs and be able to hear everything that's going on downstairs because your iPhone is using its microphone transmits that audio information to your airpods so it's a way really interesting to supply to people and you can really hear a lot of things.
It's a really cool feature, especially if you're hard of hearing, so it's a really cool feature. I think you should check that it works very well with the Air Pods. The next thing they should do is set up "Find My Air Pod" so that "My earbuds work the same as Find My iPhone," so if they ever lose one or both. airepods or the case, you will be able to locate it and play a sound just like you would with your iPhone, so all you have to do is go find my app on your iPhone, open it and then you will see that you should at least see the probe of its headphones right there otherwise you can add them if you go ahead and tap on them you can see you have the option to play sound or get instructions on where your air pots are located so definitely set it so you never lose your airpods and then the last thing All they need to do is simply remember what this button on the back of the case does.
There are so many airpod owners I've talked to, especially in real life, who have no idea they exist. One button on the air pods case blends in and is very flush with the back so it's hard to see sometimes, but that's how you can fix a lot of problems, that's how you can reset your air completely. pods and that will help with things like connection issues so if you can't connect your airpods for any reason this could fix it so you can fix them or if you want to connect to another device with a different Apple ID or if you wanted to connect to an Android or anything, this is how you do it, press and hold the back button for about five to ten seconds, it will put it into pairing mode and then it should show up as discoverable when you're searching.
