Adventures in Cub Scouts

Jun 02, 2021
At first I wanted to make a boy scout video because I used to go there. But then, while I was writing the script, I remembered all the fun things we did in the Boy Scouts. Here it is! Boy Scouting is something you can do before you are old enough to be a Boy Scout. You don't have to go there to join the Boy Scouts... It's only if you want to or your parents sign you up. You're too young to be a Boy Scout. That's why it's called BOY Scout and not.... BOY Scout. You can join the Boy Scouts from the age of seven.

You didn't have to do anything in your free time. And even if you met all the requirements, you had to have been in each rank for at least a year. So, those were actually ranges based on age.

More Interesting Facts About,

adventures in cub scouts...

When you were seven years old and in first grade, you were "Tiger Scouts." The second graders were the "Wolf Scouts" and the third graders were the "Bear Scouts." And the fourth graders, or the "very dense" ones because you're the oldest... ...Actually, before I tell you, just Guess what the fourth and final rank of a Boy Scout is. Just guess in the comments! No, just kidding, don't do that, I don't care. We have a tiger, a wolf and a bear (Hehehe! it rhymed.) Which animal is denser than the previous three? I'll tell you! Nothing. And that was the mascot.

There were no pets. Welcome to the real world, quarterbacks! There are no such things as anthropomorphic cartoon animals. *COUGH* So if you guessed something in the comments...you were wrong. I told you not to guess. The fourth and last row of a boy scout was called... Bulojska! But... Loj-ska. A very appropriate name... Is it tiger, wolf, bear, BULOJSKA?!? WHAT IS AN ANIMAL? It is said to be an abbreviation of "We will be loyal scouts." Because... we talk like pirates. Don't worry, boy scouts, I'll make you a mascot for... BULOJSKA(U). Here, a fancy animal for a fancy word, use it as you see fit.

Wikipedia also talks about a "wildcat" badge, but... I don't remember making one, so... beside the point. I don't even remember what we did at child scout! We just met at someone's house. Do I think she was always the mother of one of us? And she would always prepare some activities for us to do and just play. Mom told me that she was our leader for a year, but... I don't remember. BUT I remember we talked about bike safety. And I know that I fell, I fell a lot. Even so, I still have the prize. Each rank had a book where it was written what activities you would do.
And I was googling photos of the book and found the hard covers, rigid and serious. And I was surprised because the books I grew up with... ...had those pets! And I like! Those old books were CUTE and had PICTURES! You're not trying to get rid of mascots, are you boy scouts? I think it's curious that each pet has become less healthy over time. That's why my pet bulojska looks like that. And I think I could suppress this memory, but every time we rose through the ranks, there was an award ceremony held by the leaders. And I guess... metaphorically we drank... pet blood?
As if it were just fruit juice. But... *phone rings* TJ: Please? Goodbye TJ. TJ: Hi James. Do you remember the Boy Scouts? TJ: Yes. Uhm... When we rose through the ranks... Did we metaphorically drink the blood of pets? TJ: I think only our leaders did it, it was not mandatory but our leaders decided to do it. Oh. We had strange leaders. TJ: Yes, they did. Hey, take care, TJ. *beep* So another thing we did as Boy Scouts was go to day camps. I don't know if it was just us in Arizona, but I hated it. Camping Day has taken campers and made it...not fun!
And surprisingly, even as a kid I loved camping! "Really James? Someone who sits in front of a computer all day drawing Pokémon? You like to toughen up and sleep in the forest?" YEEOOOO YES! If you've never been camping, START! I'm talking about real camp, not this... day camp. The camping day was in summer. In the Arizona summer. We got up very early, around 8, had breakfast at home and then went to camp for about 2 hours. We met a lot of other teams, it was quite something. You were supposed to pack your own lunch and others ate really good lunches like Lunchables or Gougurts and ironically Subway.
I envied the kids who had Subway. And the only thing my mom made me was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich...on white bread! So before the day even starts, I'm already in a bad mood. The day starts with sitting in such a large auditorium, but it's outside. They told us to drink lots of water and gave us a bag of water balloons. And they wanted us to throw them at each other because then we would stay moist and not get sunburned. but water balloons are stupid because 99% of the time they don't even break on contact.
You just beat some innocent children to death with a water bag. Then we would simply split into sections and rotate between various activities throughout the day. We had dinner and then returned to the auditorium where the leaders were presenting a play. It was a pretty silly game, but it was based on a story. But then at 10 pm... WE CAME BACK HOME! We didn't even sleep in a tent! Sleeping in a tent is one of the most fun things about camping! And we also didn't make a single bonfire the whole time because it's dangerous to have a bonfire among children aged 7 to 10 or something like that.
But they let us shoot the bow. Because it's "safe"! And then you came back the next day and did it all again. And then the third day. Three days ! Three days of people throwing balloons and you can't throw them back because your hands are weak. And you're probably thinking, "James, why do you keep complaining? That sounds like fun!" Like... probably yeah, the other kids were probably having fun. Maybe he was being too dramatic for an eight year old. One time, on the second day of camp, he was very clumsy and kept falling off the rocks he was climbing.
And I was still scratched and it hurt a lot. And then we went swimming, another activity, there was a pool. But being the punk kid that I was, I was like, "NO! I DON'T WANT TO SWIM!" Then they told me to sit on the edge and not swim. But then I said... "I want to go swimming now." After swimming, the leaders told us to check our shoes for scorpions. And I remember I didn't review them because I hated them all. And do you remember that game the leaders played last night? It was divided into 3 parts. A part every day.
So they always left me wondering what was going to happen next, but everyone else wanted to play with the balloons. I never knew how the game ends! The next morning, when I was supposed to leave for the third day, I told my mom I didn't want to go. And she had to call them that her son doesn't want to go because he's a big bastard. And then when they gave out prizes, they didn't give me any. Because I didn't come on the third day. So I didn't complete any activities. And I haven't been to Camping Day since.
That's why I hated him. Wow, I didn't even mention the Pine Derby... I didn't even mention the PINE DERBY! So, I liked the Boy Scouts, I think it's good because it takes you outside and teaches you important safety things or something like that. See how I did it. And also, in case you missed it, I have an online store and I have plenty of things for you. One of the products I'm excited about are stuffed animals. Everything is also on sale, but only until the 14th. So you have a few days to buy. And if you buy a stuffed animal before 21.10.
You will also receive a signature. ...mine, of course, who else's, I think that should end the video right after "Fasten Your Seat Belt."
