A Day in the Life of Joe Worrall
Sep 03, 2023Good morning, it is a quarter past eight on Friday, March 26. I just have my cup of tea and some cereal ready to get in my car and go to training. Today is a bit of a difficult day because obviously we have. I'm still out of action at the moment with my broken rib but it's international weekend so we have Saturday and Sunday off so Friday is a notoriously difficult day if you have the weekend off so we'll be in the gym on the bike and doing a tough session today so this is a little introduction and I hope you enjoy the video the document is that your trophy yeah that's my darts grand prix trophy let's try Lewis One , it should have my name engraved. actually it's because he never leaves my spot i'm definitely sure who you're normally next to in the dressing room uh that's toby's peg so we thought i sang the sew um we got i think that's hankering for a butt verch and mckenna so i got the foreign side of the dressing room trying to keep them on board show them a little bit about the forest too okay okay dog three poached eggs some beans on top you're the one who's not early um yeah yeah this is in the 9. every time I don't really know what the machine is called, of course, they have proven to be fun and come in to be fair, how screwed I thought at the beginning of the season I was in this, uh, a good month, why that?
No, it takes 15 minutes to make us videos, run the chest, I want us to come guys, you are under pressure because the camera is here and you have the clubs, although this is the one I have to check, I said second and fourth. probably not that well known for playing for those teams, check chelsea yes freedom blackburn no he played in that order so you think blackbird was really wanted brad ok spurs now what then he played for chelsea villa fulham stoke, by the way, is not only very good. These were 20. I'm ready to go out and train a little bit on a different program than some of the other guys are doing because of my rib, so just a little spin on the bike for five ten minutes, loosen up my legs and then I get on. the mat has a little roll of elastic foam on it and stuff and then it does some moves just to get me going, so, yeah, watch and learn, and you're with the acid spinning your legs ready to take on people, yeah , Brent, who is a sports scientist. gym and valerie, he's very good, he organized sessions for us and, um, most of the guys, while most of the guys stick to what he is, what he's trying to do and they go out of the flashlight, they cast a look at the statistics, I know you.
Fans and interested people won't be able to see them, but with injuries and stuff, they can tell a lot of things to their producers and at the same time it's fun, whether you like the gym or not as a footballer and professional, you have to give yourself Realize that it's essential to keep yourself fit and strong, so, yeah, I don't mind, I'll spend plenty of time in the gym, it seems like it, but with the injuries I've had baby fractures and things like little suckers. I don't get many muscle injuries because I comb my hair and it helps me stay on the court, save me, he's another one who spends a lot of time here and stays in shape, it's not about who can bench press the most, it's all relative to your body weight and your position, so I think we're like Yates, he just said Alex could and maybe it's just a little bit, but he's incredibly strong and can jump. he's explosive and he's another one who's here all the time working on parts of this game so it's time to train as you can see he's absolutely shooting all the time so I'm going to go out now and play a little game with the tech ball.
You'll see in a minute, AC and I always have a game before training. Today I'm only partially training because I'm still recovering from my injury and then I'll go to Devo, the physiotherapist. doing a little extra work so we can get an idea of what we do on a day to day basis. Yes, it is good to open it by pressing Yes. What are the key elements that we should include after training our nutrition guys? got the food groups and what you should look at, protein, carbohydrates and protective groups, vitamins, minerals and things like that, obviously the salad bar was very aware of the kitchen staff staff, they put some good stuff in there, very good , 21.99, so Joe, we know Kovitz.
It's obviously had a massive impact overall and it's affected everyone, how as a team, team and club you've adapted to being covered in and around the training pitch. It has been difficult, I can imagine it as for many other companies and, obviously, football clubs. During this pandemic, but because of afl um and fa regulations and things, we get tested three times a week and a lot of the general public wears masks when they're in the building and things like that. but there are also times when we're physically because we're working out and um in the gym outside you can't, you can't wear your mask, you can't socially distance, so the club has been fantastic, handsome everywhere, um temperature checks At The Door, social distancing is huge at the club, I think the physios and doctors upstairs have been instilling that in us since the last year, and I think it's because, as a group, team and club, the staff and the players , we have all stuck to the guidelines and rules, inside and outside the building, I think that has been key for us to be able to function as well as we have, but yes, it has been difficult.
I suppose for all the clubs it has been harder for the general public than losing some fans, but at the end of the day, football is nothing without the fans and we hope to see the Forest fans. traveling away and at home um but yeah it shouldn't be too long maybe the start of next season but also the support on social media although it's been a tough season for us I think I'd like to thank everyone . um not just me on behalf of the guys too, I think you've stuck with us this season through some tough times and um I know it's been a lot harder in general
life
for people, but I think in terms of support , even though we have been below par at times this season, I think we are very grateful for that and we hope to see you soon on the city field, another day to train, time to go home now and rest and recover. and let's face it, there's not much we can do.I can't go to the store or go out for coffee with my friends, so I'll go home, get up and maybe play a little. PlayStation or something like that, but I hope you enjoyed watching a day in the
life
of uh me and yeah, I hope it gives you an idea of what we do and how we operate and what it entails to be a professional footballer so thank you. open me in itIf you have any copyright issue, please Contact
