7 Signs You're Going To Be SuccessfulJun 10, 2021
signsthat you are
goingto succeed. What are the chances of you getting it? How likely are you to succeed? After interviewing hundreds and meeting with hundreds of CEOs, athletes, celebrities, some of the most
successfulpeople in the world, I asked myself the question, what makes success
successful? I have always been fascinated by the mentality of the super successful, their discipline, their focus, their determination in the face of difficulties. What makes them different? These are not theories. These are
signs. Let's see how many of these signs you have. Comment below. Signature number one. Successful people have good habits.
People who are not successful have bad habits, habits like smoking, drinking, taking drugs, watching too much television. You see, successful people are where they are today because of their habits. Habits determine 95% of a person's behavior. Everything you are today, everything you will achieve in the future, is determined by the quality of the habits you form. What I have discovered is that the best people have the best habits. You see, successful people are simply those with successful habits. Successful habits can be getting up in the morning, meditating, reading, exercising regularly. How many of these habits do you have?
Number two sign. Successful people are incredibly driven. How motivated are you? Now, I'm not talking about you being a nightmare to work for or harassing other people. I'm talking about you working hard to get results. It is your personal impulses that turn your ideas into actions into results. It's your personal drive that keeps you
goingwhen the going gets tough. It is your personal impulses that allow you to recover from disappointment, from the setback. So how motivated are you? Or are you lazy? Do you procrastinate? Do you procrastinate? You see, for the first five years of my career, I didn't take a single day off.
I worked 10, 12, 14 hours every day for five years straight. Why? Because I was driven. I was driven to support my family. I was driven to prove other people wrong. And today I am driven by my mission. How motivated are you? Number three sign. Successful people are confident in their abilities. You see, the two biggest enemies of success, number one, doubt, and number two, fear of the unknown. We wrestle with doubt. We worry, are we prepared for this? Are we good enough? Do we really have what it takes to succeed? Confidence is nothing more than believing in yourself, and believing in yourself is nothing more than doing the things you didn't think you could do before.
You see, confidence comes from competence. It's easy to believe in yourself when everyone believes in you. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about believing in yourself when you're not ready, believing in yourself when no one believes you, believing in yourself when everyone doubts you, that you can't do it, that you can't make it, that you don't have what it takes There it is. when you need to develop that unshakable confidence in yourself, that belief that you can do it. And confidence is not the same as arrogance. You see, arrogance is thinking that you are above everyone else.
Confidence is knowing that no one is above you. Do you feel confident enough in your own abilities to do whatever it takes? Are you willing to bet on yourself? Not just words, but action, how often do you invest in yourself. Are you willing to risk everything you have for your goals and your dreams? Do you bet on yourself? Or do you procrastinate? Doubts? Are you a perfectionist? Do you suffer from analysis paralysis? You may have the best ideas and the brightest ideas in the world, but if you can't articulate those ideas, if you don't know how to communicate those ideas to other people, you're not going anywhere.
And communication skills come in many forms. I mean writing your email, or writing your social media posts, or running that meeting, or speaking one-on-one, speaking on the phone, speaking to a prospect, or even speaking to large groups of people. All of that falls under communication skills. One of the life-changing things I did early in my career is joining Toastmasters to hone and develop my public speaking skills. I was also learning from a mentor to develop my writing skill, which is communication in written forms, how to use print words to persuade and influence someone. So all successful people have one thing in common, the ability to influence, persuade and inspire other people.
Number five sign. They have a growth mindset. Mark Cuban reads three hours a day. Bill Gates reads at least an hour a day. I read two to three books a week. For years now, I keep constantly learning all the time. And I don't mean just reading a book. It could be listening to a podcast, talking to other successful people, getting guidance from your mentors. But successful people are always learning and growing, and we never stop. Once I was inviting a very successful person to lunch. It has been very successful for so many years. It is in a space of mergers and acquisitions.
He has had multiple successful outings, for which various ventures, at a very young age. When we sat down and sat across from each other, and when we ate, the first thing he did was take out a journal and take notes, and he started asking me questions, learning. I was the one who wanted to learn from him, but it becomes a learning session, that he is learning from me. I will never forget it, because you see, the more you know, the more you realize that you don't know. The less you know, the more you think you know.
Number six sign. Successful people accept failure. Do you accept failures? Or do you take failure personally? You see, successful people are ridiculously positive about their future. They always talk positively about their future, where things are going, like it's already happened, even though there's no way it could happen. They believe in themselves. They have positive expectations about their future. Walt Disney was fired by news editors saying that he had no imagination or creativity. Steven Spielberg was rejected three times by film school before I got the big break from him. Colonel Sanders, at the age of 56, was rejected a thousand times for his recipe before a restaurant picked it up.
You will notice that the most successful people in any field are usually the ones who have failed the most. You see, the difference between a successful person and everyone else is not a lack of strength, it's not a lack of knowledge. It is lack of will. Winston Churchill said it best: "Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm." Let's take sales and closing as an example. The most successful salespeople, the highest paid successful closers in the world, guess what. They are the ones who experience rejection on a day-to-day basis more than anyone, and that is what makes them successful.
Success is on the razor's edge of failure. Number seven sign. They have a high EQ. Not IQ, but EQ. the smartest people in the world, but they surround themselves with smart people. They may not be the best students in the world, but they still demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence. You see, when it comes to success, EQ eats IQ for breakfast. Now, IQ, it's mostly genetic, what you're born with. However, EQ can be developed, learned, and refined. Successful people have a high degree of emotional intelligence, which means they don't cave under pressure. They keep calm.
They know how to deal with their braid. They know how to deal with anxiety, even when things don't go their way. Successful people are also very self-aware, which means they know what they are good at, what they are not good at, what their strengths are, and what their weaknesses are. They know how to manage their emotions. They refuse to feel inadequate, resentful, disappointed when failure hits. So how many of these signs do you have? How likely are you to succeed? If you have some of these signs, congratulations. The chances of you being successful are quite high.
If you have all of these signs, then the chances of you being successful are very, very high.
