Hey guys, welcome back to the channel, today we're looking at five of my
guitarsfor under a thousand dollars, so it should be a lot of fun if you missed my previous video. I made five of my
guitarsof all time, so they're a little more high-end, but if you missed that video, I'll link it above, let's jump in and see my picks for my favorite guitars under a thousand dollars, well, no Get us here with my five best guitars for under a thousand dollars, I'll link it. to each of them in the video description below if you want all the information here we go so the first guitar on my list is the apophone 1959 les paul standard so why is this guitar in my top five best guitars for less than a thousand dollars?
Well, let's take a Listen, so what exactly makes this guitar so special? It's a collaboration between Gibson's Custom Shop and Apophone, meaning Epiphone got the full blessing to make a true reissue guitar and you get some incredibly high-spec components. Pickups Gibson USA Switchcraft Switch cts Pots Switchcraft Jack output and of course mahogany body, maple top, mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, all the things you would expect from a vintage style Les Paul, all for about $800 , which is pretty good. Here you get the Epiphone limited edition. A nice little article on collaboration. between the custom shop and epiphone and you know I've had this guitar for a few months and it just keeps getting better and better.
You get kind of a thicker '50s/late '50s-style neck long tenon joint, so they've thought of everything and This guitar just represents a great value for someone who wants a vintage-spec Les Paul, but without breaking the bank. Lots of money, okay, pick number two for my favorite guitars under a thousand dollars. Yes, PRS SE Paul's guitar, let's listen to this now. The entire prsse line is very good, but here are two of my favorites. I like the Custom 24 and you guys have seen a core model and a SC model on the channel. Great guitars too, but here are two of my favorites.
To go with Paul's guitar with a shout out to the hollow body 2. This is the piezo version which is more expensive but the basic hollow body is a thousand dollars and they are fantastic guitars but yeah let's focus on what makes Paul's guitar Paul guitar is so special, so why did I choose Se Paul guitar? In my experience, it sums up a great experience without spending a lot of money on a core model and that's why I also like that Epiphone that gives you a Gibson. experience, uh, without the big freebies and the money, same kind of thing here, you get some very high-end premium components in this guitar, uh, the center model bridge with big brass posts and each string sits on a column of brass that you know very, that you know high. -End and single bridge.
All of Paul's guitars I've seen have incredibly beautiful tops, they have coil splits that don't lose volume when you go from humbucker to single coil, which you know has some special electronics in this one. model and it's really well built and I have to say aesthetically the top as I mentioned, but the birds are also so reflective, so colorful, a beautiful beautiful guitar, so I think this is one of the best models to give you. that prs experience without spending a lot of money, well here is my third pick for my favorite guitars under a thousand dollars.
It's the schechter solo 2 custom, one of my all time favorite guitars in this price range, let's hear it, so why do I love the solo 2? The customization is so good that it all comes down to the value offered to the consumer and when it comes to guitars in that $700 to $1,000 range, Schecter has so many great options. I love the pt pro. I love the c1s, uh, but the solo 2 is one. It's one of my all-time favorites, for sure, and it all comes down to you knowing the features and the tone, their pickups made in the USA, you've got coil splits here, really high quality, they build all kinds of contours on the neck joint which makes the playability a little easier to compensate, no tuner locking, you know it all for under a grand, just a great value and in terms of aesthetics I'm a fan All in all, it's classy enough to play jazz, metal enough to play metal, and all the styles in between.
So I love the satin finish. I love the gold hardware. I love the aged binding. All in a package that sounds great and under a thousand dollars. Okay, here's pick number four. Now this guitar really blew me away. I had never touched a Charvel before in my life. I didn't know what to expect and this guitar is absolutely amazing let's hear more so yeah I had no idea what to expect when I picked up the Charvel but it absolutely blew me away it's the perfect modern T style guitar uh on almost locking tuners in every way of course, roasted maple neck, multi-voiced Fishman fluence pickups, splittable pickups, you know, it goes on and on, so very high-end specs, all in a very contoured package, 24 frets, slim neck , very fast, exquisite, you know, works with frets, everything about it.
The guitar definitely impressed me, so I know that Charvel gives you multiple options again in that 700 to 1,000 dollar range and if you know of any that are as good as this guitar, I think it would be a safe purchase, so I'm very impressed. these chevelles, so that's my number four pick, well here we are you, my last pick for the five best guitars under a thousand dollars, as I mentioned, many other brands or models could have been mentioned, but here we go, my Last choice is the Yamaha Pacifica 612. So why did the Pacifica 612 make it to number one on the list again?
Value for consumers: $650. It's much less than a thousand dollars. It's a hundred dollars cheaper than a Fender Player series and surpasses it in every way. The Player series are fantastic guitars, but. you know, when you compare it to the pacifica, there's no competition, you've got Grover locking tuners here, Graphtec nut, you know, great build quality, Yamaha's been doing this for decades, flamed maple top, Seymour Duncan pickups, split humbucker at the rear, Wilkinson tram with a fixing screw. so the bar will stay exactly where you want it, you can float it and cover it however it's just a very, very high spec guitar, all for $650, making it one of the best values of the whole bunch, so There you have it, that's why I made my list a great sounding guitar with those cool Seymour Duncan picks, you know, some of the best hardware in the price range that makes this a no-brainer, so those are my five favorite guitars for less than a thousand dollars.
