5 HUGE C7 CORVETTE changes you HAVE to make!! It will look AND function WAY better!!

Jun 05, 2021
good afternoon everyone, welcome back to the channel, today we

will

go over a list of five things that are cheap or free that you can change on your

corvette

c7 to

make

it

look

and work much

better

, and these things here do not

look

or work

better

, so everything on this list is really free except for one thing and that

will

be the black lug nuts so this is a two part situation depending on the year of your car, 2015 and 16. It came with a center cap here that had a ring chrome and the flag was outlined in chrome.

I changed it and added black lug nuts in my opinion, that's one of the things that has changed the look of this car tremendously so that the center cap just took that out and put a black ring on it, made it look a hundred times better than later I put the black nuts on and it somehow made it look even better, just kidding, but it made it look so much better now. I said everything else on the list, other than those lug nuts and those center caps, will be free. The nuts were actually made by a company called mcgard and they

make

very high quality stuff so basically what makes them high quality is the fact. that they won't rust, the coating is applied in a different way than just painted, it's basically electrostatic, whatever that is, blah blah blah.

More Interesting Facts About,

5 huge c7 corvette changes you have to make it will look and function way better...

I'll link it in the description below, but honestly, they are very quality things that I've had them in and they've been taken out of there probably three or four times and every time I look at them it still doesn't look like anything has happened. They don't look like they

have

ever been tightened or removed. There are no scratches or scuff marks. No paint. It's coming off or something, so it's high quality stuff. The center cap here is obviously straight from GM. It is an OEM part. I will link the product number in the description below if you

have

a 15 or 16 and this one had the chrome. piece on it, feel free to check it out, especially with the black wheels this flows much better, obviously if you have chrome rims or even silver rims you don't want to use black lug nuts or the black center cap so this is actually just applies to people with black rims, but as you can see, I mean, it looks much better with everything blacked out since the wheel is black, especially with that red caliper behind it, it looks fantastic now, next piece of information like I said, the rest of them are free, they will be the headlights now, the original Corvette headlights look really very menacing, they look fantastic, but at night, at least not from the factory, they don't really spread the light.

Ultimately, what we're going to do here is adjust these headlights to be a little bit brighter so that they project the light further in front of you. For me, this was a big deal because the first day I bought the car. The light output was excellent, it just didn't seem like it projected enough. I came in here and adjusted them and now they're perfect, so I'll show you how to do it once we get under the hood, you can come. down here and you'll see these black plastic pieces that just come from down here and they're on both sides so they just hold there with some clips and if we grab them and pull them you're actually going to release them. and here you'll see that's where the actual headlight adjustments are made, so they're literally there to cover the headlight adjustments, so you don't just see two nasty holes sticking out of the engine bay, it's this elongated hole right here where You'll want to go in with an Allen wrench and you can see it right there, so basically you would put an Allen wrench in there and turn it in one direction, of course, we'll point the headlights down and the other direction.

I pointed the headlights up, I only had to turn them about three full turns and the headlights were perfect. The best way to do this is to park in front of a garage door somewhere where it is perfectly level and turn on your headlights, then get in and start turning. that bolt and see where the headlights go, move them up slightly and see how it looks at night, if you want it more just repeat the process, obviously the passenger side is exactly the same so obviously I want to level both headlights . you're going to do that side as well and then once you're done just put this piece of plastic back in there and that's it now the last three things are going to be done inside the car everything we're doing today in the car you're going to need it to be in accessory mode, so start the car and keep it running or press and hold the start button for 10 seconds, everything turns on just as it would if the car was running for the third time.
What we're going to talk about today will, of course, be the dual-mode exhaust. One of the first things I did with this car as soon as I bought it was go into the settings here and set it so that the exhaust was in tracking mode all the time, regardless of what actual mode it was in most of the time. I drive the car, I have it in sport mode, but I want that exhaust note to be constantly on the track because I like a loud exhaust and honestly the exhaust sounds fantastic. I don't know why you would want to muffle it or disconcert it sometimes, I suppose it could get it if your neighbors are asleep and you come home very late, but for me my exhaust is basically original and I don't really have neighbors who worry too much about it, so this is on the right track all the time.
For those of you who don't know how to do it, we'll go to settings and then we'll go to driving mode. Engine sound management. and this is where we would basically change it so you can set it to auto which of course will just mimic whatever mode your car is actually in stealth which closes the deflectors and makes it as quiet as possible and it's also almost as quiet as possible The sport is somewhere between the two and the track is the loudest as you can see I already have a check mark there with the track but you can select any of these at any time if it's up to me, I would tell you to select that track. one and never return to this menu.
The fourth thing on this list will also of course be in the car setup, it's for people who have a 2lz or 3lz with the auto seat setup, so ultimately what it's going to do is when you press the button When you exit the seat or when you turn off the car and open the door, your steering wheel will go back up to the top position as much as possible and your seat will move as far back as possible, basically making it easier for you to get in and out of the car. once he gets back inside, he closes the door and presses the start button.
You will return to your favorite driving position. This was a fantastic feature. I loved. It's definitely something you need for a car that sits low like this and makes it more convenient, but when I first bought it it didn't work for some reason, every time I pressed the button here to go to my favorite position, the steering wheel It went down just a little bit. A little bit and that was it, the seat wouldn't move, nothing else was happening and after playing with it for a while I realized we had to do something specific to get it working again so we could enter the vehicle configuration. in comfort and convenience and in automatic memory recall, go in there, turn it off, come back also turn off the easy exit options with both turned off, then you will come here, move the seat and steering wheel to where you want them. to be as well as the side mirrors once you have everything set up the way you want press set and then hold down the number one which will set your favorite driving position.
You would then move the seat all the way back and the steering wheel up and in. all the way and then you'll press set and then the exit option, which is the one on the far right, once you do that, you can come back here, go back to automatic memory recovery, make sure it's on with power on If this is how you want it and also the easy exit options are activated, then your seat and steering wheel will work perfectly as they are supposed to now, the fifth thing and as far as I know, it is one of the most important. worried because the car has a push button start, that means you never have to take your keys out of your pocket and that includes when you get out of the car and want to lock it, so one of my favorite features was again in the settings, entering the vehicle under the power door locks, first making sure the automatic door locking was set to unlock at least the driver's door or all doors and then also moving down to remote unlocking and starting passive door locking. on and then you're good to go so basically what's going to happen from here is every time I get out of the car I close the door and walk away once this car no longer detects the remote it automatically locks the doors.
The next time I approach the car, all I have to do is put my fingers on the door handle and it will unlock. The key literally never has to leave my pocket. This is a really great feature and with any car that has a push button start this should definitely be something that's enabled, finally I'm going to show you the auto lock feature so if you have the keys and the windows really have to be open, close the door and with the keys here. We can see that the car locks visually without me pressing any of the buttons.
There it is, so now the car is locked and I didn't have to press anything on this key, it could have been in my pocket all the time and then whenever I wanted. to get back in the car and get in I don't need the keys again just press the button here and it will automatically unlock and open it guys that will do it for today's video if you liked what you saw let me know.
