Feb 20, 2020
Hello guys and welcome back to my channel, so today I want to share with you the 5 dollar Valentine's tree DIYs. I had so much fun making these DIYs and I can't wait to share them with you. If you are interested, stay tuned and keep watching. Get started, so for the first DIY I'm going to make a two tier tray. I'm going to grab a cake pan, a cake pan that you can get at Dollar Tree. I'll also need some black Waverly chalk paint, this one is in the colored ink and then some

white

spray paint. What I did with these molds was I originally painted them black and then I spray painted them with a coat of

white

and now what I'm going to do is take this. sanding block and I'm just going to distress it and you can distress it as much as you want, even if it's a little bit, but I really wanted that black to shine and I also wanted it to have some of that shine in some spots. from the original pan, as you can see here, this is the distress of the pan.

I really

love

how that part over there shines with that tin and that's how they turned out again, you can wear it down as little or as much as you want. I would like you to want to make sure that the larger container will be on the bottom and the smaller container will be on the top. I'll also use these candle holders that you can get at Dollar Tree and I'll need this candle too. with these candle holders I'm going to put the biggest one or the tallest one because there are two different sizes I'm going to put the tallest one on the bottom and you can use hot glue or a6000 along with hot glue or jesse's 6 -mil I'm using hot glue alone for video purposes, but basically I'm just going to try to leave that dead candlestick in the middle and then place the other can on top of that now with this candlestick.

I decided to try to get it as straight as possible, what I'm going to do is I'm basically going to put that candlestick in there and then I'm going to rotate it and look at it from all angles to make sure it's in the center and then I just used a pencil and traced the circle very lightly over the pan, then I'm going to hot glue my candle holder to the pan and you want to make sure that the bottom part of the candle holder is the one that sticks to the pan and the top part is like this because you're going to take this candle lid and the you'll place on top and just to give it that kind of handle and to make it really cute, I thought this was really fun.

Valentine's Day I really

love

d how it turned out and I really loved how it has that apothecary filling on the top of the tray. I am super in love with this tray, this two-tier tray. I'm very excited with how it turned out, very fun. very cute, so the next DIY is so easy that you will only need these vases that you can get at Dollar Tree. I love how they have the red and white hearts, so you'll just need these LED candles. Just place them inside the vases and I love how the red in that white candle stands out.

I think it's super pretty now with my love base. I'm going to put it on top of this white chandelier and you guys just spray painted it. With this $0.98 white spray paint that you can get at Walmart, you can use any white paint you want, so I'm basically going to hot glue that base to the top of my chandelier and I love how it looks. I think it's very cute, perfect. for Valentine's Day you can leave the other vase with no height but I decided to add more heights to the other vase so I'm going to grab two more candle holders from the Dollar Tree and spray paint them white and then just stack them on top of each other using hot glue, make sure you line them up and then you just want to place that base on top and I think this looks really fun, very Valentine's Day.
I love how it turned out. I really am. I like red and white. I think it's very classic, very nice for Valentine's Day. For the next DIY, you'll simply grab these two mirror frames or framed mirrors from the Dollar Tree and you'll also need these gift bags. I'm just going to use the white gift bag with the red hearts and save that other gift bag for later DIY and then you'll need these little heart wall hangings that you can get in the Valentine's section. at Dollar Tree I love all the cute hearts. You have so many options.
I love them. They are so cute. Basically, what we're going to do is take our gift bag and trace a part of the gift bag to place the mirror inside that frame. I found the easiest way to do it is to just cut the bag lengthwise and then place it inside the frame and then use my finger to trace the edge of the bag and then cut it out and now you can modify this, you can glue it however you want. I like this glue stick, I use it all the time. I love this Elmer's glue stick, it works great for many of my projects.
Basically, I'm going to stick it to the mirror as my little background and I'm going to do that on both of my frames. Now what you want to do is take these cute little hearts and figure out which hearts. you want to be added, which is really hard because all of those hearts are so cute, so it took me a while to figure out which ones I wanted to show off in my crafts. There are so many different options. I love the one that says xoxo and me. I also love the heart that says "be mine" so it was a very difficult choice but in the end I decided to use the xoxo heart, the xox heart and then also a heart that looked like that but didn't have the XO so these are the two that I chose and now I'm just going to hot glue them to the frame, they won't fit inside the frame, they'll just sit softly on top of the frame and you'll want to heat them up. stick them like this.
I like it because it gives it depth and I think it is a very nice way to display these hearts in addition to hanging them on the wall. I love these frames from Dollar Tree they are so perfect for Valentine's Day and this is how they turned out guys I think they are super cute so for this DIY what we are going to do is make some things where you can show your photos. I guess you could say "you guys." You're only going to need four of these sparkly hearts from the Dollar Tree. You'll need some clothespins, some crimson red Waverly chalk paint, and then any pictures you'd like to hang on the wall, so I'm just going to cut out the tags.
Out of here and basically what we're going to do is join these three hearts together using the little threads that they come with or the ribbon that they come with, so I'm going to take that ribbon and I'm going to attach it to the top heart using hot glue and then I'll do the same thing for the last heart, so I'll take that little ribbon and I'll hot glue it to that heart. and this is what these three hearts should look like they should be attached now what we're going to do is take our clothespins and we're going to paint them with Waverly chalk paint and then we're going to attach them to the center of the heart using hot glue and now you're going to want Do this with all three hearts depending on how many people you have in your family.
I have three children but I only had three hearts, so unfortunately I will have them. I'll probably go back and add another heart to this project so I can have a picture of my three kids plus the family, so you can just use two hearts, three hearts for hearts and then you'll just attach the pictures to the clothespin and there you have it guys I love this I think it looks so cute I love how it turned out I think it's a really cute way to display pictures around Valentine's Day just to show the people in your family that you love them and add that touch to it extra. for Valentine's Day I had a lot of fun making this and my kids loved it so for the next DIY we are going to make a cute little Valentine's Day

banner

.
What you're going to need is two of these love every moment garden flags from Dollar Tree and then also this white one that says follow your heart so you're going to need two red ones and one white one and we're basically going to start taking these flags apart. I'm going to cut the jute off the top and then I'm going to take this out of the flag and then I'm going to save it so I can need it later for another project in the future, so I never throw anything away. You never know what you might use later, so now what I'm going to do.
What you want to do is just cut the bottom of these flags so that you're left with a triangle shape and you'll want to set that aside and now you'll have this square piece with the square piece. you're going to want to find the middle and then you're going to want to cut down the middle and once you've cut completely down the middle, what you want to do is cut out some of those missing pieces or those frayed pieces and then you're going to take your pieces and you're going to find the seam. and you're going to cut the seams.
You don't want to cut the top seam but you do want to cut the side seams and We'll be left with a seam on each piece and hopefully that will make sense, but you can see what I'm doing here now, you're left with this rectangular shaped rectangular fabric that doesn't It has seams except the top. part where you're going to hang it so this is what you should have and you're going to do that with all your flags so when you're done you should have four white pieces and then two red pieces and then now we're going to take it and fold it all the way to the bottom of the top seam, we'll find the knot in the middle, but we'll find the middle, I guess you could say, and then we'll cut it. that, then you're going to want to cut it into a square and that's what it should look like, so now you're going to fold it in half and wedge it in a little bit to give it that

banner

look. and you're going to do that with all your pieces again, you're just going to take the bottom, fold it up and then cut it into a square and save those pieces that you never know if you'll use them or if you'll use them.
Now you're just going to dive again, say it and there you have it. I'm going to do that with all my pieces and this is what we should have, so what we're going to do now is just take a safety. pin I'm using this jute twine from Dollar Tree. I'm going to run the thread through the top of all my little banner pieces. This is much easier if you have a safety pin, you can use a needle. I find those safety pins are a lot easier if you need to thread thread through anything this is the method I prefer and it worked great so once you have all those pieces there this is what it should look like and now what I'm going to do What to do is I'm going to take these sparkly foam hearts and I'm going to need two of the red ones and I'm just going to glue these red hearts to the white pieces of the banner on each end and this is what it should look like.
I'm going to do that with my two white pieces again, I just hot glue that bright red foam heart and it fits perfectly, it's so cute. I love how it looks. Now we're just going to grab these templates from Dollar Tree. These are by jot. and they will be able to spell any word so they can make this sign as big or as small as they want. they could put xoxo. They could put love. They could put it as mine if they wanted. I decided to put love like this. I'm going to place these stencils on top of my little pieces of fabric and then I'm going to use some Waverly chalk paint and a foam brush from the Dollar Tree and paint the inside of these letters white. and this worked very well.
They could use any white paint. I only had white chalk paint so that's what I used and that's how it turned out. I love this cute poster. He is so cute. I'm very happy. With the result of this, now what I'm going to do is take the ends of my jute twine and I'm just going to tie a little bow so that it will be easier to hang. Look, here's my little loop and now it's time to hang your banner and this is how it looked. I'm super obsessed with this. I love it. I couldn't be more pleased with the result.
It looks so cute hanging on my shelf. the kitchen is a perfect piece for Valentine's Day, so there you have it. Five dollar tree. DIY Valentine's Day, all very easy, very economical and very fun to do.
