300 Days of Project Zomboid - The Movie

Mar 17, 2024
When I started this journey I thought it would be a fun challenge to try to rebuild a functional society in a world overrun by zombies, since we are not in my favor, since I started out underweight, out of condition and with a broken leg, but with a bit. of luck, solid equipment and thousands of rounds of ammunition. I was able to claim the Wasteland. Welcome to 300 Days of Zomboid, the

movie

. At the beginning of the first day, I woke up with only three things: my underwear, the splint on my leg and my go-getter attitude. I began my journey by first limping to the kitchen to get food and water and, despite not having pockets, I was able to save some cans of food assuming he would soon find a can opener.

I was wrong while still In the kitchen I was lucky enough to find my first weapon after getting some food and a gun. I began searching the rest of the house for other useful items, one of which was the Electricity for Dummies book, which I decided to enjoy before taking a walk. Outside shortly after leaving the house I was greeted by the first zombie in the neighborhood, a lone Wanderer, it was something I desperately needed clothing so I showed off my baking skills and equipped myself a few steps later and found a zombie holding a canvas bag.

This is probably one of the best starts I've had at

project

ing a zombie. You know, despite the broken leg with my new bag, I started limping towards another house nearby and saw a single zombie knocking on the window, so I went to get rid of him when oh no, no, no, no, no, no No, I knew I could handle some zombies if they came in a row, but as soon as all these others showed up, I knew I had to run, luckily despite having a broken leg. I could still jump short fences, so I jumped a few fences and headed into the woods and once again went back to look for a can opener.

This search continued for a while. I went from house to house looking for magazines and beginner books, but fortunately there is no can opener, however, in my search I found a crowbar and with the new weapon I had new confidence in being able to dispatch the undead. Unfortunately, at the end of the first day I still couldn't find my can opener, but yeah. I was able to find a source of food in bags instead of canned and thus was finally able to get a short term victory, but one that would see us through until the second day.

When I woke up the next morning, it was pretty early, so instead of fumbling around. In the dark I decided to use this time to read some of those books I found on the first day. It was actually also the first time I took a look at my skills menu to witness the severity of my decisions during character creation. My fitness level was about even and this was going to be something I would have to work on for the rest of the game. Despite realizing it, I once again had to look at the task at hand, which was to find a can opener, so I walked towards the neighboring house. and once again I was disappointed in the preparation of these owners when leaving that house.
I met my first Survivor Steven. He had some skepticism about recruiting survivors from the beginning. I didn't want them to take out zombies when I couldn't handle them. but with a zero Fitness level and a broken leg I feel like Steven will probably help more than hurt oh Stephen no, we can't fight that many zombies oh, they're coming right at us yeah, I'd be scared too, okay? Lead those guys over there, I'll take on these two, oh my God, this guy is a giga Chad with that bat. I was starting to feel pretty good about my situation now with my brain and Steven's bronze, we took the fight straight to the uh oh. no, no, oh, just a scratch, Stephen, okay, maybe I was overconfident, but I found Steven, this beret, moving on.
We sent a few more zombies to the local area and then decided to go to the supermarket and live every kid's dream. we had chips, soda and candy for lunch, after that we headed to the department store next door, cleaned out some zombies, found a duffel bag on the side of the road with a bunch of useful things and got new clothes after all the looting that Stephen and I had finished, the sun began to set and then we returned to one of the houses we had already ransacked and liked best friends. It turned out to be Stephen and I slept in bunk beds.
The next morning was fairly uneventful. Stephen and me. I checked some cars for gas but no such luck, we looted the local bar, fought some more zombies but without a proper base we were running out of inventory space quickly, it looked like the third day was going to be a wash, until we met Matthew with Matthew on board, our duo was now a trio and our chances of survival increased even further since we went to bed quite early on the third day thanks to our visit to the local tavern, we also woke up very early. and not only was it dark but it was also raining despite the storm, we continued to sweep the neighborhood and it finally happened that we found our can opener, so next on the list was finding a car that would work, which again was going to be something a bit further. tougher than I had originally anticipated, we went to the local gas station to clear it out and met up with our third Survivor Jake, we now had a proper squad, we then fought some Zeds outside the police station, the station had a lot of good stuff for us, but I felt like we weren't really ready to make noise, so to speak, so we just put on some armor and would come back for the rest later, on day five, we were checking vehicles and unfortunately we stumbled upon a gas can, without However, I didn't realize that I couldn't use it to pump gas until we hooked up a generator and we had already pumped gas from a car to start the generator.
With that in mind, I started looking for fuel and since I was checking cars anyway, I decided to level as well. Improving my mechanical skills, everything was going great until damn Tyler showed up with his dead Entourage Von, we managed to take out the zombies, but for the ambush, Tyler wasn't allowed to hang out with us at the end of day five, no we could. We found gas, but we leveled up on the mechanics, so it was a win. Day six started like any other day, we worked on the mechanics a bit and then decided to go look at a nearby house, but we couldn't figure out how many.
The zombies would be there waiting, we did the best we could, but during The Fray we got separated and Jake got bitten. Jake helped us clean up the rest of the area. We even found a car that had some gas in it. We extracted what little it had and then took it. Having an argument Jake was a danger to all of us and we had to go our separate ways. Jake got angry at this and started attacking us, we had to defend ourselves and now a man we once called a friend was lying lifeless on the ground, our hearts were heavy. but our gas cans were full so we continued with the mission we needed to find a generator while searching we found a car that was in pretty good condition but even better than that it also had a key at the end of day six and with After the discovery of key, we now had two goals: find a generator and find a battery with some charge at the beginning of day 7.
I was inspired by some gym equipment I found in a garage, so I decided to start doing some squats and, to be Honest, I probably should have started doing this the first day after my morning workout. We headed back to the parking lot where Tyler ambushed us and worked on my mechanics some more. Then I decided to unload some of my cargo into that car I found earlier and it hit me. that my duffel bag on the road actually had a car battery charger, so check the gas, check the battery now all we had to do was find the generator, we looked at some nearby houses and made a new friend, Lorna, we spent the rest of the day looking for a generator. but unfortunately at the end of day A7 we couldn't find one on day 8.
I got up early and started exercising. Today's task, just like yesterday, was to look for a generator, but unlike yesterday, today I actually found one and in the process I found another friend, I found the generator, we put all other plans in motion, we hooked up the generator At home, we charged the car battery, we had to leave Lorna on guard because we only had four seats in the car. but then we took the working vehicle to the gas station, filled the car and two gas cans full of fuel and finally drove to the park in the Gated Community where I had always planned to build our Colony, when we arrived at the park there was already a group of survivors fighting some zombies, so we invite you to join us increasing our number to eight.
All in all, today was a good day. Day nine started with me leading an early morning exercise class in my room before heading to the park to start assigning work for now I just wanted everyone to be on guard except Stephen and Matthew of course those guys were my trip o die. I was setting up my work zones when this guy, Gillian, showed up with a horde behind him shooting with his rifle. letting literally the entire neighborhood of zombies know where we were, luckily we had a full team so it wasn't that bad getting rid of them, but that was a real Tyler move.
Gillian, just Stephen Matthew and I spent the rest of the day dismantling furniture. In order to get enough materials to cover this entrance while Martin removed the zombie corpses from the base area on the morning of the 10th, it was time to do some squats. I then met up with Gillian again and despite his unfortunate entrance yesterday I thought his rifle might come in handy later so I invited him into the clan with Gillian now and Tow Matthew Stephen and I went to clear out any extra zombies that might be around. lurking near our settlement and in the process we met Sam and Dean, having six people with me would also draw a lot of attention, so I decided to leave everyone at the base with Steven in charge and took Matthew with me on a mission to pick up Lorna, However, plans changed very quickly once we heard the panicked helicopter, Matthew and I booked it for a farm a decent distance away.
Far away from our base we were hoping to get the zombies away from each other at The Farmhouse, we met Claire, we didn't really need more people at the moment but at the moment it was just me, Matthew and Claire we had something we needed. ax on the 11th we took Claire back to the base and introduced her to everyone and put her to work chopping down trees in the park while I grabbed Matthew and Gillian and we loaded up in the car to head to a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. We were able to find tools, boxes of nails and seeds, everything we needed to start building our new house.
I had several long trips during the day, so I spent most of the day driving all over the city. On the 12th I began my usual training and then spent the entire day sawing logs and laying the foundation for our first building. I kept trying to fix this grass sticking out here but nothing worked much to my annoyance. This small patch of grass also survived 100

days

in the Zomboid

project

. I think at this point we can just Guess my morning routine involves doing squats, it's the 13th and time to do some more work on our first building, but first on my way I saw this guy named Benjamin who was fully kitted out in outfit military and I thought why not, once again I spent the One day I sawed logs gathered by my friends and started working on the walls of our base.
I finished the brick walls and then I realized that if I didn't want to just have a box of bricks, I wanted to do something different with the front, so I decided. To add glass walls to the front, on the 14th I worked to finish the front of the building by adding glass doors and a concrete walkway to the front. I had suffered some damage from being overloaded, so I took a look at my health menu and realized that today marked two weeks that my leg had been in a splint and seemed to be walking fine, so I decided to take a chance and remove the splint. to see what would happen and it turns out it was fine.
The next step was the roof, but I realized that I was not yet level enough in carpentry to build stairs, luckily after cutting all those logs I was pretty close and had plenty of logs left over to work with once I reached the level. 6, I went down. I went upstairs and started putting the roof on, but then something really terrible happened. I'm not going to lie, my heart sank at that moment because I thought for sure I had broken my leg again after that fall. I took a break for the rest of the day. since the construction of the roof and in its place I installed an agricultural plot for the citizens to take care of, so unfortunately I do not have images of thebuilding the roof after finishing.
I did some yard work around the new building to make it look a little nicer. Base 79 plus wood on day 80. Took the truck out to start. Assembling beds, one of the things I wanted for this new building was a place for everyone. my residents to sleep and at the end of the day I ended up with 10 beds. On day 81 I started some yard work on the roof. I then worked on the interior of our new building, first walling off the sleeping area and then working on what eventually became a bathroom in an Armory after that I went back to the roof and built the railing.
I then headed back to the police station to get some of those lockers to go to our new Armory on the 82nd. I literally spent the entire day moving around. Inventory and setup everything in the armory in a way that I liked. On day 83, three, I went around grabbing lights, sinks, cabinets and a mirror to make our bathroom. I then decided to build a table where I could display some of our weapons. the Armory and after that I had this great idea that I needed the truck for the 84th. I started building my own spiffos. I was having a great day until the Raiders literally showed up in my bed.
What are walls for? Anyway, they shot me. in the leg and foot, which made chasing the bastards very difficult. Fortunately, Elaine, my resident doctor, was on call that day and she helped remove the bullets from my body. Once my wounds were stitched up, I was able to catch up to one of the The raiders and get my revenge are very frustrating, but there is a silver lining if you catch them, they usually have a gun and a good amount of ammo on day 85. I wanted to take a Break from building and try out this new assault rifle.
I got it from one of the bandits, it was pretty impressive. I spent the entire day taking out hordes of zombies outside the warehouse area on day 86. I claimed I needed to find more axes in my recording so I could buy more wood, but I think Subconsciously I was just craving violence because I went to the next town to loot the zombie store. tools, but instead I spent the whole day cleaning the town by myself. So many zombies. So many bullets but so much fun. I spent so much time doing this that I was done. I stayed overnight at the gas station in town on day 87.
I woke up and started the process again, until I ran out of ammo and had to get creative. FYI, this is a lot of fun to do, but absolutely terrible for your car. I looted the police station and finally made it to the tool shop, but there wasn't a single ax there. I left without finding what I was looking for, but I still felt pretty accomplished as I walked away from this battlefield on day 88. I remembered a backpack I had left on the ground that had some axes in it, which is why I said day 86. I'm not I'm not sure if the axes were the real reason I went there.
I used some wood glue to repair the broken ax and then took the gang back to collect wood for the rest of the day on day 89. I worked a bit more on my rooftop spiffos and since I had some extra boards I thought I'd make a second parking lot because I was already parking my truck here anyway and At the end of the day, I think it was a pretty good decision. On day 90 I decided to replace the ugly broken windows on my first two buildings, making sure this time to alternate the erosion protection. I built another ammo cabinet and went back to spiffos to grab another set of tables.
I thought it would be fun to grab some of those kitchen appliances too and spent the rest of the day working on my rooftop restaurant. Day 91 was a pretty quiet day. I was just salvaging old cars to work on metal. supplies so I could continue Frankensteining my Mustang and bring it back to life on day 92, with only eight

days

left. I decided I wanted to go on one last big adventure. I had been wanting to go to the military surplus store for a while and thought now was the time. It was time to do it, so I grabbed some of my new friends Adam Davey and Shona and off we went.
We decided to take the northern route that ran along the highway and on the way we made a stop to look at a large building on the map. It ended up being empty, but man this place was amazing, it would have been a perfect base anyway. We got back in the car and started heading to the store but it was getting late so we arrived at a place on the road that was pretty zombie free and decided to sleep in the car until the sun came up on day 93, we announced our arrival at the local zombies and we let them come from all sides, they came in waves but we sent them away. them quite easily once it was clear, we walked through the doors and entered Redneck Heaven.
There were so many things. I also found this awesome silencer for my pistol that I was very excited about. I decided to start dressing everyone in new clothes when some Raiders showed up, but that was a big mistake on their part since we were armed to the teeth and at that time I was quite the shooter, we looted what we could from the store, but there were so much so that it would have been impossible to grab it all. Even if I had brought the truck, we spent the rest of the day happily fighting off hordes of undead because we weren't afraid of running out of ammo.
We woke up on day 94 and headed home triumphant. It was quite a long trip so it took most of the day but everyone celebrated when we returned with our loot, we had so much stuff that I had to make another storage container just for ammo on day 95. I finally finished my spiffos and I must say that this is by far my favorite part of the base and now that my base was finished I thought there was only one thing left I had to do. I pulled out my bus, turned on the siren, and worked to properly clean Riverside once and for all.
This mission continued on day 96 and there were a couple of really notable moments, check this out on day 97 and there were only three days left. I walked around just grabbing the things I wanted, some lawn chairs, some park benches and a trash can. Then I walked around my base for a while. I had spent a lot of time here and was almost done with day 98. I spent the day getting a few more vehicles. I've had my eyes on this nice SUV that has been here untouched. I finally had enough level and mechanics to remove a window. without destroying it to get in the car so I can keep this car looking good.
I also took this motorcycle that I had my eye on for a while and then this four-wheeler because why not that night I just sat in my room and pondered for a moment about what tomorrow would bring on the morning of the 99th. .I knew what had to be done. I spent the day touring the area and gathering the necessary equipment and on the afternoon of the 99th I organized a barbecue with all my friends to celebrate our new municipality and how far we have come on the morning of the 100th. I took one last walk around my base , then I got on my motorcycle and left.
I parked outside a family home and finally returned to Where it all began. On day 101 I returned to the roof and discovered that most of my team was still enjoying the barbecue I had prepared for them. I sent everyone to their stations and got to work. I wanted to take my Mustang for a spin. but when I opened the hood I don't remember doing that to the car. I was able to repair some of the body damage, but I still wasn't mechanically skilled enough to repair the engine, so I worked on my mechanics skills. By uninstalling and reinstalling parts on each of my cars while doing this, I also came to the conclusion that in order to continue maintaining and upgrading these vehicles I would also need to improve my metal work, so I took all the propane.
I threw the tanks in the back of the car and headed to the gas station just a note. I added a mod that allows you to refill propane tanks at gas stations because you can do it in real life anyway. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I had the impression that I already had a generator next to the gas station, but unfortunately I didn't, so I slept in my car with a new goal for the next day, which was to find a new generator. They started with breakfast. to Milken more, followed by some bad driving.
I salvaged a vehicle, then repaired the hood and went back to the track looking for a generator. I fought some zombies. I found a shipping container that I marked on the map. I ransacked garages and sheds. I fought a hostile survivor named Blair. and I took the gear from him and then I went home and sorted through all the stuff I had collected at the base. It wasn't a bad run, but I couldn't find the generator I was looking for on day 103. I continued my search starting with some of the local ones. houses that had garages, but to no avail.
I then drove to parts of the city I hadn't previously investigated to see if maybe there was a place where generators could power generators. It didn't look very promising until, gosh, there's a Jeep like that. I immediately derailed my current project and spent the rest of the day cannibalizing other cars in the area to get the Jeep back into good condition. I took it back to base and added all the cool accessories I'd had stored away for then parked it next to the Mustang where it belonged and went to bed when I woke up on day 104.
I decided to write down some of the things I wanted to accomplish. The first thing I needed to do was obviously find the generator, but I also wanted to find a lawnmower if possible, repair the Mustang, expand the base, and get the shipping container and fuel tank home with some clear goals in mind. . I grabbed my friend Campbell and hit the road once again in search of the generator. We scoured a few garages, but still couldn't find one, so we decided to expand our search radius to an area we hadn't explored yet. I thought there would probably be some zombies, but Campbell and I were armed, so I didn't worry too much even when the helicopter showed up.
I was still unfazed Campbell and I were Apocalypse Veterans at the time and were checking out rural housing. How many zombies could there be? When we reached the first house, there were some zombies as expected, so we jumped out of the car. and I started to clean up a few more showed up and we took them out too and then more and then I had to reload with my shotgun's magazines they were empty and my pistol just couldn't take them out no Campbell no I spent the next few hours fighting off wave after wave of zombies and when The battle finally ended there were so many bodies on the ground that I couldn't find my friend to take him home for a proper burial, what's even worse is that the building he died to investigate didn't even have what they were looking for I slept alone in my car on day 104.
I woke up to a thunderstorm on day 105. It seemed quite appropriate considering what had happened the day before despite the danger. I continued exploring the farms alone. I went through barns and garages. until I finally found what we were looking for I went home I made myself a vegetable stew I did my squats and then I went to bed on day 106 I marked that I had found the generator we were looking for and then I added a new item to the list which was find a treadmill knowing it would have a more constant supply of propane.
I decided to bail out some accidents on the road to make driving around town a little easier. I hooked up the generator, filled up some tanks, salvaged a few more cars, and then kept going. On the way home I found this beat up old red pickup truck that had a cool patina look and a wood-lined truck bed, so I decided to hook it up to the Jeep and bring it to house as a fun project car for later on day 107. I woke up. Very early and I decided to take the truck out with the goal of connecting it to the shipping container to bring it back to our base.
When I got to The Container, I backed my truck up but when I went to plug it in, I didn't think anything of it. maybe for some reason it only sticks to one side so I drove back home, grabbed the sledgehammer, drove back, destroyed the fence, backed up the other side and still nothing, finally drove back to the gas tank to See if maybe I could connect it. but again I was disappointed, it seemed like the plan of taking these things home was dead, but just out of curiosity I pulled my truck closer to a vehicle that I knew could tow and that's when I realized that my truck was the problem and I couldn't .
I didn't tow anything, so I went home and grabbed my bus with the fuel tank attached. I first took it to the gas station to recharge the huge device, which took forever, and then I parked it at the entrance to my base so I could easily refuel first. Leaving or returning from a trip, I then went back to the shipping container, plugged it in, and parked that bad boy right outside our garage. Another thing to check off the list on day 108. I went looking for a treadmill. I thought we could find one at the local motel, so I grabbed Adams and we headed there,Unfortunately there was nothing there so we headed to the Riverwood Yacht Club to check it out, we couldn't find a treadmill but we did manage to find one.
Another library of books I decided to look in the trash after that I knew what I had to do. There was a place that I knew for sure had what I was looking for, but unfortunately it wasn't close by, so I spent the rest of the day stocking up on my Jeep. For the long, dangerous road trip that awaited me on day 109, I woke up, got in my car, and made the long drive to Rosewood. He knew the treadmill he was looking for was at the Rosewood Fire Station. I had imagined this was going to be.
A quick mission that was going to require stealth, so I decided to do it alone. As I approached Rosewood, the road seemed to end and was replaced by a forest. I kept moving forward, but this was not a good situation to be in. The trees made it difficult to find a direct path to drive and blocked sight lines, so I couldn't see where the zombies were coming from despite all these red flags, however, I kept going until I got out of the car to eliminate some zombies In retrospect, I should have used my silenced pistol instead of my shotgun because now all the zombies in a fairly large radius knew exactly where I was.
I spent the next few hours dealing with the horde I had inadvertently created and finally after the battle I was able to fight. I arrived at the intersection just outside of Rosewood, but there was a major problem starting to arise. It was getting dark and I had no safe place to sleep until morning. It's one thing to fight in the woods in broad daylight, but it's completely different. Beast do it at night I thought it might be a better idea to try to circle back to an area I had previously cleared as a possible safer place to sleep, but I was quickly forced into my nightmarish situation.
I did my best to stay. within range of the car's headlights but when I ran out of shotgun ammo I had no choice but to flee the area and do my best to buy time to reload, it took a while but eventually it was calm once again. I slept in the car that night hoping I wouldn't be surrounded on the morning of day 110. I woke up feeling a little sick, which is not surprising given the fact that I slept parked on a pile of dead bodies. I drove back to the intersection and once again. I again did my best to take out any nearby zombies as I did so, unfortunately realizing that with all the trees and debris blocking my path, it was probably best to go exploring on foot first.
My plan was to enter quietly and avoid the main street. Instead of opting to use the side streets in hopes of reaching my destination, I was able to get to a place that was fairly close to the police station before it started to get dark. I decided I would try to get in when it was daylight. The next morning I found a police car and went back to sleep waiting for my safety on day 111. My fears came true and I woke up to zombies knocking on the car window. I managed to deal with them quietly with a crowbar, but after that.
I couldn't go back to sleep so I sat quietly between two cars keeping watch while I waited for the sun to come up a little after five I started walking towards the police station I started taking out zombies with my crowbar but when Moore showed up I switched to my still of urine and used the last of the ammo I had after that I felt I had no choice so I took out the shotgun and you can probably imagine what it was like, it took a while but eventually I was able to fight my way to the police station, a Once inside I had to fight my way to the Armory, but once there I was not disappointed.
I looted what I could carry and even found a handy flashlight I could use with my gun. I felt a lot. Better now after having resupplied and after fighting my way out of the building I made my way to the Rosewood Fire Station, I finally found my treadmill, but the zombies weren't going to let me get it without a fight. I had zombies coming in everywhere and I spent the rest of the night fighting them until I was finally safe enough to go upstairs, eat something and move some furniture so I could sleep a little more soundly that night, on day 112, I woke up and I started looting the fire station.
After a while I realized that if I was going to get out of here with the treadmill and even half the things I wanted, there was only one solution, I would have to get out of here, so I grabbed an ax and started. Clearing a path I could drive on, I was lucky enough to find a car in the parking lot that was practically ready to go, so I loaded it up with what I wanted and determined that the next few days were going to be quite a grind. I continued grabbing things I wanted to take home.
I met a Survivor named Elizabeth. This Mission turned out to be a little more complicated than I had originally anticipated, so Liz was a welcome sight. After that, we moved the furniture back to its place. and we went to sleep, the first thing we did on day 113 was outfit Liz with better equipment and then we got to work. I cut trees while Liz watched my back, we went up the road a little bit and then we grabbed the car and moved forward little by little, at some point we stopped to run again to the police station so we could grab Liz a suitable weapon, but then we went back to work, cut down some trees, shot easy and then drove, rinse and repeat all day.
Until we took a break to sleep in the car for the night of day 114, we continued with the plan until we met another Survivor named Carol whom we invited to our group, I thought. Anyone who can survive here alone is definitely worth recruiting. . We spent the rest of the day making marginal progress until we found a place to stay for the night. Day 115. We woke up very early and when we left the building we met Kathleen. She already had a rifle and a full set of military equipment so I thought what a great addition to the squad until she immediately abandoned us in the middle of a fight and I have no idea where she went after things calmed down.
Liz Carol and I went back to work clearing the driveway until it started to get dark and we found another place to rest. On day 116 we finally returned to the Jeep and began loading our loot. It was such a triumphant moment that even Kathleen decided to show up, are you kidding me? Kathleen, how did you do it? We were finally going home and it felt great to get out of this forest after a long trip, we returned to a familiar place and I spent the rest of the time. the day sorting our stuff at the base and checking to find the treadmill off the to-do list.
I started day 117 with a nice jog on my new treadmill. Then I spent all day working on my cars. I needed a day to recover from everything. After the madness that had happened in Rosewood on the 118th, I grabbed Liz and Adams and we went around town grabbing spare engine parts and more metalworking materials so we could rebuild the Mustang's engine and build armor for the Jeep's windows. We did it very successfully and I ended the day with more time on the treadmill on day 119, not much happened. I woke up a little after 10 and then by the time I recovered from my morning run and ate, it was already one.
I checked repair Mustang off the list and then I started thinking about the plan that I wanted to make it a little safer to drive on the highway, so my plan was to take out the zombies between Riverside and the next town after my morning jog on the day. 120, but unfortunately for the Raiders they attacked us. They entered a wasp nest and we took them out pretty quickly, unfortunately, however, not before they shot Ethan and Liz reloaded, you might be wondering why I put the name on their reload list, well it's because since that I gave her the rifle on day 113, she has We never stopped reloading anyway, we patched them both up and I worked to put it all together loading the bus for what I called the road mission.
At this point I would like to draw attention to this. This is what we call omen. just keep that in mind once I loaded up the team I recruited Ethan Adams Shona, reloaded Liz and Kathleen and headed out. Wanting to give Kathleen a chance to redeem herself after escaping in Rosewood, we refueled at the gas station and slept on the bus ready to start early the next morning, on day 121, we embarked on our mission to clear the road of zombies. . The task was quite simple. We drove until we saw a group of zombies disembark, clear the area, and then continue with the amount of people we had.
Basically as simple as target practice, until the Raiders showed up, I don't know how or why, when we were qualified yesterday, but a big wave of Raiders showed up and took us by surprise, they all tried to disperse, but they managed to reload Liz on the leg, she wasn't fast enough and neither was I. Once we handled the group, I turned my attention to Ethan who had suffered quite a few injuries, we regrouped and started looting the Raiders for their equipment when I received the notification again from that we were being attacked. Again Adams Shona and Kathleen ran for cover, but with Ethan's injuries there was no escape.
I was also wounded with a shot to the arm, but I didn't even stop to look until I killed every bandit in sight. It was on day 121 that my war with Riverside Specters began, but I will warn you that things now get a lot worse before they get better on day 122. I cried for my friends, but I felt that the mission must continue. We needed an open road if we wanted to expand our operation, but this time. I wouldn't be caught inadvertently. I grabbed an extra weapon, one that had a longer range, so I could take out the wraiths before they got too close.
I spent the rest of the day arming myself and placing additional food, ammunition and tools on the bus so that we could continue what we had started, at least that's what I had thought on day 123, all my equipment was gone, not just those that They wouldn't witness the events that had happened two days ago, but everyone, I guess, word got out that we were going to continue with the mission. and they lost faith in me. I wish I could say I blame them as painful as it was to lose them all. I didn't have time to mope because more Raiders could attack at any moment and I needed a team this time, although this time I would.
I would do things differently. I would keep the team small and loyal mainly so that my game wouldn't fail again. The first to join was Carrie followed by Grant and then at the end of the day, Donald on day 124. I was grateful for my new recruits, but he was gone. He wasn't ready to trust them, but there was something he had to do first. I got into my car and drove back to the place where we were ambushed a few days before. I found my friends' bodies so I could give them a proper burial. Then I looked in the trash.
The corpses of the ghosts and I swore I would take revenge. Then I spent the rest of the day clearing zombies off the road alone. Day 125. I woke up in a random house I had cleaned the night before on the side of the road. The rest of the morning I finished the mission and arrived at the next city once I was done. I started heading home when I ran into Bruce on the road. I invited him to join us and I thought it was funny that he had a gas mask and a bulletproof vest but he was wearing blue jeans so I called him Brucey blue jeans once we got home I went to work making Graves for Ethan and charged Liz for For some reason it wouldn't let me rotate the crosses but I fixed this later.
Don't worry, I was also going crazy at the end of day 125. I put on the armor I had given Liz and went to bed with a heavy heart on the morning of day 126. I decided that since we were going to keep the small group from now on wanted to give everyone a call sign, so Survivor Grant became the call sign of Grant Collins cockroach Brucey blue jeans became the call sign of Bruce Moore silver Donald became the Donald McNally Ice's call sign and then just as this was happening our last recruit walked in the door Survivor and would become West Cobra's call sign and finally Carrie became the ghost of Carrie Keller's call sign this It was the new squad and now you'll feel as bad as I do if they die now that we all formally knew each other.
I took everyone. I entered the Armory to equip them with some suitable weapons, the Riverside race must have received news of my new recruitment because just as I was equipping my new team we encountered some resistance, they came with numbers but I had the firepower once who took care of them. I had the cockroach repair Cobra and we moved all of their bodies out of the door, after that I finished getting weapons for everyone and made the decision that tomorrow we would head to the military surplus store toequip everyone properly. On day 127 we woke up. I hooked the trailer up to the bus and we headed toward the military surplus store.
Last time we went we took the northern route along the highway, but this time I thought I put a lot of effort into clearing the path between Riverside and this small town. that we would cross straight and then go north, so that's what we did and since I hoped we wouldn't have any problems until we were halfway through the neighboring town, this was the first time I put the new team to the test. and I would say we handled it pretty well, we made some progress and there were a few more zombies than I had anticipated, but after a while we eliminated them as well, we continued this way inching forward and eliminating zombies, but this process was taking a lot. time and I didn't want to have to sleep on the way, so I decided to go ahead and avoid the zombies for a while, until I felt that the number of zombies was getting too large to just ignore them if we didn't. drive them now, then we couldn't drive home this way, at least that's what I told myself.
There is an almost optical illusion that sometimes occurs when you are dealing with hordes of zombies where you underestimate the number of zombies due to their distance. each other when they are grouped together the numbers seem more trivial as if you could shoot them down in waves, it's not until they converge that you fully understand what you've done but by then it's too late, first cockroach, then ice silver and The ghosts were M.I.A and All I could think was that it was my fault. Cobra and I fought wave after wave and as the night settled in, it was starting to feel like we were the only ones left as we cleared what seemed to be the last of them.
Hope returned when out of nowhere Silver ran back towards us. I thought maybe if Silver managed to survive, the ghost did too. I grabbed my flashlight and headed out to look for her in the direction I last saw her running, but as the storm continued and the Darkness set in, it seemed like the best course of action would be to wait and look for Ghost in the morning. I guess neither of us slept well that night, as we woke up around three o'clock on day 128. I went out. off the bus and surprisingly found a Survivor walking in the storm through the piles of zombies.
We were down in numbers so we invited Marion to join, she was Marion Smalls and I gave her the call sign River, we got back on the bus and decided to wait. Until the sun came up before we headed out to find the ghost, we searched for a while before I finally decided to open the Survivor menu to confirm my fears once and for all. Silver had managed to escape, but the ghost didn't silver Cobra River and I made the rest of the trip to the military surplus store as the storm raged outside the bus, we spent the rest of the day outfitting everyone with new gear and loading the bus and the trailer with more weapons, ammunition and barrels of fuel, then we spent the night.
In the tent cots we woke up to snow on day 129 and as we were getting ready to leave we found another Survivor sneaking into the tent. Mark Connors called at midnight, since we were here, we also got him some gear before we left today. I wanted to do things differently and learn from my mistakes, being nice and slow taking out small groups of zombies when we saw them so as not to get surrounded, but unfortunately tragedy usually doesn't care about intention, despite my best efforts to be careful, so was. happening again I was so worried about others for a moment that I wasn't even paying attention to what was happening to me.
I was able to buy silver cobra at Midnight for an extra second but it almost cost me my life. I was able to get I sorted out and turned around to save midnight and then turned my attention to the others running to where I had last seen them and that's when I saw cobra, I don't know how he did it but Cobra managed to get out of there. Madness after Silvery joined my side then River soon Cobra returned to formation and we stood our ground and fought together and then in an incredible turn of events the entire crew made it out alive from Cobra Silver River and midnight , being frankly the most shocking.
Cobra, after that I went back and picked up the mask that had been torn off my face and then we cleared a nearby house where we could sleep the night of day 130. I changed my mind. I was going to drive among the zombies. and not worry about cleaning them until we get back to the bulldozer, a place we had obviously already cleared. I marked the spot on the map and then checked what kind of condition the bulldozer was in. I think it would be a bad understatement here, however. It wasn't entirely impossible to fix, it would just require a considerable amount of time, effort and resources to do so, which seemed to be on par with how everything was going so far, as we were Pretty close to the small town we stop by frequently, I thought.
We could clear the road again, especially since we would want it cleared when we finally got back for the bulldozer and we had already cleared a little here anyway, so we walked a little bit and with the scope of my rifle, the zombies were. They easily took me out without even realizing it. I felt pretty good until we spent the next few hours sitting in an open field trying to take out zombies from as far away as I could. Fortunately, this worked and we were able to successfully wait for the helicopter event. Before getting back on the bus and heading into town, since it was getting late anyway, we decided to wait at a local house and ran into another Survivor named Colin.
He was still wearing his prison jumpsuit, so we gave Colin Biggs the call sign. We didn't have any additional military equipment on the cell phone, so we took the cell phone across the street to the police station to equip it. Our team was full again and we slept in town that night, day 131, we got up early, got on the bus and headed back to base, it was so nice to be back and I was so ready to spend some time working on the security of our house. My first project was going to be expanding the garage.
I started by connecting my two buildings into one since the space between them didn't really serve any purpose. I then removed the glass and added an additional garage door at the end of the night after running on the treadmill. I was about to go to sleep when I heard there was some trouble outside. They were shooting at River. by some random hostile Survivor through the fence of our base. I dealt with the situation but started to not feel good about our defenses. Day 132 Took the team to gather some wood for more construction projects. It was nice to see that the team could work together doing something other than combat.
This lasted all day and I finished the day off with another run on the treadmill. Day 133 was a construction day. I used the logs to build a new room on the second floor of our new combined building. as well as a bridge that connects both buildings in the complex. I then spent the rest of the day furnishing my new room and at the end of the day I felt pretty good on day 134. I started doing more work in the garage. I put asphalt where I wanted to park the cars and then decided I wanted to move the stairs from the inside. from the garage to the outside to make space in the wall, this meant I would have to move some of the things from the park parking lot while I did this, I heard a gunshot, I got out of my car and ran to see what was going on?
But I was too late. Midnight died while I was inside my base. He was supposed to be safe, but he was shot to death through the fence. I stopped working in the garage to bury my friends, not only at midnight, but also roach ice and ghosts. I spent the rest of the day cleaning the area and adding flowers that night I couldn't sleep so I continued working in the garage rearranging and moving things. I didn't end up going to bed until around six the next morning. Obviously I didn't have much time on day 135 as I didn't wake up until it was already late.
I spent the day finishing what I had started the day before by organizing everything, parking the vehicles in the garage and then cleaning up the vegetation on my newly built tile. I took some sleeping pills that night to get my sleep schedule back to normal day 136. I started working on my next big project, something I should have done a long time ago. Wall. I thought I could live here in peace, but. I am constantly reminded that I am at war. At first I put in the corners and then got to work building the main sections, but before long I ran out of wood.
I knew this was going to take a lot of wood, but it didn't. It wasn't until I established the dimensions that I realized how much I was actually going to need. I figured I would need a lot more axes to accomplish this task, so I hopped on my four-wheeler to cruise around town until I remembered a better one. solution, so I headed home to literally shift gears and while doing so I ran into Karen, Judge, Call Sign Manager. I kitted her out and took her with me to start salvaging vehicles and looking for a donor car.
I picked up quite a few engine parts and then found the perfect one. donor a gigamart truck okay look at day 137. I forgot to press record. I know, I know, but this is the only time it happened. I promise that all I did was prepare the gigamart truck for driving by charging its battery and filling it with gas and then loaded it with a bunch of metalworking supplies so we could go get that excavator on day 138. I'll get up bright and early and head out with my donor truck to make the change and repair the excavator.
I stopped near the excavator. 10 30 a.m. m. and then I worked on that sucker repairing and replacing parts until I finally left it around 5 40 p.m. m. It was a long slow trip back home and on the way I thought I'd try out what this thing could do and make my life a little easier. I wanted to make my own detour from the highway to the street my base was on so I jumped off the road and started walking through the trees and I was not disappointed, unfortunately there was a fence which ironically I couldn't. I didn't get knocked down by the bulldozer, so I left it there and went home to bed on day 139.
I grabbed my sledgehammer and opened the fence to let my bulldozer and other cars through. I then used the bulldozer to cut down a bunch of trees while I had my crew pick up all the logs, then I took a pickup truck to help speed up the picking process before taking everyone home. I spent the rest of the day unloading the miscellaneous items I had put in the truck during my garage renovation so I could use it to haul logs tomorrow day 140 we had another encounter with the wraiths, they tried to use the fog to their advantage but I had The High Ground and a long-range weapon, so it wasn't the best move.
Only three showed up, which worried me a little since they usually came with many more, so I stayed on my guard. I walked the perimeter before getting in my car and sweeping the neighborhood. Once I was convinced there were no more hiding places, I went. I went back and grabbed all those logs that I almost died from overloading during this, although just FYI, if you make four bundles of stacked logs and then ungroup them, you will probably drop the logs to the ground, but the ropes used to group them They will remain in your Inventory and I will crush you to death if you are not careful.
It took me a second to realize that one won. 41 I worked on the wall on day 142. I worked on the wall. On day 143 we collected more wood and then I worked on the wall. They won 44 silver and I ran to the local warehouse to try to find more boxes of males, but unfortunately we had already cleared this place. I did find a new helmet though, which was great. Then we headed to storage. place hoping to find some boxes of nails there we went through every storage unit until we finally found some boxes at the end of the day day 145 if you guessed I worked on the wall again you would be right and I did until Once again I stayed no nails on day 146.
I woke up very early and was once again looking for nails. I asked Cobra to join me and the two of us took out the Mustang and began checking the garages around town while checking out some of the houses south of our base, I noticed that on the other side of the fence quite a few zombies had accumulated. , so I decided to head there to clean them. That's when I saw Survivor Marie in a bit of a tough place, we already had a full Squad, but I didn't want to leave her here to die, so Marie Fredericks joined the team as Lucky Cobra and I spent the rest of the day going from house to house. house searching garages, closets and sheds to try to find more boxes of nails.
We slept in the car that night to continue our search in the morning on day 147 it was more of the same I think at the end of the day after all the searching we had a total of three boxes of nails we also found this onehorrible house just filled with zombies that I marked with the face of no with the few boxes we had we returned home to continue with the fortifications on day 148 I worked on the wall somewhere the project was really going well but the three boxes of nails that The day we were very close to finishing the fort but the shortage of nails was beginning to weigh on me.
Day 149 I looked all day for more nails, despite searching all day everywhere I could think of, I didn't find a single box, it was time. Thinking of a new plan on day 150, I decided that the best chance of finding a good amount of nails would be for us to travel to the warehouse area outside of Muldra, it was going to be dangerous and I was worried that the roads might be overgrown like they were. that we had seen in Rosewood, so there was really only one conclusion: we were going to have to take the excavator, so I grabbed the equipment and started loading up for the Trek right before I was about to leave.
Ruth approached me, something that you What I need to know about Ruth is that she has been in and out of the base for probably the last 10 days, since she basically already lived here. I decided to invite her in and Ruth Adams would be known as Relentless since she was so eager to join our crew. I decided to take her with me on this expedition and let me tell you, it was quite a feat. The thing about the bulldozer is that while it is a formidable machine with a lot of utility, it consumes gas and is extremely slow.
We had a full tank, we started and when we got to a town we were empty since we were going to have to stop and refuel here anyway, I decided we should visit the farm supply store just in case, unfortunately there are no nails, but Surprisingly, there were some armor, so I grabbed a new coat for myself and some gear for Relentless. Before we left town, I also stopped by the tool store and managed to find some boxes there, but not enough for Warrant to turn around, so we pressed on. I proceeded with the mission by driving a short distance only to get out and refuel again.
This continued on day 155. I drove for a bit, then stopped and refueled until we finally reached our destination. Fortunately, this place was not covered with trees as I had thought. I was grateful, but it made me feel like bringing the excavator might have been a waste. However, I didn't have this feeling for a long time. Relentless and spent all day going from warehouse to warehouse looking for boxes of nails and at the end of the day. That day I was proud to say that between what we had found in the tool shop and here now we had 16 boxes of nails more than enough to finish our fortifications and even more while we were looting I found an exoskeleton that would make construction work easier.
It was much easier when we returned to base on day 152. It was time to make the long trip home. We made a decent start towards the base before a thought occurred to me and that thought was that I never wanted to have to drive this excavator. long distance again, so if I ever had a clear path through Rosewood, now would be the time to do it so relentlessly and I made a detour and cleared a passable path down the main street of Rosewood for any possible future projects, everything It went pretty well and we got in and out of Rosewood without too many problems everything was fine until our fuel barrel ran out of gas we only had half a tank left and on this thing that wouldn't take us very far I kept checking the map to see how much was left until We arrived at the city.
We were very close, but gas was running out very quickly. Finally, just as we passed the threshold of the city, the excavator's engine died. I spent the rest of the afternoon looking for a car I could extract fuel from and then drove. I took the excavator to a safer location in the city and then had to come up with a plan to get enough fuel to get home. I was going to need to find a generator in this location and hook it up to the local gas station so that's what we did on day 153, we went around town looking for a generator in the sheds and luckily it didn't take us long to find one, we took it to the gas station, we plugged it in, refueled the bulldozer and our big gas can. and we headed home as soon as we got home.
I didn't waste time. I went back to work building R4. We were very close and now we had all the nails we could need. I spent the rest of the day building the railing for the walls and went around until finally, with only a small section left, we ran out of wood, oh so close on day 154, I woke up and took a second to admire how everything It was falling into place, it was a lot of work, but I am very happy with the way it has turned out so far. I finally came up with an appropriate name for our settlement.
In the future, this place would be known as Fort Matthew if you hadn't seen the first hundred days. You probably don't understand that reference. I got my truck out and got the last piece of wood I needed to finish the railing along the end wall with the final piece in place. I felt like we had made real progress against the Riverside Specters and any other hostile survivors out there for the first time in a long time. I felt safe enough to take off my armor for a moment and just relax. I cut my hair and trimmed my beard and took another moment to appreciate Fort Matthew.
I put my armor back on earlier. I went to bed but went to sleep on day 154 happy, a feeling that was unfortunately about to change. Day 155 almost broke me as a person. A perfect storm designed for my death in the morning. Two things happened simultaneously. We were being robbed and one of my generators caught fire. I thought I had to deal with the hostiles first since they had the ability to fire, but by the time that happened, the fire was already out of control. My armory and barracks were gone, but I thought I could save them. another building, if I could stop the fire from crossing the street, I kept running back and forth to the sink to refill the few buckets I had in an effort to keep the fire at bay while forgetting about the bridge I had built in the second floor.
My efforts were in vain and my settlement disappeared the day after I finished building Fort Matthew. It's the day I lost all my food, all my supplies, all my hard work, and even worse, we lost the manager and the money with them that night. I added two more friends to the cemetery and went to sleep in my car in the burned ruins of what used to be my home. Six foreigners. I took the rest of my crew, Lucky River Cell and Cobra, and we headed out of town. Was not going. give up on Fort Matthew but I no longer had what I needed to rebuild we had to go somewhere we hadn't looted yet we had to go to Rosewood we didn't want to get there in the dark we decided to spend the night in our little town next door while we still We had a little time left in the day we toured Gathering food and other resources to continue on the trail, we met Tracy Banks and gave her the Omen call sign in the hopes that she would bring us good fortune.
We spent the night at a nearby house on day 157, loaded up the truck, and began our trip to Rosewood on our way out of town. We saw a survivor named Ronald. There was no room in the truck for him and he seemed happy. Enough was enough with where he was, so we wished him well as we passed. It was a cold, snowy day when we arrived in Rosewood and I had not anticipated the zombie resistance we would encounter. I guess he used to drive down Main Street with a bulldozer. With a little attention we were able to get back to the fire station, a place I thought should be relatively safe since I had already cleared it, but I was wrong, we jumped out of the car and lined up to take out the few zombies we saw coming.
Unfortunately, the trees hid how many there actually were at the time they separated from the tree line. I had to reload and our formation had failed even now. I don't know why River didn't defend himself. She just stood there because she didn't. She had no fight left in her or maybe she went to give the others a chance to escape either way. Once again I was forced to live with the death of a friend just as things seemed to calm down, another even bigger wave arrived and we were surrounded by Omen Lucky and Cell were all in a difficult situation being surrounded.
I tried so hard to save them. They almost bit me now that the cell was gone too, we continued fighting the zombies and were able to regroup and reload for a brief moment before they attracted more. I finally found a place where I could lure the zombies through a choke point. and we were finally able to clear the area even though the zombies were dealing with the job it wasn't done yet these trees were going to get us killed we lost Cell and River because we couldn't see or shoot what was coming so I grabbed a ax and started cutting down the trees in front, after that I connected the generator I had brought and we set up our makeshift barricade again while we slept on day 158.
I thought that if we were going to stay here for a while, I wanted to at least clear the vegetation in this room, I was still feeling the loss of our friends, so I decided that today I was going to explore a little on my own, starting with the police station so I could grab more ammo as I walked through the building. I met Barry Stevens and called him Blackjack. He had planned to explore alone, but Blackjack insisted, so I let him accompany us. We went to Star. We are searching houses and garages for boxes of nails and other equipment, but in the process we are harassed by just a ton of zombies and a frustrating amount of foliage at the end of the day we were able to find a few boxes of nails and another generator.
Day 159 I took the entire team around the city clearing out zombies and checking different houses, stores, and other buildings for nails. Luckily we were able to find a few more boxes, but not a ton. We finished our day at the local supermarket where we found plenty of canned food and other goodies and spent the night in the office on the second floor on day 160. We moved on. the Movement moving from house to house, garage to garage, looking for nails and trying to stay alive, we were making good progress, but these damn trees made everything much more difficult, we had no way of knowing where or how many zombies were around whenever.
Given the time, we were constantly rolling the dice, we did the best we could, but ultimately it felt like there was no end to it and this was a battle we needed to get away from On the way back to the station, we picked up another call from Survivor Katrina Reed. hurricane signal, she really helped us out of some sticky situations during the day, so she had already earned her place at the end of day 160. We started unloading our loot into the truck and trailer and successfully looted 17 crates of nails in the last five days. It's not a bad haul and should be enough to help us repair what we had lost on the 161st Cobra Blackjack lucky almond hurricane and I disconnected the generator and charged it for the long, cold trip back to Fort Matthew.
I felt bad for everyone sitting in the back. of the truck during this terrible snowstorm, we stopped at the charred remains of what used to be a settlement and I had everyone keep an eye on the inside while I went out to bury Cell and River. It was too cold and windy to do much else, so I went to a neighboring house to sleep through the storm on day 162. I began the incredibly long and exhausting process of tearing down the burned walls and replacing them with new ones. I thought this time I would change the look as I was just redoing exactly what I had.
What I did above could have driven me crazy like this. At least he could pretend he was doing renovations. This lasted all day and the next day I grabbed some wood. I met a shorts-wearing weirdo named Snow and then I went back to building and the next. The day was only partially interrupted by a damn raid. Oh man, I was angry, but I guess there's no better way to vent my anger than on the bastards who did this to me. Besides, he had more ammo now anyway. Rebuild at the end of day 165. We had finally rebuilt all of the exterior walls and fences of Fort Matthew with the exception of the gates on day 166.
Blackjack and I took out the Jeep and went from house to house dismantling doors for knobs and hinges, We also grabbed a TV, an oven and as many Outdoor Lamps as we could find, sorted those things into the base and then headed out again later that night to grab some furniture from the local bar. Day 167 was a pack rat day. My main goal was to find metalworking things, like a propane torch. and tanks, but we also looted everything good we could find, replenished food storage, got materialsAt the time I didn't even have a kitchen knife so I spent the rest of the day going from house to house gathering kitchen supplies, pots, pans, bowls, baking sheets, muffin pans and other things of that nature, then I went to gigamart and I started taking ingredients like oil, flour, sugar and butter, finally, at the end of the day, I made myself a pancake after the number of friends this man has lost, after the number of broken bones and bullet wounds of the who has recovered after the things he built just to have. destroyed and then rebuilt this man deserves a pancake, in fact I decided to fully enjoy this moment when the armor was coming off and it was time to be a man for a moment 192 I grabbed my bag and my rifle, but left the rest of With my hidden equipment, I wanted to try to relax a little.
I took out a car that I don't normally use and went back to the bar to grab some tables and chairs to use at the bar we had built. I then spent the rest of the day watching

movie

s in my room day 193 I decided it was time to retire the orange Mustang in favor of the silver one the orange had been repaired so many times that each repair was becoming less and less effective so I moved the Jeep and then transferred the accessories, after that I used the Jeep to take that old broken down truck I picked up on day 106 to the garage for repairs.
It wasn't too difficult to get the body back in good working order and luckily, I already had some spare tires, the most important thing was to get the spare engine parts, so I took out my motorcycle to go pick some up along the way. I ran into a single zombie and took his hat, grabbed some engine parts and while I was at it. So I took a few more movies that I could see as breaking points and completely wrong and of course I also took the popcorn machine. Once I got home, I fixed the truck's engine and now all this guy needed was for his battery to charge overnight.
On day 194 I had an idea that I was going to need some extra space, so I opened the wall on the fenced interior of our base a little more and started moving the cars I used less frequently along the side of the fence . I thought that with my new medical center we needed some proper first aid vehicles parked at these locations, so I ran to where I saw an ambulance the day before and brought it back home. I then ran and grabbed the fire truck that had been in the parking lot forever. Day 195 we were being robbed again but their attempts were useless.
I sat comfortably on my wall and dealt with those Raiders without breaking a sweat. I spent the rest of day 195 watching the sunset over Fort Matthew in my tower with only four days left. I left. I decided there was one last thing I wanted to do. I fueled up my old truck and headed to the small town next door to visit an old friend. I spent the whole day driving around looking for him. I was starting to worry that something might happen. It had happened to him until I finally saw him posted in the doctor's office.
My old friend Ronald Ronald had survived as long as I had on his account, but I wanted to at least offer him Ronald. Kindly accepted and it seemed appropriate that the call from Ronald Drake. The sign was Survivor, it was getting a little late so instead of returning at night I decided to stay one more night at the gas station safe house. This place had been a refuge for me on multiple occasions, so I felt bad for not cleaning up. Still, I spent the next bit pulling weeds around the apartment and finally this place looked like a real safe day.
Day 197 started at 3am when I felt something was wrong, specters were coming and this was not Fort Matthew, we were surrounded. and at first they were in the building. I kept my eyes fixed on the stairs, but they didn't seem to know we were here. I heard footsteps in the snow, so I knew at least some of them came out. I took two out the window and then a third that went up the stairs, after that I sneaked out the back door and was able to catch them off guard. I have no mercy in my heart for the Raiders and took them all down, but clearly this affected Ronald seeing as to how he wouldn't budge from that spot, I guess our experience up to this point was quite different once we got back to Fort Matthew.
I realized something these last few days. I had been playing house and getting fat, but if we were going to continue surviving I needed to always be prepared, we were lucky in the safe house, but things could have been very different if they had gone upstairs. Play time was over and it was time for a change. I had gained some weight and stopped exercising since then. I lost the treadmill in the fire, so on day 198 I ran to the top of my tower and did squats all day. Day 199 I spent the day patrolling around the base.
These people trust me to keep them safe. We have nice things, but. There will always be dangers and I have to be prepared for them on the morning of the 200th. I put on my heavy armor once again and thanked those who had fallen to make Fort Matthew a reality, may they be the last in which it is crazy think. how far we have come what started as a small community so long ago has become a fortress offering protection to those seeking refuge near Riverside, but not everyone lived in Riverside and with that thought on day 200 I got up and began. preparations on the morning of day 201 I gathered the crew to explain the plan.
I would go to West Point and, in my absence, Lucky would be in charge. She was the oldest member of the community behind Cobra, but Cobra would come with me. She wished she could take more people, but as we learned earlier, there was a good chance the roads would be overgrown, so it seemed like the only real chance we had was to take the excavator. The going was slow, but we made it most of the way. On the way to West Point before deciding to call it a night, we agreed that entering a new city with a loud bulldozer was a more appropriate activity for the day.
The next morning we started nice and early, but quickly ran into a problem: zombies were to be expected. but what we didn't expect was that the entire car was blocking the road, this forced us to make our own path through the trees, but it cost us a lot of fuel. With this in mind, once our destination was in sight, I chose violence over landscaping and used the rest of the fuel to kill as many zombies as I could to give Cobra and I a chance to jump in and finish off the stragglers. This was going to be our new home for a while and I spent the rest of the time as such. the day doing some cleaning that night I slept in an office chair on the second floor on day 203 the to-do list was back to get this outpost operational I thought I should start by looking for some generators, one for the base and one for the gas station a block away.
I asked Cobra to guard the base while he went out to get the lay of the land, and as you can imagine, I met some resistance, but then I ran into my first West Point. Survivor Gary Andrews, call sign, cash, cash and I spent the day finding our way to the nearest residential buildings. We spent quite a bit of time trying to make the area safe in hopes of making it through the night, but at the end of the day it was too risky. so we came back on day 204, we put other plans on hold when we started to feel sick just walking around the base, which looking at our yard made sense, so we spent the whole day stacking corpses, even with all the time spent yesterday, we had only made it .
I got through about a third of the zombies out there, so by day 205 I had cash and Cobra stayed with it while I took out the excavator to try and grab a bed and locate some generators. I already knew where the bed was, so I headed there first. knocking down trees along my path to try to make the path more accessible for future use. I also figured that since I had cash and had already spent a whole day here fighting zombies, this part should be relatively easy. I made a mistake. I used the excavator as best I could.
I could reduce the herd, but with each one I ran over it seemed like two more took their place, plus with each pass I was using more fuel and it would be game over for me if I ran away while I was surrounded, I decided to back up and got rid of the bulldozer to take care of the rest on foot. It took me a while and I had almost all my ammunition, but eventually things calmed down and it started to rain. I jumped back into the excavator and held on to the bed as the rain washed away the snow outside.
Now it's time to look for the generators while Cash and I were exploring yesterday. I noticed a storage building nearby, so I headed there to check. I found a bunch of cool stuff, like armor and this weird faceless mask, and I finally did it. I managed to find a generator, so I packed it up and headed home. I plugged it in outside and our new base was finally online. I replaced the office chair with a proper bed and updated my to-do list. I still needed to find an extra generator for the gas station but I would also need to clean the gas station before we could hook it up, plus I needed a new car, preferably one with towing capacity so I could start getting Rex off the road in the morning. on day 206.
I headed towards I went to the gas station and honestly everything went pretty well all things considered. I obviously spent the day fighting zombies, but it paled in comparison to what I had faced yesterday after the area seemed safe. I headed back to the storage building hoping there was Unfortunately, there was another generator hidden somewhere as I headed back to the gas station. I met another survivor named Anne. I explained to him that I would love for him to join our squad, but we already had someone named Ann in our group and it might be confusing but then he said oh no, that's totally cool and it's actually my middle name, my name is Nora and I said, oh, that works great and Nora Frost joined the team like bugs, after that we hooked up the generator to the gas station, now everyone.
What we needed was to return tomorrow with some fuel like bugs and was about to begin the long walk back to base. I noticed this car was in strangely good condition so I popped the hood to confirm and they were fully functional bugs and I jumped out. I plugged it in and drove back to base on day 207. Once again I hopped on the excavator to knock down some trees in my path. I thought I saw a survivor in the woods who might be in a difficult situation. I jumped in to lend a hand, but soon realized that this guy had really made a mistake after that, I figured he couldn't just leave him here and now he owes me, so Gerald Olsen joined the team as Badger, while I didn't want to leave him here.
I also didn't want to take him with me so I left him at the base to help with the cleanup duties, but that detour I continued towards the gas station and spent some time scouring the area to make it accessible for vehicles and luckily I didn't run into too many zombies in the process with the gas station now secured. I turned my attention to finding a good utility vehicle. I had originally written that I wanted a truck but couldn't. I resisted the chance at Mad Max, a military bus again, I wasn't in the best shape, but I've dealt with much worse.
All I needed was a battery so I grabbed the car battery charger I had on the bulldozer and within a few hours the bus was alive again after that I left the bulldozer at the gas station and headed home with my new vehicle now that we had what we needed to start removing the cars from the road I wanted. I first started making my way into the city trying to capture the police station. Also, our food supplies were starting to run out and would need to be replenished soon, since for the base I needed to build some rain collectors so we could get running water. and I needed to do some general inventory management, there was a lot to do so I decided to start at the top.
I loaded my metal working equipment onto the bus and got to work rescuing cars along the highway, which not only made the highway more accessible. but it also gave me the materials I needed to start repairing and upgrading my bus. There were so many cars that I couldn't finish it all in one day, but when I got home for the night, my bus was in excellent condition and now had a roof rack and a spiked plow on the front. On day 209, the team had finally finished moving all the heavy bodies, so now it was time to shift gears and start moving all the heavy logs.
I just feel bad that Cobra is stuck.doing something with them, but she's the only one I trust to be in charge. I finished salvaging the last of the cars and decided to park this trailer near the base to use later while returning to town. I saw a familiar troublemaker lurking nearby. If he wasn't going to help at the base, then he might as well help me, Scout, first we headed to the gas station to refuel the bus and have something to eat, then we started moving on foot towards a new part of the city. We only made it about half a block before we had to stop and fight, which was fine until I ran out of ammo and quickly finished our trip for the day once we got home.
I spent the rest of the afternoon adding some armor to the bus before we headed out. to bed you know those days when it seems that everything that can go wrong turns out right that was day 210 since yesterday I ran out of ammunition for my rifle I decided to switch to my shotgun with the intention of heading towards the police station for resupply but when I left the weather conditions were not favorable for this type of mission. I tried to wait, but after three and a half hours I gave up and started walking towards the gas station to pick up the bulldozer.
I made it. most of the way there before I ran into a small group of zombies which I quickly dealt with using my pistol, my pistol with a silencer, then I noticed a slightly larger group and switched to my shotgun, you can see where it's going this, it's okay, it's okay, everything is okay. At least that was until my shotgun also caught the attention of survivor Alex. I quickly ran for cover behind the storage buildings hoping he would lose interest in me and focus on the zombies chasing him. His rifle blasted everything on it, so I needed to plan my attack carefully once I saw him reload.
I closed the space and reinforced it completely. I was so focused on catching him off guard that I didn't realize I was out of ammo. I kept trying to reload but I kept inserting an empty magazine I still had plenty of ammo I just needed to open the stupid boxes but at that point Alex was in the wind and once again I had to deal with the zombies. I was very lucky to have made a considerable dent in The Horde and managed to kill the rest of the main group. I say I was very lucky because while I was finishing off the stragglers, wouldn't you know it?
Alex came back and shot me in the foot. I limped behind some trees to take cover while he bandaged me. my foot knew he was coming for me, so I figured the best chance I had would be to try to use the trees to catch him off guard. Bye Alex, thanks for everything, after that I started limping towards the gas station looting zombies. By the way, I couldn't achieve what I had planned for the day, but at least I was able to bring the excavator back to the base for an early start tomorrow while driving back home, I accidentally collided with this motorcycle, this was not the first time I came across it and after having a frustrating day I decided I should use the bulldozer to push it aside once and for all, what actually happened was the bulldozer just knocked it over, then ran it over and that was it. getting stuck because of course it was getting late and I had no options so I left the digger and limped back home.
They stitched me up with a cobra and went to bed on day 211. I woke up early with a plan. To get things back on track and I decided that today I would invite cash to come with me first, we took the bus and used it to rescue the bulldozer once it was free, we swapped vehicles and took the bulldozer to the houses we had visited before to grab some food after that, it was time to make our way to the police station, we got about halfway down the next block and I saw one of my dream cars, a Humvee, as much as I wanted to see it, we had already started to draw.
A crowd of Cash and I jumped off the excavator and at first we were working well together, but as we started surrounding each other, Cash started to panic. I tried my best to cover him while he got his bearings but he was too far away and I ended up running away, the best thing I could do for him now would be to keep the zombies away and hopefully I can catch up with him later, once I finished cleaning I went out to look for him in the direction I last saw him running, but with the fog and all the trees finding him seemed impossible.
I figured he knew where we were going so he could think of Rendezvous there. I started heading down the road and along the way I met a new survivor named Joanne, she agreed to help me find cash. so I invited her to the crew as Joanne Gaines' call sign, we continued down the path and found more zombies waiting for us. I decided to use my pistol instead of my shotgun in hopes of not attracting more when the cash, unfortunately, was still shocked and immediately. I ran into the trees and took out the zombies on our side of the forest hoping he would come running back to us.
It seemed to work, but when he broke away from the tree line we realized he was hurt, he was bleeding but he was too scared. He didn't want to do anything about it and he wouldn't stay still long enough for me to bandage him. I kept calling him and with only a few seconds left he finally came to his senses, he managed to bandage his wound, but this journey had ended since then. There were only two seats in the excavator. I left Shiplap on guard while he took cash home to rest. Then I got on Camino.
I traded a few cars, but ended up taking Shiplap and the bus home despite the difficulties I've had the last few days. On day 212 I don't flinch. He was going to get to the police station and he was going to grab that Humvee while he did it. Fortunately, getting there was uneventful, but for some reason the zombies didn't want me to have the Humvee. After hours and hours I was finally able to make my way to the police station and found the success of the Armory. I was finally able to replenish my ammo supply and found a cool accessory for my mask.
Today counted as a victory, especially when I drove home. In my new Humvee day 213 I used the metal I had been collecting to repair my new car. I then put Shiplap in charge of growing crops for our settlement now that we had access to the police station. I wanted to start equipping the crew a little. What's more, I grabbed cash and Cobra bugs and left Badger in charge of defending the base. We first headed to the gas station to fill up, but quickly found ourselves in a situation where before long I had once again burned through my loose shotgun ammo and had to rely on my pistol until I could open another box. , but I didn't get the chance before the bugs paid the price.
We dispatch the remaining zombies and recover our fallen friend. We continued forward, but met with constant opposition and finally parted ways. Fortunately, Cobra is an expert at survival and Cash is good at running, we were able to regroup, but at that point it was too late to continue down this road, so we started driving home feeling the full weight of our loss with the body of the bugs in the back, but our fights weren't over yet when we got home and we had a nightmare: we were under attack and the others were in trouble. I managed to distract the zombies chasing Shiplap while she ran into the forest, but Badger was in a difficult situation.
I charged into the small horde that followed him. against the metal plow of our bus but he was already losing so much blood so quickly that there was not enough time to save him. He just didn't understand what could have caused this. We had been living here for weeks without problems. We parked a little. Up the road and off to work the foreigner managed to join us and together we were able to retake our home with all the commotion we had caused we caught the attention of Survivor Gail and Tracy who came to offer us a hand.
Gail mentioned that I had helped. She got her out of a difficult situation before and she wanted to return the favor for her. We were happy to have them, but we would have to deal with the formalities later while I went to bed trying to make sense of everything that had happened. On day 214 I spent the day. At home I found out that Tracy and Gail Cutler were actually sisters and officially joined the team as cat and caller. Then I had everyone pile up bodies while I buried our friends. After that, I worked on the base's classification inventory and got cash equipped with some additional equipment.
I found day 215. I literally spent the entire day walking around the city killing zombies just trying to make it a little safer, but there was seemingly no end to their numbers. Day 216 was a day of pack rats. First I headed to the houses to finally start storing. I bought myself some food before heading to the local store to start collecting craft supplies given recent events. I decided it was time to focus my attention on building some defenses while I was away. I ran into a survivor named Roy and invited him to join. I gave him the disco call sign and outfitted him with a cool jacket I had found in one of the houses, after that I headed home and spent the rest of the afternoon chopping logs.
I worked on the wall all day. I also built a ladder to the roof. and made some rain catchers on day 218. I worked some more on the wall until I finally ran out of wood. Normally this wouldn't have been a big deal, but the problem was that I didn't have a sledgehammer and hadn't left a gap big enough to punch through the wall with my excavator, so I headed to my local tool store hoping to find one, but, unfortunately, I was disappointed. I managed to grab a few more boxes of nails and ended up finding a miner's helmet on day 219 of my search for a sledgehammer continued as the tool shop was a bust.
I thought I would have to start going to some new houses to check the garages along the way. I found Vic's caliber and decided to have a little fun with it. Progress was slow. but that was to be expected when entering a new area. I headed to a house with a shed, but unfortunately there was no Hammer, despite not finding what I was looking for, things had been going pretty well so far, but that changed when Nicholas showed up. I spent the rest of the night securing the area again. I'm sure Nicholas made it out of there.
I decided to stay here for the night so I could continue my search in the morning. A 220 started with some batting practice that later became a goal. practice and then something completely different. I managed to fight my way back to the houses I had planned to loot thinking I had surely taken care of most of the zombies in the area. I thought it would be smart to shout and try to get last. some stragglers who might be hiding in the trees ah I wonder if what I just did was a mistake. I managed to get the group in line and began defeating them one by one with Excalibur.
I spent the rest of the afternoon fighting off waves of zombies. until it was finally safe enough to sleep in a nearby house day 221 I spent the whole day fighting zombies I only managed to check two garages during the day and there was still no deck the only thing that happened was I finally broke Excalibur day 222 I decided to quit After checking the garages for now, I returned home, fighting my way through the body-strewn streets of West Point. Today was also the day I passed the milestone of 10,000 zombies killed. I returned to my car and then returned to the base where I unloaded some of the things I had found, my expansion plans still depended on freeing the excavator, but going from house to house was taking me much longer than I expected, especially because all this time I knew where a deck was.
I was too lazy to go look for him knowing what I had to do. I decided to get the right car for the job. I spent the rest of the day beefing up my new car for tomorrow's long drive, day 223, Cobra and went out to visit some. Unfortunately, old friends when we arrived, Blackjack informed us that most of the others were looking for supplies and wouldn't be back for a while. Bad timing, but still nice to see the people who were there. It felt good to be back. The first time in almost a month I felt really safe, which made me proud of what we accomplished here and gave me hope that maybe one day we could do the same at West Point.
I took what I had come for and spent the rest of the day working. In my car the next morning, Cobra and I hit the road early, it had been nice to visit, but we had people trusting us to come back after a long trip, we were finally able to resume construction. First I opened the wall and then I used the bulldozer to knock it downsome trees, giving us wood and more visibility around the area. I had the crew start stacking the logs and spent the rest of the day trying to make the base look a little better.
A 225. I decided to keep up. Garden work, this place would never be like Matthew, but I could still work on maintaining it when I finished it. This place didn't look too bad. I spent the rest of the day sawing logs. Day 226. I made it through the day. working around the base first finishing the railings and then getting rid of these blue things in real life they were meant to lift cars but here they were just something to run into a little later we were attacked by some hostile survivors but it didn't work out for them Please and then I decided to continue the path along the wall through the building and wrapped it around to the other side.
I managed to finish the floor and part of the railings before I went to bed. Day 227. I finished the railing around my walkway and then decided to bring cash to salvage some cars and get more metalworking supplies first. We headed to the gas station to refill my propane tank when we ran into survivor William, who seemed to be having some trouble with the zombies. We helped him and invited him to join us feeling that he must have saved us. William Moore joined as Danger after that money scare and I went around salvaging vehicles for parts once we got home.
I used some of the pieces to build a refrigerator and moved the furniture from the old break room to the second floor to start our kitchen. I then set up my bed where the break room used to be day 228 I decided to finally start organizing the base a little more by first consolidating and then getting rid of the extra shelves I didn't need. Then I covered this opening so that the hostiles could not enter this way, after that I built an entrance door along the wall, expanded the kitchen area, put doors in the garages, which, to be honest , it ended up being annoying and then I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out why my sink wasn't working.
Which I didn't end up discovering that day 229 was a more basic job. I spent most of the day doing inventory management, but I also decided to knock down some walls to open the place up a bit more. That night it seemed strangely dark. In my front hallway I thought the overhead lights shouldn't all be within range of my single generator and decided to add finding a second generator to my to-do list. Luckily I already knew where another generator was so on day 230 I took Cash Cat and Peligro and we went out to retrieve it on the road, we stopped at the police station for a minute and I bought the team some new equipment but unfortunately after That's why we had some problems.
I spent days killing literally thousands of zombies on this path specifically. so I figured we wouldn't have too much trouble, this error in judgment caused our group to split up and left me with very little ammo. Luckily I was able to find a nine millimeter box in one of the zombie hazards and Cat regrouped with Yo as I tried to reload my magazines to save money, but with the other two shooting around me, they quickly surrounded us again. I tried to defend myself while the others ran away, but with the trees in the way, the cat was there.
I couldn't see what was waiting around the corner. I tried desperately to save her and almost joined her in the process, but it wasn't enough. After that, I ran towards the police station where I saw danger and together we fought against the Horde. which heartbreakingly included leaving what used to be our once friend in danger and I was done with the rest. I recovered the cat's body as we prepared to leave to look for cash, she managed to find her way back to us, which at this point she should. No wonder we broke the news to the cash when we called the mission and drove home today.
I learned the hard way that yesterday's preparations never guaranteed today's success, which made it even more painful to tell the caller what had unfortunately happened to his sister on day 231. Fate had one more lesson than teach me I felt I had to finish what I had started, otherwise the cat's death would have been in vain Despite my objections the collar decided he was going to do it. He made his feelings clear when he told us that his life's debt had been paid. she would only remain with the group if we agreed to take her with us.
I didn't have a great feeling about it, but the thought of finding her lifeless body stumbling around somewhere didn't make me feel better, we needed to be more. Carefully, I decided to change my strategy. Obviously I made sure to bring plenty of ammo, but I also brought an ax this time. My plan was to clear the trees as we went, making us move at a slower pace while also opening up the view. lines and giving us a better chance to Retreat if necessary, I would use the sound of cutting down trees to attract smaller groups of zombies and had planned that the backbreaking work would require me to make frequent stops, forcing me to take the time to reload my magazines. .
I truly believed this plan would work and keep us safe in almost the same spot where the cat had died the night before we started attracting more attention than we expected. Cash gave in to desperation and lowered his gun as he began to look for a way out if we just worked together we could have made it but soon the danger also lost hope and then even the caller's hatred was overcome by fear, then his In a frantic attempt to escape, they pushed the money to the ground to escape. I should have been able to save him, but It was at that moment that the cruel hand of Fate intervened to teach me my final lesson.
My gun jammed when I needed it most and with that my window of opportunity closed. I looked Cash straight in the eyes as I pulled the trigger and finally realized the truth: I'm not a hero, I'm a butcher despite what I've been trying to convince myself I can't save the people of this world. The best thing I have to offer is the number of zombies I carry with me before I finish Received like cash, given everything that had happened, I lost faith in my squad mates and left them to guard the police station while I left On my own, however, I wasn't alone for long before a man named Bruce almost fell from the sky.
Landing on top of me I told him that he could come with me but that I would let him if he slowed me down. Bruce Thompson agreed and joined the team as Enigma shortly after we ran into a hostile named Steven. I picked his pockets but the sound of combat. had not gone unnoticed Enigma immediately panicked and ran away and I kept my word if he died, that was his responsibility. I spent the rest of the day fighting my way back to my safe house. Day 232. Spent the morning charging the generator along the road. Little by little, while fighting the zombies, I returned to the police station where I had left the necklace in danger and we headed home, we put the second generator on the roof and then we buried the cash, after that I decided to head to the local gun store. shop to see what I could find.
I broke down the doors and what I found inside did not disappoint, especially the exoskeleton suit. I spent the rest of the day getting dressed before returning home. Day 233. I gave Disco a cool new backpack and then decided. It was time to do what I'm really good at, equipped with new equipment and ammunition. I grabbed my shotgun and headed to Main Street, but before the fight, guess what I found? Are you kidding? There's a deck right there, oh my gosh, yes I remember day 218, when we first needed the deck. I was here, well there was a deck right here anyway.
I fought and fought and fought some more, stopping for a while in the bookstore before continuing to fight more and more zombies. I finally came across a survivor named Denise and invited her to join the team, but she still hadn't found a call sign. After that, we headed to the clothing store where I bought more equipment for the team and a different jacket that I liked. It was super frustrating when I was heading to this building. I missed the door and ended up running into a tree, scratching my thigh and putting a hole in my new armor.
All those zombies and a plant were what caught me as I limped home. I decided. that Denise Moss would be known as Echo once we got home I decided to ditch the miner's helmet for something a little heavier before I went to bed on day 234 I decided I needed a stove for the base and I wanted to start looking for a cutter of grass, I wanted to find one while I lived in Riverside to help me clear the roads and the area around my base, but I never ended up finding one. I read that they could usually be found around farms, so I marked the spot.
I knew from my map that there was no way I was going to get a car there, but I thought maybe a motorcycle could get through the trees, however, it didn't take me long to realize that this probably wasn't going to work either. Driving around town was really starting to bother me, so I grabbed the bulldozer and spent the rest of the day knocking down trees on and around Main Street. I stopped at a house to pick up a stove, set it up in my kitchen and went to bed. Day 235 I decided to finally start doing some of my chores.
I spent all day labeling bins and sorting all my stuff now that the trees were gone. I decided on day 236 to take the disco and danger to get rid of the cars on the way. I decided to move the mobile generator back to base and then use the metalworking supplies I had gotten to add armor panels to the Humvee. I gave Danger some new clothes and then we went back out and spent the rest of the time. Day clearing more cars that marked the now passable sections of the road. Day 237. I decided to revisit my idea of mowing the lawn.
I drove to the furthest point I had cleared and then began the long walk towards the Farms. I chose not to fight the zombies along the way. so I could save my ammo for any fights I might have around the buildings. I finally made my way through the trees to the first barn, but there was no lawnmower. I fought off some zombies and got scratched by a tree in the process, not great though since I was now limping and bleeding, but I managed to limp my way through the group and handled the situation. I bandaged my leg and lamented the extra hole in my armor.
After that, I crossed the street and once again found myself in a fight. it was over I stopped and slept in a nearby house on 238 I continued my search from building to building looting while looking for a lawnmower I also decided today that for fun I was going to use my melee weapon as much as possible to be close and in person always it made me feel more oh oops oh oh that was so close I finally feel so alive I replaced the welder's mask that was ripped off my face with a new mask that I felt fit me better I continued making my way around the area making my way through hordes , but at the end of the day there was still no sign of a lawnmower.
I'm going to pause the story here for just a second to give context for what happens next, since I hadn't found a lawnmower. However, not just today, but throughout the game, I checked the mods page again to see if anyone else was having the same issues. That's when I realized I was missing one of the mod dependencies. Now I'm not entirely sure if that dependency or not. It would actually have something to do with its spawn rate but it meant that even if it did spawn you wouldn't be able to use it properly which brings us to this while we're here if you're enjoying the story so far and think others might also consider clicking on all those YouTube buttons people always talk about.
Day 239. I began the long walk back home. I walked a little further down the path before I heard a familiar noise. The Raiders were approaching. I immediately ran for cover. I stayed low and close to the woods as I searched for them, it wasn't until I heard gunshots on the other side of the trees that I knew I was safe, at least that's what I seriously thought, buddy, my plan on the way home was just I walked through the zombies again until I saw one with a sword running through it as I defeated it. I began to hear another familiar sound.
I drew my sword and prepared for the fight to come. The sword was slow but I used it anyway cutting down the zombies one by one. I looted the zombies and continued on my way choosing to fight until my sword broke, at which point I returned to my original plan calmly walking through the hordes as I headed towards home, unfortunately the day's festivities took up more time than I expected. I decided to spend the night in one of my safe houses the next morning while I prepared to returnDanger managed to catch up with me shortly after Cobra also headed our way and then Disco and Finally, even Enigma I was glad the plan worked, but it left me overconfident.
I can't even remember the last time a zombie had hurt me. I guess this was a friendly reminder that death is just one mistake away. On the 263rd day we walked. I went back to grab the car, then drove off and grabbed the two generators before heading home. We had to take our time on the way back because we only had four seats in the car, which meant someone had to run. I spent the rest of the afternoon preparing for our next move on day 264 I left, you know what that means, the next morning I decided to check the area.
I wanted to see how passable the road was and I would also need a bed and some supplies for The Outpost, but as I suspected, the road would need some work before I could drive and similarly, the zombies I finished clearing when I was It was getting dark, so I came back while I was getting ready for bed. I saw Survivor walking around the area. I assumed he had done it. He's already been living around here and might be interested in helping out with the outpost. He agreed and joined as Gator on day 266. I decided to bring reinforcements to help me with the outpost.
I hooked up a truck that I could trade for my bus. I loaded up and bought a bunch of supplies and brought Cobra Disco Danger and Enigma with me, but unfortunately on day 267 I had to return to base again because I forgot my propane tanks. I made it a little way down the road before stopping to fight, I guess. All my driving had attracted some attention, but I have to say I wasn't mad about it. Something about this new helmet lit a fire in me. I felt like the predator and craved violence and the universe was adapting to the foreign.
Honestly, I have no idea. where all these zombies had been hiding all this time I had to fight again as I went down the road and it was logical that if there were zombies here there would be zombies around the base that wouldn't want to fight in the dark, I decided to sleep in my car and letting the walls of the fort do their work during a nighttime day. 268 I secured the perimeter around the base and then charged a second time for my outpost. I got out but then oh I forgot one of the most important things I wanted to take with me as I retreated towards the base, somehow we were under attack this time.
I used my shotgun to clear the clearing so I could take out any zombies that might be hiding once it was over. I plugged in the portable generator. I had forgotten about everything until today and decided to leave on the morning of day 269. I drove back to the gas station, the others introduced me to a survivor they had met while I was away and we gave Barb Graves' call sign, After that we had some time. work to do, we had one group cutting down trees and collecting logs, another posted on guard and I got to work salvaging wrecks, then I started working on the construction and by the end of the day we had made good progress.
On day 270 there was more work at The Outpost. I finished the railings and then built some countertops before stealing a sink from one of the nearby stores and hooking it up to the rain collectors for water. I then started going through some of the equipment I had and decided it was time for Cobra to have better equipment, after all she was my oldest friend and was the acting leader of our new Fort so it made sense that she She was as well equipped as I was. I started the next morning grabbing a cooler for the new Outpost and then headed out to grab a bed.
I spent most of the day salvaging wrecks and cutting down trees so I could drive to the Dixie mobile park. I grabbed some supplies and spent the night. Day 272 was the day that everything changed. I wanted to continue exploring the area before heading over. Behind them were some other commercial buildings to the north and I wanted to get an idea of how difficult it might be to drive to the top. Almost immediately I came across a ton of wrecked cars, fortunately, however, most of them seemed to be on one side. On the way I went up to the buildings and found a small gas station and a restaurant before continuing along the road as I went I checked the bed of a nearby truck and there it was finally the fishing equipment finally the wait was over the change I didn't have, I'm just kidding no way oh my goodness nothing else matters anymore this discovery was a game changer advancing the distances would be trivial paths obsolete I wouldn't have to worry about wrecks or trees when I could just fly over them I was so excited I just focused on all the potential good it would bring me, but I didn't know at the time that my new wings were made of wax and that I have a bad habit of flying close to the Sun.
I headed back to the outpost to gather what I needed for tomorrow. 273. I woke up and took the Cobra disco and the danger to see what I had found. I wanted them to be with me during the maiden voyage. I installed the charged battery and added the fuel. I put my electrical skills to work and it came to life. At first I stayed close to the road while I familiarized myself with the controls, but once I got comfortable I knew what I wanted to do first. I flew over the trees and headed towards the river. Our first flight was a success when we landed outside Fort Matthew it was very nice to see everyone again hurricane luck Blackjack Omen Fang shield and my son Ronald o Survivor I gave disco and danger a tour of Fort Matthew before going to bed day 274 I spent the morning grabbing some supplies for our trip home.
I spent some time repairing the helicopter and then we left, but of course there was something I needed to try on the way back. Ah, this is the best. After that, I decided to see if I could park this thing close enough to the gas station to refuel. and I was able to, but before we could get back to the main base we were greeted by some zombies, which wasn't too surprising given all the noise. We handled the situation before returning home, leaving Enigma Gator and Graves in charge of the new outpost. I soon ran into a problem when it got dark, it was almost impossible to see and the only light this thing had was mounted on the right side.
I was struggling to land with limited vision and was making a lot of noise in the process when I finally managed to land, it was too late, the caller was the first to enter the fight but had to retreat when they were almost overrun everyone was fighting together to protect our home, but there was more to come, much more fortunately we didn't lose anyone this time day 275 We got to work repairing the base. I had everyone piling up corpses while I built an extension of our wall for a dedicated landing area to continue construction on day 276.
I needed a sledgehammer that I had coincidentally left in my Humvee given everything there was. happened, you would think I would have driven there, but instead I flew. I spent a good amount of time after that clearing out zombies before I could get back to work on the wall day 277. I spent the entire day finishing the wall and assembling the landing pad day 278 I needed hinges to make a door for the base. It was hinged but I took them all to the other base. Day 278 of The Outpost was also the day I decided to stop vaguely referring to the areas I had colonized. and give them names next to Fort Matthew, now we also had Fort Bear and the delay station foolishly.
I took my helicopter again to head down the road towards the delay station when I arrived, the crew was already in a difficult situation. I tried to save her but Graves was already there. After that, I was faced with a difficult decision: do I take the time to land by disabling my weapons leaving the others to fend for themselves or do I stay in the air and cover Enigma and Gator? I knew landing would have been the right decision. but once again I fell into my old habit of trying to be a hero after a while there was a break in The Horde and I took it as an opportunity to land but by then the damage was done I did everything I could to achieve it.
The others left before we parted ways, now it was time to clean up my mess that night before I went to bed. I thought about what had happened to be honest. I'm not sure I would have been able to save Graves even if I had chosen to drive, but When Enigma came back and told me that Gator wasn't coming, I knew he had one on him and neither of us could get much sleep that night, so early the next morning I decided to give Enigma some new equipment and then we went looting the battlefield waiting. so that the sun would come up before we flew home I made sure to fly the same path as before to minimize the amount of zombies it would attract to us, it wasn't a guarantee but it seemed to work this time after that I built the metal doors The ones I needed the hinges for then buried the people who died from something so small on the 280th.
I decided I wanted to improve Fort Bear's defenses to accommodate the coming and going of a helicopter, so I took the van to the warehouse taking a fuel trailer on the way grabbed a few items for a couple different ideas filled the trailer with gas and headed back home I wanted to set up a second barrier around the fort that I could shoot through or through From the top of the interior wall, my first thought They were sandbags, but once I realized you could jump on them, I decided against it. My second idea was tall metal fences, like the ones Fort Matthew has, but sturdier, it would definitely be safer this way. but you would have to be creative to find the resources for this project.
Day 281 was the beginning of what felt like my biggest project to date. The first thing I needed to locate was more welding rods, so Cobra collar and I headed over there. to the warehouses in Riverside where we managed to pick up four after that we headed to Fort Matthew. It was strangely nostalgic flying through the city seeing remnants of what seemed like a past life. We were able to gather three more welding rods from Fort Matthew earlier. Returning to Fort Bear on Day 282 I spent the morning working on the fence until I ran out of supplies, after which I went around town collecting scraps left from the rescue vehicles before returning home to repeat the process.
Day 283 I needed more scrap metal. and I wanted to get my Humvee back, luckily these things coincided because it turns out that burnt out cars actually give more scrap than functional cars when salvaged and my Humvee was parked around a lot of burnt out cars. I cut cars all day before returning home abroad. for more fencing and more salvage on day 285 I ran out of welding rods, so I headed to the warehouses north of Moldra, killed a group of zombies from the comfort of my pilot's seat, and then proceeded to pack up rats and I finished the day with 19 welding rods out of three.
Of the five buildings in the area, all 286 of them, I built some more fences and then headed to the river where I knew there were more burned wrecks. The only reason I'm extending this day is because while I was rescuing they kept happening to me. just a bunch of random survivors, so many that I started writing down their names to make sure I didn't go crazy and see the same people over and over again by the time I got home I had passed 19 different people a day. 287 construction closer before taking the excavator around to clear some space once again.
I had run out of scrap metal and had already salvaged all the nearby wreckage, well that's not entirely true. I grabbed Echo Enigma and headed back to the river. In my mind it made sense that if there were wrecks on my side, there would also be wrecks on the other side of the river. All I needed was a bridge. One thing to note here is that I didn't fill the bridge completely. on the other side on day 288 the weather was absolutely ridiculous I finished the width of the bridge and left all the extra planks I had on the ground to finish the length another time a seemingly sensible conclusion then my idiot brain thought this through well It's probably not the Smartest thing in the world, but since I have the rest of the day, I might as well take the helicopter out and try to clear the other side to explore how much wreckage there is, so that's what I did with terrible visibility and gale-force winds.
I fueled my flying machine and took 300 rounds of 556 so I could wipe out the zombies on the other side of the river. I could only see ominous silhouettes through the fog and rain of an army of undead beginning to form, but what did I do? Be careful at this moment I was untouchable I was a force of nature like the storm that surrounded me the sound of my swords was thunder and my bullets the rain their numbers meant nothing to a man who could fly until the wax melted oh oh so thereI was standing in the rain on the other side of An Unfinished Bridge with only a few hours of daylight and my helicopter continued to attract zombies from all sides armed with a gun and a flashlight, what would you have done once I got past my initial?
Surprise, I started going through my inventory to see what kind of options I had. Fortunately, I hadn't saved the things I used to build the bridge before coming here, which meant I still had a saw and nails if I could find this. things to make an axe. I was able to finish the bridge and get out of here to find what I needed. I had to look for it reducing my already limited visibility in a sea of trees. It took me about an hour to find a piece of rock, but it took me over three hours of clenching my ass to find a tree branch in a damn forest, as frustrating as it seemed like I was going to make it.
I cut down a tree, cut some boards and finished the bridge. Then I used the boards I had left perfectly. Out of reach on the other side to build a dividing wall for those curious about what happened back there. Pressing D causes bullets to come out of your helicopter. Pressing e makes you exit your helicopter. Day 289. I had to get my helicopter back. I was. I reached the end of my bridge and started screaming like crazy to attract the zombies. I guess they didn't realize that the only thing separating us was a flimsy wall. I took as many as I could off the bridge before venturing out on what A wild turn of events, especially when you consider how few shipwrecks there actually were on this side of the river when I started looting zombies.
I found a guy walking around. If this guy could blatantly walk into the consequences of this nonsense, this guy was worth recruiting. Kai agreed to join and I gave him the call sign Hellion after we finished looting. I turned my attention to the helicopter even though it was on its side, it was still in good condition so we jumped out and headed home. Day 290. I walked back to the river and grabbed. After that, I equipped Hellion on my Humvee and the two of us, along with the disco and the danger, flew to the junkyard in Riverside to get more scrap metal.
On day 291 we headed back to the RV park through the delay station to find more wrecked cars, of course. I had to fight off all the zombies that a helicopter attracts, but I managed to do it with enough time left in the day to save a few cars and get back to Fort Bear and on day 292 I finally finished the outer fence. What a process it had been, but I was happy with the result at least I thought so until I saw a zombie while I was installing some lights. I thought what a perfect opportunity to take advantage of my new security measures, since it turns out you can't shoot through these fences. shoot through the fences at Fort Matthew, that's why we built the wall in the first place, but apparently not these.
On day 293 we got more wood to continue. Construction day 294. I worked on building these wall outcroppings that would allow people to shoot zombies. on both sides of the fence day 295 I spent the morning finishing the wall additions, it wasn't what I originally envisioned but I guess the same could be said for this whole mission after that I headed to the bar and got a table billiards and a pinball machine for the base. I spent the rest of the afternoon thinking about the future while repaving the parking lot and laying tile around the farmhouse and feeling like my time here was coming to an end.
There was one last thing I wanted to do. On day 296 I was heading to the secret military base outside of Rosewood. I thought that if I was ever going to find the people who had been flying around me for almost a year, this would be the place, but what I found was much worse than I could have imagined. I may have imagined it, in fact I can't even show it here, but I'll come back to this at the end for those interested. Day 297 I wanted to do one last thing for the people of West Point, armed to the teeth.
Walking and walking through the city streets taking down all the zombies I could find was enough, who knows, but at least I was able to take out a few hundred more from the table. I spent day 298 wandering around the base enjoying what we had built and watching the sunset while sitting. On the 299th day of the wall, it was time to break the news to everyone. I was leaving and I didn't know if I would return until now. He had killed tens of thousands of zombies, hundreds of raiders, and hostile survivors. 23 friends die on my watch I was tired and this city no longer needed a butcher on the morning of the 300th.
I got in my helicopter and flew away, thank you.
